Not only that, not sure if it's because it's a Saturday, but the security guard at the front kept following me and my cousin. Calm down, you are doing way too much for $15/hr. I have been going to this Home Goods location as long as it has been opened in my hometown. I have had a few problems here and there, but never a bad experience. However, today (10/20/25 around 12-1pm) was quite a weird and negative experience. I understand that inventory is being moved around and restocked, considering the fall holidays rolling in. Nevertheless, when the associates are getting really close to your customers without an "excuse me" or heads up is not so friendly. I had make sure to leave enough space to not interfere with their work or path of action, but that same consideration was not being reciprocated from the associates. I was even close to being hit with a folded cardboard box that an associate had in hand as I was standing and looking at the fall party decor. The associate didn't even apologize or acknowledge me. It just left a really bad taste being treated like this. I may be a small person but I still deserve to be treated with the same equal space as the other customers have. Shopping here has never felt so uncomfortable. read more

I do love HomeGoods. I really do. But with my crippling anxiety, it can get VERY overwhelming because there is just SO MUCH STUFF. I had came here with my mom looking for Diwali decor. We usually go to Stockton because they normally have a slightly bigger selection. We walked in and, omg, HALLOWEEN DECORATION GALORE. I've been on this Halloween decorating stint. They had so many cute decorative skulls, skeletons, pumpkins, snakes, and so much more! I needed EVERYTHING, but I had to refrain myself. They had a small selection of Diwali decorations. Literally, one end-cap. But we made off with a quite a few things. For a small selection, they actually had some decent things. I had my eye on this Halloween wine glass, but of course in HomeGoods fashion, it was cracked and the only one available. *sad face emoticon* I got away with some cute Diwali decorations and a couple of YETI colsters for $15 each *!!!!!*. The line was long, but the service was quick. We didn't have to wait too long. Anyways, it was a successful HomeGoods trip! read more

Apart from inevitably knowing you'll find SOMETHING to spend money on, you never know what you're going to find here. Right now the first section of the store is filled with pots, planters and outdoor furniture. Some of my favorite things. The prices weren't what I would consider bargain this time around, but still some good finds because of the variety! I came in looking for a few specific things. A side table, possibly a floor mirror and a rug. Found a few good steals (see photos below) on side tables and mirrors. This beautiful arch mirror is double the size and quality yet the same price as the World Market ones. Highly recommend. Did I buy what I came for? Nope. Just a bunch of other things. Homewood do better with who you hire as managers. This store is a mess. Trip hazards everywhere. Damaged items. I found a damaged item and asked for the typical 10% off and the manager Joann gave me a $1.00 off. She was rude and not even personal as well. My cashier Emily was very kind but I can tell Joann makes for a hostile work environment. This isn't my typical store and I'm thankful for that. read more

Oh my.... Well let me start by saying we love shopping at HomeGoods. They have a ton of cute decor for your home. I like that they carry very affordable kitchen gadgets! I found a beautiful Le Creuset bakeware for $30 that is sold at a kitchen store that I love to go to for $69...awesome deal, don't you think? Lol Anyways...I would give this particular HomeGoods a 4 star for carrying some really nice items that our local HomeGoods does not carry, but this store was a HOT FREAKING MESS! I got really dizzy to the point where I wanted to just leave. So disorganized and products on the floor was really a big turn off. We may go back just to get the few items that we saw and liked but basically run in and grab the items and get the heck out of there! read more

I go here for one thing and one thing only. Wait, I lied, I do go here for one thing and that were the skinny syrups, but I always ended up lugging big bagful of stuff I think I needed. They always have great deals and if you don;t snag it right then and there, you'll be very sorry. Their clearance sections are also delightful, but beware of opened merchandise and always check that the contents are all there. Customer service is always pleasant and they're friendly. Browse around and you'll see what kind of goodies you can fill your basket with. read more

This new addition to The Marketplace Shopping Center opened just in time for Thanksgiving is like a cross between TJ Maxx and Marshall's, just a little bit more organised. The selection of items is a somewhat mixed bag - Food items, Kitchenware, Clothing, Christmas Decorations and Pet goods. The Christmas Hampers in particular caught my eye and are currently up to 60% off and they have a large amount of Christmas decorations on special right now too.. Considering I went on Black Friday I didn't see many staff members which given the season I do think they need to improve on but otherwise a fairly good addition to the area. read more

I came here to buy a pet stroller and I got one that did not have the price but I really liked it. We spoke to an employee who was tagging items and asked what's the price. They didn't know so they stated that they can price match to a different stroller that's similar. Keep in mind there's no other stroller like the one I liked. Well it was priced for 69.99. We go to the register to pay and right away the cashier said that this isn't the right price. We go back and forth about the price. I told her did she look in her system to verify what's the price of this item and she said she cannot find it. So I asked her then how does she know the price? She said because she does and that they are typically over $100. Of course I asked how does she know that if it's not in her system? We are going back and forth until I asked for a manager because she said it's $100 and won't sell it to me for 69.99. Turns out she's the manager and knows her stuff supposedly. Well if she did, she would know the price of the untagged stroller. She was trying to price match with another stroller not even similar to the one I got. It was $100 and something. She said her employee did not price it correctly and will talk to them. But how does she know if it was or wasn't if nothing in her system showed up with a price? Make it make senses. So I search it up on google and turns out there's a special for it and it's 69.99!!! On Amazon and Chewy! She stated well it's on sale so.. It's still $100 and cannot sell it for less than what it is. Well on the sites it shows the regular price and it's $89.99. She was trying to charge us more than it truly is. I thought homegoods was supposed to be cheaper than the retail price... At the end of all, we got it for $69.99 and were told that this will be the only time they will do this. But why... if clearly she's in the wrong. Trying to up charge more than it is. Stating it's a certain price because she "knows" even though it's no where in their system. So how does she know? The person who helped us said that they would literally price match it to the other stroller that looks similar since there's no tag... Manager stated that they don't honor the price tag on there. To summarize, please be careful what you buy from here. Because you are most likely getting over charged. I had to waste my time going back and forth with the manager. read more

So many mis-matched items. One odd chair. A wobbly couch. I suppose this is a Martha Steward types dream come true. I'm just not the type to buy problems - and that is exactly what your doing if your don't just go ahead and buy a set. I don't understand how they don't have a dining room set available... let alone four matching chairs. I know they get a bunch in at one point in time or another... why can't they bundle more matching sets or at least two chairs? How about bundle and sell as a set two matching lamps? This particular location does have lots of rugs - lots in inventory. I think this is a great place to go if you want a rug or a few interesting pillows. If your interested in furniture go ahead and walk into a more designated furniture store. Overall a pleasant shopping experience. You've heard the expressions "What you see is what you get" and "truth in advertising". Well, both of these apply here. The store is called HomeGoods and it sells goods for your home - every room of your home, and even the garden, too. I tend to spend the majority of my time in the kitchen and dining sections which contain every kitchen gadget you can think of, pot and pans, full sets of dishes, glassware, even a smattering of gourmet food items. But they also have very well stocked bath and bedroom departments. Wait... I forgot to mention the workplace department. They even have an entire section devoted to decorative throw pillow and garden items. And lamps... they have plenty of lamps. And rugs, too. Pets? Yep. Toys and decor for the wee kiddos' rooms? Uh-huh. Seriously, if it makes your house look prettier or more functional, you can probably purchase it here. And the prices are VERY competitive. VERY. I spend a lot of time shopping at HomeGoods stores all over California. This particular store is definitely one of the nicer ones. It is clean and the shelves are kept well stocked. There is also the issue of convenience. It is located just blocks off the 205, next door to WalMart. I found several items here including several Halloween themed items from their seasonal section. This HomeGoods is ticking off all the boxes for me. I will be back next time I am headed up to the Bay Area. read more

The new HomeGoods is a delightful place. I was actually greeted at the door by a staffer and offered a basket. That's not something I expext on a Wednesday morning. I also had at least two more staffers chat with me as I checked out the store. Sometimes when a bunch of retail staffers descend on you, you feel pressured and it's annoying. That wasn't the vibe I got. They just seemed happy to be there. The lady at the register was nice too. They had a nice selection of holiday food stuffs (Coffee! Candy! Cookies!) as well as decor items, wrapping paper, cards, and holiday baking supplies! They also had cute baby things and lots of gitables. I am not sure I would ever go there for something specific, but if I needed a present or was just looking to spruce up the house, this place would be perfect. They also don't seem to get a lot of anything. If it's unique and you like it, buy it then or you might loose out. I like giving presents. This will be one of my go to stores in Tracy, especially since Tuesday Morning is gone. On a side note, HomeGoods partners with St. Jude Children's Hospital each holiday season. You have the option of adding a donation directly to your purchase, which I did. I also saw at least one other item for sale, a selection of snow globes, that also benefit a charity. I believe in giving back and it was refreshing to see they have embraced ways to make it easy for customers to do. They got an extra star just for that. read more

The first impression is the one that lasts. The first impression here is disappointing. The entryway is often dirty and the lone trash can overflows. Shelves are often in disarray and the aisles narrow. Help on the floor is nonexistent. Lots of stuff on the shelf is damaged, wrongly paired, misplaced. I a little housekeeping would go a long way. Don't get me wrong, I love this store. It doesn't deserve to be this grungy. read more

Uh so...new favorite store in Tracy! If you are familiar with Tracy retail development, you tend to be super disappointed when new stores open. They are never "big enough" or "offer good selection". That is one reason why I hadn't bothered to come here yet. I was killing time and decided to just check it out. Ok, I'm officially impressed. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. And then a couple more times by other associates on the floor. Now if you have a problem with seeing too much of things at once, or if you are an organizer by nature, this is probably not the store for you. Not to say that it's messy (because it's totally not). It's what I would call a "mixed bag of goods". So while you may see one thing in one aisle, you may find the same thing (maybe in a different size) in another. And you have to be okay with that. Just breathe. I was rushing to get someplace else, so I only had 20 minutes. Now I know that to truly appreciate everything they have, I will need more time in the future. I found something I've always wanted that I didn't know I wanted until I saw it. And a few more things that I will save for my return trips. You can find a ton of options here for housewares stuff, such as sets of dishes, glasses, contemporary art pieces, gadgets, and two aisles (or was it 3..) of food items. I actually found some organic, gluten-free chocolate cake mix...impressive. I don't necessarily eat gluten-free but I was so curious, I bought it. Go HomeGoods for stocking some organic stuff! I can't speak for the rest of the store, but I know there was a linen section and bath as well. I'll go back soon to venture to that side of the store. I was impressed with how they turned the ugly old Staples into a bright and welcoming home store, and the selection of products was surprisingly thorough with tons of stuff in each category they sold from. I was really surprised at how many damn candles they had, hundreds of different types organized by color... the store is new, so it'll inevitably get disorganized as time goes on, but now it's a pleasant place to just look around. read more
