Grateful to have a Target nearby in a central location. Easy to pop in while doing other errands. The order pickup process could use some (a lot of) improvement. It's next to the returns desk and the pickup area is always a disaster. No one ever knows where to queue up for it, and it's usually all cluttered. Then the employee has to walk across the store (?) to locate the order -- the entire process takes such a long time that one may as well just shop themselves. I've used the service a few times, hoping for different results but it never happens. The makeup and personal care section is also a mess. Using my brothers help because I don't have one. I placed two Target pickup orders while my child is currently admitted at Torrance Memorial Hospital. I live 30-40 minutes away, so I placed the orders before heading home to save time. I got a notification that my first order was ready, so I drove over to pick it up. While I was sitting in the pickup spot--less than five minutes--my second order suddenly showed as "ready for pickup." Perfect, right? I figured I could grab both and head home to cook, shower, and change before driving back to the hospital. I clicked "I'm on my way/I'm here" like the app instructed and it told me to wait 60 seconds. I did. I was still parked in the exact same spot I had been in. The items were marked READY, so naturally I expected a normal handoff. Instead, I was met with the rudest Target team member I have ever encountered. He was a gentleman - 30-'s 40's... wearing a red and white beanie, and from the moment he walked up, he had an attitude. I was on the phone with the hospital and rolled down my window, and when he asked where I wanted the items, I told him the front seat was fine. He snapped back with, "You've got a lot of items, but I guess." Still on the phone, I got out, opened my trunk, and said he could put them there if it was easier. He angrily responded, "Next time give us time before you just show up when your order is ready." Excuse me? He has no idea what I'm going through. I was literally planning to cancel the order until the system told me it was READY. I followed the app exactly. And even if I hadn't--there is zero excuse for speaking to a customer like that. I don't care how busy someone is; basic respect is part of the job. Target pickup has always been friendly, patient, and helpful. This was the complete opposite. If I hadn't been on the phone with the hospital, he absolutely would have heard about himself. read more

The good: I pass by this massive Target all the time but went in for the first time today and it was amazing! I was surprised to see so many live plant selections. I got a double mini orchid plant for $15 which was a very fair price. They also had a humongous selection of Fourth of July clothing, food and decor. I got shirts for $5 (regular not sale price). Their home decor section is always trendy and up to date. They sold super cute retro Bluetooth speakers and had really high end styled lamps. My son enjoyed his time here in their huge ball section. I also thought their frozen food and kids foods options were great. I got kids yogurts and also some interesting frozen foods I've never seen before. The bad: I was trying to find a 40th birthday card but didn't see it. I'm sure it existed but I probably didn't look close enough. The shoe section was messy but there were tons of shoes so that's positive. I got a croissant rug because the sign said it was 50% off but it ended up being full price. The interesting: My home Target store is a smaller neighborhood kind so every time I go into a super Target with groceries and fuller makeup sections I'm so impressed. read more

She and another employee, maybe a trainee, went to the back to retrieve an online order. One employee by the register tracking and marking items that have been returned. Well, where do I start. My daughter decided to spend the night. I live in Torrance and my daughter lives in Long Beach. She is a hair stylist that works in in old town Torrance. So rather than go home for a change of clothes she asked me to go to Target with her. We got there at 9:40 at which time she went to the dressing room to be told that they were closed for the night. Now mind you they are open till midnight. Curious as to whether or not management is aware of this policy. Very disappointing. So much for customer service. read more

I used to love this store, especially at night when it's not as crowded. Over the past couple of months it's become so annoying to shop here even at night. The workers who stock shelves and have those big rolling carts basically try to run you over. I understand not liking customers but when I'm clearly trying to get out of the way/not being rude, you don't have to basically try to hit me with the cart like i'm not there. Also weird people in the parking lot now sitting in their cars. On weekends nothing is stocked. The vibe is just not the same. Edit: On a positive note though, the cashiers are always very nice. People here are rude. I came in and saw that a Ps5 game is priced at 20.99. I tried to talk to a manager about the price and no one came. Fine, I tried calling so I can speak to someone and they do don't pick up the phone. I usually enjoy shopping at this Target, but I've had repeated uncomfortable experiences with one employee named Ethan. His body odor is extremely strong and noticeable from a distance, and it makes it very difficult to ask for help or stand nearby. This isn't a one-time issue, and I know I'm not the only customer who has noticed it. It really takes away from the shopping experience, especially in a store that's otherwise clean and well-maintained. I hope management addresses this. read more

Cleanest target out of the majority. Staff for the most part is pleasant. There's one cashier that has been here for some years that is really really nice. (I'll come back and add her name later) I just know that she has a couple cats we have chatted about at check out. This store is better organized than most. Their bathroom is not good but is better than most. They need to keep up on it. Clearance section is larger than most she tagged clearly. I like this location because nothing is locked up which is highly annoying (like the San Pedro location). Good section is larger than most. Parking is large and easy to find a spot. This is almost the only location that has NON STOP employees smoking out front right next to the doors. That is not the best. Especially when you have kids, asthma, and instead of smelling Starbucks coffee as you walk in .... You have smoke stuck in the doorway. Which there's times I've had to leave a cart filled with items because my asthma wouldn't stop. I've called for years and it's the only location that doesn't keep on their employee. I've been to this Target three days in a row, and every time there are no hand baskets at the front of the store. I've had to walk all the way to the self-checkout area and grab one that another customer has left behind. Meanwhile, employees are standing around chatting, on their phones, or loudly complaining about how miserable it is to work there. At 8:30 pm there was only one checkout line open and it was backed up into the clothing section. The only person who seems to be working hard is the gentleman whose job is retrieving carts from the parking lot. He's always out there. read more

This Target is an absolute disgrace, appalling. I would give negative stars if that were an option. Yelp needs to offer at minimum a ZERO STAR rating as this Target is worthy. Almost every department is literally un-shoppable. I am disgusted every time I go there. I'm not sure if it's the clientele that have zero respect for property or the employees that have zero work ethic, or BOTH, but is disgusting. The offending employees and shoppers should be ashamed of themselves. The other reviews claiming it's a clean store are flat out LYING. Maybe they're being paid or persuaded to post these positive reviews, or maybe they've seen worse, which is scary, but this store IS NOT CLEAN. Has not been for awhile now. Proof is in the pictures. Pictures don't lie. I will be reaching out to Target Corporate to report this store. I suggest others do the same. YIKES!!! I did not expect to see this many bad reviews already, but I totally understand why lol, these employees are all insanely rude and will literally talk about you as you're walking away. I saw two employees taking up the whole main walkway and bickering at each other so loudly. Everyone here is in such a bad mood for no reason. Also wanted to try some clothes on, I had been there like 15 minutes before the dressing room closed (mind you, there's NO SIGN saying when the dressing room closes). They didn't let me try anything on, even though there were people trying stuff on. I don't understand why these sour employees choose to work somewhere as chill as Target. You know customers don't come to deal with your nasty attitudes right? lol just thought you'd like the reminder! But hey, it's good I didn't try the clothes on, saved myself like $50 that would've been wasted on cheaply made clothes. The store managers in this location are terrible , I spent 40 minutes waiting for my order at drive up, they have one guy taking out all the orders, my order was stuck in the front with no one else to bring it to the back to help this one guy. I would've left if I didn't already spent so much time there. I had two babies in the car with me and since I didn't bring the right equipment to take babies out of the car to go inside of a store I couldn't go inside myself, This was a huge inconvenience, if you're not gonna have enough people to run this department, you shouldn't offered this service at this location. read more

I often avoid high traffic retail outlets such as Target and Walmart unless I really have to; however, I needed a specific item and was able to get in and out with ease during the holiday season. I've been here several times. They seem to have everything I want, however, I needed assistance finding an item. I asked a floor rep who was busy doing nothing. I asked where I could find the item I wanted and in a rude voice directed me to the opposite side of the store. I went there, could not find the item, and was find it was back to the other side of the store. I went there, same problem, not there I saw a rep walking by and politely tried asking her a question. We did a mad dash through Target. B's prize of the haul was a Goodfellow tan suede warm yet light jacket. Some other essentials: Gillette razors, black pens, white coat hangers, peach towel, #2 pencils. Service of checkout girl sweet and prompt. We also asked 5 people for help to find items and got swift, helpful directions. It's nice to see a smile through the holidays. I always love Tar Zhey. Sweet surprise must have: full fat yummy nummy egg nog. Be Best!!! Especially for value. It was almost crowded, but still quite spacious, with prices that are very fair for quality. I don't often leave reviews, but I had a very positive experience at this Target. While I was checking out, I realized I had misplaced my wallet and couldn't find it. The older gentleman working in security noticed I was a bit panicked and approached to ask if I needed help. He calmly assisted me by retracing my steps and made sure I felt comfortable while I looked. He was very helpful and patient throughout the process, making a stressful situation much easier to handle. This store is one of my goto Targets. The store seems larger than the order stores. I usually find everything I need. Plenty of parking. There is an Ultra in this store. I needed sunscreen and Ultra had what I was looking for. Kopar is the brand I was looking for. This is a SPF 45 sunscreen. This is one of the BEST sunscreen on the market. Worst target I've been too. It's twice I order for drive up and they take all day to have it ready. These orders are suppose to be ready in two hrs. The first order was two days ago early morning around 7:00 A.M and the order wasn't ready until 7:00 pm which at that point I didn't need what I ordered anymore. I tried calling them that day to see why my order was taking long and the department wouldn't answer the call. One of the calls stopped short as if they answered and hung up right away. The second order was yesterday around 5:00 pm. The order still is processing and it's 1:40. I've tried calling the department and no one will answer, the call just keeps ringing. The family, bro in-laws, the dude and I came to this Target In Torrance, Ca on 10/03/20. I will say this is the absolute BIGGEST target we have ever gone to by far. Of course masks are required for entry. They had Halloween decorations up already and it was pretty packed inside. It was clean and organized. I feel like this is a fairly new target. As in previous years, the closest superstore in Torrance which was Walmart -- that was a couple of miles away where we were staying at. Anywho, my preference for super stores is Target although they are slightly more expensive but I feel that the atmosphere makes up for it as well as how clean, organized and clutter free the store is! Plus staff is always friendly and kind. Love this location and the Starbucks inside of it too! Definitely will be back when in the area if I need to go to the store.
