I've been to four Burlington stores across the country. I don't care for them, but the older couple who own the house needed something and this was easier than Walmart with the locked cabinets. I looked for the items first, back and forth, and didn't see them. I saw someone messing with the clothes on hangers and decided to ask, since she wasn't wearing any uniform or name badge. "Do you work here? I'm trying to find..." and she was annoyed, as if I'm supposed to know that she works there. She looked in a direction and said "they're over there." That's better than nothing. I found what I needed to buy and got some other things. The amazing thing about this store is that it is organized. If you go to Westgate Mall in Saratoga or Great Mall in Milpitas, you'll know what I mean. You'll be lucky to find anything because you have to watch for clothes on the floor. The cashier was pleasant. Even security was pleasant when I entered the store. read more

Store itself it's really organized but wish their was good employees at this location.. I get that they close all the way until midnight and that they might be tired but when you choose a job is either because you need it or because you like working in customer service... I went in an hour before closing and I took my time looking I wasn't rushed until it was about to close, I went to pay and I heard most of the employees yapping about how much they hate closing and general working there until midnight.. apparently for them is cool to be scanning items and throwing them in the bag in a rude way because they are pissed that they have to do all of that when they get pay to work.. I stayed quiet the whole time while my items were being scanned and the whole time most of the employees were yapping about their job. It was so unprofessional to talk bad about their job in front of a customer. I believe they should keep that them self's or talk about it but not in front of customers. read more

Visited this location over the weekend for the first time in years. The store itself is pretty clean and organized for the most part. However the customer service/employees here alone made me and my family not want to return. There were plenty of staff working the sales floor. I counted at least 10. None greeted us or asked us if we needed any help throughout the entirety of our visit. Everyone had their AirPods in and disregarded any customers that walked next to them. Then you'd see the groups of staff messing around and laughing, again ignoring the presence of customers. The big issue for me though was when we went to checkout there was easily 15-20 customers in line at checkout and only one cashier working. The cashier had asked for backup numerous times and you could see she was getting frustrated at the lack of help from her coworkers. I work retail so I could understand if they were short on staff but there were plenty staff members out on the sales floor that were more than capable of helping and chose not to. After waiting 10-15 minutes another staff member finally came up to help ring up guests. She was not friendly or welcoming whatsoever. Definitely doesn't make you as a customer want to spend your money there. Because of my interaction with the staff alone, I will not be returning to this location. read more

One of the absolute worst story I have ever been in.. I got there at 9 o'clock when they opened and had to use the restroom, the restroom was totally destroyed and had not been cleaned in days... disgusting.. I asked them if they had any type of jerseys or 49er apparel, and the lady just pointed at the sportswear rack, they did not have one shirt or jersey for any sports teams at all.. This is by far the nicest, cleanest Burlington I have ever been to. The store is always stocked well and always smells good too. I would give this store 5 stars, but... Good store overall one of my favorite places to shop in Manteca they have a good selection to choose from. Not to mention great prices. I usually purchase ties , shirts etc. Although it can be a tad expensive compared to other outlets. One of the lady's handling my return was quite rude ( my reason for a 4 start) The women at the register are always great and on point. This store is organized and clean. I had low expectations because I have shopped at the Modesto location. But this store left such a good impression on me that I will travel the extra 15 mins again rather than going to the Modesto location which is 5 mins from where I live. This review is about the manager curretnly on duty. I didn't get her name but she's on duty right at this moment as I write this review 11/28/2021. I really hope that corporate office or HR takes my review seriously because this is regarding safety. I shopped there today. As I walked to my car after paying for my purchases I realized I was missing an item from my bags. One that I had already paid for. I went back inside to inquire. Those who tried to help me was helpful. They called the manager (a young lady with a long dark curly hair to help.) Immediately the manager implied that I wasn't being truthful and she had all the rights to make an accusation that the item was in my bag. In this case she was correct. She asked to go to my car to search my bags. Though, I agree, I was pretty pissed off because I don't like to be accused of anything, as far as Im concerned, I have nothing to hide. I already checked it and I didnt see it. So I agreed. When I walked her to my car, I took everything out of my bags that was in my trunk and sure enough, it was there. I made a mistake. The lady mockingly said "there you have it, you have an amazing day". She had all the rights to brag about what just happened, but the safety issue here is that, this young lady went outside to parking lot with me to search my bags and the whole time we were arguing with eachother. I was telling her I dont like to be accused and she was fueling the fire by saying if I don't act right, she will not help me. I could have been some crazy person out in the parking lot. She was alone with me. This manager, put her self in a very unsafe situation. She didnt ask a security guard to escort us, she freely went out with me with a very bad attitude. Once again, what if I was some crazy person who didnt want to be talked shit to. The turn out could have been different. This manager need better training. She shouldnt have went out there alone with a pissed off customer. She could have gotten hurt. Dear HR I hope you're reading this and take my review seriously, your staff could have gotten hurt because she made a very bad safety decision. read more

My wife bought a pair of shoes at Burlington and needed to return them because they hurt her feet after a few minutes of wearing. She had them a couple weeks before she could return them and could not find the receipt. They would not return, credit, or work with her in any way, so now she has a pair of shoes she will have to sell at a garage sale for pennies on the dollar. It is sad when a company will not take their product back when there is a problem and when their label is still on the shoes. We will not buy there again and suggest those reading this please beware of their weak policies. read more

I am new to Manteca having moved here from Chicago, IL 3 months ago. I finally got to go into this store and I was pleasantly surprised! My daughters and granddaughter are all plus sized women and this store has a very large selection of clothing to fit all of them and I now look here to find things to fit them, My only concern is the lighting is rather dimly lit. It would certainly make shopping there a lot nicer if that flaw was corrected to showcase the clothing. Our closes town is Stockton( I know) So.. that is usually the Burlington I go to.. but yesterday I decided to go out of my way a bit and travel here to Burlington in Manteca.. I did NOT have high expectations.. just figured it wouldn't be as packed.... Walking in I was VERY SHOCKED ! It was CLEAN, ORGANIZED, friendly/helpful staff... and just over all NICE ! They have great deals.. and just about everything.. To me its very similar to TJ Maxx.. but just a bit cheaper and better deals.. I was very impressed.. and WILL most definitely travel the extra miles to come here.. Merry Christmas y'all !! read more

The service here is not good. I don't know if I came on a bad day or what but the service sucks. one of the associates that was working the fitting room was very rude and snatched clothes from my cousins hands that she decided not to get. I did buy a pair of knee high gladiators and by the time I got home and put them on, they started falling apart, can you say cheap? Not my kind of store. And when I went to go return them I had to wait in a long line just to get told to go to customer service to return them. read more
