Well, I honestly didn't read the reviews until I was just going to leave my review right now. I was greeted fairly quickly and when I mentioned I had specific fabric needs they got me a specialist. Zaina was extremely helpful. She asked questions about firmness, configuration, fabric etc and we narrowed down the couch fairly fast. If I would have gone in by myself without help I would have been overwhelmed. Zaina made it seamless. She also reconfirmed my choices throughout the ordering process just to make sure everything was correct. Also I had multiple sales people come by and compliment me on various things. I don't know if that's something management asks the employees to do, but their compliments sounded sincere and every person I interacted with was super friendly. I had a very frustrating experience with this store from start to finish. The price listed on the sales floor did not match what we were charged at checkout. When we brought it up, we were told our only options were to go back to the store or cancel the entire order. After escalating to a supervisor and providing time-stamped photos, they finally honored the correct price--but it shouldn't have taken that much effort. Delivery day only made things worse. Three items arrived in good condition, but the fourth was broken. Instead of properly resolving it, the delivery person attempted to glue and screw the leg back on. We were then offered only 15% off or an exchange that would take 7-14 days. To make matters more frustrating, a warehouse supervisor told us a replacement was in stock and could be delivered the next day. However, when I contacted customer service (and spoke with three different representatives, including a supervisor), they were rude and insisted it would take two weeks. Worst delivery experience ever ! They delivered half pieces of a $3000 sofa and forced me to accept the delivery , promised that the rest will be sent the next day. Then did not deliver, rescheduled multiple times , and the supervisor or whoever the senior person was told me they will charge a restocking fee to take the half piece back ! If I could give **zero stars** to Living Spaces, I would. I ordered an item online that was drop-shipped to my house. First red flag? Their absurd **7-day return policy**. Seven days. That's barely enough time for most people with jobs, families, and actual lives to even evaluate a purchase. And on top of that, they charge a **restocking fee**. Oh, and if you want them to pick it up? That'll be another **$59**. How generous. Your other option is to haul it yourself to a store. Trying to do the responsible thing, I called their customer service number beforehand to confirm the return process. I was told clearly that I could return it to **any store location or warehouse**. Great. I repackaged the item, loaded it up, and drove **45 minutes** to the nearest store. When I arrived at the delivery entrance--where I was told returns are received--the employees were immediately rude and dismissive. Before I could even finish explaining, they snapped that they "don't take returns" there and that I needed to go to a warehouse location. I explained that I had just spoken to customer service and was told I could go to any store or warehouse. Their response? Disrespectfully telling me that I "called LA" and that customer service "doesn't know what they're talking about" and gave me bad information. So apparently their own company departments contradict each other--and instead of helping the customer, they blame each other. I then spoke to the store's so-called guest relations "manager," who repeated the same thing. No apology. No accountability. She eventually registered the return and handed me paperwork to take to the warehouse. I gave feedback about the obvious communication breakdown between stores and headquarters. Completely dismissed. Her response? "The warehouse is only 10 minutes away." That's not the point. The point is: * Your return window is already unreasonably short. * You charge fees on top of that. * Your staff is rude. * Your internal communication is a mess. * Customers' time matters. I still had to drive to the warehouse and complete the return there. Afterward, I called customer service again to report what happened. The representative confirmed that their policy does state returns can be made at **any location**. So the store employees were flat-out wrong--and rude about it. This location is much better than the one in Millbrae, which is much closer to my house. The selection is much larger and you don't get stopped by a salesperson every five feet. That being said, there are plenty of people around to assist you should you need it. We must have spent three hours there before deciding on which couch we wanted. Luckily, they have clean bathrooms along with complimentary coffee and water. Once our decision was made, the salesperson went over all the different options and configurations that were available. It was helpful without being overwhelming. We needed the couch to be delivered and to our surprise, there was even the same day option. Delivery prices are reasonable with a slightly lowered price if you choose a weekday. On the day of delivery, the driver kept us updated on his estimated arrival time. When they arrived, they were courteous and efficient. Once my Aunt saw the couch, she went and purchased the same one! This will now be my go to Living Spaces location. read more

If only more research was done before going to this location. I could tell you my long story about heartarch and betrayal. My saga had all the good making of (If you get this reference) the Red Wedding. There was crying, friendships were put to the test, families split apart and it was all thanks to the sales associate and her Manager. While we spent half a day discussing the couch we were getting and, most importantly, the measurements for it, it only took one minute for the salesperson to completely disregard everything we spoke about and enter the wrong sizes. My wife was the cardholder, so she would be the one signing the contract and paying for it. Unaware of the sizing that had been spoken about, she signed and paid for the couch. They even talked us into buying more furniture. So, naturally, we were ordered the wrong size by the salesperson, which was devastating! We went back to speak with her and the manager, and of course, this store hides behind the contract, not even acknowledging that the salesperson made a mistake. We had a really frustrating experience buying our couch from Living Spaces. Don't be fooled by their showroom like we were. We found a 4-seater couch that we really liked despite it being $3,500. After visiting a few other places, we decided to spend the extra money on this more expensive couch. We hoped that it would be a good quality couch worth that price. Unfortunately, that didnt turn out to be the case. Even when delivered we could tell it was a much cheaper version of the couch in the showroom and with multiple visible flaws (not to mention the flaws that are likey there that aren't visible. We found their delivery process extremely frustrating. When you buy the couch they talk up their white glove delivery and how they will give you a few-hours delivery window. Well, that's not really true. They make you choose a delivery day, once your item is ready, and the delivery time is between 8AM and 6PM! I'm a teacher, so that means I have to request an entire day of PTO. They don't tell you until the night before a 4-hour window but most employees will have had to request time off. They delivered this expensive couch only for us to be immediately disappointed with the quality and multiple flaws. The delivery folks filed a complaint as if it's something they do on most deliveries. We could tell they weren't surprised at all as if most of the furniture they deliver has issues. That made us remember when the sales person at Living Spaces recommended we get white glove delivery in case there's any issues with the couch. She likely new there'd be problems because of the quality of furniture they produce. Because of the flaws, we wanted to return or replace the couch but Living Spaces said we had to go through their repair process first before returning or replacing was an option. We were so bummed but they left us no choice. The repair technicians weren't available for 3-to-4 weeks and they wanted to schedule during a workday, which would mean our taking off more PTO from work just because this furniture was slapped together so hastily. After the delivery team left (they were in a hurry after filing the complaint) and we were better able to inspect the couch. We found a few more issues and contacted Living Spaces repair people responding to the email thread they started. We contacted them multiple times but they stopped responding after we sent them the additional issues. They just ignored us. The repair technicians eventually came and did what they could. They are a third party company hired by Living Spaces. They made some improvements to the couch but now we are stuck with an incredibly expensive piece of furniture that we know isn't the quality we thought we were buying. Not much we can do now I guess but try to share our bad experience and encourage others not to be fooled into buying from them. read more

I had a good experience with this store and bought a couple things (including a sideboard buffet cabinet for my dining room) that I got delivered to my house. Because they were items that were already in stock, the delivery occurred within a week and was very smooth. I was especially impressed with the tracking service that they gave to me the day of the delivery to let me know exactly when the furniture would be arriving at my place. Living Spaces was also very communicative with me prior to the delivery date, which I appreciated and led to no unexpected surprises. There's a reason why this store has many bad reviews. My husband fell in love with a couch at the store. It was on 08/06 and we needed it before our party on Sat 08/30 and both the sales associate and store manager promised us, several times, that it will be delivered way before our deadline. The manager even gave us his business card to be in touch. We ordered it and kept waiting for the delivery. I finally got a text from LS on 08/25 that our order is ready and we can plan a delivery date. We followed the instruction but it has 0 option for us to set up the delivery. I texted the manager and he responded and again, promised that he will work with the delivery team to speed ot up. Days went by and after many texts with 0 responses from the manager, we knew, the couch won't be delivered before our deadline. Our online order finally showed the delivery date 09/03. The worse part: we already gave away our old couch to clear the room to be ready for the new one; based on the promises of both the manager and the sales associate. Our living room won't have any couch on our party date... This company trained their employees to be so dishonest to their customers. When trust is gone, there's absolutely no way we will ever buy anything from this business anymore. My husband called customer service and was able to cancel the order... If only I could give zero stars. Lessons learned: DO NOT ACCEPT PARTIAL ORDERS FROM THEM!! I will try to condense our story. We ordered 3 bedroom sets (beds with night stands) and one sofa set for our new home. We were treated well as we came to the showroom and their "designer" helped us pick the bed size based on our mattress dimensions. We had gone to SJ showroom first and liked only one bed set for our MB but we were told that particular bed set was not available in the size we needed (based on the mattress dimensions we had given them). Later we checked out their Fremont location and found that the same bed was available in the size we needed. We were thrilled and decided to purchase all the needed furniture at one location. We understood we would receive our order in two shipments and thought no problem at all. The "designer" was friendly and even shared her phone number in case we needed further assistance. The trust was established. Our first shipment came and we received our sofa and PARTIAL ORDER FOR EACH BEDROOM. Still we were not alarmed because there was no reason to be concerned. During this waiting period of a month I called the store twice and texted the "designer" a few times just to get the information on what height of box springs I would be needing for my two out of three beds. The "designer" at first replied and said she will get the me the needed information but never did. After over a week of waiting I called the store and was assured, that per my order, I will need box spring for only ONE bed and the other two beds do not need box springs. I asked her to double check for ALL THREE beds, after being assured, I placed an order for only one box springs with them. When the second shipment arrived I was told there was no third bed in the order. I was surprised. They had already delivered partial orders for all THREE bedrooms (night stands) and we were waiting for over a month for bed frames. While I was on the phone trying to sort out what had happened to the third bed, the delivery guys set up the master bed, had me sign and left. When I moved all the disheveled bedding, from the mattress they placed on bed frame, I realized there was a large gap between the mattress and bed frame. Surely they gave us the wrong size and surely the employees in SJ store were right that that bed was not available in the size we needed. So here I am again calling them to sort this mess out. I even went to the store and the guys there were nice and said no problem we will take it back. I was happy and left in peace, thinking a little mess up with the third bed was not a big deal. Soon after I get a call on my way back home stating they will take the bed back but not the night stands which were delivered earlier in the first delivery. How is that my fault?! I was told I should have returned the nightstand within two weeks if I didn't like them. Well, I wasn't planning to return the bed so why would I return the nightstand? They kept saying this is the policy...THIS IS THE POLICY. SORRY, SORRY. But no resolution. I was told to take it up with the corporate but when you call corporate the machine asks you the name of the person to be connected to so I call the store again and ask who I can take it up to and was told NO ONE. So here we are stuck with these expensive night stands which are still sitting there with all the tags on. We felt they purposely deliver partial orders to keep you on the hook so you don't cancel anything. To say that it has been a hellish experience with Living Spaces is an understatement. So, PLEASE PROTECT YOURSELF AND DO NOT TRUST THEM TO HAVE YOUR BEST INTEREST. Do not buy anything from this store as they are not cheaper than Ashley's or Scandinavian store in SJ. We went to Living Spaces Fremont on 9/9/2025 to look for a sofa. We were greeted by their staff at the door and introduced us to Birava Saraiya. She was the sales person but she calls herself "The Designer" and we felt the attitude immediately. My wife selected a sofa with a specific color in mind and made the purchase. We are very careful in selecting our furniture's and we KNOW our colors and what we want. This was made CLEAR to "The Designer"! We made the purchase and when we were at home, we reviewed the receipt and noticed the color of the sofa was different than the one we ordered. We reviewed the receipt because Living Spaces's policy is that once the item has been delivered, return would cost restocking fee. Just an FYI to Living Spaces Management, train your sales people better and do not do Bait and Switch! In addition, your furniture store is not tier 1 so tell your sales people to be humble and use customer service to get customers to buy and don't be conniving and deceitful to make the sale. Sales people at Restoration Hardware, Roche Bobois, Thuma, etc, are at a higher tier than your store and they don't have attitudes. We were able to cancel the order without restocking fee because we caught the Store's Error in time and our last time visiting Living Spaces. We just don't like the sales approach at places like these as there are so many different and better furniture stores out there. Honesty goes a long way in business. Just tried to exchange an $800 rug (not return...exchange!) for another color and was told I couldn't because we brought it in more than 7 days later. I explained that we've been dealing with the nasty flu for the past 3 weeks that's been going around (4 of us got it...one at a time), that I called 2 times immediately after ordering the rug, and that I went back to the store the very next day to change the color and none of it was considered. I was never told about the 7 days any of those times...apparently, it's in print somewhere. I had even asked if I could contact the supplier directly to change the color (save them shipping costs)...they said I couldn't do that either. So now I'm stuck with the rug. They went on and on about their customer service when we were buying our sectional and rug...oh yeah, we even spent more money there, but still didn't matter. Never shopping there again! read more

I am finishing up a conversation with customer service and have learned a very tough lesson. The chair I received is defective. It is the Bramwell recliner chair that comes with a material flap that is velcroed to the back of the chair. Yes, velcroed. Further, the flap does not even align properly leaving a mismatched material flap or gaping/gathered look with no symmetry. This chair can only be backed up against a wall so that it is not seen. There is no picture of this in the images online and there is no description indicated a velcro seam. Secondly, the cushion stitching is so uneven that there is buckling along the cushions without a single moment of sitting. When returning, they charge for pick up and charge for restocking. If I were to exchange, they waive the restocking but then charge a shipping fee. When a new customer would receive free shipping. Perhaps this would make sense if I simply changed my mind. So, I paid 110 for delivery and assembly for a defective chair and paid 59 to return and a 10% stocking fee. This is customer service? What a shame. read more

We placed an order for a sofa on Saturday (8/23), including delivery, assembly, and the Care-Free Protection package. When it was delivered, the team said some parts didn't fit correctly and that a technician would need to be scheduled to fix the issue. We were told the technician would come within 2-4 days, and if the problem couldn't be fixed, a replacement part would need to be ordered -- which would take another 7-10 days. This is extremely disappointing. During the sales process, we were promised that the sofa would be ready to use on the scheduled delivery date. Now, we might have to wait up to two weeks, and worse, stay home multiple times -- once for the initial delivery, again for the technician, and possibly again for the final resolution. It feels like a completely avoidable hassle, and frankly, the service has been frustrating and disappointing. They know a lot about the furniture and the features that come with it. This store comes with free water and coffee if customer experience is your criteria for a good store. I don't leave negative reviews. I understand the ins and outs of business, corporate hierarchy, and that customer service is a very difficult line to walk. But this experience was absolutely terrible, across the board, and I feel I have to share. We purchased a trundle bed June 10 from Livingspaces.com. We had been in their showroom in Milpitas the previous week, and we saw something we liked and they recommended we purchase online. The delivery date was 19 days out, and we accepted that. When the delivery drivers arrived, they unloaded the bed in two boxes. Both boxes were the wrong product (a product that is not even sold on Livingspaces.com) and they were two different colors as well. We spoke to the driver, he was not allowed to take the bed back as he had "already delivered it". We called Customer Service. They apologized, and offered 15% off, and scheduled a new delivery for 3 weeks later. We were told to store the incorrect bed for this timeframe. Three weeks came and the correct bed is scheduled to be delivered. We received 21 duplicate emails (!!!) that morning confirming delivery. The truck pulled up, and before they took the boxes off the truck we asked to see them (we wanted to be cautious). They were incorrect AGAIN. Both boxes were at least the same (though both wrong) color, and again a different brand and product than what is sold on LivingSpaces.com. While the drivers were idling, we spoke to Customer Service. They told us WE made the mistake, that we "ordered the wrong product". Again, the bed that was delivered does not exist on their site. We think someone coded their product names incorrectly on the site, and that they sell different products through different retailers but their backend is one big mash-up of all the products not organized by retailer. The product name, pictures, model number - None of it exists on their website. There is no way to find it at all. The drivers took the original (incorrect) bed, as well as the replacement (also incorrect) bed when they left. It wasn't their fault at all, and they were apologetic. We were told a NEW replacement for the bed was far backordered, and may take 2 months. We can't wait any longer. It's been almost 2 months already. After three more calls over the next 2 days, we were told the best course of action was to cancel and refund the original order and they would apply the discount to a new bed we found that cost a little more but would deliver much faster. We were told to expect a call yesterday before any action was taken. We did not receive a call. Today I called - I was told the refund was processed the previous day (without a call), and they "must have forgotten to call". I was told to "make the new purchase, and then call back and we can talk about a discount". I explained I hope they understand, but based on our experience so far I don't have much faith. He told me that's what his manager told him to tell me, and put me on hold. He came back 6 minutes later, and offered "free" delivery. Delivery was ALREADY free. When I pointed this out, he clarified he meant free "indoor" delivery. I told him this held no value to us - the difference between our front porch and the indoors is 3 feet. He was unable to help further and began repeating his apologies. I asked for a manager. I was placed on hold, and a woman (I believe she said her name was "Greto", though she said it quickly and quietly. She is not allowed to give a last name) came on the line. She repeated what the previous employee said. Over and over. Sorry for your experience. We cannot offer anything further. As far as they are concerned, when the original order was canceled that completely their responsibilities for their mistakes. She also pointed out that there were no notes to the 15% offered discount, or the recommendation of cancelling the order and placing a new one, or the promise of a call. Almost nothing was noted. I asked to speak to her manager, and she said no, that is not allowed. There is no further escalation after her. This has been extremely frustrating. Extremely unprofessional, from their website coders to their quality control to their customer service to their managerial structure to their best practices. They could not have made LESS of an effort to make good on their mistakes. Based on our experience, DO NOT expect appropriate, professional, or acceptable assistance in case of any issues. We will never purchase from Living Spaces or any associated company again, we will recommend to every family member, friend, and stranger that they do not trust this company, and every time I drive by their showrooms I'll be reminded of how terrible they are. Purchased a nice couch set on 11/21, for delivery two weeks later on 12/5. Received an email confirmation of delivery the following day. On 12/4 (the day before scheduled delivery), received both an email and text confirmation of the delivery window on 12/5. On 12/5 (morning of delivery), decided to check the status of delivery online and it said "Not Scheduled" So called the phone number and was told item on backorder, and delivery was TBD. WHAT? No warning, nothing. And I find this out ON THE DAY of delivery? Unacceptable, and immediately cancelled the entire order. TERRIBLE! read more

My husband and I were shopping for sofa sets at Living Spaces in Fremont and had a great experience thanks to Taru and Annie. They greeted us warmly and answered all our questions with professionalism. After picking out a design we liked, we went home to double check our measurements and layout. When we returned two days later to place our order, they remembered us and welcomed us back with such enthusiasm! Taru and Annie took time to show us more great options we hadn't considered. They made the whole process easy and enjoyable. Even though they don't work on commission, their service was incredibly friendly and professional. Do not purchase anything from this place. All they care about is getting your money. Once that's done, good luck getting any help with anything. Oh and if you change your mind and decide you don't want the item any more, sucks to be you. Customer service is unhelpful. Managers don't care you purchased the item by mistake.
