I got the craving for baked goods. Paris Baguette is a great place to go for sweet treats. I ordered drip coffee, and new selection. French apple tart. It was delicious. Still warm and freshly baked. Glossy, pretty, buttery, filling, and tasty. I received terrific customer service from Jonathan. He greeted me pleasantly, offering good vibes. This location is a lot of people's favorite. There is plenty of indoor seating. It's a swell spot to people watch. read more

I always enjoy the ambiance at Paris Baguette. The cafés are open, spacious, and have plenty of seating, along with a huge selection of food and drinks to choose from. They definitely earn five stars for the atmosphere. The food is ok, although I personally prefer more traditional European-style pastries. That said, I still love visiting their cafés. I just wish they had a location in a more residential neighborhood in San Francisco. The Market Street location isn't somewhere I'd want to spend time or hang out. read more

The weather was just perfect today -- grocery shopping on Broadway; passed this baker and thought a nice French pastry and latte would make the day perfect! Walked inside and browsed through the pastry selections and thought... wow, beautiful, many choices, and every pastry looked delicious. I decided on the almond croissant; walked over to the cashier to pay - she was unfriendly; ordered a whole milk latte. I wasn't sure if she heard me, so I said again, but loudly, whole milk. She never look up and proceed to wipe the crumbs off the counter right in front of me. Everything went downhill from there, the guy made the latte with oat milk, tho he offered to remake, but I felt he wasn't happy about remaking - Instead, I took the latte with the oat milk (w/a scowl on my forehead) and asked for sweet options as the sugars were behind the counter - such a nose bleed just to get a pack of sugar sub. Ugh. None were acceptable, no monk option - can you believe paying almost $7 for a latte and they have nasty sugar alternatives). Needless to say, I skedaddled outta there, mad and disappointed - got into my car, and bit into the croissant, was hard and dried. All in all, a bad $15 experience, and will never go back. (Did I mentioned, their trays did not have liners, so I had to keep my croissant dangling over the dirty tray when walking over to pay. Ridiculous! All in all a $14+ mistake day. No wondered some of their locations including this one is "hit and miss (3 stars)"... read more

This location was just okay. It did not feel warm or welcoming. There is something to be said about buying pastries in the afternoon. They've been sitting all day. They have a weekday special of getting one pastry per day for $2 between the hours of 3 and 6pm. This is a good way to sell off your excess items. I grabbed a coffee and a pastry. My coffee was good. Unfortunately, the pastry tasted oily and dry :( It is probably best to stick to purchasing pastries in the morning, perhaps you'll get a greeting and a tastier pastry. read more

There's a lot of yummy items, and usually this location is reliable, but there's been a few times where things weren't great. Also, most of the time, the service is just service, no smiles and nothing special or friendly about it. The fruits lack freshness. Recently we bought a cake and it was covered in moldy raspberries. Would have been great if they caught this when they boxed it up. They were pretty moldy, so it makes me wonder how good their refrigeration and handling practices are. They have a bunch of cream filled pastries on display at room temperature, which also seems sketchy. One time I bought a cream filled croissant in the afternoon and it tasted spoiled and had to be thrown out. read more

I needed a last-minute cake for a holiday dinner I was attending with my husband, and I remembered ordering a birthday cake for my grandson from Paris Baguette before. I wasn't expecting such a big reaction to the cake--I thought people would just comment on the decorations, which were beautiful. I ordered online, picked it up with no issues, and placed it on the dessert table. Everyone loved how it looked, but once the cake was cut and served, the compliments were all about how delicious it was. I'm not usually a cake person, but after trying a slice, I was pleasantly surprised. The frosting was light and not overly heavy like many bakery cakes. It was absolutely delicious, and I will definitely be ordering from here again read more

I loved the cafe! it reminds me of the Paris baguettes back in Korea, and all of the waiters remember my face, and talk to me. Plus, the pastries and the cakes are all so good! The ambiance is very pretty. but once, I went there, I had to desperately charge my device so I could call my mom (I was eleven) and all of the seats with chargers were taken. I had to go back to the library and ask for there portable chargers. But otherwise, I love the free water as well! :) read more

I love Paris Baguette and go to any Paris Baguette that I see. There coffee is so good. I like their black coffee coffees and I like their caramel lattes and their caramel macchiato. I was so happy because this location has the milk bread that is soaked in condensed milk because my location doesn't carry it anymore. The lady who has the barista is so sweet. I really like her and there's a guy that works there also that's really nice. The ambience of this location is always happy. It's generally filled at every table. read more

I've only been to Paris baguettes inside groceries store so I was pleasantly surprised how big this bakery was. It had a lot tables for you to enjoy your coffee and pastry. It's a self serve so grab a tray and tongs and try not to grab every single thing because it all looks so good. My favorite is the fruit pastry. It's light and slightly sweet with the cream. Back when Paris Baguette first started to sprout up in the Bay Area, I was super stoked to check them out. Sure, a lot of that had to do with the hype and the anticipation of trying them, but just about all of their confections and baked goods looked pretty legit. Now that they've been around for so long, though, I have to admit they've lost some of their allure. However, after hearing that they had a summer menu of lemon-inspired treats that was set to end, we made it a point to come here to catch it before it was gone. Honestly, if there was one sure fire way to get me excited for desserts, it would be of the lemon variety! Compared to the first Paris Baguette II ever visited (the now-shuttered location in Palo Alto), this one looks far more subdued (not in a bad way). Instead of the same sort of bright and chic decor, the look of this place is more contemporary and certainly a better fit for the neighborhood. What's more, I like how there's a good amount of seating inside and how they can create an "outdoor" area by opening up the front windows. As for their offerings, they have a wealth of European pastries (croissants, pain au chocolate, Danishes, quiche, pizzetas, etc.), donuts, breads, buns, rolls, and baguettes, just to name a bunch, as well as a slate of cakes and tarts. However, like most other Asian-owned bakeries (they started in South Korea), everything is lighter and less sweet (for the most part). -- BERRY TART I had high hopes for this one, as it looked great in the display case, and it didn't disappoint! Not only were the berries all very fresh, but the custard filling had a really nice flavor to it. My only (mild) complaint is that the crust felt a little dry. -- LEMON CITRUS LAYER CAKE I was hoping to see something more like a lemon bar or a lemon meringue, but, thankfully, this ended up being pretty decent! The layers of cake were moist and I liked how lemony everything was, even if it was a bit tart (I was okay with it). -- MATCHA MOCHI DONUT In terms of flavor, this wasn't too shabby. The icing, while sweet, wasn't overly sweet, and the matcha powder reinforced the flavor well. The donut could've used more mochi flour to get a better chew, but my bigger issue was with how it already tasted stale so early in the morning. -- COFFEE CROISSANT DONUT Honestly, I absolutely regret getting this. While the donut itself was fine, it was hard to enjoy it because of the icing and filling. Not only were they insanely sugary together, but the icing was a runny, melted mess. After just a bite or two each, we threw the rest away. Hard pass. -- CROISSANT DONUT By comparison, this was way more successful. The butter layers of croissant were great and we really liked the tinge of lemon icing on it. I imagine this was probably sugary as well, but ironically, because we had it after the coffee one, it wasn't nearly as noticeable. -- LEMON CUSTARD KING CREAM DONUT We opted to give this a shot after trying the Lemon Citrus cake, but I didn't find it to be quite as successful. For me, I thought the drizzle of white chocolate added to the lemon icing, but the lemon in the custard wasn't that strong. Still, it wasn't bad by any means. Despite how it's located right on Broadway in Millbrae, coming here is actually ridiculously convenient. Between the huge parking lots behind the building as well as the one across the street, there's no shortage of spaces. That being said, I've always been wary of what I buy here because of how I would often see flies circle around and land on the food. It helps that they now prepackage some of their buns and have their trays placed inside plastic cabinets (it never made sense how they used to sit out in the open), but it was a persistent issue, and those doors get left open, so who knows if it's fully resolved. Considering how how consistent and familiar they are, as well as how good their pastries and confections look, Paris Baguette still has some level of appeal even though they've lost some of that "new toy" shine. Of course, the food isn't bad either, though there are better places out there. However, for something relatively cheap and convenient, the options aren't bad, particularly their cakes and desserts. Don't worry, they should be safe from the flies, too, since they're in the refrigerated display cases. read more

Overall 3.5 Stars 4 Stars - Ambiance - 1st time visiting this franchise so I didn't know what to expect. The place is spacious, great lighting and clean. There is spacious seating for a couple or a large group. The items are displayed in a clear box case and you grab a tray, paper and tongs and you select the type of breakfast items you want. 4 Stars - Staff The people were friendly and efficient. You're able to observe the bakers making fresh pastries through a window while you wait to pay for your food and drinks. 3.5 - Food I came in at opening time at 7 and the selection wasn't full. Though there were many items available, the items I wanted were not. So I opted for the following: 4 Stars - Sweet - Blueberry Cream Cheese. The pastry was delightful but the blueberry jam was mild in flavor. 3.25 - Savory - Ham and Cheese Croissant - the croissant was light and fluffy. Had a wonderful flaky, buttery crust. But was lacking in the meat dept. It has a single thin slice of ham in the middle. When you bite or tear the croissant, you get a lot of air in the middle section, then you taste the ham. Bummer - cuz it has so much potential to be better. If it is a single slice, make it a thicker slice. With that said, the cheese was layered inside and outside of the pastry. 3 stars - Espresso- to wash it down. The espresso temperature was more luke warm than hot. Disappointed. Updated: As I am reviewing the bakery, wait until 7:45 to have a better pastry selection. read more

I tried a variety of pastries from this place to share and was pleasantly surprised. Most of the items had signs saying what they were, although one powdery donut did not, and we were curious if it had any filling. Line was handled very efficiently and fast. Paris Baguette is your go-to for standard cakes and sweet or savory pastries. Over the years, they've offered trendier pastries such as cronuts and supreme croissants (croissant wheels). There's a good variety, even closer to the evening. However, I wouldn't go here expecting highest quality. The pastries are just ok, and most feel a little on the greasier/oily side. It's not worth it if it's out of your way, but they're affordable enough for a quick snack fix. read more

I like this place. They have a huge selection of stuff and it a pleasant environment inside. But then again, I'm a sucker for pastries and baked goods. And on that note... Paris Baguette is growing on me. A little. Since I don't often eat pastries and sweets I come here for the coffee and a reasonably quiet and clean place to sit. The coffee has improved service is good and the noise level is acceptable. Is it just me or is the music volume at the big chain shop now intolerable? I digress.... Have a sampled the pastries? Yes. The way they are displayed leaves a bit to the imagination but they are okay, only okay. Other details-the furniture is pretty beat up. And the bathroom last time I used it was quite beaten too. I would like to think that improving in these aspects would not be too difficult. This location and the outdoorish veranda is really great. read more

Love the food but the service is horrible. For a high-end bakery, they should really train the employees better. I went into the store, grabbed a couple pastries, walked up to the counter (no line), one girl was making drinks and another lady was just walking back and forth. Nobody greeted me when I walked in, nobody said anything to me when I walked up to the counter, and I waited there in silence for 4 minutes until the girl was done making drinks. She could've at minimum said hello and to give her a minute, so simple. Then right after I purchased my order, I sat down for 5 minutes and a huge line formed and it took a customer to ask for another person to help check people out for them to get someone else. Also, I ordered a cake on DoorDash, they should add a section for custom writings. I had to call in to ask them to add Happy Birthday. meh not impressed its ok not worth the money I think. The fruit was better than the cake.

I ordered the iced chocolate hazelnut nuttela latte and it's one of the worst drinks I've ever had. It was $7.50 for the smallest size which is not cheap for an iced latte, especially not from a chain bakery. You could not taste any Nutella or coffee, it literally just tasted like chalky milk in a cup with whip cream. I can't tell if it was the barista who didn't make the drink correctly or if it's supposed to taste like nothing. Also, the pastries are all fully exposed at this location with no plastic door or covering to protect it from the dirty air or to keep them fresh. After going to the gym, there's times where I just want a quick snack and Paris Baguette is good with their mini hot dog pastries, that I just can't seem to get enough of! As someone who prefers savory or sweet, it's really nice to have those type of options. Of all that pastries, the smoked sausage bread has to be a the top of the list. Followed by the hash brown bread ( gotta love carbs on carbs), and the crab croquettes. I've ordered a couple sandwiches here in a rush and they were ok but not remarkable. The tuna sandwich was probably my favorite of the bunch. For breakfast, I recently tried out their bacon/egg on brioche, but it was pretty mid. Made me realize I should just cook that at home and save money. Basically, I'm sticking to my hot dog pastries because I love me a good hot dog. If you want to re-heat them, air-fryer, all day everyday. Lastly, if you are ever in need of a last minute cake that looks as good as it tastes, Paris Baguette has some ready-to-go cakes, and they give you a cake cutter and some candles! We got the cappuccino cake, and as someone who doesn't like sweets, I have found myself going for another slice. So so good! Today we thought we'd try their premade ham and cheese baguette sandwich as well as the Caprese sandwich. Although the flavors were good, the sandwiches were incredibly dry, and the bread was at least two days old. I was only able to eat the very thin top of the sandwich as the bottom part was too hard and too thick. There's a sticker on the sandwich that says the "chef recommends heating" them. This is to disguise that the bread is so old. We didn't have them heated because we planned to eat them a couple hours later and besides that no one heats a Caprese a sandwich it's not meant to be hot. We will not be going back. read more
