He wanted to stop by to check out the RC cars and boats, and even he was surprised by how much the store had changed since the last time he visited! There was honestly so much to look at. They have a HUGE variety of RC stuff--cars, trucks, boats, planes, parts, accessories, different bodies, and so much more. They even work on and repair RC cars there, which is really convenient. For me, the coolest part was the indoor RC track! Since this was my first time here, I was honestly amazed watching everyone race their little RC cars around the track . I didn't realize how big of a hobby this was, so it was actually really fun to watch. They also have an entire rock-crawling room with rocks, bridges, ramps, and different obstacles for the RC trucks, which was really cool to see. The guy working there was also really nice. He greeted us when we came in and answered all of my husband's questions. He was friendly and took the time to talk to us without making us feel rushed. They also had several Monster Jam RC trucks, which immediately caught my attention . I specifically asked about the Sparkle Smash truck. They didn't have that particular one, but he said they might get it later on. He also told us to come back because they're having a Monster Jam event soon, and now I'm actually interested in coming back for it! My husband already knew about this place, but as a first-time visitor, I was really impressed. I thought he judged how we looked. (I'm 19 & Asian.) His attitude was a bit rude. I'm not sure if he had a bad day. Very unprofessional. I would have been fine if he had simply said "no" or "sorry, I can't do offers." But the cards had no price tags, & he didn't give me the price he wanted. My little sister & I left the store after that interaction. We've been to many shows & stores & all had positive conversations. It's our first time we got called a name with negative association. The location is a near the 101 offramp, in industrial center, generally used for Mechanics and small shops. It was not too hard to find and there seems to be ample parking. Once i walked inside, there were 100s of built kits in a display, which is very cool to look at. I believe the owner, greeted me and asked if it was my first time. I answered "yes" and asked for recommendation for my son. He recommended for a Pokemon Kit or and SD kit as they were easy to build and would be a good start. Once i walked into the main area, there was a plethora of kits available. Lots of Gundam and other anime figures were available. I ended up deciding on Rising Freedom Gundam SD Kit for my son as it looked fairly straight forward. For myself i decided to get a RG Kit, which looks like more detailed than the kits i built during my high school days. Once i was ready, i spoke to the owner on the cost and it was lower than what i would have purchased online and we had a short chat. Overall i really enjoyed looking around and having nostalgia of looking at some of the Gundams from when i was younger. P.S. My son was able to build the kit. Took a little bit of help for stickers and helping him follow the instructions but it went pretty well.

I went to their website specified the details of my order with notes to rush it to me once it comes in. I was ready to pay and even drive there to pounce on the hard-to-find pre-order kit to surprise my son. With great anticipation, we waited and waited and didn't hear a pip from Tatsu. Christmas came and went. New Year came and left. No news or any form of communication from Tatsu. In between, I called several times and was to the same thing, order from their so-called skimpy amateurish elementary website. Three years later, I have still not gotten any response from Tatsu. It was a massive disappointment, no doubt. I felt like a failure to my kid. This is a very belated gripe, which I need to award Tatsu.

I was surprised to find they moved to a new location but judging by the photos online I trusted it would be just as great. Turns out it looks like a tornado ran through the store and they just threw whatever would stick to the wall. Random merchandise everywhere with no cohesive organization. I couldn't even anticipate where to find anything I was looking for. The most organized part of the store was the table that had their photo card folders. All of their shelves had albums haphazardly tossed in groups that you had to guess what you were looking at. They also had some that looked opened and damaged just sitting there. For an advertised Kpop store they barely had any. 60% of the store was random nicknacks, photocard organizers, "kawaii" items, and whatever they could think of to make the store look full. All of that could have been much more palatable of their customer service wasn't so awful. Went and greeted the staff with a bright "Hello" and got a very flat "hi" from a disinterested girl behind the counter. Two girls and neither of them made me feel like I was welcome there. Service here is shockingly lame and rude. I wasn't expecting that before I came in because I had a polar opposite experience on the phone with them. I actually called two days ahead to ask if they had something in stock that I needed sooner rather than later and couldn't find anywhere else nearby (not even at the other locations). They had one left and the guy on the phone was super nice when I asked if it would be alright if they held it for two days. He didn't even hesitate and set it aside for me. When I went in to pick it up, I was met with stone cold silence from the guy behind the counter. There was another guy in front of the counter who I assumed was a customer at first, but when they stopped talking and he went back to working, I realized he was an employee too. Neither said a single word to me or my brother when we walked in, the only customers in the store. They saw us, kept talking to each other, and ignored us. Even when I was standing right in front of the guy behind the counter, looking at stuff at the front of the cash wrap, he didn't say a word, making it painfully obvious he was pretending I wasn't there. It was blatant enough to make me feel awkward and very clearly unwanted in the store. Even his phone demeanor was disgruntled. Within a handful of seconds and the customer's first question, annoyance was creeping into his voice and he was doing everything to end the call as soon as possible. I worked retail for five years at a GameStop. I'm of the mind that employees should be making the first greeting when someone walks in. Customers can take their business anywhere but they've decided to take it to you -- do the bare minimum as a worker and person and say, "Hi, welcome in." When it finally came time to pay, dude behind the counter had the enthusiasm of a corpse and personality of a wet sock. Totally transactional. Even my brother, who tried to make very minimal small talk, was unsuccessful with getting any reaction out of the guy. Great place to go if you love tabletop games, board games, and getting treated poorly. Not so great if you're a card collector, especially Pokémon.
