My wife and I just had the most dissatisfying experience in our lives today, we recently purchased our second family room set from your Manteca store and we have purchase family room sets from you in the past. Being from the service business for 35 years, I was in disbelief of the way your company is taking care of it's repeat customers. You know what's unusual is, that you can't contact any managers from the store directly, the managers can treat you bad, because the public has no way to contact them and hold them accountable! You might want to change that! I ordered a rug off your website and what we received wasn't even close to what was shown on your website! The colors suppose to be cooper and we were delivered a red rug. We drove three hours to return the rug to your Manteca store, thinking since we just purchase our second family room set from Living Spaces there, your folks would take great care of us and exchange the rug, by the way, the rug was never even removed from the wrapper. My wife and I went to exchange the rug for something the correct color. That's when we had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting Tiffany, I don't even know if that's her real name. She said, you are passed the 7 day return policy. We never signed anything agreeing to a 7 at return policy and it's been less than 30 days since we were delivered the carpet. She was extremely unhelpful, rigged and condescending. We asked for the store manager. She said she was a supervisor, I then asked if I could get the name of the store manager. She said she didn't need to give me his or her name to me. I'm sure there is video of the exchange. It got heated, because I was upset. I told her I was going to give her and the store terrible review that would cost you business and I serious about this, because of how we were treated. We felt like we were being treat as thieves. My girlfriend and I went into Living Spaces in the beginning of July to order a new couch. We found the perfect couch that we really liked on the showroom floor and got very good service with one of the sales reps. When I went to the counter to place the order for the $3500 couch we had a specific build in mind, as we did not need the showroom model. I told the man that helped us out exactly what we needed. He input our order in as well as a coffee table. On the delivery day, everything came incorrect. The chase was wrong as well as the sofa. It was not how I built it in store. They were both left arm facing pieces, which doesn't make any sense. If the original sales rep had taken his time, this would not have happened. Long story short we did end up getting talked into buying something that I did like. We were told there was only one left in the warehouse of the color we chose therefore, we felt we had no other choice but to make the purchase right then and there. Service at living spaces is great while you are there. The extended warranty seemed great as well. I have had two claims within a year and the manufacturer warranty didn't cover and when it went a bit over a year my extended warranty to cover it. They determine the cause without having a professional come to look at it. My two claims are legit. One is for snags, says it's not covered by rips tears and punctures are. One of my back cushions has lack of filler they are claiming it's the loss of resilience after one year of having this couch and we don't even sit in that spot. Said I can get a free estimate but now the company says it's $125 for someone to come out to see the issue. Do not get the extended warranty it doesn't cover what they say. It's so sad we don't have a good furniture company with good service. read more

We were greeted upon entering and the gentleman pointed us in the direction of the couches. After walking around for a few minutes, we met Jordan. We had some specific needs so he pointed us to the couple of options that we would have. We sat on the different couches and looked around for probably about 15 minutes. During this time Jordan was nearby for when we had a question, but never made us feel pressured by standing over us. When we had made a decision, he was there to answer some questions and then we decided we needed a rug so we all headed over that way. During this time a few other associates were asking him questions so it seems like he is very knowledgable and helps everyone out. We picked out the rug and went through the check out process. Since we had purchased from Living Spaces before we were already in the computer, just needed to update our address. They had an appointement for the next day but we work so we waited until Saturday for our delivery. You have 3 delivery options, outside delivery, inside delivery or white glove service. The first 2 , they just leave your items in the box. With white glove they assemble your items, place them where they will go and remove and take away all of the boxes and packing materials. On Firday night I received a text with my 3 hour delivery window. You even get en email and on the day of your delivery you can track where the driver is. This was easy and a nice feature. The team that delivered our items was called LJ Contreras. It was 3 gentlemen and they were fast and efficient. They were nice and friendly. I had ordered the white glove delivery ($140) so they assembled and placed the couches where they were going. However, there was some damage to the arm rest of the couch. The delivery guy called his dispatch and had me talk to the rep. It was a woman however I never got her name. It is unfortunate because she lied to me. She said no problem, we can have a new couch delivered the next day (Sunday). The driver had taken pics of the damage that she was able to see. Later that night I did not get the text with my delivery window for Sunday so I called. The woman never reported the damage so no replacement order had been entered in the system. They were able to handle that for me because they could see the pics, however because it was 6 pm Sunday was no longer available. This was very frustrating as she told me she would take care of it but never did. Since we work, we had to schedule the replacement delivery for the next Saturday. Last night I did receive the text for todays replacement delivery and today the team came on time to replace the damaged couch. read more

The headboard and frame were the wrong ones. Called store, received call center stating store does not take calls. I explained error, they said I could reorder the correct bed. The difference in price of the one I ordered and received was about $500. But on the website it was even $100 higher. He said I would have to go from Turlock to Manteca to reorder at the lower price. He checked the inventory and was able to get the product to me in four days! I was so happy I bought the matching TV stand. The showroom was HUGE. I could spend a day there just getting ideas. Things I wish: that they had a "dented" section, and that decor was available to carry away. Also, it seems the staff is on commission as I was approached by four different people. I was a little hesitant to step foot in living spaces as I heard they were ridiculously expensive, as I walked in I was in awe with the huge selection they had and the prices being reasonable. Our sales rep Lindsey was super nice and very patient as we walked in not knowing what we wanted. After an hour or so we finally made up our minds and went with a sectional. Purchasing process was a breeze. The next morning I had a change of mind, we no longer wanted a sectional but instead sofa and love seat. I went into the store the next day and Sabrina made the process super easy to cancel order and get what we truly wanted. She did mention items were on back order and that we would get ends of June but items were delivered within 2 weeks. Every person we encountered was super nice and helpful. I love that we did not feel rushed unlike other places where they are on you to make the sale. From the moment we walked in to the time of delivery everything was exceptional. At first I was skeptical seeing the yelp reviews but... In store experience: amazing. Every employee we talked to was very nice, even I they weren't directly helping us. We initially came in looking for a new couch. It was overwhelming because they have a million to choose from. But so many employees explained how their furniture is organized and laid out. They let me ask all my questions without making me feel dumb. They didn't pressure us, and when we said we would go home and think about it, they were like "sounds good!" We ended up coming back the next day to purchase our couch. We've had it for a little over a month now and absolutely love it! The in store employees who I can remember their names were Tiffany and Bertha, and a really tall guy with a red beard. They seriously made the whole experience so fun and I'd come back just to say hi to them again! The delivery: This is the part that made me nervous because of all the bad yelp reviews, so I was mentally preparing for something to go wrong. However, everything went smoothly! They text updated us by the hour when the delivery window changed. The delivery men arrived on time, they were very fast and polite. Our couch was huge, and we paid for the upgraded delivery whereby put it together and hauled away all the boxes. I was so impressed with how fast they did everything! After some research I saw that they have a location much closer to Stockton! I decided to visit on a Friday evening just to take a look and I was greeted right away. The salesman had good energy and gave me lots of space to shop. I later found out that they don't work on commission which is why they have such a low pressure shopping experience compared to other furniture stores. I came across a wonderful sectional that was exactly what I wanted. I located the closest sales person and she checked and let me know immediately that it was in stock and could be delivered the next day. I was so surprised! There was a ottoman pictured with the couch that was not in stock but she shared she could have it ordered and delivered within 6-8 weeks. I purchased both. The couch was delivered on the day I selected without incident. The delivery was on time and they set it up and took all of the trash with them. To my surprise, 3 weeks later I got an email and a text sharing that the ottoman was ready to be delivered. We were immediately greeted when we walked in and asked if assistance was needed. When told we were browsing, the employees left us alone and were not overbearing. *PARENTS* Never having visited living spaces, we were surprised to see what seemed like a two story kids play area. There is a secure process to checking your child in to the playroom that is secure with an employee or two supervising the children. There is no fee for the kids to play. This allowed my wife and I to browse the store kid free. This is a great business tactic on their part and it was appreciated. The store itself is pretty large. If you are looking for furniture of any type, you will most likely find it here. We were excited to see that most couches were modular and could be customized to our specific needs. They have informational papers with each couch that show the specs and different pieces that can be ordered to configure the couch in different options. Different employees periodically checked on us to inquire if we needed help. In my opinion, their prices are moderate to high. My first impressions were that most things appeared to be good quality. It is worth noting that Living spaces does not accept cash pricing for reduced rates like most of their competitors. Although we did not make a purchase, we did find a couple options we liked. Delivery men trudged through my house without shoe covers without me noticing because I was trying to keep my dog from escaping. When I pointed it out, one man told me I should've told them to wear shoe covers. This should be standard practice. After calling to complain, I was told nothing would be done because this isn't covered & again my fault for not telling them how to do a quality job.
