Was excited to check this place out as the interior design is pretty cool...But beyond the cool staircase up to a lofted area, this place falls shorts in other areas. I came with a group of ten and they had a deal of buy 4 get one 1 so we of course took advantage of that. But we came late at night so I wanted to get a non-caffeinated drink. I choose the Kumon honey with boba. Wow what a mistake. It just tasted like artificially flavored juice. I ordered half sugar and it was still way, way too sweet. The honey boba we nice and chewy though. So maybe I just ordered the wrong drink... But another problem I have with the place is the loud and terrible music choice. The crap that they play is just dirty rap or hip hop. This is not family friendly whatsoever. Too loud to get any work done either. Very limited inside seating on the first floor. Then no individual seating in the lofted area. So if you come with a large group like we did, you better hope nobody else is in the lofted area. Prices are range from $4.95 to $6.75 without toppings. See pics. The size for the $4.95 is still pretty good but once your add toppings the price isn't very competitive anymore. And speaking of toppings, why they don't offer the usual grass jelly is beyond me... Parking is kinda of limited right outside the place. It is pretty much parallel parking. So if you need more parking you would park at the Giant next door. I'd be willing to give the place another shot if they change up the music. The menus are the same at each location and they have icons which distinct customer favorites as well as caffeine free options. Each drink can be customized by sweetness (25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150%) and ice (none, lil, regular, extra) levels. My two favorites are the sea salt jasmine tea and color switch lemonade. There's also a Buy 4 Get 1 Free special in case you want to bring some home to the family... or if you just really love their drinks and want to stock up. Probably my go-to bubble tea place now! Their milk teas are dairy free, which is great for some of us lactose-intolerant folks. They have a 26oz reusable bottle that you can bring with you to get your drink; this bottle is dishwasher safe. You also get a 5% discount every time you use this bottle to purchase your beverage. The bottle itself is a one-time price of just under $6, if I recall correctly. Worth it to save the world from plastic consumption by way of my boba habit lol. I would love to venture out to Teas'n You, but it's a little too far from where I live, and they also don't have lavender milk tea, which is now my top drink of choice. They have a lot of different drinks, including fruit teas, slushees, and milk teas. My favorites are the honeydew milk tea and lavender milk tea with the (honey) boba. Boba is only available at 11am and after. The store itself opens at 9am, so if you're there prior to 11, no boba for you! It says as such on their menu as well. My only two complaints are minor. First is that I wish their reusable bottle had a spot for the straw. You just have to hang onto the lid while it's off the bottle as you drink your beverage and not lose track of it. The second has to do specifically with the sea salt OG coffee drink--there's a ton of ice in it. When I inquired about the ice, they said it was on purpose to let the ice melt and dilute the drink a bit. I'm not sure why it can't come already "diluted" instead of me having to wait for my drink to melt..? There's a small lounge/study area upstairs accessible by stairs only. There's also a small bar and stools lining one of the big glass walls looking out to the street. Absolutely favorite boba place in the area and I have to go everytime I'm down in VA! Offers buy 4 get 1 so it's always good to go with friends to get the deal. Other than that, my staple is always the matcha green tea with sea salt foam. No where does the sea salt foam like they do, and when mixed in drinks, give you a sweet and salty after taste that I absolutely love. Service was great and fast, especially with online orders it is always speedy. In line with quality, I have to say that the Fairfax location has the best quality control because I have gotten the same drinks in all other teadm stores and the Fairfax location has always been consistent with the ratio of the drink and the ice levels. Now when I need a caffeine fix, I can access my go-to order: Sea Salt Coffee OG, on my way to virtually anywhere I need to be! Like all other locations, I love that you can order ahead online. Their sea salt coffees/teas are all delicious (sea salt jasmine is another fav of mine) and are my opinion, the holy grail here. You can also order ahead using Toast (10% off if you scan the QR code outside and order online). The drinks are not too sweet but adjust your sweetness depending on which toppings you add. A major pro is that they scoop a generous amount of toppings into the drinks. Both the milk tea and fruit tea drinks are refreshing and will satisfy your craving. Overall, this is my favorite boba place. I'm a bit of an addict and have spent the last few years trying to nail down the best place in my area, and I think this is it. Why--consistency. If you are a boba person then you know the texture of the boba is pretty much the thing that makes/breaks the experience. The boba here is on the soft chewy side, not bouncy/robust like Tea-Do or hot/super soft like Bubble Mochi. I like to savor my Boba over a period of hours, so the way TeaDM boba holds up over that time is the best. And it's always the same. Their killer offering is their Sea Salt Cream. I get the House Black Milk Tea w/sea salt cream and it's the perfect balance of flavors. I like my tea and coffee really dairy-heavy and this is just perfect. And none of this matters if they get your order wrong. TeaDM always gets it right. They have a ton of people working there, but if you're any kind of regular they will start to remember your order. They are professional, yet welcoming, and they never get the order wrong (unlike some other boba spots along Route 50...) What really sold me was when one of the tea tenders asked me "have you ever considered switching it up?" and gave me a recommendation based on what she knew I already liked. It was perfect and not something I would have found on my own, so I've added it to my rotation. So yeah, you owe it to yourself to try this place if you like boba. After every dinner I always save room for dessert and this fit the bill. Firstly, I love the location because it's right by giant so you can run errands and get some bubble tea for motivation. There's limited parking in the front and you do have to parallel park. I think there's more parking elsewhere, but it was night so I didn't have a chance to scope parking. So walking in, you feel as if you're in a night club based on the music, the volume, and the lighting. This could not be a fun place for those who are sensitive to noise and the changing color lights wall up in the loft. There's limited seating in the loft and downstairs; so I imagine on busy days you really have to get your drink to go. Now let's get to the goods. So I knew before walking in, I wanted a right now drink and a drink for tomorrow. I knew I would be cooped up the next day and needed to complete this task. The person on the register was really helpful and recommended me based on my drink choices which should be my today and tomorrow. I ended up getting the strawberry milk tea with strawberry jelly for the next day and the seasalt matcha green tea with aloe jelly for now. I have to say, the strawberry milk tea was my favorite. I have been here a few times but have not been successful in finding a drink that I like. Im not sure if it's the teas that they're using, or their mixing ration of milk to teas but it just does not taste right to me. Their tapioca pearls or boba are always small and hard, I have tried their coffee jelly and thats good though. Im not sure I would return here, as I've already tried it many times before. This one girl who takes our order every time seems like she has an issue with us for some reason and rolls her eyes when we're ready to place an order and tries to hide her attitude. Great customer service-so much better than Starbucks! They gave my one year old son a full cup of whole milk and declined to charge. We asked for a little of whole milk along with our milk tea order. One of the better places for boba in the area! My go to is the green Thai tea with creama and boba which is nice and creamy and sweet. They have small crushed ice unlike most boba places which to me is a small downside since sometimes I drink some of the ice but other friends love that. Boba is chewy and flavorful so no real complaints there. There is not much seating and you can order at two kiosks. Everything was brand new and even though there were a bunch of people (3 people in front of me), the orders were processed quickly and the staff were knowledgeable when I asked questions (e.g., the blue tea is truly naturally non-caffeinated rather than decaffeinated). There is a nice small indoor second floor seating area with donut chairs. The music is great. The kids loved the lighting and were dancing up a storm. We enjoyed the strawberry/mango smoothie and 25% sweetness and less ice, which was perfect for my toddlers who I didn't want to get too hyper before bedtime. I wish we could've ordered a smaller size but it looks like 24 oz is the only size. Price was a bit more than I expected, about $7 for a smoothie with boba. read more

Tea DM Vienna is my favorite boba in the area, so to say I was excited for Fairfax to get one would be an understatement! I would check on this one every single time I drove by. Once they hung up the color changing light up sign, I knew the time was near. I follow them on social media and saw an announcement of a soft opening, so I hit it up as soon as I could. I think my favorite thing about this particular location is their commitment to the theme. As soon as you walk in, you see color changing lights that hang above where you order. It sounds like the rocket league soundtrack is playing in there, which is probably my favorite thing about my husband's video game addiction, lol jk. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about the menu. I was surprised to see so many coffee drinks! The person who took my order and told me about all of the different options and what they meant. I decided to go with the OG salt coffee, which she explained was more of a sipping drink then one that you have in one sitting. Wow! It was delicious. My husband got the Thai green milk tea. What I liked about that one is that you can actually taste the tea. We sat at a table that looked like a pedal tavern!
