I come here once in a while for paper craft products, decorations, boxes, and project supplies in which I may need specific material, colors, or sizes that I can't find at other stores. I recently got some cardstock, alphabet and number stickers, and more for a recent project I was working on this weekend... I even found rare andes mint chocolate bars, which I've never seen before, got me a couple on my way out. In fact, they have several funny themed candies and mints, great stocking stuffer types of gifts. The products I purchased were great, but I didn't need all of the items. So I came back a couple days later, and had no problems processing a return and refund transaction. Service is slow here at the registers, regardless of whether it's a weekend or a Monday, but they have self-checkout kiosks as well. Unfortunately, if you're returning items, you're stuck waiting. This is the best location I've visited hands down! This location has more inventory than i'm used to. There were a great deal of items that were on clearance as well! The t shirt section was STOCKED! There was a young man working at the front check out tonight 9/24 and he was sweet enough to offer my son a balloon. A gesture I found to be extremely sincere and kind. Michaels has been one of my go-to spots to get all my crafting or decorating needs. I don't know why I've ended up leaning on Michaels, but I do. It's not the cheapest, but at least they do have a coupon that you can always use just go to their website and generally you can always find a 20% off. Now this Michaels is definitely a nice one to go to as it is fairly large, high ceilings and very bright and spacious. So it makes shopping in there pleasant. Last time I was here I was searching for cake boards which they have moved since I last visited. So I had to do a little walking around to figure out where it was but that's ok. I don't mind doing a little search. The only thing I have noticed about Michaels is that the stock for certain popular items don't generally get restocked fast. Perhaps I guess I should ask a store associate if they have it in the back but I'm too shy about it. Like this last time, the cake boxes and cake boards seem to be slightly empty so I settled with one that was next best. There is only one person at check out. But as it's not super busy, I can see one. Other than that, the parking situation here is pretty easy. Lots of spaces usually empty so it's nice to shop where it's not super crowded. read more

This Michaels in Milpitas is a better location to shop at in my opinion. The Coleman location is also great place, but this one is less congested and my recent experience the associates were more upbeat (maybe because there's less store traffic). I went in for one thing, but ended up getting faux, flickering candles with a timer. This candle type has been in the market for awhile and not sure why I did not check these out sooner! I'm impressed so far with how it creates that warm ambiance most of us desire. Price point is decent considering I've seen these candles at the higher end home stores. And, most importantly, it's safer than regular candles... peace of mind. Just got the wax melts in the background and I'm good! Glad I found these at Michaels in Milpitas. read more

I had placed an order online and to be picked up. I was not able to pick it up and I extended via their website. However, I wasn't able to pick up my orders despite the extension due to self quarantine. I called up the manager and explained my situation, he was very friendly and was able to extend my pick up window and left a note on my order to left their staff know not to rerun my order. I thought this is very nice that they were able to make the accommodation. Besides their friendly staff, the store is clean and organized. New Michael's location alert and I'm in LOVE!! I arrived to the old establishment and was super bummed to see that my favorite craft store had "gone out of business". Little did I know, the business simply moved into a different building [still within the McCarthy Ranch Shopping Center]. The store in itself seems a bit smaller than the last imo but the cleanliness, brightness, and organization aspect is out of this world. Parking should not and will not be an issue- It's flippin' MASSIVE. Everything I needed and wanted was available at my fingertips. There wasn't any customer service going on from the employees but I enjoy wandering at my own pace and exploring each aisle. Large and spacious Michaels. They had a fair amount of clearance items and coupons available via QR Code. I found a larger number and variety of safety eyes (for crochet animals) at this location and a reasonable amount and variety of yarn (which was on sale at the beginning of January!). Near by are a large number of restaurants so this is a great place to stop in and get some crafting supplies. read more

I think I've come here multiple times to get a various of different items since the store locations near me were always sold out of the items and so I had to drive to this location couple times. Every time I call and do stock check and when I also need assistance in the store.. the employee's here are super helpful and make sure they answer all your questions and adhere to all your requests. I like Michaels. They have a ton of arts and craft products, pictures frames, the works. A great place to make your house/party just a tad nicer. They used to be across the street, but for whatever reason they moved. The location size is pretty much the same, so not sure why they moved? Any care to share why? I went in looking for a couple things for my planner. The whole front of the store was filled with Christmas and holiday decor. This is my first time at their new location(smaller than the place across the street) I wandered around the store and eventually found what I was looking for (and on sale, yay) but it would've been nice to see someone on the floor so that I could ask and be pointed in the right direction for what I was looking for. I went around 1 PM on Monday, and I know you wouldn't think that it would be busy but it was actually pretty packed. It seems like they knew to expect more traffic around the holiday season because they had a very long section for where to form a line to pay for your items. read more

Today's experience was great because of 3 things: 1) the store had great sales especially Fall, 2) the environment was clean and well stocked and 3) we were greeted by Sarah, the cashier. She was very friendly. Sad to say, you don't see that kind of customer service anymore. Also while she was ringing up someone, she had warned customers in line to be careful because a patron dropped a glass on the floor. 1. I don't care for this new location. The old one was brighter and felt more like a craft store. This one is like a confusing warehouse - lacking light and has a cold vibe. 2. They keep advertising 'free pick-up at store', but yet EVERY item I ever wanted online shows 'inventory information not available' at this location, so I try to call and check if inventory is available and get put on hold for 15 minutes, and that is after giving them a SKU #. They can't check by SKU# and have to actually hunt through the store like the customers. I appreciate their honesty and willingness to help me look. BUT there is a SERIOUS problem with the store INVENTORY if even the employees can't confirm whether they have a specific SKU or not. And if it takes them more than 15 minutes to find something, how long will it take a customer who is not as familiar with the layout??? read more

It's sad to say that this plaza is way past its prime. On the bright side, there's a TON of parking! Customer service at checkout was fine, the store was mostly empty. There's a decent amount of stuff on clearance and be sure to check out those signs above each aisle to find what you're looking for! The brush pens I was looking for were actually located in two different parts of the store. I came home to find that one of the pens was totally dried out so I'll have to go back for a refund, no fun. Hopefully, the store will be as empty of customers as I always remember and I'll be helped within a few minutes. The one downside of the store being so empty is that I saw a lot of empty shelf space. In looking for pens, a lot of colors and packages were out of stock and my options were limited. Remember to go online for savings, they always have coupons for at least 30-40% off an item! :) read more
