I am excited that we have a great option for açaí bowls! I was finally able to try two bowls (aloha and warrior). The bowls are large in size so I would suggest the half size if you're not super hungry. I started off by scanning the menu before ordering and when trying to see the full description of the bowls, the app led me to ordering without showing the complete description. Not the end of the world, so just a note that you may have to inquire if you're unsure about what's all included in the bowl. The staff was super great and helpful in telling me what's actually fruit topping vs. what fruit was used in the base. For example, one of the bowls included bananas. I am not a fan of bananas as a fruit topping, but I learned that they were instead used in the base (which I was A-OK with)! After ordering, the bowls came out pretty, full, and quickly! They offer honey and chia seeds as an additional topping for free on the counter. The space was clean, bright, and large enough for the type of business. You can customize your toppings that includes: organic granola, blueberries, and bananas. Their granola is vegan and gluten free! This has been my lunch and dinner for the past 2 days . Sad i know but it's DELICIOUS! I love making my own bowl and also love the loaded PBJ. Got these uber eats in and they are always so yummy and fill me up through out the day. I bought a bowl for lunch and ate half for lunch half for dinner because the bowl was so full and they are super generous with their toppings as well. The acai loaded pbj was sweet but not too sweet and the green bowl have ginger in them. Personally, I would pick the loaded pbj bowl again over the green bowl only because I don't like ginger. you can add additional toppings for additional charge but in my opinion, no need because it's always filled to the top. I finally tried the new and LONG ANTICIPATED south block Chantilly!!! I had been keeping my eye on this build since the beginning!!! I'm a south block aficionado, if that wasn't obvious. I am SO sad that I was unable to make it to the soft opening last weekend!!! The inside is largely reminiscent of the one Loudoun location, kind of a "mini" southblock, if you will. Less seating and geared more towards a grab and go style. Still great vibes and fresh interiors with white clean subway tiles, palm tree wallpaper, and neon signs for the gram. Still a fridge full of fresh juices and boxed waters, but no coffee offerings. (on the coffee note, I'm still tremendously, bitter that soft block decided to discontinue their homemade cashew milk and instead rely on boxed almond milk) Given that I was trying a new location, I wanted to try a new bowl and divert from my otherwise tried and true favorite bowls (the golden bowl or the caveman bowl if you must know). I ended up ordering the new strawberry bowl which has guava blended in with strawberries, blueberries, bananas and granola on top. It was a perfect combination for a hot day. The bowl I thought was very well made. It was filled to the top of quality ingredients!!! Don't forget you can always get chia blended in FOR FREE, or top off with honey and chia for free :) My biggest complaint, and why this review doesn't have five stars, is because the weight was long and seemed unnecessary. Upon walking in, I saw many people sitting on the side and looking frustrated waiting for orders to be brought up to speed. It seems as if the kitchen was too small and simply not enough people/blenders to crank out orders. I understand that they just opened last weekend and may still be figuring out the well oiled machine to run smoothly in Chantilly, but I would be remiss if I didn't mention this. As of now, this location is far from a quick grab and go. The lady who rang me up was really nice and gave me a little introduction assuming that I had never been to a South block before and extremely helpful and helping me decide what I wanted to try. She informed me of the try it and if you don't like it they will remake a bowl for you for free deal! That's one way to build a client base!! Came in store and it wasn't too busy the second day of opening...order took about 15 minutes. I do recommend ordering through the app so you don't sit around and wait. Staff was friendly and plenty of people working on orders so it didn't take too long. Few seating options inside, clean, and aesthetic w nice wall murals. My go to is the Cali vibe bowl and the super green smoothie. One of my favorite açaí spots... the order is always consistent.. especially the acai bowl base. I've been to others where the base consistency is always different or tastes different from previous orders. SB always tastes the best and fresh toppings.
