Popcorn chicken came out after the soups. It wasn't as good as tapioca express or i-tea The sizzling beef udon and lamb soup was decent. The seafood flavor was really grainy like they didn't fully wash the mussels / clams or something. Overall, this was the hype when it first opened in southern Cali 10 years ago and now it's just taste like it gets the job done.
My sister recommended Tasty Pot because she said it was well known for its soup and good service, so we decided to give this location a try. Unfortunately, our experience at the Dublin location was extremely disappointing. We visited on August 8, 2026, at around 8:45 PM. We are a family of 9 and were just passing through the area on our way to our hotel. Since the restaurant's website states that the closing time is 9:30 PM, we thought we had enough time to have dinner, especially since this was our first time visiting. As soon as we arrived, however, we were told by the server that 8:45 PM was the last call for orders. We immediately tried to order as quickly as possible using the online ordering system because we did not want to inconvenience the staff. After placing our order, we were then told that green tea and other teas were unavailable, so all of our drink orders were canceled except for water. We understood that items can sometimes run out, so we let that go. The biggest problem was the service and atmosphere after we received our food. It was very difficult to get the attention of the staff because everyone seemed to be rushing around cleaning. We genuinely felt like we were a burden simply because we were still eating. What was especially inappropriate was that while customers were still dining, the staff began putting chairs up on the tables. I even took a picture because I believe management should be aware of what was happening. If the restaurant is still open and customers are still eating, this is not the kind of atmosphere customers should be subjected to. Even worse, it appeared that the AC was turned off while we were still eating, even though it was not yet closing time. With hot pot already being a very warm meal, we were literally sweating while trying to eat. After a long day of traveling, the last thing we wanted was to feel rushed and uncomfortable during dinner. We tried not to make a big issue out of it because we were tired and simply wanted to finish our meal and get to our hotel. But honestly, this type of service is unacceptable. I don't know if this is how every Tasty Pot location operates, but if this is specific to this branch, management really needs to address it and properly train the staff on how to treat customers who are still dining during business hours. Unfortunately, this was our first experience with Tasty Pot, and it will most likely be our last. We were hoping to enjoy the food and understand why my sister recommended it, but the poor service and uncomfortable atmosphere completely ruined the experience. With hot pot, the food is already hot enough. There's no need for the customers to leave with a boiling-hot temper because of the service. Very disappointing, and definitely not a place I would recommend based on this experience.
Been coming here since they opened way back when. Always get consistent, solid, filling meals here. Defo a go-to when we don't know what to eat for lunch. Bonus free tea with your pot when you dine in for lunch!! Japanese Miso best pot hands down. Tried beef today was also pretty good. Taiwanese flavor was alright. Popcorn chicken is always good. Looks like they added a staff member recently, which is super helpful. Friendly staff & efficient service.
Tasty Pot always hits the spot. They have many different soup options available. My friend and I ordered 2 different soups. It comes with varieties of meat, seafood, veggies, and clear noodles. They are both delicious. Be sure to use their bean paste and chili sauce to add a little extra spice for dipping your meat and veggies in. Will need to come back and try other soup and new dishes.
The food here is definitely on point! I love that you order through a tablet -- super easy -- and the sauces are already conveniently set at each table, so you don't have to get up. My only complaint is the service. The servers weren't very attentive when it came to refilling sauces or my water. Even getting extra napkins or the check took more effort than it should have. That said, the flavors and quality of the food make it worth coming back. If they could step up the attentiveness a bit, this would easily be a 5-star spot for me.
Seated for a party of 8 pretty quickly. Servers were strained but managed to do well with several large parties at the same time. Kid enjoyed sharing the beef pot and the sizzling beef rice and lamb pot were also good. $4.25 for a side of udon or cabbage but I suppose prices are just astounding now. Water and soup refills were plentiful. The bathroom needed attention though and isn't cleaned too often or at least, it wasn't when we were there. Only one stall was usable as the other one was just too dirty.
It's been a while since I've been to tasty pot as there's not one near my city. The wait was 5 mins and we were seated right away and they gave us a iPad to order. The servers are very attentive here. The food comes out within 10 mins. We ordered the miso Japanese pot and the beef hot pot. The spicy popcorn is so fresh and hot! Can't wait to come back again!
Have not been here for about 1 to 2 months. Still tasted as good as before. I especially like that in a hot pot place, there is a choice of sizzling plate and it is pretty good! The servers were very friendly and efficient. I spilled water all over the floor and the lady was very patient and quick to come to wipe the table and floor: special star for this! Parking was easy, right outside in the outdoor parking lot. Ambiance was casual, cozy and nice. Will come again if craving for beef pot or cheesy milk pot.
I love tasty pot! In a cold day, the lamb and spicy pot are so good. You have to come here to try the delicious soups.
Still coming here after all these years and happy to report the food remains solid. The broth is flavorful, ingredients are fresh, and everything comes out fast--just like I remembered. I usually go for the same Taiwanese Supreme Spicy hot pot, but the Herbal hot pot is a strong second. They haven't skimped on quality, and it's still a great deal with the lunch special that includes a drink. That comforting feeling of having your own little bubbling pot of goodness hasn't gone anywhere. Service has stayed consistently friendly and efficient. Staff check in regularly without hovering, and they're quick to top off your broth or bring out anything you need. It's clear this place still knows what it's doing. Still a fan, and still racking up those points!
Went to Tasty Pot with my partner for some tasty food. We have been a couple times before and it has been great every time. The restaurant is in the olferts center in Dublin with many other Asian businesses and ample parking. We came around dinner time on a weekday and there were a few people dining in with many open tables. We each got the beef rice hot plate and udon hot plate. They came out steaming where you have to mix them around to get the meat fully cooked. We ate all of our food, both were really good. We also got the spicy popcorn chicken. Very tasteful For drinks we got the black tea and Hokkaido milk tea with boba. Very refreshing We will definitely be back and recommend this place for anyone craving beef hot plates and boba!

Our first time at this location and we decided to go for lunch on a Thursday. Not too crowded. The inside was clean and the music was not too loud. At this location they let you order through an ipad, which is nice if you don't want to talk to the staff. We ordered the Beef flavored hot pot medium spicy and very spicy and popcorn chicken. Our food came out hot which I love. It was our first time getting the popcorn chicken and it was pretty solid. I also loved that in the hotpot there were huge slices of taro. At other locations it's usually just a small piece of taro. The staff were very nice and would serve us water and refills on the soup. I would come back to this location! :)

Came here to warm a cold night. Busy as usual. Had a thirty minute wait. Server was friendly as we were seated. Place is clean which was a plus. I ordered the beef hot soup and my friend ordered the kimchi dumpling hot soup. Presentation along with personal burner was a nice touch. Tho, I had no idea how to close the burner as I couldn't see if it was sealed. At least the server was nice enough to help me out. The soup was a large portion and flavorful. This place hits the spot every time. I love getting the stinky tofu pot. It might have a little stench BUT the flavor is sooooooo worth it. It's like mini hot pot with a little bit of everything inside. Service is fast and quick. The food gets out pretty fast. read more
Always a lunch time favorite!! My go to is #4 curry hot pot, the sizzling beef plater and popcorn chicken. You can get it as mild or spicy as you like! Personally my favorite is the combo of curry hot pot and a sizzling platter to share with a friend, you get the best of both worlds!! read more

Updated my review from 5 stars to 1 star after receiving the worst service experience in my life: The most recent promotion they have is to leave good review on yelp for exchanging a free snack, but on their website the promo descriptions are inconsistent between English and Chinese (btw this is a Chinese restaurant and many customers use their Chinese website to order) - English version shows the free item is a snack whereas the Chinese version shows it's free drink, and it didn't say clearly that this is a "dine in only" per their Chinese website. And if it's dine-in only why it is showing up on their online order system? See below pictures. I read the Chinese website and ordered a hotpot, a snack, and a drink (free item per their Chinese website) to go. When got there, I only got my hotpot and drink, and paid for those two. When I asked about my snack, they said because it was only a "dine-in" promotion so they've manually deleted the snack from my order, and also had the comment that they've been running this promo for 3 months and I'm the only person had this issue, suggesting that I was trying to get a benefit from them for free food. I had to wait for over 15 mins and talk to their manager on the phone to have them admit it was their fault for messing up the promo sites and receive my missing item. I was so frustrated to be treated like this for their own fault. I'll never ever come to this place. I've been to tasty pot in other locations for tons of times and I had really pleasant experience, except Dublin. read more

Tasty Pot is a good go to spot for those colder evenings or rainy days. They offer a wide range of options at a reasonable price. You can get a dinner here at about $20. For the food, it was just okay for me. The broth was a little bland, but I do like that they pack the pot with a lot of food. I felt like it was endless with the amount of meat, veggies and whatever I can find in the soup. You'll definitely get full. Their side sauces are great as well. I took some home, and you can enjoy it with just rice by itself. I would pass on the Takoyaki if I ever came back. It just wasn't good. The inside was mushy and liquidy. It is kind of confusing that they're serving it at a Taiwanese Hot Pot place; maybe that was my sign to not order this. The waiters are attentive but they can be a bit rude. We had a request for one waiter, and another waiter yanked him away from us. They got us what we needed, but it was just a weird situation unfolding in front of us. read more

My girlfriend and I came here craving something warm and flavorful, and Tasty Pot delivered. We ordered the Sichuan Spicy Soup and Popcorn Chicken, and both dishes hit the spot. The Sichuan Spicy Soup was bold, fragrant, and deeply satisfying. The broth had just the right level of heat to make your lips tingle but still let the rich, savory flavors shine through. I'm a little torn on this rating. I'm rounding up on the rating but if I could I would rate it 3.5*. As soon as you're seated they give you an iPad to order. Since it's just us 2, it wasn't a big deal. But I imagine if you're a bigger group of friends or coworker it might get weird to pass around the iPad to order. We ordered 2 items and I'll try to remember what items are in the soup. There are many varieties and I don't think I'll remember them all. Beef pot - beef, small beef meatball, fish cake, clams, tomato, taro slices, Napa cabbage, tofu slices, enoki mushroom, corn, imitation crab meat, cilantro, vermicelli Miso pot - Cabbage, pork , crab piece , udon ,enoki, clam, fish pieces ,tofu skin, soft tofu , squid ring , corn , fishball , kelp, zucchini ,raw egg We went for lunch and it includes either free rice or free vermicelli. Also free tea (iced or not iced) per entree. As another poster said the beef broth is a bit grainy. Not sure why. So I'll give it a 3* The miso broth is pretty good. We enjoyed it quite a bit. So 4* on this dish. The tea is a bit sweetened. I am used to unsweetened but it's not overwhelmingly sweet. The pricing though is a bit steep. For the beef it's $19 and the miso $22. Also fyi for spice level, mild is basically not spicy at all for us. If you like heat level you can taste go higher. read more

We had a good experience at Tasty Pot in Dublin, CA. Arriving early, we secured a seat quickly and placed our order promptly. I tried their new Sizzling Beef with Udon noodles. While the dish was tasty, I would have preferred either more noodles or less sauce, as the barbecue sauce made it a bit too salty. A larger stone pot or higher temperature could also improve cooking. The service was fast and friendly, and the meal was reasonably priced at under $40 for three people. The restaurant was clean and decorated with many pictures of Taiwan. Do they give free entree for birthday?
No. They just have the promotion if you buy 10 pots you get one free.
Do they serve any kids menu or have anything for kids like just ramen?
Yes for sure we have udon or cooked dumpling if you like.
Does Tasty Pot use MSG?
Actually they dont. My friend asked the owner before, cuz she is allergy to the MSG. They cook the brooth with actually pork bone and veggie around 5-6 hours. Hope it helps you.
