The family, bro in-laws, the dude and I came to this Target In Torrance, Ca on 10/03/20. I will say this is the absolute BIGGEST target we have ever gone to by far. Of course masks are required for entry. They had Halloween decorations up already and it was pretty packed inside. It was clean and organized. I feel like this is a fairly new target. As in previous years, the closest superstore in Torrance which was Walmart -- that was a couple of miles away where we were staying at. Anywho, my preference for super stores is Target although they are slightly more expensive but I feel that the atmosphere makes up for it as well as how clean, organized and clutter free the store is! Plus staff is always friendly and kind. Love this location and the Starbucks inside of it too! Definitely will be back when in the area if I need to go to the store. Was creeped out during recent visit to this Target. In the middle of a Sat afternoon, I used the deserted self-checkout with 6 items. As I'm scanning my items, I was startled by an older female employee who came up directly behind me and hovered over my shoulder. She didn't make any comment to make herself known, which is why she completely startled me. Are employees now trained to hover over guests in the check-out line? Was I racially profiled? I thought this completely unnecessary by the employee! If shoplifting is the concern, then close all self checkouts! read more

This was my regular shopping spot until I was checking out last week in the self-checkout and the employee came up from behind me while I was not looking and put their hand on my back and started pressing on my back. I'm gonna be honest and say it like it is: I received a $5 coupon in the mail and wanted to put it to good use. It's been a long time since I stepped in this particular Target. There's three of these closer to home, errands forced me to be around this area. It's currently under construction so it was a bit of a mess (construction wise) otherwise, overall clean. Although I didn't have anything in mind to buy, I ended up scoring a few items off their clearance spots. The $5 discount kinda just sweetened the deal a little bit. The lines to the cashier were a bit long so I decided to use their self-checkout counter. (I'd suggest to use this option if you have less than 10 items to purchase.) This is my go to Target when I'm in Cali. They've added a grocery area and they carry Guinness so I'm already a happy camper as I pass through the automatic doors. The clothes seem better, but then again, I live in New Orleans now and I feel like California trends before Louisiana anyway. Absolutely terrible. Went to pick up my items from the drive up parking at 7:04am when NO ONE else was around. Waited at least 15 minutes and no one ever came out. I received the message with the sad face, 'sorry for the wait. Due to high demand, your order is taking longer.' Oh interesting. No one else is here! I ended up leaving because I have things to do and clearly I'm doing the pick up because it SHOULD be convenient! When I go back at 12:50ish, I end up waiting another 20 minutes with cars coming and going who came after me, but somehow getting their orders before. Had to walk inside to get my stuff. This Target is is super shady. Any hot items don't expect to ever find them. Marvel Blacklight Funkos, PS5s, Sportscards; employees backdoor everything. Caught them today in the act hiding sports cards in the back the minute I asked when they would be unloading them. Multiple employees also have verified upper level management is hiding and buying these items. Vendor Eric from Excell brands is aware but said its a Target issue not a vendor issue. Associate Geniva tried to tell security to throw me out when I called corporate; guard didn't want any liability so he kindly walked away. Collin, Brandy and Geniva always seen pushing theese items into the back room then telling customers products never came in. 1 employee who admitted and exposed employees purchasing has already been fired. I've always liked shopping at this Target location, but this particular time my husband and I went to self check out and as we proceeded to leave we were asked to show our reciepts for Christmas toys we purchased. We were singled out and the only people asked to show our reciepts , even when the couple ahead waked out and the sensor went off. In all my years of shopping at Target I have never been asked to show a reciept at the door. This was complete RACISM in part of the guard. I'm definitely following up with a manager. While using the self checkout register, I had to remove an empty basket from the register and then while grabbing a reusable bag from my boyfriend another customer took my register with my basket of stuff sitting there. I went to the man and told him that I was using the register but he ignored me. So I said "well I'll just move my stuff then.." I was very upset that the employee who was standing directly from the self checkout didn't say anything to defend me. She sent me to another register where I had to move another empty basket. She also needs to remove empty baskets from the registers instead of making Customer's have to figure out were to put it so we can checkout our stuff. read more

Was at Target on Christmas Eve , yep one of those that always need the last minute gift This time the store was less organized but heck Christmas Eve and covid , total break on that one Now I'm not over sensitive to covid situation , my theory is just common sense people But , on this night Target had no management of social distancing , and of course each individual is responsible. But no staff seemed available to help creating crowds and of a maximum capacity was in effect must of been at 100 percent. So again , not one of those to lockdown and hide , but a little store management to keep those of use doing last minute shopping would of been great And not an issue for me but those who like to see the self service check out wiped down after each use , wasn't happening. I was told at the time of purchase to come back when I had my gift card and use it towards the purchase. I don't like this Target at all. I think I've been spoiled by my Target back in Vegas and how it's not a complete clusterf***k like this one. I only come here out of convenience because it's near my family's house and how I always manage to forget something. 1. First off, the parking lot is madness. People do not know how to drive and parking spaces seem smaller and limited here. I always have to park far away from the entrance. 2. I also notice that the garbage cans near the exit were completely full and trash was falling out of them. 3. The floors look so dirty. Someone has to mop ASAP. 4. The shelves themselves are so empty and unorganized. I was trying to find sip cups and couldn't tell which price belong to which item because all the cups were in the wrong spots. 5. Good luck trying to find your size in the clothing section. That section is just as horrendous as the rest of the store. Only reason I gave 2 stars instead of one is because the cashiers and employees seem helpful and friendly. I would hate to shop here regularly for my basic needs. Is it normal to get bad customer service from target? Maybe I never really noticed because I never ask for help. But I'm attempts to find an adult onesie (Winnie the Pooh in particular,) this was a task this employee seemed unfit to handle. Before coming, I checked their inventory online through there app. This was the only store that said they had the one I was looking for. Coming from Long Beach, I wanted to make sure this wasn't going to be a waste of a drive. So I called relentlessly ahead. No answer. Had my sister call, no answer. My hubby call, no answer. Obviously this target doesn't have any phones in the store. So I drove down anyways. I find the onesies section in the women's area and do no see the one I'm looking for. I stop an employee for help. I let her know that it shows that they have it in stock and she responds, "this is all we have." I ask again, are you sure? I checked inventory last night and this morning and it says you still have it. She replies, "we used to have a lot but this is all that's left." At this point I'm annoyed because she has not put any effort to check her inventory herself, her go backs, or her back stock or returns. I've worked in retail, I know how it works so I ask if she can check and she says, "I mean I CAAANN CHECK." And them walks away. What type of customer service is this girl providing? Not one to provide loyalty from their customers, that's for sure. Literally a minute later she walks back and says it isn't in her back stock. Okay little girl, I'm done with your nonchalant I hate my job attitude. So I go and try to find something else. I ended up purchasing the Cookie Monster, jack skellington, and Olaf onesie and almost spent $100. However, I am definitely not pleased and am going to return them. Wouldn't recommend this target to anyone. Go to Carson or Carson North. More organized, answers phone. Curbsides are always on point.

My granddaughter needed clothes for sleep away camp. We found everything she needed and wanted. Good quality for the price.

[UPDATE1: Review #34] 2019 Yelp 100 Challenge (40/100) Last weekend, I was running around like mad on errands, & I chased a couple of items at 2 separate Targets. o-O I went from the Carson location to the Torrance one searching for the Mario Kart Monopoly set for H's friend whose birthday is coming up this weekend. According to floor person in Carson, there were suppose to be 9 boxes in Torrance... but I only found 1, luckily, I not only got the 1 game, its box was also still sealed & in excellent condition. I saw this extra 5% discount that I didn't understand how to get, & found Ale, who gave me a thorough explanation & how to find the coupon on the Target app, & it's different from the Cartwheel discounts. I went to Shannon at Customer Service, & explained I was there in the morning with a sizable purchase & inquired how I could apply the extra 5% discount (either by returning everything & re-buying them, or if she could correct it on her end); she was able to correct it from her end. The coupon was a 1-time redemption... NOT ONLY did she credit me from the morning purchase, she also gave the extra 5% discount for the board game. She said it can be confusing because the coupons are in separate areas. What!?! How lucky am I?! Shannon is the epitome of excellent customer service... not because she I got the 5% discount on 2 separate purchases, but she understood that the app isn't always forthcoming or user-friendly to our advantage. Even though, technically, I should have known or found this beforehand, she graciously & efficiently took care of everything in minutes. Not only that, she didn't scowl or look at me like I was an idiot, as some might, she completed the transactions with a smile. Thank you Target for being open on January 1st New Year's Day! I woke up this AM to a freezing apartment with a broken heater. Maintenance is not working along with the rest of the world. Drove around town, Walmart, Home Depot, Big Lots and other retail stores that normally sell heaters are all closed. I was destitute. Except this Target! Walked in a little past 9am and it was another day at Target with employees working and a steady flow of customers. I purchased 2 heaters. Sadly the store that I've supported since the beginning of time is deteriorating, especially this location. Besides the prices being "above average" for a go-to store, the shelves are always bare, the supplies at this location are always low stock, and less choices than other targets. Someone at this location needs to go to other cities to see, the Westminster location has double the choices of, say, protein powders, amongst many other things. Out of eggs, out of their very small supply of lunch meats, I leave and have to go to the grocery store. Sales prices are still higher than grocery store prices, and regular prices are now way above average. I used to go here weekly at the least, it's been weeks since I've been here, and today reminded me of why. Not sure when I will go back.. it will be a while. read more

After searching a couple of places online, this store was the only one in my neighborhood that stocked CR1632 battery I needed for a keyless remote for my car. I prefer the instant gratification of purchasing in-store versus waiting a couple days by mail. Walked right in, flagged an employee walking my direction, and asked him where aisle H67(listed online) was located. He took me to the aisle and pointed towards the back wall. I didn't even have to wait very long in line. In fact, I went back in line to use up my gift card, which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Yes, gift cards do not expire in California but BEWARE you may be left with a ZERO balance on your partially used gift card. After being on hold and speaking to three different customer service agents over the phone, I was told I might not get my nineteen dollars and some change back. The gift card was gifted to me. Why would I have the original purchase receipt?? I only had the last receipt I used with the card with the balance amount. Anyways, it was a waste of my hour and fifteen plus minutes. Target needs to improve how they handle the above mentioned. During my previous visit at this location, my partially used gift card scanned zero balance. One of the ladies at the Customer Service/Return Desk was apologetic she wasn't able to help me further.
