Went to the grand opening and I'm impressed. Not only was the staff friendly, but responsive as well. The overall ambiance was stunning and somewhat shocking as it felt almost too classy for Tucson. The Chilaquiles Con Pollo was good. The server had mentioned it being spicy at the time, but I found it just right. The only issue I had with the food was just due to me not being a cilantro person and forgetting to ask them not to include it which was my own fault. I enjoy going to the other Teaspoon location so I thought I would try this one. I came in when it was very slow - after the breakfast rush but before the lunch crowd. I came by myself and asked for patio seating, preferably in the sun. The few two tops on the patio were occupied, and several tables of four were open. The young male host said he couldn't seat me there because I didn't have enough people with me. Even though the restaurant wasn't busy, he was going to have me wait until one of the two tops became available. I just left. The hassle was not worth it. read more

Ambiance is poor. It is extremely loud inside and difficult to communicate with friends at same table.

I have been here many times. great location so its easy for us. We get there early because we know how it can get. I normally get the burner with an egg for breakfast but this time i got the grilled cheese with egg and cheese on top. that was actually pretty damn good. Next time I would say get extra extra cheese on top. its shredded parmesan i think or something in the lines of that type of cheese, but it makes the sandwich. My Fiance got some sort of sweet egg with sausage or sweet fluffy like item and im just not a fan of the sausage taste and the sweet egg ish texture to the plate. Foothills Teaspoon is bright and cheerful. Everyone enjoyed their food; just the right size servings and the menu has a good diversity. If the weather is nice, take the opportunity to sit outside because it is noisy inside. The reason this review is not a 5 -- our party of 5 adults was squeezed into table for 4 even though there were plenty of open tables. This seating configuration does not allow sufficient table space for all the dishes and is very uncomfortable for the 5th person sittin,g in the aisle. read more

Food was really good. They were extremely busy, but the surface was good. The inside section needs to be more soundproof. The noise from the table next to us was so loud that we couldn't hear each other talk. We were there to celebrate my birthday, but our table seem to be one of the quietest ones even with a four-year-old in an eight-year-old at the table. I really enjoyed the savory crêpe. My husband, love the turkey sandwich with all the fresh veggies. My grandson adore the mini pancakes with a side of bacon, nice and crisp. My granddaughter loved the Toscana soup but it was a little bit creamy for her. My mother had an excellent veggie omelette. My daughter had the chicken and biscuit gravy. And I might Son-in-law had a hamburger which seemed kind of small. Fries were great and everyone enjoyed their food. Sorry between the noise and the closeness of the tables. Just discovered this lovely place. Very pleased with the food and friendly service. Particularly pleased they have a baked German pancake on their menu! A very unique item that is hard to find! I ordered their apple version which was baked to perfection. Tasty apples and not overly sweet. Great latte too. Next time I'll add blueberries! The only advice I'd pass on is to try to bring the noise level down. Got quite loud. Wouldn't keep us from returning though! read more

This restaurant has a nice atmosphere, although the acoustics are not ideal. The wait for a table was reasonable and the service was very good. The brunch menu provides a variety of choices. I ordered the roast chicken plate. This was a mistake. I expected a juicy roasted chicken breast but received flat pieces of chicken with fake charred marks that looked like they were reheated from frozen. The mushy mashed potatoes appeared to be from a box. Thankfully the seasonal vegetables were excellent. So word of caution, if a restaurant specializes in breakfast and brunch it may be better to order one of those items. read more

This is a lovely place for brunch. The food was excellent, our waiter was efficient, and despite the crowd, we got seated right away. Our only complaint was that it was incredibly noisy inside. It was busy, and most tables were filled. We could hardly carry on a conversation due to the noise -- there is nothing to absorb sound. If there had been any available tables outside we would have moved. I hope this issue can be resolved because I would hesitate going back for that reason alone, unless I was picking up food to go. read more

We were in town visiting our son who is stationed at the nearby AFB. My husband found this place based on the reviews, so we figured we'd give it a shot. Honestly, at first, I felt like we just didn't fit in - we're on vacation, it's HOT (but not humid - lol, we're from FL) so shorts, tanks, etc. We were warmly welcomed and seated promptly. I have never had a Dutch Baby and let me tell you - I'd be afraid to order one anyone else as I'm sure I'd be disappointed after having one here!
