Unassuming artisanal bakery serves up some exquisitely-memorable sandwiches, outstandingly flavorful and fresh salads, and scones and baguettes and quiches!! Is it the quality of the ingredients? Yes! Maybe the perfect breads? Also Yes. Equally important is the hayte cuisine chef configurations and combinations in each dish. The bakery is busy, and I have consistently found that the staff is agreeable, which means it is bakery/restaurant run well.

After walking past the bakery a few times while on walking tours, I decided to stop inside after my most recent one. It was a Lenten Friday though, so I chose the veggie quiche with mushrooms, spinach, and cheese. After taking a bite of the hot delicious slice then remembering its made from eggs (which I avoid during Lenten Fridays) I focused on my bean medley cup and lemonade lol smh. Staff was pleasant and answered my questions about the menu. The A/C was pumpin well but I moved outside for some fresh air at one of the benches. Although a little pricey, the quiche slice was worth every penny. I'll return for another!

Small friendly cafe where you order at counter and they bring to table. Self serve coffee and tea. Tasty iced tea with fresh lemons. Nice selection of sandwiches, salads and tartines. Indoor and outdoor seating. Salad Nicoise was generous with fresh greens, olives, roasted red peppers, boiled egg, palm hearts. The tuna was canned tuna slightly sweet. Perhaps used sweet pickle juice. It would have been MUCH better if an actual piece of fresh tuna. Realize this would make it more expensive but it makes a big difference. Steak sandwich also generous. Served on a warm crusty ciabatta bun. Spicy sauce. Plenty of meat. A side of bean salad. I heard their king cakes are good here but didn't sample.

This was a great little place. Hole in the wall with amazing food. Service was good. My whole family agreed the bread was the magic of this place. Has some room inside and picnic tables outside. Price was typical for what you pay for lunch these days. Also the homemade lemonade was fantastic. We will be back!

Tartine has delicious pastries. The croissant had lots of layers and was good. It is a little pricey. It is nice though.

Wonderful for breakfast, brunch and lunch. One of the best neighborhood places in the city. Key Recommendations? Breakfast--go with the fresh bagels and croissants. And coffee, top of the line lattes. Brunch: stuffed sausage brioche and two eggs--enough to share, if you are feeling generous Lunch: big fresh salads--great presentation even better taste. This coffee shop plus has much more, but start with those three and there's no missteps. Inside seating and patio seating--comfy. You order at the counter and everything is delivered to you. Only negative--street parking only but hey it's a neighborhood place. Relish it!

Alright to good sandwiches, salads and breakfast type items like bagels, scones, brioche and quiche. The coffee, tea and other drinks are now self-serve and on my last visit they seemed to be out of fresh coffee and had older lukewarm coffee that tasted watered down and blah. They used to serve great fresh coffee in a French press brought to your table but now the coffee is stored in a thermos you pump it out of. The ambiance of the inside just isn't inspiring to me while the outside patio is better in nicer weather. The location looks like somebody decided to open a restaurant next to their office and the parking is less than fun to deal with in the area. Most things here are probably around a three or four star when they are done properly but having bad coffee is just not an option in a joint like this. Seems like the quality has gone down here and gotten inconsistent. Granted I'm not much of a breakfast person so this is just not my favorite spot for breakfast, brunch or lunch but many folks love it. The baked eggs in brioche are one of the standout items here that you don't find in most other places in the area so you might enjoy sampling that. Overall they do offer some items that not many other places do while I'm sad the quality seems to have dropped off over the years. My video review of Tartine is here: https://youtu.be/DoevsLPTZ-4

Basic lunch spot in a no frills casual picnic table atmosphere. Food was fine. Service friendly. Good in a pinch. Not a destination.

Meat frittata

Awesome little breakfast/brunch spot tucked away near Audobon Park! We stopped in for brunch on a Sunday mid-morning and there were a few parties ahead of us in line. We waited about 10 minutes in line to place our order and sat outside on the patio. The inside is a little small but there are a few tables scattered throughout and more seating outside. We both got the meat frittata and it was amazing! I have never had a frittata where the egg was so smooth and fluffy and the piece was so thick! The broccoli was a nice added bonus so it wasn't all meat. It came with a little side of fruit. The slice is generously sized and even though I was quite hungry, I did not end up finishing it all. There are lots of items on the menu that looked great, I look forward to trying more when we return to New Orleans.

The staff kept things moving and were attentive throughout our meal. Taste: The menu is concise, which I liked, and there's truly something for everyone. I ordered the BBQ shrimp and grits, and it was hands down the best I've ever had. It was savory, flavorful, and very filling. My friend had the grits and egg bowl, which was also really good. The fresh juices were delicious and paired perfectly with brunch. Ambiance: The café has a lively brunch vibe and feels like a staple spot. It's casual, welcoming, and perfect for catching up with friends while enjoying a great meal. Overall Review: Two Chicks Café is affordable and absolutely worth the visit. Between the flavorful dishes and great brunch energy, it's a must-stop on your NOLA trip. I would definitely go back!!!

We checked into our nearby hotel a bit early in the day and was looking to hit the streets for a spot to get a chill/light breakfast, a coffee and maybe a cocktail. We found all the things at Luzianne Cafe. Whether you belly up to the bar or grab a table, both of which are first come first serve, you start at the counter where you order, pay and grab your table number. It appears that during busy times they allow you to sit first and order from the QR at your table, this is an assumption given the code to order at the table, but the sign at the entry directed folks to the counter to order before sitting. For breakfast, we got the breakfast biscuit which came with eggs, bacon and cheese, and sided it with grits. The breakfast sandwich was solid, eggs were a bit soft and grits were more mealy than we are used to, but I think that may be authenticity of the area more than anything. I opted for the three option omelet with onion, sausage and gouda plus a side of sausage links. The omelet, though odd sounding combination turned out to be solid. Maybe it was my options, but it was decently "one note" in flavor. I tossed a little hot sauce on and that helped. However, while the sausage links were not much to look at, they were tasty, with a nice snap to the casing and meaty inside. To go with our breakfast, I got a cold brew with a splash of almond milk while my partner embraced NOLA and started his day with a bourbon sour. Both of us enjoyed our choices! Service was friendly and helpful at the counter/bar. The food runner was nice and then another member, assuming the Manager, that stopped by to check on us mid meal. She was super friendly and nice. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and drinks at Luzianne. Minor things noted, mainly on the cook of the eggs, but nothing awful. It his the spot and checked the boxes!
