Thank you Target for being open on January 1st New Year's Day! I woke up this AM to a freezing apartment with a broken heater. Maintenance is not working along with the rest of the world. Drove around town, Walmart, Home Depot, Big Lots and other retail stores that normally sell heaters are all closed. I was destitute. Except this Target! Walked in a little past 9am and it was another day at Target with employees working and a steady flow of customers. I purchased 2 heaters. No one wants to work on January 1st, but thank you Target for being a lifesaver! read more

Ive been in this store on Sepulveda & Madrona twice in the past couple weeks & would like to let the management know what a gem they have with one of their cashiers *BEVERLY*. She is happy, upbeat & so helpful,,, she assisted me with getting my Target app & other target deals on my phone. She was precise & speedy & just so helpful !! Its refreshing to find an employee (anywhere) these days that seem to generally love their job & enjoy being helpful to customers. Sadly the store that I've supported since the beginning of time is deteriorating, especially this location. Besides the prices being "above average" for a go-to store, the shelves are always bare, the supplies at this location are always low stock, and less choices than other targets. Someone at this location needs to go to other cities to see, the Westminster location has double the choices of, say, protein powders, amongst many other things. Out of eggs, out of their very small supply of lunch meats, I leave and have to go to the grocery store. Sales prices are still higher than grocery store prices, and regular prices are now way above average. I used to go here weekly at the least, it's been weeks since I've been here, and today reminded me of why. Not sure when I will go back.. it will be a while. read more

Favorite Target and there are like four or five of them within a 20 mile radius. This location is always clean and has a customer oriented team. Plus the shoppers here tend to be chill. Nice wide isles. They always open more registers when the lines start to form. Well stocked, but all Targets are. Clean large parking lot. read more

What's not to like about Target! I have found the most random, coolest and cutest thingummy where do I start. My recent find has been their Hello Kitty Easter collection. (I remember last year, a friend gave me Hello Kitty Easter eggs from Target). This year this Easter collection consists of a Hello Kitty face Easter basket, Hello Kitty Easter plush (a Hello Kitty bunny, a Hello Kitty Easter egg, a Hello Kitty in a spring dress). I've also found cool and unique things like: a cupcake luggage tag, a Hello Kitty camera and a pink DVD player Hmm oh a total random but happy statement it was here at this Target that I found an XS dress that fit! Woohoo I knew working out those cupcakes would lead to something hehe =P. Anyways the point of that random statement is to show that you can find anything at Target! :D Hmm maybe the notebook I found here says it best. It said "I enjoy the little things in life...shoes, handbags and jewelry." You can find all these cute things at Target. Ok, so I mentioned the unique stuff I've seen and found here. This Target has a lot of the stuff you need for your daily household and garden needs. They have a whole section that is like a mini grocery (sells coffee stuff, snacks etc), a gardening section, a section for car needs. They have a great gift center too with all kinds of gift crap and cards too :). Point is Target is fun and convenient. Anything you need is almost guaranteed to be here. After searching a couple of places online, this store was the only one in my neighborhood that stocked CR1632 battery I needed for a keyless remote for my car. I prefer the instant gratification of purchasing in-store versus waiting a couple days by mail. Walked right in, flagged an employee walking my direction, and asked him where aisle H67(listed online) was located. He took me to the aisle and pointed towards the back wall. I didn't even have to wait very long in line. In fact, I went back in line to use up my gift card, which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Yes, gift cards do not expire in California but BEWARE you may be left with a ZERO balance on your partially used gift card. After being on hold and speaking to three different customer service agents over the phone, I was told I might not get my nineteen dollars and some change back. The gift card was gifted to me. Why would I have the original purchase receipt?? I only had the last receipt I used with the card with the balance amount. Anyways, it was a waste of my hour and fifteen plus minutes. Target needs to improve how they handle the above mentioned. During my previous visit at this location, my partially used gift card scanned zero balance. One of the ladies at the Customer Service/Return Desk was apologetic she wasn't able to help me further. She however mentioned there were many similar cases and reassured me I would receive the assistance I needed by calling the number on the card. read more

This place has been absolutely demolished during COVID but I have to say its better than most. I at least could find some water here. I needed to get some toilet paper and this was the only target that I found had any. Yes this place was extremely busy, crowded and people not wearing masks but I didn't come here to browse. I came here to get what I needed and leave. Obviously conditions inside here weren't ideal but it is really hard to police the thousands of people that come in each day. This store was hectic and crazy but it at least had what I needed to get and thats big for me. I didn't want to hang out in here, I'm sure no one does right now. I was in and out within 25 minutes, due to the long line of course and then I ran out of there never to come back. read more

I had not been inside this Target store since before the COVID19 outbreak began. However, I needed some things and a friend was going, so I went along. I was extremely disappointed by what I encountered and will not shop at a brick and mortar Target again, until the pandemic has ended. If you are concerned about your health and safety, I recommend avoiding this store. Since California Governor Gavin Newsom mandated that all Californians must wear face coverings while in public or high-risk settings, including when shopping, I thought I would be safe in this Target -- especially since I've had positive, safe experiences at other stores in which I've shopped. Unfortunately, that was not the case with this Target branch. There were shoppers without masks in the store. They were not social distancing and Target staff was doing nothing about it. One unmasked shopper walked right past me, coming dangerously close in the narrow store aisle. As a person with an underlying condition, I cannot and will not take chances with my health by shopping in stores that do not take seriously the risks and consequences of COVID19. At checkout, the cashier was diligent about wiping down the conveyor belt before the next customer's groceries and other merchandise were placed on it. But COVID19 is spread most easily by inhalation, not by touch. This Target store is NOT doing enough to prevent the virus' spread. Shoppers who refuse to wear masks should be barred from entering; and those who remove masks while shopping should be expelled immediately and kept out. Again, if you are a person concerned with your safety during the COVID19 pandemic, DO NOT SHOP AT THIS TARGET BRANCH. read more

This place is now my life line in the pandemic for produce. Most of the local grocery stores have tumbled in quality these last few months. At many places, avocados are already turning black when you take them home, or you have to wait two days and then they immediately start going bad faster than you can eat them. Bananas and tomatoes have also been sketchy elsewhere. And at Vons, many strawberries/blackberries/blueberries are soft and rotting and have actual mold on them. But Target has reliably come through on fresh produce that lasts several days. I was also able to get a tub of 500 sanitizer wipes a couple months ago, because my husband wipes down everything. Groceries, door knobs, everything. Sometimes, this place runs out of other popular items, and I'm pretty sure it's because this is a big location for a lot of folks and conveniently located. read more

Haven't shopped in store since the pandemic started but before that, they were great about giving me store credit for baby shower stuff I didn't need. My baby was huge and outgrew newborn clothes within 2 weeks so it was a relief to be able to exchange them for more useful items without a receipt. I know it's a chain so things are pretty standardized across the board but I've always found this location clean and organized. The staff are helpful and respectful and I've always had a good experience shopping here. read more

On January 3rd at about 10:35pm at the Target located in Torrance behind Del Amo Mall. I walked in hoping to exchange my babies owlet as its brand new in box & saw Amazon is having a sale right now for an owlet sock & camera bundle. I got helped from multiple people who had me waiting for about 10-15 minutes as they were looking for the key to unlock it. That was completely fine as I saw there sense of urgency, they asked me to head up front as they couldn't find it & ask customer service. At around 10:52pm Me & my husband went up to the front counter of returns and exchanges. Where a white female with black glasses on her head & tattoos on her arm was sitting behind the counter (no name tag) My husband had asked her if she could help us and if she knew anything about someone grabbing the keys. She immediately came off hostile and irritated. I understand it's then end of the day & people want to go home. Unfortunately if you're on the clock you don't speak to people how ever you want because you're irritated. She told him "people are looking for it still." & he asked her if he knew how long it would take as we had been waiting for a while and I'm pregnant. I had already walked up at that point as I heard the tone in her voice I asked her "do you know where the manager is?" She said "they are looking for it to, you guys need to wait. i don't know where they're at. it's not my department." I was immediately taken back & that's where I have an issue. There was no reason for the attitude. As much as she was irritated with us asking her for help even after someone on the team told us to go ask up front it wasn't our fault that the keys were not able to be found. I told her "I'm not asking you to grab me the item, I'm asking for your manager." She rolled her eyes and said "well they're looking for the damn keys." I already knew that exchanging the item with her was going to be uncomfortable and truthfully I don't really have the energy to entertain someone who obviously doesn't care about customer relations when I'm already pregnant. Me & my husband went back to the department where a team member from electronics helped us and found the key. He said "you guys are still waiting? Let me try." & was able to grab it. He did tell us we had to go back up front to get price matched & exchange the item. So we headed back up, where the same lady was. She told me "if it comes up in my system then I'll go ahead and price match it." You could tell she did not want to help us. I went ahead and read targets policy, for Amazon price match. I don't know if it was bitterness or what. She took about 3 minutes on the phone and let us know she was not gonna price match it for us. At that point I was already irritated myself with her attitude and the situation itself. All that time wasted finding a key to tell me she was going to price match it for me out of spite. She wasted my time & the team's time. & now an inconvenience to the store management as I'm writing a complaint where it could have all been avoided. All I wanted was to exchange my baby's product and get a good deal. There was no need to have an attitude. I didn't even mind that I had to wait for the keys to be found because I was just excited about the deal. I know this behavior is not apart of targets culture. read more

After shopping at this Target for almost 20 years, I am calling it quits. I am fed up with the store in general. Many items I am looking for, they are not on the shelves. The service one receives from their checkers is horrible. I have had store checkers who were verbally abusive to me, not want to bag customers recyclable bags. It all started today when checker Robert Santos would not bag my groceries for me and gave me every excuse under the sun. If I wanted to bag my own grociers, I could have used self check out. He told me about all of his health issues. Well, I am disabled myself and can not stand and bag grociers, that is why I went through his check out counter; and I do not advertise my health issues like he apparently does. As far as I am concerned he has no business working in the position he is in. I have no intention of constantly spending 10 cents a bag every time I go grocery shopping. In addition their store floor is a mess and has cracks and holes in it. I have complained to store management and it has done no good. Apparently their corporate office no longer cares about customer service. Not only am I not going back to this store, but I am disgusted with Target altogether and I will be closing my Red Card account with them as well. If you do not want to be inconvenienced, I suggest you not bother to go there. This is a pretty good indication of why the company is losing business. read more

This is a pretty big target (I think). I could be in here for hours lol. I avoided this place during the remodel because the whole place and parking lot was a hot mess. Right now the returns line is out of control because returns were halted for the last few weeks. That was very uncool, Target. I understand that the holidays can be a stressful time for employees, I myself have worked in customer service industry for over 12 years. Believe me, I GET IT. But the experience I just had was absolutely beyond bizarre and I truly think something is wrong with this employee. His name was Nathan and he was working at the first checkout aisle. I got no greeting, but I said hi! How are you? No response. I chalked it up to him possibly not hearing me and said, man it's crazy in here! No response. I said "good chat" lol. He stopped halfway through checking out my items, still not saying a word, pointed to the rest of my things. I only had like 10 items in total. He said, are these yours too? I said yes, is there a problem? And he said "let's not talk about it". WTF? I said out loud I am so confused right now. The lady behind me started laughing and told me I wasn't crazy, she saw the whole thing. He finishes and the option on his screen to ask me if I want to sign up for the red card comes up, but he doesn't ask me. He just looks at me and points at the screen. I stood there waiting, not going to answer a question he didn't ask me. It was a minute before I finally said no I don't want to sign up. He clicked no. I used a gift card that he ripped out of my hands, then didn't tell me my remaining balance. Just sat there waiting for me to use my card while he stared off into the distance. He handed me my receipt without a word. It was like a zombie in the twilight zone. I know this doesn't sound as crazy as it felt, but I left absolutely bewildered. I also realized that prior to this he was in line behind me at Starbucks in the store standing literally 5 inches away from me, I tried to scoot up but he got close again. I don't know, I think something is off with this guy and that he works in the wrong industry if he's so visibly unhappy around people and has zero social awareness, let alone a little kindness. I've been to a few Targets and on a normal basis I've had no issues, HOWEVER this past experience I was very upset with the service that I received. I saw that target was having a sale on dresses advertised above the racks. I grabbed a few sizes and headed to the dressing room. There were 3 associates, all of which ignored me and continued talking amongst themselves about their personal life. When I asked the lady told me in a rude tone to "count your items and go". Upon coming out with the items that didn't fit, I asked them which rack to put it on and they ignored me...once again...sigh.... I asked the closest worker next to me and she told me to "hold on, I have to find my granola bar".....customer service is not the greatest...... So then I ended up getting my two "dresses" since they were both advertised as sale dresses in the dress rack, but when I checked out, I was charged full price. I had to go to customer service only to be told that it doesn't come up so I don't get my discount. I then suggested maybe they should mark the sale dresses with stickers or be more organized or specific with the racks and they just shrugged and said "oh".... Overall, I'm really disappointed with the service I received from the dressing rooms and customer service. I had no problems with the checkout lady who was nice, but I don't plan on giving this place my service anymore. read more

I have not been to this target in a while, and I was amazed at how the store has changed. There were empty shelves and merchandise from the shelves on the floor everywhere in the back. A customer was standing in an aisle to warn other customers about a spill. She said she reported the spill to an employee and was still waiting for them to come and clean it up. I left that area for awhile and when I returned she was still waiting. I looked over and saw three employees standing and talking to each other. I went over and reported it again. The employee was very nice and told me he would get right on it, I am not sure who the other employee was that she reported this to but I know she was waiting for a long time for someone to come and she had a small child with her. The areas where you leave your cart in the parking lot was overflowing with carts. The store was pretty empty and I'm not surprised why. The management there has gone downhill from what I remember. I think I'll be shopping at another target from here on. read more

I have shopped at this target for numerous years and have never had an issue with any employees they have all been nice. A couple weeks ago I was served by an older man named Robert who was extremely rude and unfriendly. I have never in my life been treated this way by a cashier I was baffled at how rude he was. The story was too long to explain but this man needs to be fired he has no customer service skills whatsoever and just seems like such a miserable old grump. This target is cleaner than most and is nestled between a Ralph's and busy Sepulveda Blvd. I came here after seeing that they had OATLY! Oatmilk in stock! I couldn't resist the urge, so I drove from my home in San Pedro, to this location! The interior is very clean and spacious. Shockingly, they had a greeter at the door, who welcomed me in as I grabbed my car and sped to the other end of target, I managed to get what I came for and darted to the register. The cashier was a lovely woman, and she provide good insight on my purchase and how to save more money on each visit! If you're looking for an item and it's not available at your local target, I do recommend coming to this one (South Bay Yelpers only. I say this because i think it's a bit much driving from downtown LA, just for this target). read more

I said it a second time, then without even turning to face me she replied with a huff and an attitude "how can I help you". I then asked where I could find the school supplies (the layout is a little different from the Target stores I frequent). She was rude and flippantly waved me in the direction. I had planned to buy school supplies, toiletries, and a birthday gift for my nephew. But my teenaged son and I left with a bad taste in our mouths from the encounter. read more

I use to love shopping at this store, that is, until I was misinformed while filling out an in store application, for what I thought was their store credit card. I was told that if approved, I would get a $40.00 discount off my initial purchase. Well, I got approved, but not for their credit card. I should have taken the hint when they asked for a blank check from me. Turns out, I was applying, not for a credit card, but a debit card tied to my personal bank account. I was told that I also got $40.00 off my purchase. SUCH A LIE SINCE I DID NOT GET $40 TAKEN OFF MY PURCHASE JUST 5%. The woman cashier that asked me to fill out this bogus application was an older Filipino lady in her early sixties. DO NOT FALL FOR HER BAIT AND SWITCH!!!! Why in the heck would I need a Target debit card tied to my bank account, when I already have a bank card that can be use at ANY store? I got no results placing my complaint with their store manager, Colin, on August 10. My application and "approval" was on August 7. I was told in order to cancel the card, I had to call the toll free number on my temporary card. Add further insult to injury, the customer service person on the phone, Chrstine, tried to tell me the benefits of the card. BS! 5% discount is not much, and quite frankly, I don't need it!! My main concern is that there may be others who will be deceived by the misinformation given by this salesperson. Strongly agree with prior advice to AVOID this location! We're somewhat new to this area & were on vacation to meet our new granddaughter. The only reason we needed to shop was, thanks to my dogs, I arrived from Detroit smelling like a skunk; I smelled, my clothes smelled, both what I was wearing & what I packed. So, looking to buy laundry supplies & a couple of dresses on clearance, Target was my first choice to shop. Unfortunately, we found this Target location first. (days later, we discovered a really nice, clean, well stocked & well staffed Target) I have never, never, never, ever been in a any dept. store in this condition. I couldn't find any Target employees, no available cart & I hadn't even shopped yet. First stop, women's clothes. No kidding, most of the merch was on the floor. At least ankle deep in the clearance area. Any interest in looking at what was hung up would require abandoning a hard to find cart & walking on top of merch on the floor. I finally found 2 dresses in my size, not on clearance. The fitting rooms were equally scary. I love a deal as much as anyone, but this stuff wasn't free. I was really delighted to find a Starbucks inside this retail store. This is a great thing! As for Target, the lines are sometimes long and customer service is just ok. Employees aren't really enthused about assisting customers. On the other hand, the store is usually clean and well stocked. They are also competitively price. Perhaps I'll give this Target more business - as they've made a smart business decision to partner with Starbucks. That's a plus in my book! read more
