This is the most beautifully located Target ever - the view of the Bay, the Richmond Bridge, and Mt Tam is simply spectacular. There is even a hiking trail that starts right from the parking lot! Wow, Target with a view of the Bay. They really should build homes on top of Target. This store is nice and clean and HUGE. It is a bit off the beaten path to get to it but worth the detour. If I lived in the area, I would definitely come here again for my Target needs and then hangout and take in the Bay view. read more

*** Target Pharmacy San Rafael, You Always Make My Day! *** I L-O-V-E the Target Pharmacy in San Rafael. Recently I was thinking about why I find myself going out of my way to fill all my prescriptions there, and here's what I came up with: More and more often these days, I have experiences at various retailers or restaurants that make me *sigh* and wonder what ever happened to a little pride in one's work, good follow-through, and/or plain old customer service. NOT AT TARGET San Rafael. Every single time I've gone in, the entire pharmacy staff has been beyond pleasant. They have actually come to know me, my husband, and my son by name, and greet us warmly when we visit with prescriptions or general questions. They are so attentive it scares me sometimes! I get calls at home to let me know when my meds are ready, and also follow-up calls to questions about which I simply inquired casually (like where to dispose of expired meds in my city). I had problems with my Target Rx Rewards card, and mentioned how, being a busy mommy, I never remember to call customer service to fix it. They took care of it for me, and then called to follow up when it was resolved! They even set me up with text alerts so I could shop and get a text from them the instant my order was ready. When my prescriptions have gone through directly from doctors' offices, I've gotten prompt calls if my prescriptions were not in stock so that I don't waste a trip down there -- and they always are considerate enough to ask if I'm okay waiting (plus knowing how soon they'll have the meds -- usually within a day) or if they should send the Rx elsewhere. In essence, they put my family's needs and convenience first, and that's what I consider the ultimate in customer satisfaction. Very knowledgeable, genuinely kind and wants to help you. She was very courteous in training her staff and walking her through the return process as well. Never once raised her voice as a manager. The best thing about this Target is the parking lot. Seriously. It sits right on the bay and is home to some beautiful views. The inside of the store, however, leaves much to he desired. It is often understocked. The last 3 times I visited this location, I left without at least one of the items I came for because the item was out of stock. They also understaff cashiers. There is almost always a long line and there are no self checkout counters. At least the location is beautiful. read more

My wife & I went to the store and there was a line being controlled by store personnel for entrance (pandemic) to the store. My wife & I are both handicapped and my wife had a cane and was using a cart for a walker. Store personnel wouldn't let us in the front of the line and told us we had to go to the back of the line. My wife can't stand for prolonged periods of time and the line was very long. I explained this to the staff but they wouldn't help us. We left and went to a Walmart 40 miles away. We won't be shopping at Target anytime soon. Wish Walmart had a store closer to us! read more

Happy we got a Target store in Marin. Novato is far, dirty, crowded and at times it is difficult to find parking right near the storehas. This Target is everything the Novato store isn't. Been there a few times already and there's always PLENTY of parking and it is not in the middle of nowhere (the bus can take you there if you get lost too). There's a cool patio for you to sit down inside the Starbucks for everyone to enjoy (the girl at the food place offered to heat up the sandwich I bought, so nice). LOVE that this store is never too crowded and it's well stocked. I've returned some items already and there was no line and no problem. I've already saved a lot of money thank goodness because these grocery stores in Marin have been sucking the life out of my poor wallet. So far, so good, hopefully it stays that way I would hate for it to turn like al the other ugly targets. read more

I came in with a whole bunch of things to return, and a whole bunch of shopping to do. I went to the returns side first and had a very friendly guy, named Brayden helping me out. He made things very fast, and everything went smoothly. Then, when I was done with my shopping and ready to check out, he was also my cashier. Can I just start by saying that I come here way too often. Almost any time I need something, anything, I tend to come here. They have a Starbucks inside, which Is hard to resist. Unfortunately I think they are having issues finding people to work at the Starbucks because there have been times where I walked away because the line was too long. I even had a few drinks that tasted really off... too bad because they are always so sweet. Anyways, target has literally everything you need from clothes to food to makeup to books to electronics, diapers.... they also have awesome holiday items!! Oh and if you are not using cartwheel, well, you should. It has saved me a lot of money on random things I would have never known were on sale. Check it out! I used to like Target but I have had too many negative experiences lately. The issues with this store start in the parking lot. Many spots close to the entrance are for electric vehicles only which is great for those of us that can afford an electric vehicle. The spots facing the bay are often taken by people smoking pot or doing some other form of entertainment sitting in their car looking at the beautiful bay. Why do I mind that? Because I had my car door dinged here by kids doing that, they are not even Target customers and should be taking up the parking space, let alone door ding me. So now I have to park far away from the Target entrance which I am not always comfortable doing for safety reasons. Also, the store as an issue with expiration dates. I bought some yogurt a couple of weeks ago and when I got home I notices it was all expired. Not worth a trip back though. Then I used the buy online pick up at the store feature to get some ointment. I picked it up, went home and noticed the ointment was expired 6 months ago. I don't want to use expired expensive ointments. I complained online but didn't get a refund to my Paypal account, instead I got a gift card and I had to jump through hoops even to get that. So, to summarize, with the inconvenient parking, questionable company in the parking lot and the expired products, I can't recommend this store at all. read more

The store was just fine. What wasn't ok was the fact that all 20+ electric vehicle parking spots with charging stations were taken by non electric vehicles. Most of them were huge SUV's that were parked in front of the clearly marked signs and charging stations. I have an electric vehicle and was unable to use one of the designated spaces with a charging unit. I understand that the parking was close to the front, but there were plenty of regular spaces. This needs to be enforced by employees or security. Otherwise why put in all of these chargers? Come one lazy people, pay attention to the signage, and park in a regular spot. Maybe they can fine these people and donate the proceeds to one of the schools that Target supports. read more

What brought me to this Target, and continues to bring me back, is the beauty of the landscape surrounding it. Located right along the waterfront where one can stroll before or after a shopping trip, it's brick building and carefully landscaped grounds give an aesthetic that is uncommon for this store. The interior is very spacious with large aisles and an easy layout. They seem to carry more items in stock and have a variety of options. I can usually find clothing styles I like here or purchase a complete towel set/ bed set without worry. I even pick up fresh produce here or a sweet treat in the frozen section (love when the have the Outshine Bars on sale!). Despite the many people that frequent here, it never feels crowded. The workers here are plentiful, especially at checkout, and very welcoming. It's a great shopping experience at a great location. read more

I literally went in there on 6/28/2016 on my lunch break. I was in a rush and the cashier rang up a hair brush twice. I don't need two hair brushes. That's what I get for not checking my receipt. I decided to return the hair brush and that's when I realized I was rung up twice but now I can't get my money back for one that I never had to begin with. This is the cleanest, nicest, and BEST Target ever! It is sooo Marin. Seriously, what Target has the most beautiful water view ever?? Every time I visit, it is a pleasant positive experience. Everyone is smiling, helpful, and available to ask questions. However, my phone experience, was the EXACT opposite! I have tried calling them for a stock check and NO ONE ever picks up the phone! I read this in another one of their reviews but I couldn't believe it. Not my Target store! But yup, they were right. Totally didn't pick up their phone. Even tried to connect through another department of the store....NOTHING! Finally, I managed to get a hold of someone after calling many many times and a girl named Sierra picked up. Wow, she might as well not have picked up. Sierra was completely rude and should NOT be working there. I asked her questions on a product they sell online and in other stores. All her answers were, "I DON'T KNOW. I DON'T KNOW" with the most NEGATIVE attitude. Well, Sierra, if you DON'T KNOW, maybe you should go find out instead of sounding like a complete idiot. Actually, you shouldn't even continue working there because obviously, you are not trying to increase your product knowledge. Please leave the employment opportunity at Target for people who truly understand what customer service is supposed to be and have a deep appreciation of what the company represents. For everyone's sake, let's just hope (a BIG hope) that she's just a seasonal temporary employee. Target deserves much better. Great Starbucks with a waterfront view. Plenty of parking. Getting there is kind of a pain.

My daughter bought some makeup from this target. When she opened it she found out that on the cover it said medium tan, and since she is pale she decided to go back into the store and return it. The lady was very mean to her and did not let her return it because she had opened it. I decided to go back into the store and ask why she couldn't return it, and the lady acted very different to me then she did to my daughter and let me return the product easily. It is unfair to discriminate against children and I am very disappointed in how they treated me verses my daughter! read more
