The sales clerk's are like not consistent with their jobs or maybe lazy,after your purchase they are suppose to remove every alarm tag on everything thing bought before packing,but no they don't,they just shove everything in the bag and when going out the alarm starts beeping as if you stole the the item,this is not right they need to do something about it. read more

I came to this Ross & purchases about 200$ worth of merchandise I went out to my car and going out it beeped but the staff said it was jewelry something told me to check in my car and guess what a tag on the blanket I bought, then I came back in and told them there was a tag and the security says I need the receipt then ran to my car grabbed the receipt and she took it off ! Then I noticed I bought 3 curtain rods I was charged for 4 so I came back in and was told by the security I have to re stand in line and it was super long like why do I have to restand in line when I did that and this was the staffs fault smh so not coming back !!! read more

I came into Ross on Halloween to get a white dress shirt, which they had. What they also had was 2 checkers for a line of 40 customers on a Saturday. Listen, I get times are hard with the pandemic, but you need to be able to have better & quicker methods to get your customers in & out faster than that, at least on a Saturday. I can see having 2 checkers during the week, even cutting weekday hours way down, but on Saturday? That's your busiest day of the week I'm guessing, you gotta have more than 2 people checking people out. read more

I am an avid shopper of Ross but what I saw last time cannot be unseen nor hidden from the public eye. I had the displeasure of witnessing my favorite worker get farted on by an elderly woman. For no reason. It's also just messier than a toddlers playroom for some reason. read more

I try to steer clear of the shoes here just because they seem to slap a brand name on a regular shoe and consumers overpay for a name brand shoe that isn't that. On a positive note though, I do like grabbing clothes from here when I do see a good price for a good find. I recently went with no intention of buying anything but left with a really cute burnt orange tank top jumpsuit for $10. It was a little on the thin material side, but still pretty cute. I also found a lightweight, yellow rain jacket for $10. I definitely grabbed this, I had been waiting to find a lightweight yellow jacket! Comparing this store to many other Ross in the surrounding areas, this one lacks inventory. There are many empty spaces on shelves and racks, making the store appear less appealing to the shopper. It also lacks name designer brands that we're accustomed to seeing at discount prices here. Quantity and quality 2/5. Customer Service was non-existence. read more

Saturday night I lost my car keys in the store. Your employee would not allow me to look for my keys. I was left in the cold for several hours all alone at night. My kids were left alone because i couldn't get home. I live 35 miles away.This is unacceptable. The staff literally walked out and didn't even look my way, at that point I had been outside for an hour. I was stuck outside until 3:30 am in the cold. The staff offered no assistance of any kind. I should have been given time to find my keys. This so wrong on so many levels and the staff should be ashamed. Yesterday I returned and found my keys in 15 minutes. I need someone held accountable. Well the times I've been here when it was inside the mall near the Target, it would always be messy and the place was just overall unorganized and not clean due to it being so messy. Look... when you go to Ross, you expect unorganized and messy. This store in particular in the last few months has been horrendous. I think there are more clothes on the floor than on the rack. You would have to close the store for a day and a team of 500 people to get it into a shopable condition. Very disappointing as it's one of my mom's favorite places to shop for her size. read more

This is generally true about Ross but this location sucks. Their managers both Christina and Ana were ruthlessly discourteous and absolutely rude for a simple return. You wonder wonder what happened, we're they crazy or was I asking for some favor? None of that. It's just the store attitude and their sole objective of "processing transactions" fast rather than solving for customer problems. I reminded them that their associate said the goods would be returnable and they said it's tag number is incorrect so they can't return. I love going to Ross if they have a nice selection that I can go through and go loco, but this one was a tad letdown for me. Their store is clean and service is nice but the selection is disappointing. I love to scour for new workout clothes and this store only have one rack of them and it's not even enough for me to splurge one because of their lack of selections to choose from. Though the updown is that some departments ie. kitchen, linens, etc. have a good amount of merchandise that I can go through. IM NEVER SHOPPING HERE AGAIN. THE GOOD DEALS ARE NOT WORTH THE NON EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. G I bought shoes from here as a gift and accidentally got the wrong size, so today I went to exchange them for the right size. One of the associates "helped" us and said the receipt was wrong and didnt match the item (which is impossible because I kept the receipt with the item the whole time since I wasnt sure of the size) she then proceeded to speak with another associate as if I wasnt there saying maybe I didnt even buy the item from the store! Like I was lying to them or something! They continued to talk over me and cause a scene in front of the other paying customers until a manager came and upon hearing the situation told them to process the exchange. But that didnt stop the sales associate from being rude! She went on to talk down to me saying that the only reason she was doing the exchange is because her manager told her to. I was livid upon leaving! One of the managers apologized as I left but the damage had been done, Ive never been so insulted or embarrassed! GO NEXT DOOR TO MARSHALLS INSTEAD! I come here occasionally because sometimes they have some really good deals but the employees are rude most of the time. They have no customer service skills whatsoever. The Livermore store is probably the best store when it comes to cleanliness, organization and if you're expecting some courtesy from these service people. They also create their own rules about holding items. I've held a whole basket at their Livermore and Manteca locations but the Tracy will allow you only 6 items. I guess they are trying to lay down the law to make up for the fact that this is the dumpiest Ross nearby. Do me a favor? Go to Marshalls next door instead! read more

I arrived at your store just before opening 8 am on Dec.29,2021. The crew that were working at that time were very rude and acted as though I was interrupting their social hour. I was waiting to purchase an item as there weren't any cashiers at the register. I simply said outloud doesn't anyone work here and the security girl told me that someone will be here in a few minutes as they just opened. Let me remind you this is at 8:25am and I was told they were in back doing books to open. Um, excuse me But you opened your doors at 8am you need to be ready to work regardless of the situation be it needing help with a purchase or return. All 3, yes 3 employees were rude and acted like I was bothering them as I needed to make my purchase. I wanted to ask to speak to their manager but the problem was one of the rude people was the manager. I would like to add that when I go into your store I am aware of one of your frontline managers Lisa, who is always kind and helpful. Unfortunately Lisa was not there at that time. I think I will take my business elsewhere if you are going to continue to hire rude disrespectful employees who can't even wear their masks correctly over their nose and mouth. Ross Dress for Less is a discount outlet that offers close out merchandise, seconds, and out-of-season apparel. The Tracy outlet is one of the better stores in the chain. Unlike some other discount clothing stores, this Ross is clean, well-lit, and the staff is friendly and anxious to assist. One rarely finds damaged merchandise remaining on the shelves and most items are clearly priced. My wife and I enjoy occasional browsing and quite often leave with unexpected treasures. We've found very comfortable athletic shoes for $20, cashmere & angora hair sweaters for $12, and a really nice steel cooking pots with copper-clad bottoms for about $18 each. Give this Ross a try, you may be pleasantly surprised. read more

Since when do you not give the customer a receipt. Just a thought why would a store leave only one person working in a store. The wait time in line was long. This store is lacking in appearance and cleanliness. It's been a long time since I've visited a store that leaves such a bad taste. Ross has really let down their customer and the target brand of marketing. Their District Manager needs to take a closer look at cameras and at their overall staff. Social media is trying to help you Ross, listen to your Customer this store needs a revamp. This Ross department store is located in an interesting place....a real mall! And it's close to Target and JC Penney Co.! Aside from the usual "irregular" apparel (not always, but it's definitely there), discounted jewelry, and somewhat disorganized and messy aisles (sometimes in big clusters that could be considered a fire hazard), there are some practical items you can buy here at good prices. For instance, letter/paper desk organizers at the Container Store cost about $20 to $25. I found similar items for about $7! Not a bad deal really for decent office supplies. I even got a big "valet box" (i.e. where you place your keys, loose change, etc.) for around $10 here at Ross. Overall, you get what you pay for at Ross. And if you look around long enough, there are good deals beneath the semi-chaotic disorganization. read more
