Inside is aesthetic, clean, and welcoming and I noticed it was just one employee working as far as I could tell but our drinks still came out in a timely manner. I ordered: - Rice mochi taro milk tea (I haven't found many other places that make this drink the same way) but today the ratio of rice mochi to taro was slightly off for me. I recently had Tea Hut for the first time and overall, I thought the drinks were tasty. I ordered the Cheesy Pink Lychee and the husband got the Emerald Green. I always love the strawberry energy slush at TeaHut, the tea flavors comes through and it's refreshing. Trying some seasonal items on this visit. Service is fine, mostly I interface with the order kiosk. I did witness an irate customer yell at their staff over a $0.75 misunderstanding and the team handled the customer politely and reasonably even though the customer was extremely rude and aggressive so kudos to the team! I was such a fan of this Tea Hut just last year and the year before and raved about how this was one of those rare boba shops that actually brewed fresh tea that you could taste... Unfortunately, I found this to not be the case after trying Tea Hut again twice this summer. Initially, I wanted to chalk it up to new bobaristas and staff trainees, but the second time I went this summer was the nail in the coffin. This shop has not been particularly busy any of the times I've visited, so it's not a quality issue due to time constraints and high order volume... I think literally the franchise owner is just cutting down on costs at the expense of the drinks losing their quality and freshness. Instead of remaking my drink...and don't you lie because you should watch the video. You just scooped out the boba with a spoon and you didn't even get it all. Then you strained some, but didn't bother to put more liquid in to compensate for the boba you took out. YOU WERE LAZY!!! Super cute shop with marbled countertops! Tons of natural lights and multiple tables, and we were impressed with how clean the shop was. Drinks here are actually pricey even for the most basic ones. We also had to wait ~20mins even though there were only 4 orders ahead of us and there were 3-4 employees working. I got oolong MT with mochi balls and although the mochis were amazing, my drink was already spoiled by the next day which was unusual because I usually take ~2 days to finish my drinks with no issues. Drinks here are really tasty with some pretty unique options! Got a latte with Oreo topping add on for the coffee drinker, and the Cheese pinky lychee with crystal boba. It had a really good flavor, and I feel like I tasted tea as well which was a pleasant surprise in terms of taste but maybe worth checking if you were avoiding caffeine. Sweet level was good. I went on Yelp looking to see the operating hours of the boba shops nearby. I ordered the hot ginger black milk tea($6.75) 16oz, a mango coconut pudding ($9.95), taro coconut pudding ($9.95) and the regular coconut pudding ($7.75). The hot ginger black milk tea comes in 2 sizes the 16oz and the 24oz. I opted for the smaller size because I was worried I wasn't going to like it. Well I was wrong, because I LOVED it. The 24oz one was ($7.50) so only $0.75 more than the smaller size. I had some regret not getting the bigger size but I'm glad I tried it and now know I should opt for the bigger size. The hot ginger black milk tea comes with these small taro like tapioca balls inside. It reminds me of those hot asian desserts the my mom would make for me. I opted for a little less sweet than what is recommended and felt like it was perfect. You could really taste the ginger and it provided a very cosy feeling. My friend and I really enjoyed the taro coconut pudding. It was definitely something different as we have had the plain coconut pudding before. The taro wasn't very sweet at all, it was very smooth and kind of reminds me of marshmallow fluff but taro flavor. You can also tell the taro is fresh because of the texture as well. Parking was fairly okay. I went about an hour before closing so it wasn't too bad. Though there are a lot of restaurants around this location so I could see getting parking a bit difficult during the day when everyone is out getting dim sum. Overall, I really enjoyed my drink and the coconut puddings and would definitely come back again. The drink was a tad more expensive than other milk tea shops I've been too, but the coconut puddings were about the same. Because of the uniqueness of the drink I grabbed, I'd return for that specific one. It is definitely a treat. You can opt to order online for store pickup if you're worried they might run out of certain coconut puddings (because they definitely will). I ordered a passion fruit green tea with added regular boba and less sugar and less ice, nothing extremely fancy. I really liked the boba here, good chew, not mushy at all. The tea tasted like real tea and the slices of lime in my drink added a nice tartness. I finally got to try Tea Hut for the first time despite me working in Millbrae currently and this spot being opened since the end of 2022. It's definitely in a more low key location in Millbrae. The interior is very clean and simple. They only have one kiosk for ordering, but it wasn't busy when I went luckily. Not much to say for service because of no contact ordering and you just get your drink placed on the counter for you and have your name called. For the drinks I wanted to try a specialty drink. Mango Dreamer ($7). It's essentially just a mango slush that is blended with ice and an unidentified tea. It was pretty tasty though and you can tell they don't use powder at all which is a plus. You can actually taste the tea flavor too which I also liked. The prices are up there, but thats standard for boba shops nowadays. I think Tea Hut is a solid spot especially to hang out in. Our two drinks came out in about 5 minutes. I really enjoyed my Coco Berry, but I wish the grapefruit chunks were tinier. I usually get the soy milk tea with the dango on top of the cup but this location didn't have it I opted to get the four seasons milk tea with 50% sweetness and it wasn't sweet enough so I ended up asking the cashier if I can add more sweetener. She was super sweet to add more sweetener in it for me so I appreciate the service! My friend got the strawberry milk tea with honey boba and absolutely liked her drink a bit more once we added more sweetener.
