TL;DR solid above average teas with some interesting combinations. Food/Drinks: Tea Brick was a nice surprise for someone like myself that consumes copious amounts of boba. I usually stick to the teas at any boba shop, and Tea Brick offered many to choose from. I ordered the Sunset Paradise which has guava and pineapple juices with basil seeds and chunks of pineapple. I topped it off with some boba, and it was a very nice melody of flavors and textures. 10/10 I'd ordering it again. We also ordered some popcorn chicken which was nicely cooked, good size chunks, and hit the spot when we needed a small snack. Location: This Tea Brick location is right next to the Mama Lu's. There is a parking area behind the building with some spots. It was filled even on off hours so street parking may be an option as well. This drink is a little on the sweeter end, but it hits every time. The service is a bit slow, but the quality and cute cups add to the experience. There is plenty of parking right behind and in the garage. The ambiance is very relaxed, but it feels like no one really stays to socialize after getting a drink. Went with a friend on a Friday night to try Tea Brick and had a pleasant experience. There isn't much seating inside due to the small space, but it is a cozy bubble tea shop. There wasn't much staff interaction since we ordered on the self serve kiosk, but we received our order in a timely manner. My friend ordered the honeydew milk tea and I ordered the love at first sight drink which came in cups adorned with super cute corgis. We were satisfied with the quality of our drinks and I enjoyed mine so much that I ordered a second love at first sight to go. We also tried the popcorn chicken which was not just juicy and tender, but also well seasoned. It was flavorful even without needing to use the dipping sauce. Cute reusable corgi cups but the tea is mehhh. I got a rose oolong tea with grass jelly 50% sweet. There was no rose flavor and the tea wasn't fresh tasting. Overall it was just ok. Also the grass jelly wasn't fresh since it was hard. The drink cost $6.10 so it isn't cheap but you do get to reuse the cup. Also try to park on the top level and do not go into the garage downstairs. The garage downstairs smells of marijuana. I saw poop (unknown if human or dog) on the stairway and it looks like someone is living down there too. I was scared and a bit disturbed. read more

I got the Christine drink and Yummee Peach Lychee drink in a bottle. Their bottles are a few cents more than if you were to just get the drink in a regular cup, but everyone comes for their bottles since it's cute. Both of my drinks wasn't good. It was not sweet and I asked for 100% sweetness. It tasted watered down, no tea flavor. The lychee bits also included the skin of the lychee, so it being difficult to consume I only drank the drink instead. I don't recommend the drinks here, but if you are here for the cute bottles go for it. read more

Came here to try out their drinks and get one of those super cute corgi cups that I've seen on social media. The cup they have this season is Christmas themed and super cute! However, I didn't enjoy my drink as much as I thought I would. Even though I got regular sweetness, the fruit tea was still pretty bland and watered down. I did enjoy the lychee bits that came with the drink and decided to substitute passion fruit seeds with lychee jelly which I don't believe costed extra. Their milk teas might be better than their milk teas. There is a small parking lot outside that fills up pretty quickly. There was no wait when we arrived and our drinks came out a minute after we ordered. Personally, I think this place is nice for IG-worthy boba pics but the drinks themselves were just ok. read more

I love fruity teas with real fruit to munch on instead of boba for a healthier option so I opted for the Vanessa. The Vanessa is a strawberry and peach green or black tea with lychee and strawberry bits ($5.85 including tax). I asked for less ice and 75% sugar and it was perfect. They also have a TOP 10 list on the wall if you're indecisive on what to order. They have super aesthetic cute cups with an adorable corgis in space design! The cups are huge and are reusable which is a plus. The only fault is that it's literally a tall cup with no secure straw hole - if you can't finish your drink in one sitting, you'll have to throw the straw away to cap your drink and use another straw later... The drinks came out in record time, by the time I was done ordering it was already made and waiting for me at the pickup! There are a couple tables to chill with friends and they also have WiFi. I can't believe the bottled version ("Beauty") of the drink was only 40 cents more than the disposable cups ("Cutie"). Was so excited to get the reusable bottles with corgi stickers! They are so cute and I'm definitely going to reuse them. The spot is quite unassuming and dark from the outside but more lively inside with lots of 2000s music when my friends and I were there. They have a cute pick-up station with a brick wall. Street parking was pretty easy to find - there seemed to be a lot behind the store that might be available for parking too. I liked the drinks, couple hits and misses. I've never tasted a lychee soda float, but it was really good. Plain vanilla ice cream inside of lychee soda. I'd get it again. My wife had the matchamisu, which was basically tiramisu flavors inside of match tea. It was pretty good, but not as good as the tiramisu foam from tan cha. So probably a little bad timing since we had just had tan cha the night before. Cups were super cute, but made it hard to drink. Would have been better if there was some kind of opening in the lid to drink from so you don't have to unscrew the whole thing to put the straw in. This place has been on my radar for a few years already, mostly because of the cute reusable cups lol. Finally had the chance to try them out using Postmates! I ordered the tea brick creme brulee drink w/ eggnog pudding, white chocolate snow milk w/ boba, popcorn chicken, chicken wings, curly fries, garlic french fries, and the matcha brick toast. When the food arrived, both of the fries were pretty soggy, but I can't expect them to be fresh and crispy when using a delivery app. Luckily, I air-fried them, and they tasted better. The popcorn chicken and chicken wings were okay, they tasted good but nothing extraordinary. The drinks were mediocre and way too sweet, especially the creme brulee one. Would not recommend choosing regular sweet unless you have a big sweet tooth. I did like the pudding and the boba in each of the drinks! The boba was soft and chewy with a hint of sweetness. The eggnog pudding was soft and silky. However, the thing I was most excited about was the reusable cups! REAL TALK: I only came to Tea Brick because I wanted their cutely designed milk tea 'bottles' that they serve in; it's a bit of an upcharge, but because I like aesthetically-pleasing/kawaii items, I'm all for it! Tea Brick offers various fruity teas, snow milk, loose-leaf teas, ice teas, slushes, milk teas, milk shakes, mojitos, and even makes their own honey sea salt cream. They also have bites, such as various snacks (sweet potato fries, chicken nuggets, popcorn chicken, etc.) and toasts. I ordered: the Vanessa (tea version; strawberry and peach flavored green tea with sliced strawberries and lychees); the Lycheeberry (tea version; strawberry and lychee flavored green tea with strawberries and lychee jelly); and, Cherry Sunrise (tea version; orange and lychee flavored green tea with oranges and cherries). I don't recollect in the staff asking me the level of sweetness, if Tea Brick even offers that option, but the beverages I received were super watered down. I was a little disappointed with the designed 'bottles' that they had, but I was still able to get one of each of the designs; definitely reusable, though, but need to be handwashed. A lot of boba places these days have a unique set of drinks but some days, I just want something old school like caramel milk tea. While waiting in line for Mama Lu's dumpling house, my friends and I decided to head over to the Tea Brick to grab some drinks. It wasn't too busy on a Saturday afternoon and we were able to place our drinks at the kiosk. I got a caramel milk tea with boba, as I don't see a lot of boba places offering it these days and sometimes, I just want something nostalgic. The drink itself is good. It's nothing to write home about, but it tastes like how a caramel milk tea should taste. The boba was very chewy and the milk tea wasn't too creamy or too tea-y. The boba was perfect, and the tea was perfectly sweet without being too sweet. It's really hard to find good green tea (not specifically matcha) lattes in Philly, so it's up to the Asian places to look out for my taste buds.
