Came here tonight after the gym to pick up some goods. Was quite surprised to see that this Tar-J had the same builders as the people who builds Ikea. Same layout right? Garage, double doors which leads to stairs to the store on the 2nd level. They got cart escalators just like the one in Fremont. Store was clean and new. Shelves seemed pretty well stocked and organized. Why the 3 stars? I'm really big on customer service. I hate it when you walk up to the cashier and she totally ignores you. This was the case tonight. She didn't even have a good reason like multi-tasking, servicing another customer while trying to scan my purchase, or anything. She just gave me the total silent treatment. She hit the "total" button without saying anything. I pay, and she goes "here you go". HERE YOU GO? How about here YOU go bitch? Sorry, but minus 2 stars. Superrrrrr Target. This is literally the mecca of all Target locations. It is huge, has ample parking in the parking garage, and has a very nice little surrounding area in Sunnyvale. So you know how you see those awesome new products online and you're like "where can I get that?" Oh...that's just me? Awk...well if that ever happens, you can most likely find it at this Target! From strawberry banana teddy grahams, to obscure or new flavored chips, Target is an awesome place for a treasure hunt. The grocery section is really extensive. And don't even get me started on sales and prices! Oh goody! From their own line of products to the clothing by designers to the regular household items, Target has it all! Whether you need something specific or just want a fun afternoon, get a cart when you walk in, you will need it! Don't forget to give your cart a ride on the cartscalator! I love that this Target is easily accessible to where I live whenever I need to do a quick run for anything I need. They're quite organized with the things they sell and usually pretty easy for me to locate the items I need. Cashiers are nice and helpful with the checkout process. Highly recommend this Target if you need to buy anything ranging from groceries and pet food to clothes and technologies :) read more

This review is for Drive Up facility. Do not use the Drive up feature at target. They make you wait for 30 mins in your car, ultimately realizing that you could've just gone up and got it yourself and still save a lot of time. So I followed through with all legal actions. Showed up to my court date.. just to find out that the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence of theft. They reviewed the tapes and read my statement and found me NOT guilty of petty theft. To the man named Alex, You should be fired for falsely accusing a loyal customer of theft. It's easy to run in here to grab something quickly but lately they're out of a lot of things. I usually bring my dog to guard the car due to the parking lot thefts. Tonight I watched a stock guy run with a shopping cart and narrowly miss a woman shopper. The stock guys working right before closing seem to be following some shoppers around sort of harassing them (oh oops!) or trying to film them. I was overcharge for picking up an online item. When I called the overcharge out to the SV Service desk, I was ask to submit my home printed copy of the sale. I told them that Target should have this information and why should have to produce any documentation like this. I got my point across and they finally got the message and refunded the overcharge out of their cash register. I wonder how many people double chect the state tax and the cost of their buys? This is not the first time this company has tried to rob me. I returned an faulty appliance Item which was less than a year old (bought 6 months ago approx) only to find that I had to obtain my refund through the orig. mfgr. Cost me to send parts of the appliance back to them in oder to get my purchase price back. Be very careful buying anything from this company. This Target in downtown Sunnyvale is a modern store being on the second level (street level is parking.) Parking is plentiful (for now) and the store is spacious and quiet, although pricing is a tad higher than WalMart. Despite being in downtown Sunnyvale, the area is still very quiet with the unfinished downtown Sunnyvale condos that have been unfinished for almost a decade now... When i visit target i feel like buying everything. For a person with good aesthetic sense, it would be hard to resist its home decor, bath, bedding and cutlery section. I love visting target and never have i returned buying nothing. The products are well arranged, staffs are courteous and priced reasonably good.. ( except few stuff which are pricey than walmart and amazon). But Target never disappoints you with their quality of products and variety of stock. read more

This has to be one of the nicest Targets that I've been to. I only say this because of the outside toy looking palm trees. Very colorful that pop out with the target background. 1st and 2nd floor parking. 1st floor is best for parking because all you need to do is go up the elevator and cross the bridge. You could use the cross walk but you're risking getting hit by drivers that don't stop or slow down for pedestrians. I was disappointed when I saw that its not a two story Target. I came in with my friend to purchase Big Hero 6 Blu ray and the last Disney infinity 2.0 edition of baymax. I had to go all out with that. read more

Gee willickers! This Target is better than the one in Mountain View. The lines are shorter here, and the store has a KICK-ASS STARBUCKS. This Starbucks is nicer than any Starbucks you've ever seen. It's so clean, the line is short (just like the Target checkout lines!) and the seating is such that you'll want to sit there all day. read more

Why is it that when a customer comes up the escalator with an item and receipt in hand, starts walking to customer service, where there were 5 workers who all of a sudden disperse and start acting like they are 'working', ignore that customer? Horrible service! Oh 'so-so' will be right with you. One completely walks away from the counter, another walks passed me saying that 'so-so' will be with me, two act like they on hold with a customer on the phone and one walks to put a reflector vest on and starts folding the reflector vest. This review honestly isn't on the store but the employees I talked to. While my bf and I were in the toy section I noticed a guy hanging around us for quite a while and I thought I was being paranoid but I don't believe I was now cuz he ended up following me and my bf threw the ENTIRE store (which is very big and at that point is not a coincidence anymore) and when we got in line, he got in line. So just to be safe I told the lady watching the line and checkouts (wish I got her name but I believe she had Dark redish hair) about him and she took me seriously. Icing on the cake is he walked up to us and asked her a very obvious question ("where's the line"even tho we're next to it) and so when I left to go to my bf she told her manager who talked into her walkie talkie I believe to warn other employees nearby. I'm just very pleased with the way they handled it and actually listened to my concerns cuz if he did it to a lady alone it could be a dangerous situation or her. read more

In the Bay Area, Walmarts are nearly extinct, but Targets are abound. In spite of this monopoly on the local "we sell everything" store, this Target's service, stock, and cleanliness rarely disappoints. They have everything you need, from baseball hats to tomatoes. There is a bit of a trend in Targets of the area to inflate prices, even compared to what's shown on the Target app. Fortunately the checkout staff are always happy to price match, but it's a bit of a hassle, so for that reason, they lose one star. read more

Sunnyvale doesn't have a Walmart. Why? Probably because Target makes Walmart look bad. This is one of the nicer Targets I've been to. It's got practically infinite parking in the form of two parking structures. The store is large but organized, aisles are wide, staff is generally friendly, and they've even got a Starbucks and Pizza Hut Express on site. Some selection is hit or miss, but I've found that if I'm looking for clothing, housewares, toys or hygienic items, this Target will generally have what I'm interested in. There's also a large variety of packaged and frozen foods, but the fresh grocery section could use expanding on. Most importantly though, as I'm walking out the door with my newly purchased items, there's no Marker Guy guarding the exit treating me like a criminal. Eat it, Walmart. read more

This is probably the best Target in the Southbay. Partially because the downtown Sunnyvale area is still under utilized, particularly what used to be the Town Center mall, so it doesn't seem to get a ton of traffic. (Yes, I grew up here and totally worked at the Sunnyvale Town Center mall as a teenager.. it used to be rad in the 80s.) This Target is right down he street from my office so occasionally I stop in for something I need, knowing I have a better chance of actually finding it at this location. Parking is always plentiful, either in the garage or on the street, and it's almost always clean, well organized and well stocked. Certain products in the makeup department are often out of stock or sparse but it seems to be that way at every location. Speaking of which, my one gripe is about the makeup section - I really wish they would do away with the harsh fluorescent lighting. It doesn't help at all and actually makes it more difficult to see colors due to glare and shadow. Every Target seems to have this issue and it's super annoying. Aside from that, it's always a good place to kill time when you go in for one thing and come out with six. Damn you Target. read more

Large, but old and kind of dingy, 2-story Target. Well, they renovated the Starbucks and got rid of the Pizza Hut. But the rest of the store is showing its age. Unfortunately this is my go-to Target, since the Target closest to me blows. Self checkout closes around 10pm. Has problems with math, like most Targets. (And Wal-Marts, for that matter.) Not all Target stores are created equal! This one is pretty good. Well-lit, clean aisles, friendly and plentiful staff (especially around the holidays), good product selection, open early, closes late, dedicated parking. The store is on the second floor. If climbing stairs isn't your thing or you're a bit out of shape, there's an elevator and two sets of escalators. I wasn't able to scan my phone at self-checkout for Cartwheel savings. If you want to save a buck or two, check your purchases against Target.com to see if brick-and-mortar Target needs to match its Target.com online pricing. Customer Service will price-match for you. Allegedly, prices are occasionally higher online but if you've used the Curbside app or Google Express and you KNOW it's cheaper, there's no reason to pay more...for less. Case in point: buying Lactaid is de rigueur for us dragon roulette-playing dairy lovers...but name brand is usually $14-$15 or more at Safeway, Target, etc. However, Curbside (i.e., Target.com) sells the same Lactaid (60 ct.) for $12. Therefore, Customer Service rang up my stuff and I saved $6+ after they price-matched Curbside™...! They have covered parking and fresh groceries oh my!! My eyes nearly bugged out from, dare I say it...a "fancy" Target? Since it's shiny and new, everything was folded, organized and easy to find. This review is for the last time I was here. Which just so happened to be around Xmas time. At the time I wasn't really a fan. The space was incredibly messy, empty and the prices weren't all that fair for the quality. The service was even pretty poor, but I was buying for Adopt a Family kids, not myself so my usual buying practices really wouldn't fly. So that is how I found myself in January with a brand new credit card, after my information was stolen at Target. Awesome. I no longer buy here or at any Target. Wow! This is the coolest Target ever. Between the covered parking, the huge selection and the cart escalators, I'm a big fan. Each of the sales people we talked to knew exactly where we could find whatever we were looking for, and the store was clean and well-stocked. Though this Target is farther from me than the ones in either Redwood City or Mountain View, I will definitely go here the next time I'm planning any major shopping. I find that this Target is almost always fully stocked with whatever essentials I need! The only hard part is climbing those flights of stairs to access the goods, because who likes to do cardio and work for their Target essentials? (FYI: You can take the elevators up but it's awkwardly placed all the way left of the entrance away from the stairs) This Target is big! I especially like to browse the personal care, home goods, and soft lines departments. I find that they always have small sizes for petite unicorns like myself. They also have an in-house Starbucks! And your standard Target deli-fast food section. Overall, this Target is clean, well-stocked, and there's ample parking. What's not to love? read more
