Previously went to their other location, which I assume is the first and was recommended to go to this one if I wanted to get repairs done to consoles I had. Which is exactly what I did. Brought in my old GBA SP which had a busted screen, I've watched videos on how to fix it, but wanted to also swap out the shell. So after countless videos of people saying the trickest part is the hinges, I figured it was best left for the professionals. I also wanted to mod the GBA SP charging port to a USB-C but with Eli's insight, replacing the screen with an IPS and upgrade to USB-C it would probably be better to just buy an entirely new Modded GBA SP. So I just stuck with the shell swap and new IPS screen. We ordered the parts from Ebay as he showed me what was available on 3/28/2026 and called me 4/9/2026 to let me know it was ready for pick up so roughly a 3 week turn around since he had to wait for the parts to be delivered. Finally had it back in my hands and it was beautiful, 15 settings on the brightness and it opened and close with those satisfying clicks the OEM came in. Couldn't be happier, I will say the buttons do rotate when I'm gaming a little too hard, but nothing like rotating them back into their place fixes it. As for the shop itself, BEAUTIFULY CLEAN, it's spotless and they really make this place feel like gamer heaven. Such a cool find! I love me a retro game shop so I can drown in all the nostalgia. So many to look at here, I can easily spend hours looking at games and probably go home broke. The owner is super helpful and chill. We came with some games we were thinking of getting and found them all. I even found games I forgot I loved so much. I think their price is fair, better than getting stuff online. I also love that they will clean disk for you for free and have the 2 week return policy. I got a FFIX game and it wasn't working and I got to return it no problem and got a replacement. I was also having issues with my PS1(that I have had for a very long time) and was told pretty much it's too expensive to fix and better retire it. They didn't try to sell me another one because they said it will have the same issues in the future. I also didn't know PS2 and PS3 is backwards compatible to PS1. Saved me some money. lol I also found out the shop owner used to own Retro Rewind in Milpitas which I also frequent before. Came by here for the first time after visiting their other location and I'm very impressed with the selection here. I feel like this store has a lot more rare stuff than their other location plus it's a lot bigger. I was glad it was slow today so it was just me alone shopping and browsing which was nice. I love that they have a lot of everything even vintage consoles and a lot of games. I had my eye on a clear gameboy pocket from the other location and they had one here so I figured I'd pick it up. Pricing wasn't too bad for it, and I was looking at price tags for some of the items and I didn't think it was too much especially since you're able to see the condition in person and take it home the same day. Save N Continue is great, the customer service here is fantastic, the store is very organized and I wasn't even mad about the prices for a used gameboy. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could! These guys are scammers. Offered me $27 (a $20 game trade + tax and $5 in cash) for 6 games. They didn't say anything about a buyback rate, just checked if one of the games was real, and then glanced over the other games and made the offer without checking their prices online at all. They're selling some of their games at both locations for 2x eBay prices. The games I brought in can be found used online (GameStop and eBay) for a total of $150+. Not worth your time if you're looking for a fair deal on either a trade or even just a regular purchase. read more

Most retro game stores are cramped, Save N Continue is one of the few that has enough space to avoid that problem. The owner is very knowledgeable and easy to talk with. I had a special request for modding a GameCube and he came up with a reasonable price for the job. The prices here aren't super Poggers but that's just how it is for any retro game store these days. I was charmed the first time I visited because they were playing Pokemon Colosseum on their store GameCube. As a big fan of Pokemon, this was a good sign to me. I purchased some accessories, inquired about repairs, and asked to be added to their wishlist. A great first visit, though I did feel like they were charging too much for some titles. For example, they had Pokemon Box listed for $3,500 in early 2025. Up until then, I'd never seen a copy for more than $2,000 online. I asked why it was so expensive and the gentleman working the counter said "you don't see copies of this game just lying around". I came back once more with a DS to repair. I was told it would be $30-35, but it was actually $45. I was too shy to ask why the price changed and I assumed that they charged me more because they did extra work. However, I played the DS later and discovered that some buttons like "A" and "B" were struggling to make contact and were not very responsive. I didn't like being charged more than the quoted price and then receiving incomplete service. The final straw that ousted me came when I saw Pokemon Box again on their shelves. Mind you, this was months after seeing it during my first visit. I asked if it was still $3,500 and they laughed and said "No, it's $6,000". I felt like leaving right then and there. Why would you alienate your customer base so much with such exorbitant prices? I paid $59.99 for Super Smash Bros only to see it online later for far less. I'm sorry, but that made me feel dumb for supporting this business instead of just buying things online. In my opinion, this store is acceptable for basic repairs, but shop for games elsewhere and save. read more

I've been here twice and I can't recommend it. Sure the place is clean and has a lot of great games. That's where it ends. They mark everything up by more than 40% than eBay. I want to support business owners but that's ridiculous. I asked the gentleman behind the counter why a SNES game that goes $70-$90 was priced at $169. He said well you don't see it that often and it's in great condition. I turned it over and the back label was torn and in terrible shape. His response was than I could replace the back. I was dude than it's not original. Why should I pay more than eBay prices. His logic was to say you wouldn't sell a $90 game to your friend for $45. I said a game is worth what it's market rate is. He didn't even counter offer me. I was so disgusted with his blatant mark up and smug response that I will never go there again. I will admit it was the first time I had ever seen the Skyblazer in the wild but it was loose and not in great condition on the back. He also had a loose sparkster for SNES for $240. Guy is greedy and will take anyone as a chump. read more

The shop did an excellent job of repairing the power port on my SNES. There are not too many folks with the expertise to handle these types of repairs. I am grateful for the flawless service. PS.
