Hadn't been here for awhile since opening time. Bday man wanted the boba after Korean bbq dinner; therefore he decided to visit teaspoon. The place had become very popular especially among chabot college students and families. Lines could be long especially after classes and weekend. Never disappointed. Friendly counter person whom always smiled. I couldn't ask for the name and didn't notice the name tag. My family tried matcha, taro, and brown sugar. The wait time was not long. Matcha was good. I didn't get to try Taro and brown sugar. I also recalled that the Thai tea was good especially the hot hot summer day. They advertised new lemonade. I might have to pull up into the lot next time. Our drinks were DELISH! I usually don't go for fruity drinks but I highly recommend the strawberry piña colada and the mango fun time. Plenty of parking. Walked in and wasn't greeted. Stood by the register while 3 people ignored me until I politely asked if they accepted cash. It was only then that my existence was acknowledged. I been meaning to check out some food/drink spots specifically in Hayward and saw Teaspoon! Its one of my fav boba store, so I was happy there's a location near campus :) The parking area is pretty spacious with surrounding restaurants to eat. Inside of the store is pretty small but clean. I come to this Teaspoon pretty often whenever I'm around Hayward. The parking area is pretty good and I've had no problem. The place is quite small, but the workers are pretty fast when making drinks so people are in and out. There is a bench table outside so people can sit and wait for their drinks. Once you come in, you can either order from the kiosk tablet or with a worker. The drinks my friends and I love to get are the Strawberry Matcha Royale, Paradise Lime, Ladybug, and the Mango Funtime. The Mango Funtime is a hit, and tastes great! Reminds me of a mangonada, yum. Depending on who makes the drink, sometimes they can be a little heavy handed with the tajin and chamoy. If you love ube and need the caffeine, the dirty ube is a delicious drink as well. It gave me a great energy boost I needed when I was tired. You can create your own milk tea drinks too, and their I love their oolong. If I ever feel basic, I order the Creamy Jasmine with 75% sweetness. Overall, this place is a 5/5 for me. I've been here twice so far. My drinks were ready prior to the estimated time both times. It is a very small store right across from the new Denny's diner. When I visited yesterday, it was very packed, yet, they still managed to have my order ready by the time I checked in with one of the associates. I would suggest to enter the store and shimmy your way too the left side because they have a line designated to pick up orders. However, I did notice that I sometimes they don't bring them out to the table until you address one of the associates. I don't mind this practice because I've had my Starbucks drinks stolen when they just put out the to-go orders. I've tried a total of two different drinks and bought one for my son, all drinks were different. The first time I went I tried the black sugar Assam drink. The second time I tried the passion fruit drink with additional passion fruit dolphin boba. My son had a milk tea with added Oreo crumble. I think the cheapest drink I've seen is no less than five bucks and some change. You can easily make your drink more expensive by adding more toppings. This spot is dangerous for my wallet as it is only 5min away from home - also dangerous because their drinks are pricier to begin with! I like that their interior is bright, clean, and decorated during holidays! The staff are always friendly when I pop in to pick up my orders. Despite how great their business always is, I've always had my drinks ready for pickup by their quoted time; drinks are consistent in quality as well. I love that they're open (fairly) late and have a small parking lot that they share with other establishments. They do have 2 small tables outside for you to chill with your friends, but I wouldn't recommend doing so in the Fall/Winter. This was my first time trying Teaspoon and I had a great experience. I forgot to take a picture but I ordered a "Silky Mango". The drink itself was super delicious. A little too sweet for my taste but tolerable. The staff was very friendly :) I was able to place my order in person within 2 minutes of entering the place. About 5 people were waiting for their orders but they were very fast to take the orders and make the drinks. There is only one restroom and it was very clean. Parking is easy. How did I know find out that there's a Teaspoon in Hayward any sooner?! I love Teaspoon and have been to their San Jose and Davis locations. I got the Mango on Fire smoothie and the guava sunset for my boyfriend. I loved my smoothie and it's basically like a mangonada. Only thing that it's missing is a tamarind straw. This location sells an assortment macarons as well as some merchandise. Workers are friendly, and the location is right across from Chabot College. Excited to see a Teaspoon open up closer to me, we decided to take advantage of their BOGO Grand Opening special to try a bunch of drinks we haven't had before.  Silky mango, taro, pink panther and flamingo and we got to Enjoy Life One Teaspoon at a Time for two days. I liked the watermelon aspect of the flamingo but not a fan of passion fruit seeds so only had a sip of this one.  The pink panther is a better choice for me if I have a watermelon craving.  However, unintentionally my two picks were both creamy options, with the Silky Mango and Taro so more dessert-like than a thirst quencher which my go-to is always the Grasshopper. Since the Silky Mango is sweet enough, I would get it without the boba next time and the Taro was creamy enough to still be good the next day. This Teaspoon is in a small plaza with limited parking. I feel like recently there has been new employees and they are not as friendly as the ones from before. I usually just do a phone order for a quick in and out visit and they are usually pretty quick to get my order within 5-8 minutes usually. I usually get my usual, which is the Creamy Jasmine with boba. I feel like my drink is not always consistent when I come and it depends who makes my drink. Have I been to over 10 Teaspoons in the Bay Area? YES. Why? Because Teaspoon never disappoints me. It always gives me the best boba balls (perfect honey flavor, sweetness, and marshmallow-like bouncy texture) and the drinks are consistently bringing me the fresh tea flavors & lactose-free creaminess that I need from a boba drink. Been a fan of this location since their summer 2021 grand opening when I got my go-to drink, the Grasshopper (I recommend less sweet and adding their lychee jelly topping) and came back today for their seasonal Pumpkin King, the tea adjacent of a Pumpkin Spice Latte (Roasted Oolong tea with pumpkin spice cream topped with gingerbread-like Biscoff cookie pieces; I recommend less sweet, as it's still quite sweet). The only con I have with Teaspoon is that their prices keep going up but alas, this is the fate of all boba shops (it's $0.70 to add toppings now). Visited the newest location a week after their grand opening. I thought they'd be super busy so I ordered online via app for pick up. Notification said 20 min prep but my drinks were made in 4 minutes! Whoa, so fast! Lots of parking in the shared lot. Y'all, please be courteous to other drivers and do your part to share the road. Teaspoon has always been a family go to spot for boba and this location is extremely convenient. No more boba runs to Milpitas unless we order Layang Layang (amazing Malaysian cuisine! Ask for Jenny btw). I love watermelon and already tried the Flamingo (fresh watermelon & Passionfruit juices) and was excited for Pink Panther *blended watermelon slush with lemon yogurt mousse! 'Twas most refreshing with a creamy sweet n tart mix of flavors due to the vibrant mousse. No sugar adjustments on this one and no complaints because it wasn't that sweet, for which I'm thankful for. I'm a 0-25% sugar kind of person for boba, despite my love for sweets. Customer service was excellent! I think it was Noemi? that helped me out with the pick up order. Historically, they started up as a local boba café shop in Los Altos by Amy Lai and David Fan. They serve high quality tea and shaved snow products, as well as value a high standard of customer service - and further expanded across the South Bay and Peninsula regions! During the last couple of years, they had opened up the former lone location in the inner East Bay region in San Ramon, and finally, landed a convenient spot in Hayward, along the hustle & bustle of Hesperian Boulevard, and a stone's throw away from Chabot College. They are expanding all over Northern California, so it's good to know that they are a vibrant and thriving business that specializes in handcrafted beverages made with the highest quality products at reasonable prices that ya'll can easily afford! Great variety and nice menu. I recently ordered a Flamingo. this has passion fruit seeds at the bottom, and a bit of tartness and sweetness from the watermelon. A great contrast and great drink. I also tried the Pink Panther and was surprised by the lemon mousse contrasted by the watermelon juice. Again a tart and sweet combo. Which brings me to my third drink, which I have ordered in the past is the Lady bug, which is jade tea with passion fruit and kumquat juice. I guess I like the sweet and tart combos. If you want something creamy, try the Silky Mango. Richness of the crème and sweetness from the mango, a win win. Order was quick, they were working very fast to get drinks out, but well worth the wait. As a local, I'm very happy that Teaspoon opened up in the area! They have a good variety of drinks on their menu. At this location, I've tried the lady bug, taro lover, flamingo, pink panther, Assam black milk tea with boba, toffee black milk tea with brown sugar agar... and probably more, but now I'm getting embarrassed about how often I've come here since it opened lol. My favorites were the lady bug and flamingo. I personally prefer their fruit teas over the milk teas. Toffee black milk tea wasn't really my jam but it I wanted to get out of my comfort zone (and they had BOGO!). All in all, great addition to the neighborhood and it's the best boba spot in Hayward. Note that most drinks are at least 5.25 without toppings. Some of their fancy drinks are ~6 bucks. Toppings are an additional .70 cents (a few drinks include boba). Personally I think that's pricey compared to other spots that charge .50 cents for toppings, but I will say they have a huge variety of toppings to pick from. This place gets busy depending on the day and time. We usually call or order online and they always have it ready when we arrive. Private making lot shared with Dennys. They have outside tables as well. It's a small store where the register is right at the front door so I'm busy nights it can get super crowded when paper are ordering and waiting for their orders at the same time. The tea tasted pretty high quality and I would rate it higher than the regular quickly and T4 and a little higher than itea, but near or slightly below happy lemon depending on how many more. I got the Creamy Jasmine and my bf got the Liquid Gold both juicy, squeaking, farting, leaking, gucci with flavor. Cant wait to suck lick flick slurp tongue with all the toppings. We live teaspoon and get drinks here on a regular basis. The dirty ube is to die for! The strawberry colada is also very good during hot weather. There were a few times when my drinks had light ice or no ice even though i choose regular ice. To my fellow boba lovers, this is not another one of those disappointments. Teaspoon is a chain boba shop that was started in the Bay Area and is now found in twenty communities. Fun fact. Cashier was super friendly and upbeat, boba maker colleague super alert and actively listening as we were placing our order. Three drinks were out in five minutes tops. Boba was noticeably warm and fresh in contrast with the cold liquid. Ordered Liquid Gold, Mango Matcha Royale, and Mango Funtime. Liquid Gold was my fave out of the three--it's a honey oolong tea infused with cream. On their website, they indicate that they've partnered with a local tea roaster to roast the oolong leaves. Gotta love local b2b. I'd probably get the other two less sweet if I were to order 'em next time around. Looking forward to trying their Mango On Fire (has chamoy and tajin!!!), Taro Lover (with slow cooked taro), and their other offerings! Be sure to enter your phone number to accumulate points.
