Don't worry though, the line goes fast and the reward is delicious. The customer service here is amazing. They are so friendly and courteous. I was able to order two drinks for now and they set aside another to be made to go. We told him we would be about thirty minutes or so. He entered the order and we had our to go drink when we were ready to go. The Mocha Ice Cream Coffee with tapioca is simply to die for. They have a lot of different sinkers as well like mango pudding, egg pudding, basil seeds, all kinds of jelly, and of course your beloved boba. I really like their shaved ice called Milky Flurry, which I believe is a real contender to Snow Monster. Their shaved ice is so smooth and the texture is almost gelatinous due to the condensed milk. One of the better tap places in Austin, although a little far out from UT campus. I think it's worth the drive to come here rather than go to Coco's or Taphouse on the drag. They are a lot like the Tea House chain of stores, if you're familiar with them.. I like customizing my drinks so they are around 75% sweet, otherwise the full level of sweetness is a little much for me. I stick with the basic milk tea or green milk tea, and the tap is always on point (not too soggy, not too chewy.) The drink menu is very similar (if not the same) as Teahouse. I've always been a fan of the champagne grape cream blend at Teahouse so I decided to order it here also. Yup, tastes the same! My husband loves their cafe sua da here---strong! You can pretty much compare it to Lee's cafe sua da. We went here twice in the same weekend while in Austin. My second drink was the honeydew cream blend...kinda watery, but still good. Cream blends=smoothies for those that are not familiar. Service is iffy, but I'm here for their drinks! Perfect spot for your boba fix! I saw how popular this place was on Yelp and decided I needed to try it out for myself after visiting the Asian store. My mom has never tried bubble tea before so I thought it would be a great place to stop by! As others have mentioned, there are a bunch of board games if you decide to sit in for a while. There are a lot of regular cafe tables along with a few couches. There is such a wide variety of drinks. They have everything from iced drinks, slushies, coffees, and teas. There are even options to get some snow desserts (shaved snow). I tried the matcha cream green blasTea and the taro smoothie with boba. Taro is always one of my go to flavors for bubble tea so I would recommend that of course :) The matcha was so good too, I would definitely order it again! It's a seasonal drink made with 100% real, fresh watermelon (along with ice and cream--there's also the Watermelon Slushie, which doesn't have cream). -Boba Madness (a.k.a. Nearby is a starbucks, but this place has the vibe to where you want to hang out with friends and play their boardgames that they provide there. I think their bubble tea is good, but it's not the best I ever had. I do like that they had a great variety of flavors and fruits/jelly to pick from. The Buy 5, get one FREE card is always nice to have. They've tried to spruce up the place every now and then with a variety of different furniture or electronics. There used to be rows of ipads for anyone to use and there are still large TV screens for you to use your cell phone to link up to the apple TV. I drove here seeing all the great reviews of their bubble tea, and it was okay to say the least. I ordered the almond milk tea with baby tapioca, and it wasn't as strong of almond or tea flavor as I would prefer. They do have a enOrmous selection of milky way snow ice. Wish they had that many flavors back in Houston...maybe in time. I saw many people order the snOw ice, and the portions on them were good. Next time I would want to try the matcha snow ice with egg pudding, but as far as the drinks go maybe not. First impression is that it is very clean, and nicely decorated from the other shops I have been to. Very modern. Ordered the cream tea tapioca, aka as milk tea. Very yummy, has a good taste of real tea on it versus other places that has a more artificial taste to their milk tea. Only comes in one size but it is very decent amount for a drink unless you are thirsty. Ordered the snow as well, yummy dessert but for the price I'd expect more for it. I was surprsed at the reasonable prices for the drinks. Not being a big bubble tea drinker, I'm unfamiliar with a lot of the choices. They have a daunting volume of choices. We went on a Sunday afternoon, and the place was busy busy. No seats, and no real room to comfortably stand without having to move around constantly to let people pass through. They seemed a bit disorganized as our drinks came out later than people who had barely come in. We probably waited 15-20 minutes. They have huge screens behind the counter that run with ads for certain drinks but could be used to display their entire menu.
