This place has tons of anime stuff so you can definitely get your otaku on. Ohh yea. It also has lots of various stationary, toys, stamps, magnets, glassware, fans and other Japanese-arts, crafts & gifts. I like coming here a lot, its a cute and friendly store. The staff is always helpful and friendly. They try to be there for you. I usually just come in here to browse and look at the cool anime stuff. I bought a neko bus from "My neighbor Totoro" from here. http://www.fluctuat.net/cinema/chroniques/images/totoro.jpg Prices seem reasonable, as most anime things are really expensive anyway. They also have a dvd rental/sell store downstairs. I would love to have a membership here and watch anime. Too bad I'll be addicted and not study for college.

My 4-year-old is obsessed with anything with 4 wheels, so getting back into RC with him has been such a blast. We came out to get my 2WD buggy on their awesome indoor carpet track and let my son check everything out. The whole experience was great. The track is fantastic, and the shop had such a welcoming vibe. One of the highlights was their indoor rock crawling area. We had been wanting to try crawling, and Will was kind enough to loan us a crawler to test out. Needless to say... we ended up leaving with one! Overall, we had an awesome time. Everyone was super friendly, helpful, and made us feel right at home. Can't wait to come back for more track time and check out some of the upcoming events. Be sure to support your local hobby shop!

His honesty made us feel comfortable about what we needed to purchase and was very welcoming to the RC community, by welcoming us back to tryout the facility they have there, which was pretty dope. As a Noob, it could be very intimidating walking into a store full of equipment and not knowing what to get. My wife and I felt none of that, as we were helped with great service and left knowing that I'll be coming back for parts later. The indoor track and "crawl park" (if that's what it's called), was very impressive and the atmosphere was welcoming along with the patrons that were there. Spend your money here if you're looking for great knowledge & service as well as a place to run your RC.

Believe me! I come from the Monterey Bay Area every other Sunday and I enjoy just browsing at times, it's that nice. The shop has a good variety of of gunpla, Figma/sh figuarts, other nick nacks like nippers and stickers, they even carry P-Bandai at times! They have a very vast collection of Hg's all the way from Gundam AGE to the newish GQuuuuuux series, though there's not as Mg's as Hg's their selection is still quite the treat! Their Rg's are spread a bit thin at the moment but that's honestly a problem from Bandai as they're not releasing that many Rg's now a days. And lastly of course the Pg's, I don't really remember which specific Pg's I saw but I know I saw at least 2 of them in their which is very nice . Their pricing is very nice as it stays close to the original Japanese price and if not it's maybe no more than a dollar increase. The staff there are also very nice and I love to have brief conversations with the (I believe is) owner of the shop about what's new or when they get a new shipment. This spot is a hidden Gem and I highly recommend going there if you're in town or have been simply considering if or if not to go. 10 out of 10 shop and it's a pleasure being able to grow up going to such a nice shop

The wife and I were walking around Japan town on Saturday and I poked my head into one of the…read morestores there looking for a new Gundam kit but there was only one. I asked the owner and he mentioned Tatsu hobby as it wasn't far away. First off, this place is kind of hard to find as it is in a completely nondescript industrial complex and far back from the street. There is no way you would just be driving around and come across this place, you have to be searching for it. Also the layout of the store is weird. You first enter into a small room with a couple of display cases, (nothing you can buy I think), with a small desk and a cash register to the right. There was a small man sitting there having a conversation with a person so I wasn't quite sure what to do. My first thought was, "This is it?" But then I noticed there is another room through a open door in the back, so I proceeded through. This is where the kits actually are. The main room is pretty cramped with a few shelves of kits and a table that 3 people were sitting eating at and having nerdy discussions. I wanted to ask a question but I wasn't sure if they worked there or not. I didn't really see that there was really any sort of organization to the store other than the Gundams pretty much seem to be along the rear of the room and other types of kits are near the front. My biggest gripe is that none of the boxes have a price sticker on them. You have to ask the guy up front. Lame. And the couple of kits I asked about were priced higher than other places I normally buy from like Newtype. I'll just stick with Newtype in Union City from now on. Unfortunately they are only open M-F but they do ship and I usually get my orders in a day or two. I wouldn't bother going to Tatsu again.

When I first walked in, the box was clearly marked at $359.99. I went to the counter, and to be fair, the employee was helpful and gave me a reasonable offer of $365 in store credit, which I agreed to. No issues there. But when we walked over to grab the hobby box, the price had suddenly jumped to $510.99. That's a huge difference, and it happened while I was literally in the store. When I pointed it out, I was told they were "updating prices" and that they could only honor the original price if I had taken a picture of it. That's not how you run a business. Changing prices during store hours--especially while a customer is actively making a purchase--is unprofessional and unfair. Expecting customers to take pictures of price tags just in case they change minutes later is ridiculous. I understand prices fluctuate, especially in collectibles, but updates like that should be handled before opening or after closing--not in the middle of a transaction. This experience left a bad impression, and I'd be cautious about doing business here again.

The employee with black hair and glasses came across as rude toward another customer, speaking in a condescending manner and appearing to assume the customer was a scalper. Watching this interaction felt uncomfortable and unnecessary. When other customers tried to ask questions, the same staff member was dismissive and rolled his eyes a few times, which made the overall atmosphere feel unwelcoming. A store like this should feel fun and inviting, especially for collectors and fans who are genuinely excited to be there. That said, I want to be clear that I do like this store overall and have had positive experiences with other staff members in the past, who have always been friendly and helpful. This particular interaction stood out in an unfortunate way and left me feeling disappointed.
