Had a great time visiting this card shop while shopping in this Santa Clara plaza! It's a medium sized shop with lots of merchandise from boxes, video games and cards from sports, pokemon, and one piece! It's a clean shop with lots of merchandise protected by glass windows and neatly labeled with the price. It's a bit on the higher side from card shops I've been to. It's fun to see families enjoy pokemon with their kids! It's so cool to interact with other pokemon fans who are passionate about collecting.

Came in to scope out some cards and they had some rare ones. I like how the good stuff is locked up. The prices are fair. They have a good selection of vintage consoles if nostalgia is your thing. Maybe I'll cop some cards in the future trip back here.

GameTime is a complete store. They have some Pokemon boxes, but not alot. I saw alot of sports cards. They sell singles and slabs. They also have a large inventory of video games. The employee there was really helpful and knowledgeable.

I absolutely love game time! This is a sister store to one of my favorite shops in Milpitas (Retro Rewind). They specialize in video games and card games. The staff and owners are very knowledgeable and helpful when recommending fun video games. They do also do trades toward store credit or cash, they don't rip you off either they actually give you a good amount or even more than expected sometimes. The pricing seems very fair as well. I will be back soon to add to my growing collection.

They say online they open at 11, but today they chose not to without any signage or phone message.

I was worried going in, because 1.) I have a very low opinion of the current culture surrounding…read moreretro gaming, collecting, and reselling. It's really disgusting how 80% of people in the hobby are larping manchildren that are no better than TCG resellers. 2.) I find that retro game shops across the US are generally really terribly ran with insane pricing, dirty interiors, bad selection, and rude staff. I'm happy to say that Gameshop Downstairs is the SOLE EXCEPTION. Their staff are very polite and genuinely want to help you find what you're looking for, even when swamped with customers on a busy day. Their selection is unlike anything I have seen in any game shop in the entire NorCal region, especially for late 2000s-2010s era games such as Wii, DS, and 3DS. I also appreciate that they have a wide selection of DVDs and BluRays - old anime, movies, and cartoons alike. They even regularly stock CRTs, and while a bit expensive, they do in fact sell at fair market price. On that note, their pricing is extremely fair, and even the more contentious pricing I saw was actually on the dot with fair market pricing when checking online. Even if some things are slightly marked up, I think they easily make up for it with the sheer amount of stuff they carry. I can't emphasize enough how good their collection is, I spent a whole hour here. The museum is really cool too. The mix of 80s-90s and 2000s-2010s gear made it a perfect trip for my Dad & I, since that represents the generations of technology we grew up with respectively.

They have new school, old school video game, consoles games, movies and Pokémon cards. I just wish that they were open on Sundays. It was easily one of the better GameStop locations in Silicon Valley. As an action figure collector this store consistently stood out. While the selection was not massive there was always variety and more often than not I would find something I was actually looking for. Sometimes the hardest to find figure was just sitting there on the peg waiting for me. I cannot say the same for the other nearby locations. Fun fact I live right across from the GameStop at Great Mall. The staff there is friendly and they almost never have anything in stock. I might get lucky two or three times a year. Because of that I would gladly make the drive to Saratoga instead. The staff here was always friendly and the store had that slightly overstocked feel that collectors appreciate. It may not have had the latest and greatest every time but there was always something worth browsing. Value wise, with the price of everything going up in figures especially I don't see this trend ending of closures That is why it pains me to see this location close its doors.

Legends is a great place for finding collectibles and trading cards. I've been to this location…read moremultiple times and the employees were all very nice. During my most recent visit, the store was very busy (the checkout line was almost out the door!) but I was able to stop by and pick up the newest issues of The New Batman Adventures and X-Men. I asked an employee if they carried any Batman Beyond, but they didn't. (He was really nice and said he wished they carried more of it though!) This specific location of Legends has a very limited comic/manga selection and no back issues. If you're looking for comics, I recommend going to the Legends location at Eastridge Mall, which has a better selection of trade paperbacks, back issues, and current issues. This Valley Faire location sells mostly trading cards, collectibles/statues/figurines, Funkos, and board games. Overall, I still like coming here even though I don't always buy something! I always come back to look around at new items when I find myself in the Valley Faire area.

Very Disappointing Experience at the New Location…read more I was a loyal customer at their old location. They would always ask what I was looking for, and it felt like a very human experience. This time, I was looking for a card for my baby cousin, but I will not be returning to the new location after my experience today. I walked in and was completely ignored, albeit it is standard for a deadbeat college student not to give a fuck. My main problem was when I threw my trash into the trash can, like most people would. Twenty minutes later, while I was browsing all the pretty cards, the worker came up to me to say that the trash can is not for consumables and shoved it back into my hand in the rudest way possible. That being said, I do understand that they don't give a fuck. They're just there to make ends meet and want to continue the banter with the coworker who was allegedly an hour late. To be quite honest, I usually just take rude interactions and move on with my life, because life would be miserable if everyone started pointing fingers. It would just start a game of he said, she said, and I would rather keep the peace, but this experience just has to be heard. It was unprofessional, rude, and lazy. If your staff is more interested in gossiping than serving customers, you have a serious training and management problem at this new location. Realistically, nobody important is going to give a fuck, since people just come and go in most places, but for this experience, I just thought I'd let my thoughts be heard. All that being said, the products were great, just the workers there were not the greatest. I guess if you Wana just window shop or just enter and not be bothered it's the perfect place for you. Just don't toss ur trash in their trash. I understand that there j Is a trash can like 30 feet away just the way they were t about it was the most immoral way about jr.
