We've been to Floor & Decor many times and always been a great experience. We've probably been to the Milpitas location one the most, several times at least for tile, LVP, and Schluter tile edging. Service is consistently approachable and friendly, which is very hard to find in the home improvement industry. This store is expansive, clean, and much easier to shop than all the other independent tile places. Easy process to buy and return samples, plenty of selection, and you can shop at your own pace with all the information well presented on each item. Prices are very reasonable, plus there's lots of clearance options also available if you're on a tight budget. Special shout out to Don, who was super helpful with tile mosaics. He immediately took us to exactly the color/style/size of tile we were looking for, gave insightful comments, and placed tiles next to each other to help us imagine different combinations for our project. read more

Lots of product, good prices. 2 stars because i was promised delivery on a Monday morning. Nope. Tuesday? Nope. No one called to tell me of any delay. I complained through my contractor and F&D called and said delivery would be Wednesday in the morning. I stayed home. Delivery was well into the afternoon (2:20). The flooring was dropped off in front of my front door, impeding traffic. My contractor's team had left at noon, and weren't expected back for 2 days. The driver wouldn't move the flooring, saying he was only a part time driver. I called F&D at 2:30. They said "O dear" and that someone would call me back tomorrow. Sort of like "Sorry you have a problem that we caused, but we're in no rush to fix anything". Really? read more

We needed a backslash for a kitchen so a friend told us to check our Floor & Decor. Tons of choices! Think Costco for tile. We found a polished marble we liked but weren't ready to buy yet. Over the next few weeks, the price fluctuated on the web site -- at first for less than $1 per square foot but then jumped $2.50. Not to worry. When we were ready to purchase, we showed them the online price and they price matched. Score! The 12 boxes were fairly heavy. No issue either. Pull around to the side and they load it into your vehicle. One small thing: this is mostly floor and not much decor. read more

I purchased tile and had an issue with the tiles looking different. I was probably given tiles from 2 different batches/pallets. Unfortunately we didn't notice that until after the install. I spoke to Bryant about the issue and he was very helpful with the situation and understood how much of an inconvenience it was. He was able to quickly resolve the issue. Two words: Don't bother Location: super easy to find as its right off the freeway. Plenty of parking with priority parking in front for EV & hybrid vehicles. Stock: they seemed to have a lot to choose from. It was pretty clean and well laid out. Floor samples for purchase needed to be organized and re-stocked, for sure. There were lots of empty sample bins and tons in the wrong place. Service: terrible. Or maybe more non-existent. I kid you not - we had at least 7 employees pass us in the time we were there, less than 30 min., and NOT 1 of them asked if we needed any assistance. The one friendly face I did see and ask for help was legitimately helping someone else at the time, but said she'd send a colleague over. Well, they never came. And I'm not about to beg... There were was a group of 4-5 employees hanging out talking about next break, and it was like we were invisible. Even as we walked toward the exit, passed several folks, not one person said one word. Unreal, happy to spend my money elsewhere. So if you're looking for actual customer service, you won't find it here. If you know exactly what you want and do not require any assistance, you may be ok. Will definitely NOT be back. read more

This place is phenomenal for all your flooring and tiling needs. I'm just doing a small tile project that requires a very specific tile size. Well, they have everything here. They have big and small tiles, floor tiles, hardwood flooring, laminate flooring, grout, mortar, and all your installation needs. When you first walk in, it's very overwhelming because the place is huge. But it is also very neat and well organized, and there are overhead signs for each category of products. The prices are also very clearly marked. Following the overhead signs, we quickly found the tiles we were looking for all on our own, and they have the size we needed. Another huge plus is you can purchase individual tiles. I had shopped online for hours and every time I found the tile I wanted, it was always sold by the case. But not here, which is great when you just have a small project. When it came time to purchase the mortar, we were overwhelmed by the choices. We found someone to help us, and he was really knowledgeable and gave us great advice. When we asked if the bag came in a smaller size, he wasn't sure so he flagged down another salesperson for us. The second salesperson was also very helpful and directed us to other products that we would need for installation. We found everything here for our project and the price was lower than we expected. After coming here we feel so much more confident about doing this project ourselves. read more

There was the great selection of vinyl plank flooring and bathroom tile options we really liked. This ends the positive portion of the review. We walk in at 6:45 pm on a Thursday night and three employees are standing there chatting. They look up for a moment, then go right back to their conversation. Not a "Welcome in" or a "What can we help you folks find?" or even a simple "Hi." We start looking at the flooring for a while, and were passed by employees multiple times, and not a single word as to whether we need help or have a question. One employee walks by with a look like he hates life. We find the flooring we want, then go look at bathroom tiles. We find a beautiful tile we want, and then go looking for the employees. No idea where they went. We finally find the same three and they are still chatting away about personal stuff as we stand a few feet away waiting for a moment to interject so we can ask for help. Do they acknowledge us? Nope. My girlfriend said to not even bother speaking up, as they clearly don't care about customers. While Home Depot doesn't have as many options, we found ones we are happy with online, and are leaving in an hour to go get it there, and spend the $3500 we had set aside for our purchase that we would have made at Floor & Decor if their employees gave a single ounce of care. Our local Home Depot has amazing employees that go out if their way to make you feel welcome, and EVERY employee that passes you asks if you need assistance. That is customer service. We had never been to Floor & Decor before, and were excited because we heard about their huge selection. While other Floor & Decor locations may potentially have great, or at least better customer service, we will never find out if we ever have future flooring or bathroom needs. First impressions are extremely important, and unfortunately the night employees of the Milpitas location forever soured our impression of this company, who they hire, and how they train their employees. read more

Full disclaimer: I came in to buy samples only so this review is based on that. This is a great place to come for design ideas and options when it comes to flooring (no carpet). There is a lot of free parking and the store is large so it never felt crowded. For many of the items, the displays were not in line with the sample numbers, so it was a bit frustrating to not find things. However, I did find several samples that I was very satisfied with and they were only 0.50 cents each. I was a bit overwhelmed with the vast amount of options of materials and designs. I saw a couple who spent $45 on tile samples (about 10) to take home and they were told they can return them undamaged with receipt which I think is pretty good. This store has WAY more options than a Home Depot or Lowe's hence the feeling overwhelmed. I got a lot of great ideas of what I want in my condo, bathroom and kitchen and they had a nice mix of styles (traditional, modern, trendy). read more

Worked with designer Rashmeet Kaur to design 2.5 bathrooms - the master bathroom on which we spent $$$$, apparently is the wrong size tile for offset (THEY ARE NOT 15*30 but 29.13*13.98) - why wouldn't you say this when we buy the tiles? Would highly recommend coming here if you need flooring, tiles, and material. ~~~ Came to Floor & Decor during COVID and they made sure to have signs reminding people of social distancing and had someone standing outside greeting us. We walked around and found the tile we wanted. When we were at the grout section, we were a bit clueless to what to pick. The staff there were super informative and when we showed him a picture of the tile we wanted, he told us what color was used on the display and which kind of grout to use (depending if we were doing the project ourselves or if we had a contractor). Afterwards, he also asked what else we needed go buy and directed us to the trims. Based on wavey white tile we had, he recommended the 3/8th trim because the average thickness of the tile was 3/8th. Once we picked everything, the associate helped scan all the items we had and placed our order for us. All we had to do was go to the cashier, tell them we want to pick up the tiles today and pay. After we paid, they told us to drive around to the pick up and give them our order number. The lady there asked if we wanted water and gave us ice water. When our tiles were ready, they opened our trunk and helped us place everything nicely inside. I would highly recommend coming here for your tile purchases. read more

After visiting 3 other tile stores and either being rushed through the design and selection process or not having anyone approaching me for assistance at all, I decided to go to Floor & Decor. It's a huge facility with a lot of selection. A designer named Jessica approached me and offered assistance. After speaking with her about the project and what I both needed and wanted, she guided me through a number of tile selections and explained the pros, cons and what I should keep in mind before making my final choices. After matching up tile needed for my bathrooms and kitchen backsplash, she helped me to select the grout. (I wasn't aware that there are so many choices when it comes to grout.) When I wet to the cashier to ring up my purchase, I was very pleased at the cost of my purchase. I would definitely recommend this store for your tile needs. read more

They do have verity of flooring options and store is well set up but customer service is horrible. I think it's the issue with store owners who just want to have skeleton crew supporting 100,000 sq ft store so I don't blame employees for not fulfilling requests on time. I placed an order for pick up worth $1500 as website suggested I can pick up one day later but when I call the store they are not able to tell me when order will be ready whether in 1d or 7d. They are asking me to keep checking by calling next day. I have contractors on site as I am remodeling multiple bathrooms so getting material in house in a key. Not fulfilling order on time and on top not telling me when will it be ready is no no. Cancelling it now.
