Every single time I go into this dollar tree it is a mess. Female employee sitting down in a chair on her phone, with her register light turned OFF. Very frustrating the other day there's a HUGE line in the store, mind you it's EXTREMELY hot outside and we all just wanna pay for our things and leave the establishment. The cashier on duty calls for backup and the manager is siting on their phone in the aisle ignoring the fact the line is going to the back of the store. Highly unprofessional. Very frustrating as to the fact your employee is already overwhelmed and we are all ready hot and annoyed ourselves. DO BETTER DOLLAR TREE. 10/7/24- This is for the environment/atmosphere. Looks like their air conditioner broken again. Since the average wait time in line is usually up to 15/20 min, it is not comfortable. I'm not sure how this is OK for food safety. We were going to buy bread, but the bread loafs were warm, just sitting on the shelves. They don't bake bread in store, so they shouldn't be warm. Bottled drinks were warm to the touch. OSHA really needs to inspect this place, especially for making their employees work in this heat wave condition. This dollar tree is constantly a mess with crazy lines. It's great for quick party decorations or snacks but that's really it. I stopped by and half the shelves were empty. We were able to get some snacks and kids bag stuffers for new years but that was really it. The prices are getting comparable to regular stores and doesn't really have the dollar feel anymore. The store was extremely hot and had the doors open. There was also a large machine running in the middle of the store hooked up to the ducting. I'm not sure that anyone walks into a Dollar Tree with super high expectations. A dollar store or a dollar store, right? Some are cleaner than others, maybe one slightly larger than the next. This one is a solid medium sized location with relatively clean and organized shelves (mostly.) The ice cream freezer was a bit of a mess today, I opened it thinking I would splurge for a sweet treat in this heat. Most of the boxes holding ice creams were empty. There were a few hiding behind the boxes, and some off brand ones that looked out of place and freezer burnt, so I decided to pass. My "must have" purchase from here is cards. Hallmark brand cards, 2 for $1 vs $3-6/ea anywhere else. They're a great deal and always have an ample selection. The only other suggestion I'd have if you plan to stop in here is that the store is not temperature controlled the same as most. It's warm in here, so come early to get your dollar store staples and you'll be fine. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but this experience was so bad I had to. I went to this Dollar Tree around 6:30 pm, and the store was packed. The line was already about 10 people long, with just ONE cashier working her tail off while the manager sat in the office doing nothing. By the time I was next in line, the customer ahead of me asked for 10 balloons. Of course, the cashier had to stop and fill them, while 20+ people stood there waiting. This poor girl was doing everything she could, clearly overwhelmed, while the so called "manager" came out of the office just long enough to bug her about something never acknowledging the massive line or offering to help. Then she just walked right back into the office. Seriously? This is TERRIBLE management. What kind of leader leaves an employee stranded like that? It's chaotic, it's unprofessional, and it leaves both customers and employees frustrated. That cashier deserves a raise for keeping it together, but the management here is absolute garbage. If Dollar Tree actually cares about customers or staff, they need to hire managers who are willing to step up instead of hiding in the back. read more

This use to be such a great store. Now the employees are not very friendly and I just got ballon's here and by the time I got to my car one was losing air. They are the big ones so $5 each. The mgr (I think) said that's just the shape (not true I get ballon's here all the time) and if he put more air and it blows up that's on me, they won't replace it. Very poor customer service and not as organized as it used to be. Maybe new management?! Sad I come out of my way to come here but I don't think I will anymore. read more

Dollar Tree was never really on my radar as being a "good" store until about 18 months ago where I'm pretty sure I had an "Ah haa" moment. I now come here for all crafting supplies and whatever else I struggle to find locally because they rotate items seasonally and always have something new. I did a complete overhaul on my Baking pantry with food storage containers and baskets from here saving myself $$$ and love that they have my favorite nail polish for half the price of anywhere else. Top finds: Storage baskets with handles. Old school candy jars. Ring binders & office supplies. Storage cubes (the good 9" ones!) Just been to dollar tree a few months ago on Tracy Blvd. Cashier don't greet you and they charge you for the bag without asking you if you needed a bag and just charge me for it. I had just bought 4 little items and I never asked for a bag. Since covid 19, most stores either give you a free bag without charging you or they'll ask you if you want a bag. This cashier Ed wasn't the friendliest one. Doesn't even thank you for shopping at that store. This is the worst bag I've ever seen. It's like it's been chewed over and over. This dollar tree is awesome. We've came here even the last two weeks on the 7th & the 18th to get my kids their birthday balloons. You can buy most things here for $1.25. They have tons of stuff. Birthday balloons, many selections of them also. Endless candy, snacks to buy. They also have tons of household items, including kitchen utensils, cleaning supplies. They also have hangers, decor, & tons of other household items. We're for sure Dollar Tree regulars. read more

Definitely just an average Dollar Tree. Definitely on the smaller side but they do fit a lot in there (but not as much as I've seen in larger locations). They do lack in the book selection, I like to get activity books and small wooden books for my two little boys at Dollar Tree but this location barely offers either of those. Also during the holidays their holiday selections were seriously lacking compared to other Dollar Tree's I went into during the same time of year. I love Dollar Tree decorations so that was very disappointing. They do have an okay selection for arts and crafts supplies and household items. Also plenty of good snack items as well. But again not the best I've seen. It is the closest Dollar Tree near me now so I deal with it, but when I'm back home in San Jose at my old Dollar Tree I stock up since I never know if this location will have what they do. read more

I've been going to the Dollar Tree for years, and throughout the years you see the evolution and progression of style and products. Lately, I have been pleasantly surprised to find a few things that I would not have expected them to sell given it only being a dollar--it looked like it might have been a more expensive product from elsewhere. I also found out they sell Mama Celeste pizza and I've been looking everywhere to find this pizza. Low and behold it was stocked in the back freezers. My items were on the conveyor, turned around for a couple of seconds while the cashier processed the customer ahead of me. Alyssa didn't want to help this guy so she told him to get in front of me. I was annoyed! Alyssa turned around and yelled at me in front of customers, "You were not supposed to leave your stuff there!" What?? It's a dollar tree where everything made in china is sold and very cheap. Don't expect to get a high quality merchandise, you get what you paid for. Great bargin shopping for those little things you need. They also have a wide variety of party supplies depending on the season. If you need to wrap a gift and need a bag or even mylar balloons this is your place. It's a dollar store so don't expect the best quality but you will be suprised you can find treasures like crazy glue and high end lip glosses for a buck. There is also arts and craft supplies alot cheaper then Michaels. In the back they have a frozen food section with smaller amounts of name brand foods. I just wrote a 99cent Store review so I had to do this one too - out of the 2 stores in town, I prefer the Dollar Tree. Seems like they have better stuff , and the management there hires nicer, more intelligent people. I was just there the other day and they had tons of great Halloween stuff. Stuff I always get while I'm there: Lemon Italian Ice cups- 4/$1 , chocolate covered pretzles, and soap, and my son always gets one toy . :) read more

I really like their ARTs and Crafts section. It beats going to a craft store. I say anytime your kid has a project hit up the Dollar Tree 1st then go and spend the big bucks at the ARTs store. I also really liked some of their hair products. It is very organized and clean. The store is kept up well. No one is to good for the Dollar Tree. Don't expect the products to last a life time, remember it was only a dollar, but they still got some good deals! Come on check it out! read more

Terrible customer service. Every store has its own policies and as a customer those are not always clear. When conveying these, managers and employees should do so in a calm, friendly and helpful way. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with a manager named Lorena. She was curt, rude and so un-friendly. There are so many dollar stores. There is no reason I need to go somewhere with an employee who has no education or class. read more

Went in last night about 15 minutes before they close, I spoke with one of the workers on the phone ( possibly a manager?) and he told me that I can come in. I just needed to grab something quick. When I walk in there is a Latina woman who is doing cashier and she screams at me saying "we close in 10 minutes!!" As if I didn't know.. it was very unpleasant coming into a store with a screaming employee. I'm doing my shopping quickly I was done before even 2 minutes but about 3 to 4 other shoppers come in and you can hear her from across the store saying "we close in 10 minutes!!". As I'm done grabbing thing for my nieces graduation I set my things on the counter so she can start ringing me up since she's so in a hurry to get out... Well, I waited about 2 minutes for her to start ringing be up because she was on the phone, looked like she was checking her instagram?? As she starts ringing me up she's scanning my items and like she's sighing while doing it like she was upset. A elderly man comes in, she she ones again screams "were closing in 5 minutes!" And the elderly man says, " so does that mean I can't come in?" And the worker says "no, you can but, we close in 5 minutes.." and the elderly man said " okay, then greet me like how j needed to be greeted." And she had the nerve to say "fucking old men." In front of her long line of customers including myself. I was just so fed up. So, that's when I decided to give her some feedback and I told her " if you're so very unhappy with your job then maybe you shouldn't be working here." And then she decided to blow up on me and tell me that I'm just mad at her cause she didn't give me a bag. And on and on she went. A lady who was there before me had a cart full of things and she left, met me outside and told me that she's been waiting for someone to approach her like that cause the employee was so rude.. Honestly, this store is great for things that I need at that very second. I buy my kids arts & crafts supplies here and it works great for us. They are always stocked up and basically have everything, even freezer food! However, the associates are not as friendly. I sometimes hold back from saying things because I am the type to say something mean and feel bad after. But the associates here really test your patience sometimes and their attitudes... (I'll just stop there). The products there are not going to be top products, you are paying dollars for them, but they are useable and you can do DIYs with objects to tweak w- it. I have been going in here off and on since this place opened. I am sparked to write this review just based on my recent visit and the overall "condition" of this store. Usually, this place seems a bit cluttered and messy in some places. I know it IS a dollar store. However, I noticed that this last time the placed looked MUCH better. Everything was neat and organized. I have never seen some of the sections so full and tidy. The front of the store looked as inviting as I have seen a dollar store look. I went into Dollar Tree tonight and I could not believe how RUDE the manager, Tyler, behaved. I was looking at a Mylar ballon and was pulling it down so I could get a better look at it, when he yelled across the room for me not to touch it. I was mortified! The store had a lot of people in it and they were all now looking at me. I do not like to have attention drawn to me and I hardly knew how to respond to this attack. Apparently, this was a display balloon only, and I needed to ask for him to inflate one, if that's was the balloon I wanted. I think Tyler needs to go in for some training on how to properly interact with his customers, what he did was uncalled for and I will NOT be shopping there anymore. read more

i had a incident i came picked up my items and was standing in for awhile because as usual on checkout..didnt complain and then this old man impatient...and there was a lady already at the checkout with alot of items...so i was standing in line waiting and there was gap because i have anxiety in which i respect the next person to have their space...but the older white man didnt agree...so he was telling me to move up and i replied when the lady is done i will...and she was not done...so he kept telling me to move i said no...wait ur turn so he took upon his self to cut...then I said i was next and then the older woman i guess was the manager said i was being rude to him...i said how,,,she was telling I heard how you were talking to him...so then the other manager came and open the line for older man...which i thought was disrespectful...the i got mad and started telling the lady i didnt move up because i have anxiety she said so what you where still rude that man...and then the other manager said that is not a disability i said yes it is....and then manager told me i have anxiety too... then he would not checkout my items...i was yelled at in front of other ppl and humiliated and treated disrespected to the fullest... read more

Great stock, friendly and patient cashiers. Only reason for a 4 star is that sometimes you'll find yourself stuck in a line.

They manage to do quite well despite the funky location. You can find just about anything you need here, and I've never seen them run out of stock. My wife and I mainline a lot of their supplies for our business (stickers, tape, toy giveaways, cups/plates, etc.) and they're usually a bargain. read more
