This Target trumps all the others I've been to (used to frequent SSF, used to always go to San Mateo, and occasionally a few of the SJ locations). I know there's another location in Cupertino (on Stevens Creek), which i have visited a handful of times, but there's a slight difference in pricing of stuff (except for advertised sale items which are priced the same in all stores). For example, an item 'x' is $1.75 at sunnyvale, but at cupertino item 'x' is $1.99. While this may not be true for all store items, the 'necessities' on my shopping list def. reflect this price diff, hence why i will always choose the sunnyvale location). In fact, its the best priced compared to its sister stores in the pennisula as well. (lol trust me i think I spent a good 6-7 months making shopping comparisions, complete with lists and everything - i know im crazy but just let me be, was going thru a phase and somehow this was my "therapy" lol).
This target is usually in stock of everything including their sale items (which in other stores get snagged way too quickly). The store is pretty dang clean (cept a few hiccups in the cafe area, which sometimes can get pretty thrashed)...
I have always had great experiences with their customer service. In fact, I've only had one bad customer service situation from Target, and that was last year at another location (Cupertino). I'm almost always with my son (who is 2 now) and have never had anyone mistreat us even when he's at his crankiest.
There is literally a ton of parking (all shaded to boot).... if the ground floor is full (occasionally during weekends, but def during the holiday shopping time), you can always park in the "pear" parking garage. Another option is park on the side street by the condominiums/apts but why bother.
I love the layout (which by the way if you didnt already know, they have brochure type maps of the store layout by the customer service desk... yes, not necessary but if your anal like that, they are available). From the ground floor you will have to either stair it up, elevator it (there are 2 very spacious elevators) or use the escalators to get to the main shopping 'arena'. If your parked in the garage 2nd level, you can just cross the walkway and are immediatly on the shopping level. note: the elevators are a little slow but great for strollers and carts with your kids in it. If you've bought a cart full of items, again the elevators are great but if you've no kids use that fancy escalator designed specifically for your carts, its faster than the elevator.
Anyways, i love this particular store coz of price, convenience, service, the large cafe area which has a licensced Starbucks store, AND the clean bathrooms (bonus esp when with kid/preggo). read more
