Tastea has always been one of my top boba spots, in general, since my first experience down in So-Cal. I love that they're expanding up here in here in Nor-cal but there still aren't any that close to me. Fortunately, I was in the area and decided to stop by before my trek back home. I came here during covid-times and distancing didn't seem to be an issue. The workers were really nice and welcoming. They set up tables and chairs to allow for a nice flow. It's very convenient because it's right next to a McDonald's so I can get a drink plus some chicken nuggets! The people who work there are also very nice. They will welcome you in all the time! Product is good but these guys keep getting orders wrong.They charge extra if you want boba on your drink but don't actually put it in your drink. You find out later when you get home. Frustrating. I don't know if it is intentional to upcharge you if you're in rush taking it to go. Or perhaps the workers are just incompetent. I was super excited to try this place as there always seems to be a line out the door so it must be good! I went in store and they have lots of good precautions for Covid. Unfortunately after string at the menu for 10+ minutes and finally deciding they told me they were out of Boba?!? It was 2 in the afternoon and a boba place was out of boba?!? I was super disappointed so I can't give this place more than 3 stars. It would have been nice to have a sign up before people got in line and spent time deciding. I got my son a lychee freeze which was tasty especially with little bits of fresh lychee but ultimately it wasn't what I came for. I usually get a matcha Thai and the first time I got it, it was delicious. However majority of the people working there are young kids and the drinks won't be as good depending on who's there that day. Many times after that it wasn't as good as the first time. Tastea is one of my favorite boba places and I love this new location. The drinks are a little bit on the sweeter side. I prefer getting 50% sweetness and it is perfect for me. I also really love the non-dairy creamer that they use in their drinks. My favorite drinks are strawberry milk tea and Matcha Thai tea. All of their toppings are amazing and I love the honey boba. During COVID-19 they have an app where you can order the boba for pickup and since March I have been doing this. I usually get their wintermelon green milk tea. I think the drink is quite unique. Usually I don't like milk tea, but the wintermelon adds a nice flavor. I also like how they let you substitute milk with almond milk, oat milk, and others for free. That seems unique for a boba shop too read more

I ordered Matcha thai milk tea with regular sugar level, and they gave me definitely a different drink with 20% sugar ( i'm not sure but it really light, i have to ask for more sugar). This is second time they made my sugar level wrong, both times was tasteless, neither matcha taste nor thai tea taste. I've tried their Matcha thai milk tea before, it was awesome which is really flavorful. Anyway huge plus is quick serve, have Stevia option and very clean store. After trying to politely ask for the status of drink from her, I walked up to the cashier on the other side (the cashier wasn't too far and he wasn't occupied but I wanted to be mindful just in case other customers walk in and actually have to order and pay) , he ended up telling me to go to the same spot where I was at earlier and was flat out ignored, but this time she immediately puts my drink out. She could have easily let me know "could you please give me a moment and I'll be right there", simply because her and her colleague were filling up the tea from a large container, but to ignore a customer and make them feel awkward is just something else. Now, I ordered 1 drink which is a small order and this review probably isn't worth it. My expectation was that I could ask someone at the pick up station and be out on my way without feeling awkward (as simple and quick just like how I prepaid online), but maybe because I didn't place a large order or something so I was treated this way? I'm not sure. I really enjoy going to the locations in Costa Mesa and Garden Grove but I understand customer service etiquette are unique to each location. Yummmm! There's finally a Tastea near me! It's right behind Lazy Dog on the corner of the plaza so there's always parking. I love that you can buy tea by the jug and their large is 32oz! I like getting the jasmine milk tea with oat milk and stevia. This is the only boba spot that offers substitutes for people who can't have dairy or sugar. It's basically guiltless tea. My first time trying Tastea and I was honestly really impressed. Their milk teas are really good. The tea flavor is strong and there are a lot of dairy and non-dairy milk options to choose from.The classic and the golden milk tea are both very good but my favorite drink would be the avocado avalanche because it's so smooth and creamy with the perfect sweetness! It tastes just like the Vietnamese avocado shakes I always get. Also, always add their signature green honey boba to all your drinks, it gives all your drinks that extra boost of goodness. This location opened up a few weeks ago. Since I live close by, I decided to drop by and get a few drinks. I placed my order through their app and was offered a free drink for signing up. I ordered a Thai tea, classic milk tea, wintermelon milk tea and strawberry sensation...all with honey boba and less sweet. The order was placed for pick up at 11:15am. I walked in the store at 11:10am and waited a minute before someone from the back approached me (even though there was already an employee literally in front of me). I told the guy that I was picking up my online order. He told me that the drinks were currently being prepared. I stood on the side and patiently waited for my drinks. No one was making my drinks! A few minutes later, the girl that was originally standing at the tea section, started making my drinks. My drinks were not ready until 11:17am. I actually showed up at the parking lot around 10:50am and the front door was wide open. I didn't walk in until 11:10am and there were no customers there. My order was placed on the app BEFORE the store opened for business (11am). From the looks of it, I was literally their first order. Anyways, when the drinks were ready, I grabbed them and headed home. I did a thorough wipe of the cups and straws before distributing to my family. In terms of taste, the wintermelon milk tea was just ok. I didn't taste much of the tea flavor and the color of the drink did not correspond with the picture online. The Thai tea and class milk tea were average. As for the strawberry sensation, it would taste better if they added more/some "dairy" in it. As the time went by, the strawberry purée literally floated to the top (separating from the liquid). The honey boba was perfectly sweetened and chewy and the drink had the right about of sweetness to it. As for the sticker that they put across the top of the lid...it wouldn't adhere to the lid due to the condensation from the melted ice. I'll definitely come back but I'll like to try other drinks from their menu. read more

I ordered an avocado avalanche from tastea on doordash because it was one of the few places open late. The avocado avalanche is basically an avocado smoothie. I also added the green mango bits, regular boba and extra avocado bits. Since that doordash order this has been my go to spot when im craving a cold boba drink. They have all sorts of drinks.
