A antique looking coffee shop in Milbrae . It has big bright windows . Table and chairs and electric outlets for lap tops or phones . Menu is quite interesting. We try their specialty espresso: black latte . It is a good size of coffee , the black and white pattern is very pretty . Tastes great. It has some light charcoal flavor with a tiny bit of sugar cane flavor. Very good coffee . Love the black and white tile patterns on the floor . It is enjoyable and peaceful place to rest and work on your lap top .
Coffee was average. Very generous amount of caffeine. Price was honestly not worth it compared to other higher end coffee shops in the area. Got the brown sugar latte and it was masked by the brown sugar taste. If I were to come back, I would try something different. I will say vibes were amazing and shop was cute. I would give it another try, Server was nice!
Milli Cafe is located in downtown Millbrae so parking can be a little tricky since it's located in a busy area, but I was able to find a spot nearby without too much trouble. The cafe itself is very aesthetic with plenty of natural light that makes the space feel bright and comfy. There was also plenty of seating available when I visited, which made it a nice place to relax and enjoy my coffee. I ordered an iced latte, and the coffee was smooth, well balanced, and beans were decent quality. Overall, Milli Cafe has a great atmosphere and serves quality coffee. I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in the area.
I was on a mission to find a coffee shop where I can go offline for some time. It was on a rainy day, I definitely did not want to head to the city. I wanted to find a new spot, to give other businesses some love. Ended up at the end of busy downtown Millbrae at a corner with Milli Cafe. It's pretty spacious inside with some communal and individual tables, some bar seats along the windows as well. Granted that day was pouring, I would expect more people on a weekend if the weather was better. I didn't look at their pastry selection, maybe for next time. I ended up getting their rose latte, was debating between that and charcoal latte, but I didn't need a black colored coffee to match that weather. Happy with my choice though, the coffee was smooth, the rose flavors were not overpowering. The presentation was cute, with the crushed petals added on. Service is a bit on the slower end, there were about 3 workers, less than a handful of customers throughout my time there. One group of customers left and their tables were full of crumbs, it did take a while for the staff to clean up. I do hope service speeds up a bit if there is a larger influx of customers.
A nice pick me up after my workout class nearby! I love the natural lighting in this space, enough seating, great for a quick catch up with a friend. I wanted an iced coffee that was good with soy milk and the barista recommended the Raw Honey Latte. Solid choice! A lil more on the sweeter side, but didn't bother me. Would love to come back!
I visited the coffee shop on a weekday morning when it was relatively quiet and there was no rush, so I expected a more attentive experience. Unfortunately, both baristas seemed to ignore us at the counter and ended up taking the order of someone who arrived a few minutes later, apparently because they were known to them. That part was a bit disappointing and set the wrong first impression. As for the coffee, it was decent taste and it felt slightly overpriced given the portion size. That said, the ambience is definitely a strong point. The space is comfortable, calm, and well-suited for spending time, especially if you want to sit down with a laptop and get some work done. Despite the service hiccup, I'd still consider coming back mainly for the atmosphere rather than the coffee itself.
Stopped by here ahead of going to the SFO airport. The coconut latte is delicious and really flavorful as a hot latte. The space is bright with natural lighting and the illuminated boards really adds to the space. If I lived around here, I would definitely be here all the time! There's a bathroom, WiFi and there's 1 hour and 2 hour parking right outside.
Great looking interior with a simple menu of espresso and matcha drinks. During busy periods like weekend mornings, be prepared to wait 5-10 mins in line and then 15 mins for your order. If you are in a hurry, you should go elsewhere. Two people working on a busy morning. Enjoyed my matcha latte though a bit over powered by the milk and less of the matcha taste. Not sure what type of matcha they use or if enough was used. Note they do charge $1 for any of the alternative milks like soy, oat or almond. Bakery items are made in house according to them. Limited seating with a counter at the open window and a few small tables inside.
This cute cafe has a nice menu including seasonal ones with fun flavors. I tried the banana cold brew crema which was good and definitely kept me awake, but I think the matcha was a winner here. For just a regular matcha, it had a strong flavor and wasn't too sweet. Service was nice and the drinks came out pretty fast.
Milli Cafe is a clean and modern cafe, fairly poppin' in the mornings with people catching up over breakfast. I stopped by while waiting for some friends at SFO, craving a matcha latte but not expecting much. While this isn't exactly an authentic, hand-whisked matcha, it was okay. It was an iced sweet drink that did its job. Overall though? the service was sweet and the space was clean.

My friend recently told me this is the sister shop to my go-to coffee spot in my neighborhood, Spruce Cafe in South San Francisco. It's my first time here but the staff and flavors feel familiar. My barista, Amy, works at both Millie and Spruce Cafe. She is very meticulous with her latte art and always creates the cutest designs for customers. One of the main reasons I enjoy going to Spruce Cafe is because of the latte art the staff create. Millie has large windows, making the space bright and airy. The drinks are similar to those at Spruce Cafe. There is plenty of street parking available outside, so parking is easy.
Cute space for coworking and yapping with friends! They have a nice open area with lots of natural lightning from big windows. They have counter seating with a couple of tables. We got a hot Matcha Latte and iced Matcha Latte. Both were alright and I wished the matcha flavor was stronger. read more
Milli Cafe in Millbrae is one of my favorite coffee spots on the peninsula, and all of their drinks are amazing. The iced matcha latte and iced latte are my personal favorites. If you are ever in the peninsula area, you must come try their coffee. read more
Stumbled across this place looking for some coffee for my partner. I got the seasonal rose matcha latte. Rose just means they add 2 pumps of Torani syrup and the matcha tastes like the One Organic from costco. They do use an actual whisk and bowl for it though so there are no clumps, points for that. Otherwise, the matcha is nothing special. It is quite cute inside though and they have a nice bar where the windows open up directly to the outside which is a very nice feature. read more

I was so excited to stroll by a new café that just opened up in little downtown Millbrae! I believe they took over a Shiseido cosmetic store which never seemed to have customers! Currently in its soft opening phase, Millie Café serves Ritual coffee and will soon be able to serve in house pastries as well. I loved my Matcha latte which was made strong and sweetened with honey (you can also request for simple syrup as a sweetener). I asked for less sweet and it was exactly that. Noah, the barista, was awesome and super nice! Aesthetic is modern and bright. No real tables, just basic counter seats that run against the walls. Would be nice if the seats were more comfortable. Perhaps they intended the cafe to be more to-go rather than sit-in for an extended period of time. Regardless, it's a breath of fresh air to have a real cafe in Millbrae outside of Starbucks and Peet's. Can't wait to return and try more drink selections as well as their in-house made pastries soon! read more

Just popped in for a late morning pick me up and grabbed an iced matcha with vanilla. (For some reason I tasted a hint of coconut though?) It was just okay, I would probably not order a matcha here again but I have also had a dirty chai and that was pretty good! I do get turned off when I see a small coffee shop using torani syrups instead of homemade though. I would like to try some more of their coffee drinks. read more

There is a dark, modern exterior that stands out with a tile marked with a bold capital M at the entrance. The vibes are minimal and bright, with a large Milli logo on the wall to the left and a central coffee bar surrounded by seating along the perimeter. Most people here are quietly working on laptops. The lighting is soft, creating a calm workspace vibe, even though it's not the brightest. Unsure if they offer complimentary Wi-Fi, but dogs are welcome inside. We got the Havana Latte and Raw Honey Latte. The Raw Honey Latte had just the right touch of sweetness, but both are crafted with care. Prices are on the higher end for coffee. read more

Great addition to downtown Millbrae! They are a sister location to Spruce Cafe SSF. Check them out for house baked pastries and espresso made with Ritual Coffee. Try out their seasonal specials, charcoal latte, and cold brew crema drinks for something unique. Service is welcoming and the space is simple, modern and clean. read more
New coffee shop in Milbrae. It serves coffee, latte and matcha. We ordered matcha latte with almond milk and latte with oatmilk. I think the matcha need more work. I can still taste the powder. I think it needs whisk more. It is a bit bitter. The inside is roomy and bright. Will try other drink next time. read more
My coffee was fantastic- the espresso was so smooth I almost wondered if it even had coffee. It was definitely strong! My croissant was tasty but hard and old, and at $5 I expected a better result. I could've had it warmed but it wasn't offered to me, so I figured it was still fresh. The interior is light and bright, with the front door left open to let fresh air in! It's inviting but not ideal for working on laptops - more to catch up with friends, which is a great vibe! It would be nice to see couches and maybe bagels? read more

Coming here on a Sunday afternoon is such a great vibe. Wasn't too busy. I've ordered the iced coconut matcha latte. Great interaction with the barista with my family, girlfriend, and I. She was super friendly and patient. The flavor of the coconut matcha latte is two of the best flavors combined together. If you're a coconut person then this drink is for you. Millbrae just got a serious caffeine upgrade. This brand-new café is not messing around--Ritual beans, Clover milk, and vibes so nice you'll want to linger long after your cup is empty. The design is clean and modern, striking that perfect balance between cozy and cool. Must try: the Matcha Coconut Latte with Half & Half. It's creamy, dreamy, and tastes like matcha went on a beach vacation and came back enlightened. Already planning my next visit. If you're in Millbrae and still drinking gas station coffee, it's time to level up. read more

The cutest latte art ever! So excited to try out this new cafe in our neighborhood and it didn't disappoint. Good service, high quality coffee. My only feedback is all of the surfaces here are hard so it creates a very loud echo from customer conversations and is difficult to get some work or studying done unless you have excellent noise canceling headphones. read more

Came here 15 min after it opened since I worked nearby. It wasn't busy yet so street parking was fairly easy to find. The place is small with few tables and some stools. There was one employee working at the time and I did see a sign that they are hiring if anyone is in need of a job. I've never seen a matcha coconut latte before, so of course I had to order it with less ice and oat milk. At first it was weird but the after taste was unexpectedly good! For those that like coconut, you should give this a try. Definitely need to try more drinks to give a better review but that's all I have for now. They also had a 2 different croissant. One with chocolate and not sure if the other one is plain. read more

I stopped by Milli Cafe since I was early for an appointment nearby, and I love the open space! The windows are open to the street welcoming fresh air and sunshine :). I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk, less sweet. She said if I wanted it sweeter just to let her know but it was perfect as is. Matcha flavor is distinct. Latte creamy. read more

We stopped by on a late weekend morning and got 2 matcha lattes with crema. There weren't very many people in the coffee shop when we went. There were lots of open seating on a late Sunday morning with plenty of natural light. The baristas were very friendly. It's a super cute coffee shop in the heart of Millbrae. I really wanted to like their matcha latte especially seeing that they hand whisk their matcha, but it was a pass for me. I'd probably try their espresso lattes next time. Otherwise, I'd just come for the vibes. read more
Stumbled upon this place while walking around the Millbrae farmers market! I loved the cute shop - super aesthetic with their interior design and wall of coffee beans. I visited while they're still under a soft opening, getting used to serving customers and a feel for the space. The staff was nice and offered good recommendations. I ended up getting an iced coconut latte which was tasty. I loved the flavors of the coconut which made it creamy and sweet. However, I did notice clumps of powder so I wish they had dissolved the coconut powder prior to mixing it in. Hopefully something they can improve on or consider for later! Anyways I'd love to pop by again and try out more of their menu! read more
We loved our experience at Milli Cafe today. For one thing it's dog friendly and to me that is the most important thing besides good coffee. The second thing is that the ambience was so cool and hip. The people that work there are so nice. I think they could have better pastries, but we did like what we got. The blueberry scone was delicious. The chocolate chip cookie was OK but alittle bit dried out and the pastry it was like a crisscross croissant with like a cheese and leek inside was delicious. We got a black coffee and the holiday special s'more with roasted marshmallow. The roasted marshmallow was kind of pathetic cause they only gave you three or four and they were super tiny and you could barely see the roast marked, but it was still really fun. By the time I got home the marshmallows had dissolved leaving a phone on the top, but it tasted delicious. I know I seem like I'm complaining, but I actually really did like the place. The parking is horrendous. That's not the café's fault. The café is on the corner and it's just so pretty. I highly recommend it. read more
Stopped in today to try Milli and copped the dirty chai latte with soy. Honestly I can barely taste the chai but it's ok. Maybe I'll try something different next time since my office is relatively close. It's super minimalist inside and clean. read more

(This review is not about the employee, young man was working his butt off) Wednesday morning 8:30AM only one employee working the cashier AND making coffee. A cup of coffee took 20 minutes to serve (from the time I walked in)!! It is a weekday morning people have things to do places to go. Management don't be cheap hire more people. The restroom remodel was DIY with cheap non-commercial grade parts (handle broke in this grand open business), the sealant application was worse than my child's school project. Toilet paper and hand soap were not refilled due to under staffing. And the exterior windows were also DIY with clear Acrylic plastic, this place will be flooded next time a heavy rain storm hits. Property value in Millbrae ranges between $2 to $3 million, you'd think your customers might have some standards with the quality their coffee shops? My vanilla mocha also didn't taste like vanilla, but at this point that is the least of my concerns. Owner is cheap and doesn't deserve high value customers. read more

The store is so cute I love the setup very spacious. The service was fast and very friendly. Everything looked so good and I wanted to try the black latte and rose latte but I got the cinnamon brown sugar latte. Id rate it a 7/10 it wasn't too sweet or milky which was nice but I couldn't taste the brown sugar. The matcha latte wasn't too sweet either and matcha taste was a good amount. I would definitely come back to try the other drinks! read more

Thank goodness they opened another café in Millbrae! It's local, has a great menu, and offers a nice selection of fresh pastries. The staff is very friendly and always ready with recommendations if you're new to the area. The space is large, welcoming, and filled with plenty of tables, perfect for getting work done or catching up with friends. read more
