Went here with my parents for an afternoon snack. The store is clean and has indoor and outdoor seating. I mainly came here because I wanted to try one of the seasonal items. The lady who helped us was nice but didn't provide us with any recommendations on items. We chose to sit outside even if it was a little windy. 1. Matcha melon pan: Deliciously tasty. It was light, and I loved the little crust on the outer shell. No shortage on matcha filling, which I loved, and it had the lightly sweet melon flavor. 2. Mango coconut pastry: I usually alternate between this and the strawberry tart. 3. Walnut cream cheese bread: My mom's favorite snack, a classic staple here. 4. Chicken empanadas: My mom's favorite here as well. Nice chicken filling that leaves her stuffed. 5. Cinnamon sugar danish bar: I got this for my dad thinking it was similar to a donut stick, but it ended up being dry and uneventful.

Nothing better than a visit from a friend bearing delectable treats. What a nice surprise!! I couldn't help taking a peak before everyone else. Then I not so subtlely suggested we cut each treasure into small portions for a tasting, of everything. It was afternoon and perfect time for a treat! Cousin's friend brought: strawberry and peach danishes and almond twist. My favorite was the sweet tartness of the peach. The fruit in all the danishes was delicious. (4/5). For me, the tastiest part of the special delivery was the curried puff. Deep fried, golden brown goodness filled with a savory, deep flavored curry. This alone will keep me coming back for more..! Thank you friend for remembering my cousin and I. Thank you Andersen for feeding us so well this afternoon..!

More Protein, anyone?! The service was so-so. Not very friendly. The location needs some update in maintenance. Many pastries by the counter are not covered since it is near the exit/entrance. the food is okay.

Pork torta $10.95 and this was just half of it! 4/7/22

This is a solid 3-4 star spot, I am choosing to go with 4 since they have always provided me friendly service and the pastries are delicious, plus it's a nice alternative to the mall food court. Tucked away in one of the halls of the Hillsdale Mall, this bakery always has intoxicating smells of fresh baked bread that will pull you in. I've lived nearby for a while, so I've dropped in more than just once. Whether to grab a pastry while window shopping, or to warm up with a hot soup or tea and catch up with friends, I have never had a really bad experience here. During the pandemic and workin from home, I found they are a nice lunch alternative with plenty of great sandwich options. The pork torta was an unexpected find, but it delivered. I was fearing a wimpy torta, but it was hearty and delicious, something you might find at your favorite taqueria. I could have saved half for 2nd lunch, but that's no fun. At around $9-$10 each, it's a solid value. Back in summer 2022 at least, seating was plentiful and they have some tables outside, but sectioned off from the passerby. Perfect for sunny weather or just to get away. Check them out next time you need a pick me up, to get through your shopping!

This is dangerously close to me I used to order from the one in San Mateo but now I could just stop by this one in my neighborhood whenever. Their desserts are not very sweet and normally quite elegant & delicate as well.

    grill chicken garlic mushroom sandwich

Terrible terrible service, they have extremely rude and sassy workers. It's like they don't care about the job and no one cares enough to say anything about it. Also look at this sandwich he made me. Made by the rude staff. Extremely slow service I cannot even put into words. And put only a quarter piece of chicken??? So inconsistent with the sandwich.

    Mold on raspberry

Sandwiches were super good! We ordered a turkey avocado sandwich and a chicken salad sandwich. Both were tasty and nicely flavored, not bland or too overbearing at all. Service was nice, kind workers who got our order done efficiently. Only downside was mold on the very berry danish... Makes you question the freshness of the fruit on many of their pastries. I'm a bit apprehensive to order one again.

It was one of the few business able to operate though that meant missing out on any stir-fried or hot plates. Meant more for takeout, they do have one table in front w/seating. Okay by me. I was hangry at this point with all my favs out for the count that day. Their spring rolls, banh mi sufficed. And What a surprise! THE ORIGINAL: cold cut ham & pâté w/mayo, fresh pickled veggies, cilantro & jalapeños on a French baguette. One of the best banh mi sandwiches I've had in a long time. IYKYK. Where the bread is spot on! SPRING SHRIMP ROLLS: shrimp, vermicelli noodles, basil & lettuce in rice wrap. Was delightfully fresh in its crisp lettuce, basil, noodles & shrimp. Accompanying Peanut sauce was perfect! Next visit Will have to try their M CAFÉ SPECIAL, seems the closest to the combo Banh mi's from other eateries. As well as their popular Banh mi, GRILLED PORK W/PÂTÉ, or LEMONGRASS TOFU, GRILLED LEMONGRASS BEEF, SARDINE IN TOMATO BASIL SAUCE, PORK BELLY W/PÂTÉ. M SANDWICHES was a nice surprise and I'll be back to try the rest of their menu like LEMONGRASS TOFU SPRING ROLLS, LEMONGRASS TOFU, GRILLED CHICKEN OR BEEF BÚN. See you there!

Ordered the special again, except I found hair in my food, so we stopped going. (We did report the issue right away and the owner refunded us the money.) 3. We recently went back and ordered the original, it's good, but the special is better imo, but also more expensive. 4. We found out the had bun Bo hue on weekends so we had to go back and try it out. My husband and I shared one bowl and a banh mi, we both thought it was one of the better bun Bo hue in the area, the chili paste was so delicious and spicy which was a plus! 5. I'm writing this review today because I was craving the bun Bo hue, so I called in my order and the owner told me it would take 25-30mins, whatever it was a Friday lunch, completely understandable. I timed my walk perfectly since I was only 2 blocks away, but when I started eating my food it wasn't even hot, so the food had already been sitting there for some time...what really set me off was the portion size...$19.95 is way too overpriced for the amount of noodle and meat that were given in the bowl...too bad we don't live in SoCal.

It's in a pretty busy shopping plaza and so parking might be tough. But you walk in and the line is wrapped around with a bunch of sandwich makers that make your order fresh. I ended up getting the lucca's ultimate (turkey, ham, bacon and cheese) on dutch crunch. The sandwich is huge btw so you can definitely split one with someone else. Everything tasted fresh and the garlic sauce is incredible. I will say that the bread isn't toasted and pretty thick so the bite that you get can sometimes be a bit hard to bite through. It might even borderline on being a bit dry because of that. Maybe if it was hallowed out a bit and then toasted, that would be my preference. Overall though, a good sandwich spot

The original Little Lucca's in South San Francisco is legendary, so we're so happy they opened another location in Burlingame. It absolutely lives up to the hype. Located in a plaza with plenty of parking, making it an easy stop. The staff is efficient, friendly, and clearly knows their sandwiches. Already looking forward to our next visit to try another menu item!

This place is BIG with Polynesians & Pacific Islanders mainly for their fresh Kale sipi/moa & manioke or rice. Their curry lamb & curry chicken is made freshly & they have their own mango otai. Me & my family moved out of the neighborhood but still come here when we can because I kid you not, there is no other place in the bay area where they make curry lamb/chicken fresh out in the ISLAND STYLE. Theres a huge difference how Pacific Islanders make it & how Indians make it. The place itself is not large.
