Popcorn chicken came out after the soups. It wasn't as good as tapioca express or i-tea The sizzling beef udon and lamb soup was decent. The seafood flavor was really grainy like they didn't fully wash the mussels / clams or something. Overall, this was the hype when it first opened in southern Cali 10 years ago and now it's just taste like it gets the job done.
My sister recommended Tasty Pot because she said it was well known for its soup and good service, so we decided to give this location a try. Unfortunately, our experience at the Dublin location was extremely disappointing. We visited on August 8, 2026, at around 8:45 PM. We are a family of 9 and were just passing through the area on our way to our hotel. Since the restaurant's website states that the closing time is 9:30 PM, we thought we had enough time to have dinner, especially since this was our first time visiting. As soon as we arrived, however, we were told by the server that 8:45 PM was the last call for orders. We immediately tried to order as quickly as possible using the online ordering system because we did not want to inconvenience the staff. After placing our order, we were then told that green tea and other teas were unavailable, so all of our drink orders were canceled except for water. We understood that items can sometimes run out, so we let that go. The biggest problem was the service and atmosphere after we received our food. It was very difficult to get the attention of the staff because everyone seemed to be rushing around cleaning. We genuinely felt like we were a burden simply because we were still eating. What was especially inappropriate was that while customers were still dining, the staff began putting chairs up on the tables. I even took a picture because I believe management should be aware of what was happening. If the restaurant is still open and customers are still eating, this is not the kind of atmosphere customers should be subjected to. Even worse, it appeared that the AC was turned off while we were still eating, even though it was not yet closing time. With hot pot already being a very warm meal, we were literally sweating while trying to eat. After a long day of traveling, the last thing we wanted was to feel rushed and uncomfortable during dinner. We tried not to make a big issue out of it because we were tired and simply wanted to finish our meal and get to our hotel. But honestly, this type of service is unacceptable. I don't know if this is how every Tasty Pot location operates, but if this is specific to this branch, management really needs to address it and properly train the staff on how to treat customers who are still dining during business hours. Unfortunately, this was our first experience with Tasty Pot, and it will most likely be our last. We were hoping to enjoy the food and understand why my sister recommended it, but the poor service and uncomfortable atmosphere completely ruined the experience. With hot pot, the food is already hot enough. There's no need for the customers to leave with a boiling-hot temper because of the service. Very disappointing, and definitely not a place I would recommend based on this experience.
Been coming here since they opened way back when. Always get consistent, solid, filling meals here. Defo a go-to when we don't know what to eat for lunch. Bonus free tea with your pot when you dine in for lunch!! Japanese Miso best pot hands down. Tried beef today was also pretty good. Taiwanese flavor was alright. Popcorn chicken is always good. Looks like they added a staff member recently, which is super helpful. Friendly staff & efficient service.
Tasty Pot always hits the spot. They have many different soup options available. My friend and I ordered 2 different soups. It comes with varieties of meat, seafood, veggies, and clear noodles. They are both delicious. Be sure to use their bean paste and chili sauce to add a little extra spice for dipping your meat and veggies in. Will need to come back and try other soup and new dishes.
The food here is definitely on point! I love that you order through a tablet -- super easy -- and the sauces are already conveniently set at each table, so you don't have to get up. My only complaint is the service. The servers weren't very attentive when it came to refilling sauces or my water. Even getting extra napkins or the check took more effort than it should have. That said, the flavors and quality of the food make it worth coming back. If they could step up the attentiveness a bit, this would easily be a 5-star spot for me.
Seated for a party of 8 pretty quickly. Servers were strained but managed to do well with several large parties at the same time. Kid enjoyed sharing the beef pot and the sizzling beef rice and lamb pot were also good. $4.25 for a side of udon or cabbage but I suppose prices are just astounding now. Water and soup refills were plentiful. The bathroom needed attention though and isn't cleaned too often or at least, it wasn't when we were there. Only one stall was usable as the other one was just too dirty.
It's been a while since I've been to tasty pot as there's not one near my city. The wait was 5 mins and we were seated right away and they gave us a iPad to order. The servers are very attentive here. The food comes out within 10 mins. We ordered the miso Japanese pot and the beef hot pot. The spicy popcorn is so fresh and hot! Can't wait to come back again!
Have not been here for about 1 to 2 months. Still tasted as good as before. I especially like that in a hot pot place, there is a choice of sizzling plate and it is pretty good! The servers were very friendly and efficient. I spilled water all over the floor and the lady was very patient and quick to come to wipe the table and floor: special star for this! Parking was easy, right outside in the outdoor parking lot. Ambiance was casual, cozy and nice. Will come again if craving for beef pot or cheesy milk pot.
I love tasty pot! In a cold day, the lamb and spicy pot are so good. You have to come here to try the delicious soups.
Still coming here after all these years and happy to report the food remains solid. The broth is flavorful, ingredients are fresh, and everything comes out fast--just like I remembered. I usually go for the same Taiwanese Supreme Spicy hot pot, but the Herbal hot pot is a strong second. They haven't skimped on quality, and it's still a great deal with the lunch special that includes a drink. That comforting feeling of having your own little bubbling pot of goodness hasn't gone anywhere. Service has stayed consistently friendly and efficient. Staff check in regularly without hovering, and they're quick to top off your broth or bring out anything you need. It's clear this place still knows what it's doing. Still a fan, and still racking up those points!
Went to Tasty Pot with my partner for some tasty food. We have been a couple times before and it has been great every time. The restaurant is in the olferts center in Dublin with many other Asian businesses and ample parking. We came around dinner time on a weekday and there were a few people dining in with many open tables. We each got the beef rice hot plate and udon hot plate. They came out steaming where you have to mix them around to get the meat fully cooked. We ate all of our food, both were really good. We also got the spicy popcorn chicken. Very tasteful For drinks we got the black tea and Hokkaido milk tea with boba. Very refreshing We will definitely be back and recommend this place for anyone craving beef hot plates and boba!

Our first time at this location and we decided to go for lunch on a Thursday. Not too crowded. The inside was clean and the music was not too loud. At this location they let you order through an ipad, which is nice if you don't want to talk to the staff. We ordered the Beef flavored hot pot medium spicy and very spicy and popcorn chicken. Our food came out hot which I love. It was our first time getting the popcorn chicken and it was pretty solid. I also loved that in the hotpot there were huge slices of taro. At other locations it's usually just a small piece of taro. The staff were very nice and would serve us water and refills on the soup. I would come back to this location! :)

I came in with my friends to eat here and the service was mediocre, but I have been to many of their locations. They sat us, handed us a tablet, we ordered our meals and the food did come out quick which was nice, BUT when I was eating I saw something in my soup, I placed it in my bowl to get a closer look, which to my surprise, I saw a roach with its antena still moving. I tried being respectful and not cause a scene since there were families there, but they took a while to come over. When they did I brought it to their attention, to which they acted nonchalant towards. They didn't even bother to properly apologize and still tried making us pay for our meals that were barely touched. I'm so sad to have to leave this bad review, but due to their unfazed act, I had to say something. Very disappointed! :( read more

Cozy restaurant located in the Ulferts plaza. Great price and portions enough to satisfy two people. Started off with the spicy basil chicken. It could be spicier but I enjoyed the crunch and memories of eating this as a snack with boba. I came back for the sizzling beef plate with udon. My first time having this dish was much better. I realized that they didn't cut the beef against the grain which made it more chewy. The soup was the most tasty pot in my book! I liked the variety of seafood (fish ball, fish cake, shrimp, clams, mussel, and baby octopus). Quick and quiet service since you order everything online! read more

We ordered the basil chicken as a starter, and a cheesy milk hot pot and a Thai flavor hot pot for our dinner. The order is placed on a tablet, and the server comes by immediately to take away the tablet. He returned a few minutes later to drop off the rice and vermicelli noodles that we selected for the hot pot. The soup came bubbling hot, and it continued to bubble, as we were eating. I had to transfer small portions to my rice bowl to allow it to cool enough to eat. Both hot pots that we ordered were tasty. The Thai flavor had a lemongrassy tang to it. The cheesy milk flavor was rich, but needed some spiciness. There was an option to make it spicy, but I chose to keep it standard. I ended up adding some of the hot oil that was on the table, along with other sauces, which we used for the basil chicken. The chicken was good. Not overly battered but could have been a little crunchier. Overall, it was a fine meal, and I will be returning. read more

Tasty Pot opened in Jim's Taiwanese Cuisine's space years ago. Ambiance enhanced by a nightlife pic, little else besides new paint jobs. I RSVP the YEE, was waitlisted. Replying i may have ate here years ago the reason? Actually never did. Was at another place 5 years ago. Joined George F. As his guest, sharing popcorn chicken. Intended to pay for my hot pot, George insisted on paying. When the check was asked for, the waitstaff comped my meal. WOW! Thanx to Yelp for YEE, Tasty Pot for their great service & generosity, & George F. for offering to pay as well as being an entertaining, informative lunch associate. Ordering done on ipad. Waitstaff assisted. Too many options to pick. Staff did it flawlessly. Offerings: individual hot pot varietals, appetizers, sides, drinks... Eats: Popcorn Chicken -big chucks of tender chicken pieces with crispy skin. Juicy eats amongst the best. Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Pot. Medium spicy. -hot pot actually had superhot broth keep hot by sterno heat underneath. Only hot pot recently experienced with fire under pot. *waitstaff came every 5 minutes to refill water. Passed every time. Guessing adding water keeps broth less salty, less spicy/"hot". -contained 2 dozen+ ingredients: meats, seafood, noodles, veggies, offal, fried tofu etc. all. Broth deliz. Didn't taste hotness till i scrapped bottom. Spicyness got me coughly violently involuntarily. Pot very big. 2 pots, another entree & pop chicken Filled the table. Sip: mango tea was slightly oversweetend even at less sugar. The name says it all. A very tasty pot. You get so much in one pot. They don't skim on the ingredients. I would say it's almost a no contact service. You order through a tablet and you get your food pretty fast. Place is nice and clean and has many tables but this place can get busy. Everything looks good! read more
I met a friend here for dinner since we were craving hotpot but not AYCE. We could tell the staff saw us walk in, but it took awhile to be greeted and sat. I've been to other locations so I knew what I wanted- the Curry Flavor Hot Soup. We ordered on the tablet and got our food fairly quick, but our rice never came out and we had to tell 2 different employees we didn't get our rice. They seemed to be working very quick and efficient but not the friendliest. The food was consistently good but the service wasn't. read more

Tasty Pot in Dublin never disappoints. The hot pot was bubbling and full of flavor everything tasted super fresh and comforting. I got the beef combo and it was loaded with good stuff. The popcorn chicken on the side was crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, totally worth adding on! The staff were really nice and kept checking in to make sure we were happy with everything. Tasty pot has been my comfort restaurant since college. I would go to the Clement location but they unfortunately closed. The Dublin location is just as good and they have some different items that I had never seen at the Clement location. We got the Sichuan Spicy and lamb hot pot, the beef sizzling plate, and the calamari rings. All were yummy! For drinks we got the green tea and it was also very flavorful but not as good as the Clement location unfortunately. Definitely coming back again! read more

No. They just have the promotion if you buy 10 pots you get one free.
Do they serve any kids menu or have anything for kids like just ramen?
Yes for sure we have udon or cooked dumpling if you like.
Does Tasty Pot use MSG?
Actually they dont. My friend asked the owner before, cuz she is allergy to the MSG. They cook the brooth with actually pork bone and veggie around 5-6 hours. Hope it helps you.
