A antique looking coffee shop in Milbrae . It has big bright windows . Table and chairs and electric outlets for lap tops or phones . Menu is quite interesting. We try their specialty espresso: black latte . It is a good size of coffee , the black and white pattern is very pretty . Tastes great. It has some light charcoal flavor with a tiny bit of sugar cane flavor. Very good coffee . Love the black and white tile patterns on the floor . It is enjoyable and peaceful place to rest and work on your lap top .
Coffee was average. Very generous amount of caffeine. Price was honestly not worth it compared to other higher end coffee shops in the area. Got the brown sugar latte and it was masked by the brown sugar taste. If I were to come back, I would try something different. I will say vibes were amazing and shop was cute. I would give it another try, Server was nice!
Milli Cafe is located in downtown Millbrae so parking can be a little tricky since it's located in a busy area, but I was able to find a spot nearby without too much trouble. The cafe itself is very aesthetic with plenty of natural light that makes the space feel bright and comfy. There was also plenty of seating available when I visited, which made it a nice place to relax and enjoy my coffee. I ordered an iced latte, and the coffee was smooth, well balanced, and beans were decent quality. Overall, Milli Cafe has a great atmosphere and serves quality coffee. I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in the area.
I was on a mission to find a coffee shop where I can go offline for some time. It was on a rainy day, I definitely did not want to head to the city. I wanted to find a new spot, to give other businesses some love. Ended up at the end of busy downtown Millbrae at a corner with Milli Cafe. It's pretty spacious inside with some communal and individual tables, some bar seats along the windows as well. Granted that day was pouring, I would expect more people on a weekend if the weather was better. I didn't look at their pastry selection, maybe for next time. I ended up getting their rose latte, was debating between that and charcoal latte, but I didn't need a black colored coffee to match that weather. Happy with my choice though, the coffee was smooth, the rose flavors were not overpowering. The presentation was cute, with the crushed petals added on. Service is a bit on the slower end, there were about 3 workers, less than a handful of customers throughout my time there. One group of customers left and their tables were full of crumbs, it did take a while for the staff to clean up. I do hope service speeds up a bit if there is a larger influx of customers.

Unfortunately, both baristas seemed to ignore us at the counter and ended up taking the order of someone who arrived a few minutes later, apparently because they were known to them. That part was a bit disappointing and set the wrong first impression. As for the coffee, it was decent taste and it felt slightly overpriced given the portion size. That said, the ambience is definitely a strong point. The space is comfortable, calm, and well-suited for spending time, especially if you want to sit down with a laptop and get some work done. Despite the service hiccup, I'd still consider coming back mainly for the atmosphere rather than the coffee itself.
Stopped by here ahead of going to the SFO airport. The coconut latte is delicious and really flavorful as a hot latte. The space is bright with natural lighting and the illuminated boards really adds to the space. If I lived around here, I would definitely be here all the time! There's a bathroom, WiFi and there's 1 hour and 2 hour parking right outside.
Great looking interior with a simple menu of espresso and matcha drinks. During busy periods like weekend mornings, be prepared to wait 5-10 mins in line and then 15 mins for your order. If you are in a hurry, you should go elsewhere. Two people working on a busy morning. Enjoyed my matcha latte though a bit over powered by the milk and less of the matcha taste. Not sure what type of matcha they use or if enough was used. Note they do charge $1 for any of the alternative milks like soy, oat or almond. Bakery items are made in house according to them. Limited seating with a counter at the open window and a few small tables inside.

For just a regular matcha, it had a strong flavor and wasn't too sweet. Service was nice and the drinks came out pretty fast.
Milli Cafe is a clean and modern cafe, fairly poppin' in the mornings with people catching up over breakfast. I stopped by while waiting for some friends at SFO, craving a matcha latte but not expecting much. While this isn't exactly an authentic, hand-whisked matcha, it was okay. It was an iced sweet drink that did its job. Overall though? the service was sweet and the space was clean.

My friend recently told me this is the sister shop to my go-to coffee spot in my neighborhood, Spruce Cafe in South San Francisco. It's my first time here but the staff and flavors feel familiar. My barista, Amy, works at both Millie and Spruce Cafe. She is very meticulous with her latte art and always creates the cutest designs for customers. One of the main reasons I enjoy going to Spruce Cafe is because of the latte art the staff create. Millie has large windows, making the space bright and airy. The drinks are similar to those at Spruce Cafe. There is plenty of street parking available outside, so parking is easy.

I specifically drove about 40 minutes to Milli Cafe because I saw the passionfruit matcha on their summer menu, and as a huge passionfruit and matcha fan, I was really excited to try it! The cafe itself is very modern, aesthetic, and clean. They also have several unique coffee and latte flavors that sounded interesting. We ordered the passionfruit matcha spritz and the passionfruit matcha with oat milk. The total came out to around $17, which unfortunately didn't feel worth it given the small cup sizes and the quality/flavor of the matcha. // Passionfruit Matcha Spritz This is essentially passionfruit syrup, matcha, and sparkling water. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about sparkling matcha, but I wanted to give it a try! Unfortunately, the passionfruit flavor was very subtle, and the carbonation somehow made the bitter, grassy notes of the matcha even more noticeable. The flavors just didn't balance well for me. Passionfruit Matcha + Oat Milk: I preferred this one over the spritz, but it was still disappointing. The oat milk mellowed out the matcha, but I think it also overpowered the passionfruit because I could barely taste it. I was hoping for a much brighter, tangier passionfruit flavor to complement the matcha. Overall, I think the passionfruit-to-matcha balance could use some tweaking, especially since passionfruit is such a bold flavor and could pair really nicely with a smoother, higher-quality matcha. At this price point, I'd personally rather go to a specialty matcha cafe. I may come back to try one of their coffees or flavored lattes since those seem to get better reviews and the menu has some creative options, but I'd skip the matcha next time. read more

Cute modern cafe on broadway street. Definitely one of the rare cafes in this area. Limited seating inside but very spacious. We tried the mocha and matcha latte and both drinks were okay. Not super strong flavors and a little watered down but it will do if you just want a drink while studying or chatting. read more

Fun to see a new cafe open amongst all the boba and chain coffee shops around the area. The inside of the store is nice and spacious with a modern feel. Their menu offers a lot of different coffee, espresso, and matcha options. I went with an iced, decaf Havana latte with regular milk. My order was done in a few minutes and even though it didn't look super promising, it was good. It was not that sweet and probably could've used more condensed milk since I couldn't taste it at all. Cute new coffee shop in Millbrea. The lines aren't long so it doesn't take long to order. All hot drinks have latte art which is cute and it looks like their main supplier is ritual based on the coffee bags available for purchase. I like the seating, natural light, and design of the space. Only draw back to the space (not fault of the shops) is that customer noise carries. There was one table that was talking at a much higher pitch and I could hear their entire conversation at the other end of the store. Ordered the matcha latte to-go. It has a nice flavor, but is on the grassery side. My spouse got the rose latte and said it was one of the best he's had, so maybe go for the coffee and purchase the tea if you're a non-coffee drinker like me. read more
Stopped by early Monday morning after flying into SFO. Located on a corner, Milli Cafe was bright and welcoming. We found parking easily. I ordered an almond milk flat white. They brew ritual coffee which was nice, and coffee was good. I was disappointed that this shop uses Torani syrups so I was turned off from a "flavored" drink. My coffee was also served in a Spruce cup so I assume this shop is connected to Spruce Cafe in SSF which is also decent. All in all, nice quick coffee shop in San Bruno which is needed. I hope they can upgrade their syrup game tho! Service was friendly! read more

New cafe in downtown Millbrae with window seating that opens out to the street which is super cute. Got an iced matcha latte w soymilk which was a bit small but had really good quality matcha to me. Nondairy milks are + $1 They forgot my drink but were quick to fix when we checked in Is a good edition to the area to hang albeit slightly pricey! read more

Cute cafe in Millbrae. The interior design is primarily white and very clean. A good variety of coffee and matcha drinks. Ordered the Havana Coffee today which is a Latte with some condensed milk. The coffee is very smooth and the condensed milk was very mild and hardly noticeable. I would have preferred a tad sweeter and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top would have elevated the drink even more. Tasted almost like just a regular Latte. A point off for their service. Waited a long time for my drink as the barista was spending time either chatting or training another person on how to make drinks. I was literally the only customer at that time ordering. It took so long even my family waiting outside came in to see what was going on. Completely ignored me as I didn't exist. I finally had to ask about my drink before they started to make it and they didn't even apologize for the delay. Wow! With so many cafes around, I don't think I will be coming back here for a place that doesn't want my business. read more

Found this place on Yelp while looking for a new cafe to check out. The space has a really clean and simple vibe with natural light from the big windows. There's seating along the wall, which makes it feel open and spacious. I also saw that the matcha coconut latte is a favorite here, so I was looking forward to trying it. Ordered a matcha coconut latte and the matcha flavor was basically nonexistent, though I did get hints of coconut. It felt like it was watered down. This drink is also not sweetened nor do they give the option to add sweetener. Not pictured was their fresh baked snickerdoodle cookies, which was the highlight of my experience. Baristas were friendly and the wait was not too bad considering there was bit of a line. I would come back to try their matchaffogato or brown sugar latte, but I would not recommend this drink. read more
Millbrae has been lacking a solid coffee shop for awhile so when Milli opened up it was a welcome addition to the downtown. Decided to stop in on a rainy morning and order a dirty chai and a matcha latte. The dirty chai was excellent but the matcha fell flat. The outside and inside were really nice I'm a sucker for tile but it wasn't a space I would want to spend a long time in. I would recommend coming here for coffee/espresso drinks just skip the matcha. read more
Stumbled on this place walking through the Millbrae Art & Wine Festival. It was busy, as expected. The employees seemed very nice. We ordered a Matcha Coconut Latte. You can definitely taste the matcha. I didn't notice much coconut flavor though. And keep in mind that this drink (as well as others, I'm sure) is not sweetened. It really would be nice to have that mentioned somewhere on the menu, so customers know what to expect. read more
Walking through Millbrae, I noticed Milli Cafe, a new addition to the neighborhood, and decided to stop in for a quick drink on a warm day. Their menu offers a nice variety of beverages, and I went with an iced matcha latte. I appreciated that the staff prepared it traditionally, whisking the matcha powder with a Japanese whisk before pouring it over whole milk. After giving it a stir, I took my first sip -- and unfortunately, the flavor fell flat. The matcha was very light, almost overpowered by the milk, which was disappointing given the $6.50 price tag for such a small cup. To be fair, I prefer a bolder matcha taste (at home I make mine with Ippodo matcha from Kyoto), and I find places like Maruwu Seicha and Wanpo Tea deliver a stronger, more satisfying matcha with larger portions at a similar price point. That said, if you enjoy lighter, milk-forward matcha drinks, this could be the spot for you. On the plus side, the cafe itself is clean and chic, with plenty of seating for relaxing or catching up with friends. My only small gripe is the trash bin placement -- there was just one, tucked behind the line instead of near the exit, which felt a bit inconvenient. Overall: A nice space, but for me, the matcha was just okay. read more

Stoped by today for some coffee and matcha. Cute little cafe with a decent amount of seating. There's a counter against some open windows and the place itself is very aesthetically pleasing. I ordered a matcha latte and it didn't taste like matcha. AT ALL. Husband ordered a coconut latte and it didn't taste like coconut. AT ALL. No exaggeration here, my drink tasted like milk and espresso grounds. $7.50 matcha latte and it was so disappointing. Only reason I left an extra star was for the super friendly baristas. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend or come back. So sad because our drinks looked amazing and this place is so highly rated. read more

I needed to go to Millbrae for an errand, and I happened to park right in front of Milli Café. I stopped in for an afternoon pickup and immediately noticed how clean and modern this place was. I opted for a seasonal banana matcha latte with oat milk. I was surprised to see the barista take her time with my latte art and created a really cute bear. The drink itself was delicious. It had a slight bitterness from the matcha with a hint of banana flavor that was sweet but not overly so. It was perfectly balanced! The other beverage offerings and pastries sounded good too! I'll have to stop by Milli Café again the next time I find myself in Millbrae. read more

Beautiful, spacious cafe in downtown Millbrae. The kind of space you see in movies and tvs where the meet cute happens! Kudos to whoever designed the space, well done! They even offer cute little square black cushions to sit on the concrete bench outside! Love the attention to detail - down to the mosaic M entryway. This cafe serves Ritual coffee, matcha and in store baked goods, which looked sumptuous. The barista was very welcoming. I'm always wary of getting matcha drinks at non-matcha specialty shops because the quality and flavors usually don't hit the spot for me. The matcha powder sitting in the open jar on the counter also looked a bit oxidized to me so I didn't have high expectations. I decided to hedge my bets and get the matchaaffragoto, which was 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream plus a shot of matcha. I mean, it's mostly ice cream so I won't be too disappointed if I don't love it. It was ok; the ice cream had some ice chunks in it and the matcha tasted bitter/unbalanced. If you aren't already judging this matcha-snobby review, I will self-admit to being a hardcore matcha freak :p frankly, I'm not sure matcha latte customers would notice the taste quality difference but personally, I wouldn't get the plain matcha here until they offer higher quality matcha for the purists or options to distract from the bitter matcha base like offering strawberry matcha latte, blueberry matcha latte, etc to mask the matcha quality. This is a great space though and hopefully it does well! The matcha isn't for me but I'll try other items in the future. The baked goods looked like they were baked in house and will have a future home in my tummy. I'll be coffee friends to try this beautiful establishment and I'll try the iced oolong tea next time. read more

Cute relatively new cafe located in downtown millbrae. It was super busy on a Sunday morning with only two employees. I think they would benefit from being staffed more. Wait time was about 10-15mins for 2 drinks and 2 pastries. The person working the cash register was not friendly at all. Drinks were good and the person who made the drinks was very nice even though she seemed so busy. Aside from the pretty latte art, nothing about this place was memorable so not sure if I would return. read more
