First time trying this out, my friends told me these cookies are delicious... well they were right, the cookies were so good! This shop is small, the service was great and I liked how they also write down on their menu if they are low on cookies and how many are left. They also have a small oven where you can WARM UP YOUR COOKIE(S)! Such a great idea, highly recommend checking this place out for their cookies.
Ambiance: A small cookie shop located on one of the side streets in Downtown San Mateo. The shop has a small seating area upon walking in with mainly a counter and the cookies on display for you to pick what you would like to refer. Wait time: Practically no wait time waiting in line or for cookies after placing your order. Service: The workers were nice and greeted upon entry and were quick to put the order together. Order via worker standing behind the counter. Cookies: The 66% chocolate chip had big chunks of chocolate which the bitterness helped balance the cookie. The cookies n cream was a little sweet for me but had again pieces of Oreos inside with a nice texture. The chocolate peanut butter again had both chocolate and creamy peanut butter which didn't leave the mouth dry. The honey comb was a unique and different taste with the honeycomb providing a less common sweetness but can be overpowering. The toffee cookie had bits of toffee which again provided texture without being overly sweet. The oatmeal chocolate walnut cookie was my second favorite after the 66% dark cocoa due to the oatmeal again balancing the sweetness of the chocolate with the saltiness of the walnuts. Overall would recommend for a solid cookie with a fair price and the day olds were also extremely cheap for a better quality than you could get at other places.

Antoine's continues to be my tried and true! I just ordered about 100 cookies from them for a corporate event and it was staged and ready to go for a quick pick up! The cookies were so fresh and just about everyone complimented them at the party! It was super easy to do the order online too even though I called first just in case, because the quantity.

Before we queued up for dinner at a spot nearby, we stopped in to Antoine's Cookie Shop. My friends and I went in together for a Baker's Dozen ($32 for 13 cookies) so that we can get a variety. My favorites of my selection were the honeycomb, cookies n cream, and toffee. Best pre-dinner snack! There are parking spots up front, though not a lot, but we lucked out with an empty space as we drove up. Not much room inside to dawdle either, so check out the menu outside and go in to order and pickup. read more
Stopped by Antonie's Cookie Shop while we were in downtown San Mateo around 7pm on a Sunday. Some cookies were sold out so we ended up getting the Snickerdoodle, Cookies N' Cream, and the Toffee (each for $2.75). I appreciate that there is a microwave in the shop! All the cookies were a bit dry, especially the Snickerdoodle. I didn't get much cinnamon flavor from it either. I liked the flavor of the Toffee and Cookies N' Cream cookies, but I wish there were more mix-ins. Overall, the cookies were pretty standard cookies and nothing really stood out to me. Love coming here! The cookies all taste so good and really appreciate they have a nut free allergy process separating tongs and boxes. My favorites are the cookies and cream, toffee, honey comb, and white Mac nut! The kids always love the snickerdoodle, chocolate chip, and cookies and cream. Cookies are a good size People are always so friendly here! Center of downtown San Mateo for a nice walk or to pick up some cookies after a meal. I was the first one to show up at Antoine's when they opened on Saturday. I picked out three cookies - honeycomb, toffee and white chocolate macadamia - and ended up eating all of them while shopping in San Mateo. They were warm, fresh, and delicious. This is exactly why I don't get the baker's dozen... I'd seriously eat them all myself! Love this cookie shop! We typically stop by when we're in the area and it never disappoints. These cookies are not too sweet or too chewy or too crunchy. They are PERFECT. I usually just order the milk chocolate and semi sweet cookies and both are equally my favorite. I have yet to try the rest but I'm sure they're just as good! read more

Antoine's Cookie Shop is the place for cookies! My friends have all recommended I visit and recently, my Dad's been wanting to go. I'm an avid baker so never consider buying cookies since I can make them, but after trying Antoine's I understand the appeal! Dad and I came on a quiet weekday. The shop is on the smaller end, with enough to order inside and for a couple of people to wait. The process is efficient, order, pay, and receive your cookies instantly. The service was good as well. My Dad ordered half a dozen cookies and gave me one. I requested the Honeycomb Cookie since it's more unique. The texture of the cookie was superb--slightly crispy, chewy, and so soft. I loved the subtle sweetness of the honey and the slight richness of the chocolate. I regret not requesting more because I'd love to try their other flavors! Antoine's Cookie Shop is a must-try in the Bay Area for all cookie lovers. Although a bit unassuming on the outside, the cookies are heavenly! I hope to visit again in the future. The shop is downtown off 2nd Ave. with metered parking, parking garages, and free neighborhood parking. read more
Antoine is a little hole in the wall coffee shop. You walk in and it's sort of reminds me of crumble because they have an actual cookie of each type they have on display. They had lots of good looking flavors and samples! We ended up getting the dark chocolate chip cookie and the white chocolate chip cookie. They were baked to perfection. We loved them. Parking is a little bit difficult just because it's so crowded in downtown San Mateo. I would totally go back. The service was excellent as the people working there were really sweet. I don't know why people eat or buy cookies, and I used to think this was an extremely expensive way to gain weight and rot teeth, but now the price is actually okay compared to competitors. You essentially get a free cookie if you order a baker's dozen. They sell day old bags, but they don't have them all the time. They also conveniently sell milk and water for a reasonable price. They serve soft, buttery, and sweet cookies with a fair variety of standard flavors, and have other locations in the bay. They are very soft and flexible, so if you like hard cookies, you won't find them here. I do like the crunch and salt from the honeycomb flavor, and the outer layer of the cookie has a little bite to them. The interior is small and with room to only stand. There is a microwave on the counter if you want to warm your cookie right there. Whenever I've gone here, the staff usually gives me a stink eye and doesn't like answering questions. I feel like people who sell cookies should be friendlier or at least happier. read more

Both cookies were great, the flavors really come through with the crispy and gooey textures. More of a traditional style cookie, which is comforting. 11am I was in downtown and had to pop into Antoine's! Spoiled myself with a white chocolate macadamia (I'm a huge white chip macadamia fan from subway) + a 66% dark! Never fails to deliver! I opted on a day old bag of 3 cookies for $6.50 for my room mates who put me onto Antoine's in the first place. Always have milk on stock and I had a fun interaction with Lauren and Kassidy at the register for a fantastic start to my Friday morning. I appreciate that there is no prompt for tip, but this is one of those strange situations where I had a genuine human connection and moment with some cool people and to have been able to show gratitude would've been nice, but I can presume that Antoine takes care of their employees knowing that they do not prompt for tip, which is something I hope all businesses can all follow suit. A divisive subject that ironically I think can be solved with a healthy discussion over some Antoine's cookies. 5/5 stars read more

I've tried Antoine's cookies a few years back and I remember enjoying them so much. They are located just in the heart of downtown San Mateo. A small cookie shop that you can smell its aroma miles away. The place has a friendly staff and a clean and organize shop. today, I needed to fulfill some sweet cravings and thought it is time for some Antoine's cookies again. So I ordered for delivery a dozen cookies of flavor varieties from choco chip, cookies and cream, toffee, honeycomb, semi sweet, white chocolate macadamia, and walnut. I was super excited for them and I didn't wait long for it to be delivered. They all came fresh, hot and ready to be devoured. They are absolutely delicious! read more

Tried the honeycomb and white chocolate macadamia. The honeycomb was nice and flat, not too sweet, and was a great cookie all around. Subtle hints of salt. Definitely make use of that microwave they have. Nice crisp edges on both cookies I ordered and great flavor. Middle falls apart in a good way. The white chocolate macadamia tasted like a better subway cookie but it did lack macadamia nuts, I still enjoyed though. A nice treat after having dinner around the area. I recommend these cookies to people who love to bake because the flavors and texture are on point. All the things you would want in a cookie if you're a seasoned baker like me ;-) read more

You can freeze them. That will retain the flavor but not the texture.

yes, they were selling day old cookies in bags by the counter when i went (september 2021)

Hello, we mix all our cookies separately and bake them on separate sheets. But we still have heard from customers who had an allergic reaction to non nut cookies.
Can we call and order in advance? Then just come and pick up?
Yes but on busy days we may not be able to accommodate this request. You can also just come in and purchase.
