Ordering off our phones and food coming at different times. We all sat around looking at each other as one person ate and we just had to wait on our food. Very strange. Veggie bowl was tasteless. Hot honey chicken was double breaded with a thin slice of chicken. The chicken wings were fried too long with very little meat. I ordered the catfish and fries. I said "They don't have seasoning in the back." Everything had no taste. We killed everything with any kind of sauces we were given. I ordered three empanadas. Chicken, traditional beef, and spicy potato. I recieved one chicken and two potato empanadas. I DO NOT like eating with plastic utensils. Everything was plastic. I need plates and silverware. I didn't leave a tip because the only item brought to me was a plastic container of tasteless food. My son said "I feel like we have to go get something to eat after we leave here." This place was perfect for us! Going out as a family can be challenging because of our different taste preferences and wide age range of our kids-- elementary to college. We had the sushi, chicken wings, and birria taco. Everything was delicious, especially the consommé. I wanted to dip everything in it, so yummy. We also tried the chicken sandwich and fried fish--they were hot, crispy and flavorful. The chicken was juicy and had just the right amount of kick. The sports channels on the large screens = happy hubby. The beer wall selection is amazing! My husband is a beer drinker and I am not. I love it that they even have cocktail options on the wall for people like me. The house margarita was one of the best I've had. I did not expect that from a beer wall! Go for drinks, the experience, and maybe some snacks, but prepare for bumps. We arrived and were given like 47 menus. OK, maybe 25. Some were crossed out. My friends all ordered tacos and similar. I proceeded to apparently pick everything that wasn't available. Several sandwiches, dumplings, nope. OK, I went wild and ordered the short rib. Why not!? We next tried the Old Fashioneds on tap. This was an interesting self serve deal and rather amusing. Drinks were, well a little better than you'd expect from a premixed old fashioned, and strong. Now I'm a bit tipsy and someone brings us a plate of ribs. Oh no, wrong table! It takes me a bit to realize that while I'd ordered short ribs, somehow that had gotten to be ribs. Eventually I'm brought what is to be "short rib" and oh my. I'm not sure what cut of beef this is or if it's even beef. It's definitely not short rib and it's not a cut of meat I've ever seen. It's very tough and coated in a very sweet sauce. The mashed potatoes on the menu with it were not with it, but would have been awful covered in that sweet sauce. The little vegetables were mostly spared the sauce so those were good. I know you may be wondering why I ordered short rib in such a place, but I love short rib and live close, so if it was good I'd be there a lot! And I did try to order a bunch of other things. (PS ask for Destinee she is the most incredible server) While some of their vendors are independently owned (and the service at Chicken Pop in particular left much to be desired -- including a disappointing interaction with their self-proclaimed assistant manager), the Tempe Eats team went above and beyond to make things right. It upsets me to give such a low review because the fish and chips from Fish Pop was excellent! However the problem came with the service from Fork Off. We ordered the birria tacos with corn tortillas. They came with a hair in them. - No big deal, it happens. So my husband returned the them and just asked for a remake. The guy, with shaggy hair in his eyes (hmm), brings over the tacos, puts them on the table and says "No hair." No apology or anything. I said "Oh thanks, but these are chicken and we ordered the birria." I didn't even mention the flour tortillas. He looks at me confused and asked if we were the ones with the hair in our tacos and I said yes but we ordered the birria tacos. He explained these aren't an order these are the ones they remade. We explained that that we understood that but the original order was for birria tacos. He takes them back, after much unnecessary confusion, and brings back another tray of tacos. 2 birria, one chicken. Flour tortillas. We just kept them. Perhaps better training in customer service and food running would go along way here. If there's a send back, before it goes back out, check the ticket, make sure it's accurate, get it to the table and apologize. Gentlemen that greeted us was so friendly and welcoming! Hubs and I had a decent time. We started with with drinks that were really good. He had a hennymarg and I had a regular. We made it there before happy hour ended (at 7) so we took advantage of the drink deals. It was karaoke night, and was fun watching others sing. Great concept, I was excited to try this place. The idea is that you can order small orders from lots of different types of cuisines and you can order dishes made for sharing with friends. The interior decor is great, really beautiful space and beautiful furniture. The wall of beer taps that are self serve is a cool idea. Both the food and the service need improvement. The employees are very friendly but overwhelmed, they need more servers. In my opinion, they should allow patrons to just order at each mini food stand and then bring the food back to their table or have the food delivered to their table. I think that would be better and faster than ordering from a server. The food was not great, especially considering the price. The wings were on the small side. The spicy California roll was better quality than grocery store sushi but can't say much else about it. I hope they can work out the kinks and improve the food because I think this place could be a really fun place to hang out with friends. read more

A cool concept with an extremely poor execution. I've been to similar places like this in LA or Chicago, but this is undoubtedly the worst. Charging pretty high prices for frozen tier food, it's pretty appalling how bad it is. The service is also not great. It's a confusing concept because it almost seems like you can go up and order like a food court or order on the app. They specifically told us to order through the servers, but they are not around very often. Multiple times we've had empty drink cups and had to seek them out to get refills. I tried their margherita pizza which has one of the worst doughs I've ever had at a restaurant. It's about as good as a frozen pizza. The dough is too tough, the tomato's aren't even peeled, the cheese isn't fresh. It's like a chef who only heard the ingredients of a margherita pizza that has never seen one in their life tried to make one. It's like doodle bob vs SpongeBob quality. It's actually a parody of a margherita pizza. The shrimp taco was pretty decent flavor wise, but it's so dry. The coleslaw (?) Is like just a salad with no dressing. There's so little chipotle cream that I thought I was drowning while eating it. It really makes you sympathize with the shrimp that is out of the water. The cheese is kind of weird imo but isn't terrible. I'd use a different kind of cheese or no cheese at all. The burgers are also so dry it's insane. They don't have much flavor and are a mess. The pictures show what a medium burger is here (hint: they couldn't be more overcooked even if you tried). There's no trace of pink at all on the patty. It's dry, tough, and flavorless. If this is wagyu, then every fast food place must also serve Kobe beef. Also it's like $16 for no fries? What an insane value proposition for something the chef(?) can't even cook properly. There are hardly any mushrooms on the mushroom and swiss, and the truffle oil doesn't come through at all. Pickles and raw onions on something like mushroom and swiss is strange and shows how thoughtless the menu is. The green Chile burger might as well be the mushroom and swiss because they taste so similar. I actually asked for ketchup on the side just so I could eat it, and I do not like ketchup on burgers I'm paying $14-16 for. Honestly one of the worst 'restaurants' I've ever been to service or food wise (the servers are friendly - just not around). It had high hopes from me with the concept, but all the food seems to come out of one kitchen with one guy who loves overcooking things and sending out dry food and calling it a day. I could microwave pizza better than this. Overall, wouldn't recommend even to my worst enemy. read more

An incredible food experience from a great, warm welcoming atmosphere to service and amazing food. The server made some really great suggestions from food and drink and I loved them all: Empanadas: We got one of each and I loved them all with and without the sauce but the sauce definitely kicked it up a notch in flavor! They all were crispy and flakey on the outside, the insides were all incredibly tasty and oozing with flavor. I wish I had more stomach space to eat a ton of these! Gambas y papas a la diablo: Freaking delicious! Succulent, perfectly cooked shrimp and potatoes doused in a buttery delicious sauce that had a nice heat and wonderful crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside bread to pick up the deliciousness. If I could, I would drink that sauce. Bruschetta: So many choices! It was hard to pick from them all. The traditional was typically tasty with fresh tomato and basil, the elote and cowboy peppers had a nice flavor and a good heat, and the smoked salmon and capers was like a tastier version of what I typically enjoy on a bagel. For all of them, the bread was fresh, nicely grilled/toasted with a nice crunch and fluffy inside. I can't wait to come back to try the other flavors! Hawaiian poke nachos: Tasty fresh tuna and salmon, diced avocado, diced cucumber, thinly sliced jalapenos, a tasty spicy mayo, and in house made chips. Yum! It was a nice, crispy, and fresh tasty treat. Lychee martini: I loved how this had a great lychee flavor and was perfectly balanced. Spicy margarita: I love the nice twist on a margarita with the slight hint of smokiness at the end. The tajin rim was the perfect "cherry on top" for this tasty drink! Desert reviver: I'll admit that I mainly wanted to order this drink because it came with a smoke bubble. It was a fun and cool presentation but it was as tasty as it was cool! I loved the flavors that came out of this complex drink! Neaux fashioned: A nice twist on old fashioned as it has a bit of cognac and a hint of absinthe. Overall, it was a great experience, atmosphere, service, and tasty food. I loved all of the options from great food to a nice twist on classic cocktails. I didn't get to try the beer wall and I missed out on some items like the Oozy Wellington Sliders but I'll have to wait until next time! read more

John, who is a super nice guy, explained the concept to us, and our waitress was fantastic (friendly, fast service). As for the food, it exceeded all expectations. I opted for a lunch special which was a massive Caesar salad topped with a large sliced chicken breast - all for an unbelievable price of $11.00 including the soda! The empanada with chimichurri sauce was my fun accompaniment, and at just $4, it's a steal, as is the other option which is 3 empanadas for $10. I've already decided that next I'm going to do an Italian French mix, ordering pizza or pasta from the Pastiazza menu and dessert from Maison Bijon. There are tons of TVs for entertainment and a vast selection of beer choices on the "Beer Wall" (40 beers). I could see the beer lovers over there absolutely digging that. What a great concept! This place has everything you'd want to watch a ball game and eat from a great choice of restaurants. Came with my family and we can order whatever food we want. My daughter had the sushi, my sons and I shared birrias (yum!) from Fork Off and wings from ChickPop (very good dry rub and Korean BBQ sauces). My wife had fish & chips from FishPop (melt in your mouth) and the crispy chicken sandwich from ChickPop. We love that you can get whatever great food you want, get drinks from the beer wall and watch your game with your family or friends. my wife doesn't drink beer BUT there's a full bar where she can get her wine.
