It contains Bananas, Pineapple, Coconut Flakes, and Nutella topped with Granola. A perfect snack for the summer. The bowl was quick, refreshing, and not too sweet. I've lived here in the district for over 3 years now. Been visiting this location pretty often. For a long while, this was a daily treat. The service has always been great. I started using the website to preorder. The staff are usually friendly and helpful. I like the music and friendly environment. The bowls are a delicious treat. For a while now, I've notice my bowl has changed. The crunchy granola topping is now on the bottom of my bowl. I've mentioned it a few times only for employees to say we've always done it this way!! I don't believe this is true. I've been a patron of this place for as long as I've lived in the mosaic district. My point is that if the granola goes on the bottom it may as well be mush because it won't stay crunchy. I was also told I can request it be on top when placing my order. I'd truly like to know which way is correct or is there no right way? Maybe I'm bad with change. I dunno, but I won't be going back. Additionally, I don't like how the app and the website differ. Love coming here for acai bowls. The price is my least favorite part however the portions make me feel better about it. My favorite thing is that you can order half of one bowl and of another so you can try other flavors and still get what you like. Then you can add your toppings. You can also choose a pre-selected bowl off their menu. That's what I did and tried the Cobo Berry bowl which is coconut topped with granola, blueberry, strawberry and honey. The coconut is frozen which gives it almost a frozen yogurt texture and went prefectly with the fruit and granola. The portion is a good size, but this place is expensive and expects the dreaded "voluntary" tip on top of that so definitely plan to spend $15 or more. Service was friendly and fast, the tropical themed place is pretty small inside and we ate at one of the tables outisde. I enjoyed it here and will come back. Personally, it seems like a warm weather destination so I'm not sure I'd want it in the winter but others might disagree. read more

This place is a 5 star, I'm only giving 4 because the cost will prevent me from going as often as I'd like. Big at home smoothie maker myself but I can't stop thinking about the Nutella acai bowl my friend got me from Playa. I went to this location after I got a facial because I wanted a snack that was fresh and not too heavy. They have banana bases, coconut bases, açaí bases, and another, as well as other food items. Came here after a Saturday morning bike ride on WOD. Got to try their power açaí bowl. There was a 10% off on Yelp. There was no line around 11:30. There was 5 people working when I came in and the guy on register was clearly new and did not fully know how to use the computer, he obviously needed help but yet didnt ask for help until he'd been searching the computer for like 5 minutes. Cannot believe it took 20 minutes for something that should take 5. The wait time was absolutely ridiculous considering there was 5 people working. After waiting 20 minutes for my bowl they forgot to put bananas on it and he had to take it back and put them on, and then when I went to eat it there was blueberries throughout the base, which it doesn't come with, and I get nauseous eating, so not sure how those got in there. I work in customer service so I can understand long wait times but this was worse than anything l've seen and the staff has terrible communication. We've tried their acai, pitaya, chia, and green bowls from their menu and have enjoyed each and every one that we've tried. My favorite is the Electric Mermaid (pitaya) and my husband likes the Power acai bowl. The ratio of toppings and bases are just right and it's more than enough to have as a meal. I've only ordered their bowls so I can't speak for their smoothies but I'm sure that they're just as equally delicious! I recently tried their cold brew latte (new orleans style)- I did not expect it to taste the way that it did. It was also more of a smoothie than it is a latte just for those wondering. P.S it contains banana and that threw me off. I don't think I really liked it that much. But, this place does literally have the best smoothie bowls. I ordered a banana protein acai bowl with vanilla instead of chocolate protein supplement. It hit the spot for ice cream I was craving but without as much guilt!
