11/9/25- First really bad experience with a cashier named Michelle working lane 7 today. I say that it was really bad because she was making excuses as to why she couldn't perform her job duties. I had a store basket with the items I wanted to purchase and had placed it on the belt. Ive,I've, customers do this and when I use a basket I've done the same. I've never had a cashier tell me to empty the basket on the belt. They've either taken the items out themselves to scan or the tilt the basket sideways and scan the items items. Michelle told me to empty the basket because she couldn't lift the basket. She said that she was 55yo and didn't want to get injured on the job. I mentioned that I had disabilities also and in particular arthritis in my upper body and extremity joints. I'm in my 60's. Its strange that she couldn't lift the basket but had no difficulty lifting the backs onto the counter and lifti g the basket onto the floor. I did speak to Mgr Anne who stated that she would speak to Michelle's team Marson this issue could be discussed. read more

I always use self check-out where i shop because I have a fear of bad customer service. I saw a promo for $5 gift card if I bought over $30 worth of beauty products. I figure I got to get in a regular check-out line this time in order to get the gift card. 2 cashiers. 1 had a bit of a wait. So I go to the cashier that was an older gentlemen. When I got in line, I witnessed him taking his sweet time with the 2 ladies in front of me, chatting them up and talking about his granddaughter. A bit irritating but I wasn't in a rush so I'll be patient. By the time he was ready to give me any attention, there was no 'hello', no 'how are you', no 'sorry / thank you for the wait.' The first thing he said to me was 'do you need a bag?' Way to make an interaction awkward. I said 'yes, please' and proceed to ask about the promotion and whether i would be receiving that $5 gift card. He goes "I don't know. I won't know until I hit the button on the screen." Understandable if you don't know every single promotion that goes on in the store. But as he continues to process the transaction of my purchases and the screen prompts him to give me a gift card, he doesn't speak to me. He place the gift card on the check-writing counter. And as he was handing me my receipt - he turns to his co-worker walking by 'hey, lunch time?" Normally, when a cashier hands me my receipt, I'd say thank you. But the friendliness I saw in him with the other 2 ladies in front of me was not the same friendliness I experienced. Any average cashier would have been able to nicely and appropriately respond, "you do get a gift card. Here ya go! Have a nice day" No brainer! I grabbed the receipt without saying a word and walked out. If it wasn't for the gift card, I would have never lined up for a cashier. read more

Worst Target!! Bad and slow customer service! I've been here many times and watched workers and managers pass by customers that have been waiting for so long without acknowledging them. I've spoken to two managers and gave them feedback and felt like they were careless. Didn't apologize. This store is always a mess! Things are misplaced and mis priced. read more

I was just here with my bf, we're close to 40 yrs old (even though we dont look it), this old Indian lady was training a new cashier Fabian, and she asked who is paying for the bill. My bf said him, so she scanned his ID for the wine and beer we purchased, the end result is I paid with my card. The trainer says I cannot pay because she scanned his ID and therefore he must pay. So I asked if she wanted to refund my card and make him pay in cash to which she answered no it's not necessary but as future reference whoever ID she scanned that individual must pay. Wtf kind of bulkshit is this?!?! Some fucking new thing happened over night I am clearly not aware of??? Negative is the rating I would give them. read more

Cat and jack clothes have a one year warranty and the website says if you are clearly not satisfied for any reason you can get your money back. The individual store has a sign now saying it's basically not about not liking the problem only if there is an issue with the product when it comes to quality and workers now say it can not be returned if it has a hole or a stain. So my question you can return the item in a year and it can be worn and returned if it fades, shrinks or stretches but my kids can't get a hole or a stain in the product? So it has to be brand new but stretched out? What made up, non thought through policy is that? It is what it is and what your website says or the brand that stands behind it not an individual store with a tiny printed sign some manager put there to show some numbers. read more

I often feel like I should avoid Target altogether because it always seems disorganized and crowded, with a limited amount of checkstands open to serve endless customers. However, this review is actually a rave, believe it or not! There is a wonderful woman who ALWAYS seems upbeat and happy to be there. She is a white woman with brownish hair and glasses. About a month or so ago, I was behind a woman who had two small children, and a huge pile of stuff in her cart. I would have normally avoided that line or been in a rush, but this woman was so upbeat and fun, talking to the kids and dancing around. At one point, I even joined in and did a little boogie too. Ever since that day, I have been trying to get on her line whenever I can! I would also like to note that another checker, a petite Indian woman, always seems to have a kind smile and is very pleasant to me when I go through her line, too. She is very sweet and I enjoy being in line as well. I have a partial Deafness and Learning processing delays, so I would like to avoid interacting with strangers if I can, but these two checkers make it easier to shop at an overwhelming store full of busy customers. I haven't been in this target since way before the Pandemic. My memory of this place is that it's typically an unorganized mess.... but I was pleasantly surprised to see it was clean, organized, and a less chaotic shopping experience. They've rearranged the store, gave the cosmetics department an uplift, and had a good stock of holiday items to choose from. I'll be more enticed to shop at this location after this last visit! My favorite one stop shop for the entire family, you can always rely on target to fulfill everyone's needs! This location is for the most part pretty tidy and clean. An employee is always visible or easy to find. I literally go to target for everything at least 1 time per week!! When it comes to baby needs, Target has me covered, when it comes to pantry needs, they have it, toiletries, they definitely have it... kitchen needs, also there!! The bullseyes spot gets me in trouble, I tend to buy my daughters cute seasonal items here and kitchen towels or home decor pieces, $5 & under is hard to beat! I always end up with more than I came for when I shop at target lol! So glad we have one close by :) Forever a target shopper & I'll stay loyal! read more

These napkins were not cheap, but clearly there was no quality control. The sizes were different. The finish was uneven and the the square was more like a trapezoid. Some of the napkins had a plain stitch while some had a hole stich - two different napkins in the same pack. It is sad that Target can put out a product like this without any quality control. I bought 40 of these for a party and it was only when folding the napkins the night before that we came across these embarassing defects. To make matters worse the color on these napkins just bleeds profusely when washed in cold water. Again it does not seem like the buyer paid any attention to detail. I would be loathe to ever buying this product. read more

Terrible experience with their drive up..missing bag full of items and they won't answer their phones to address this issue...

Unfortunately, this Target was rather underwhelming. Not a lot to choose from like some of the others. It doesn't seem as clean and tidy.

In what Target should someone have to wait for a half hour to receive the help that they requested 3 separate employees. After 30 mins I had to grab a manager who gave me %X off my purchase for the wait. Frustrating but that's the only reason I didn't give a 1star review. Did not find what I needed ..so just grabbed two small items ..waited in the self check out which only had 2 open ...an associate called me over to check out and she had a hand held unit. CHECK THE DATE!!! Love the absolute hell out of Target and I'll still continue to shop here. The company/stores/convenience/merchandise/service/etcetcetc is an easy 5. But this review is solely for their stockers/pickers/QC. Today (08/31/2021), I did a purchase/pick-up for $250 worth of items... comes in handy when you have a cranky teething baby and don't have time to walk around and shop. 2 of the items I purchased were drinks. While stocking the fridge after we got home, I noticed the 2 drinks had a best by date of JUNE 2017!!!! I had to put my glasses on to see if I was reading correctly. Holy. That's over 4 years! With the amount of employees they have, how can they have missed THIS? I can maybe understand if it were just a few months- things can get overlooked and missed, sure... but 4 YEARS?! I know vendors send out their products long before the best by date- so, that means this product was in their stock room and on the shelves for sooooo long. I'm baffled and disgusted. I'm glad I looked before I cracked it open. 4 years is far too many. Now I have to go back to the store and be a Karen for the first time ever in my life. ~~UPDATE 09/13/2021: nearly 2 weeks later, I went back to see if any new ones were in stock... NOPE. I normally love shopping at Target. But the new store policies have made it incredibly uncomfortable to buy certain things. I went to purchase a couple of liquors for cocktail mixers and now that they're locked up, not only do you have to ask for help which can take forever, you feel like you have to rush your decision just to purchase something, when maybe I would have spent my time perusing and actually picked what I wanted. Then, not only can I not take it and purchase it with the rest of my stuff, I have to go hunt down the liquors to buy them at a different desk. This is a frustrating and embarrassing experience, when the alternative is hopping over to BevMo nearby and buying it for cheaper and without the embarrassment of feeling like a toddler or a crook. Otherwise, I normally love Target, but this Target store in particular feels like it's been going downhill for the last few years. The cocktail liquors are not the only change that has happened recently that has made it painful to shop there. The conviencience of the self checkout is also nearly gone. Most of the time there is only one open anymore, or it's closed entirely, forcing you to wait in long lines to do the regular checkout. It's also less clean and organized than it used to be. Target used to be the higher end version of Walmart, but its starting to feel more and more like it's just a more expensive Walmart, not a better alternative. read more

I used to love Target. They changed a lot of departments around a while ago--not for the best. Their biggest disappointment to me was the complete disarray of their womens' workout clothing department. No organization, no one trying to keep everything in order. I love target as a store. But the reason why I like it is convenience. Fast in and out with what I need. But I work nearby and come to this store 3 times a week. Every single time I come they only have self checkout and one register open but a long line of customers in every single register. Why don't they respond to the calls at checkout? Connected with West Valley Mall a very ok Target. Everything you need is likely to be here but lots was out of place and the store left more to be desired. Most burned into my memory from my last visit here was how lots of areas looked disheveled. Odd bits tossed here and there. An odd Starbucks coffee cup from the attached store stealthed in some shelf along with textiles. Even at the Starbucks today there was shaved bits of paper all over the floor. Thin brown shredded paper - the type that looks like you would find in a childs Easter basket. I believe this Target, overall is crucial to keeping West Valley Mall afloat. We moved to Tracy last summer while this Target was getting remodeled. My husband and I were not very impressed when we went inside during the remodel and honestly avoided going inside if we could. However, now that the remodel is complete I love going inside, checking the dollar spot and browsing the aisles. Everything is new, neat and the aisles are wide and I really enjoy the layout. The employees are also very nice and helpful too. I also use Target drive up a lot at this location. I have 4 children and two are still in diapers and it's not always convenient to shop with them. I love being able to place my order for diapers, wipes, medicine etc. and just drive up and get my items without having to unload everyone out of the car (or if someone is sleeping). They always get to the car promptly and with a smile. As a busy mom, this is a service I love and appreciate! read more

They have made returns for my registry so easy and customer service line is mostly long lately but they get through it fast- I have had the pleasure of being helped by a young man named "Kyle" who was super friendly and joking around with coworkers and made working there seem fun and helping a new coworker of His learn the register.. The manager Lisa just told me that this target follows other policies at guest services that most stores don't follow so she wasn't able to help me with what I needed. I don't know what is up with this store. Whoever does the ordering should be fired. There are so many random, poor quality items that are either out of season or just plain odd. This is very different from other Target stores. I have to give props to the manager of the women's department. I have a confession to make. Never have I ever bought groceries before at Target. No specific reason why, I just never associated going to target to get food when I'm really going to go aisle by aisle and look at all the miscellaneous things they have to offer. The food aisles were places I skipped unless it was to buy last minute, "oh since we're here we might as well get xyz." However, today we went with the intentions of filling our cabinets and refrigerator with all the food and drinks. So, we did and though it was pricier than we're used to spending, I found varieties of things that I've been looking for that are not at our local Winco. Yes, Winco has everything, but you try finding almond and coconut flour up in there. I dare you. Then send me a pic on my yelp message and prove me wrong. When I've gone, it isn't there. Target had various brands for almond and coconut flour! I'm like yes, finally. We had a great experience, the only thing we didn't find was liquid benadryl but only because they were out. So, we definitely plan on doing some shopping here in the near future for groceries in addition to miscellaneous things. read more

I have to admit...that I absolutely "love" this store! Maybe I'm a little biased because it is in a community that is great, but I think Target runs a great operation here in the Tracy area. The workers are always willing to go the extra 110 yards, no matter what they might be doing. The Customer Service team is always kind, & helpful no matter how busy they might be. The "only" issue that I might have with this Target Store is that they can at times be limited in what is in stock on the shelves. Hey Target Tracy...you are located in a Community that is growing by leaps & bounds, please have more Stock on hand. You not only serve Tracy, but Mountain House too, which is growing on a daily basis! Absolute fastest and best drive up order pick up. They are always basically in the parking lot waiting for me. I do drive up here instead of Walmart drive up. I've waited up to an hour before at Walmart, but NOT here. It's literally seconds sometimes and you are driving away with your order bagged up and ready to go. Doesn't get much easier read more
