The owner made sure I knew there would be a delivery charge and that he would add it to my final bill (so that I wouldn't mistakenly pay the delivery folks too). The delivery guys were friendly and when I asked to have them lift the benches up so I could put the little stickies on the legs to avoid scratching my hardwood floors, they replied "oh we already did that for you!" I have never had to follow up so many times with any vendor to actually get the merchandise I had paid for 100% in full in advance. The quality seems okay, though the custom pillows were exceptionally overpriced for the product. West Elm, Crate and Barrel and Pottery Barn all have superior quality products for a fraction of the price. Overall a disappointing experience and I will never shop here again.

We had our 2 foldable banquet tables in there that we bought from Costco and we eventually we got too lazy to put them away. So I gave Ken a call and we worked together after several calls to each other (and texts) and were able to give him the exact dimensions we wanted for our new cabinets, including the wood finish. We just wanted a simple looking design that would meet our needs. Our custom made cabinets came a week later and I am super happy! Over a year ago I stumbled upon this place in San Rafael and ordered a credenza piece for our dining room and I still love it. I wanted new dressers for our bedroom since our 10 year old IKEA dresser drawers broke. I was able to order & purchase 4 new dressers at Dimensional Furniture with one of them made custom sized to a space that didn't match standard sized dressers. I am really super happy. The dressers are made with solid wood and you have a choice of 10 colors to choose from for the finish. You also have a choice of either wood or silver pull handles for the drawers. I came in on a Tuesday morand my dressers were delivered yesterday afternoon...on a Thursday (the same week)! I paid an extra fee to have my old broken IKEA dressers taken away as well. Excellent service and I love my new furniture!

Fast forward to April of last year when our new pup took a chunk out of one of the cushions. Called Chris to order a new one (paid $300), and this is where the issues started. It took nearly 9 months to get a single cushion and when it arrived, it was the wrong color. When I noted this, Chris was very apologetic and offered to reupholster our couch - he would pay for the fabric and we agreed to pay for the workmanship. Fine. When I emailed him to confirm pricing, I never heard back. I kept following up...phone calls, emails. Finally he took my call, this was about June of this year, and said he was just trying to figure scheduling so that we weren't without a sofa too long. Fast forward to yesterday and I come to find out that the store closed. When I called his personal phone, it said the mailbox was full. We now have a random cushion sitting in our home that we cannot use, still have not been able to fix the original cushion, AND we're out $300. No idea what to do now but cannot understand how Chris is okay with stealing customers money.

When I arrived, there was another client ahead of me. That was no problem. I wasn't in a hurry as I had set this time aside for this purpose. I was looking around the room and the woman working there asked me what I needed and when I told her, "a lot of lighting" she let me know that she wouldn't be available to help me for 20 minutes or so. I said, that's fine I can wait. Then she asked me if I had made a list of what I needed and what purpose/function I expected from each light fixture. Ummmm. I have a list in my head. I haven't written down a list. I am not a list making type of person but I know my spaces. Then she tells me I need to go home and make a list and come back when I have it because otherwise, I am going to "fall in love" with items out of my budget. Huh?? I was so confused! She had no idea what my budget was. She literally sent thousands of dollars in unsolicited business out the door. This place must not need new clients. That's ok. There are plenty of places that will happily take my money. I walked into an appliance store today and they were thrilled to show me their inventory and assist me in my purchases. It was a stark contrast to my experience at Lunaria. EDIT: To respond to the response. You are not being truthful with what happened. NEVER did you infer that I step out for coffee and come back. I WAS the person who asked for catalogs to look through while waiting and you specifically told me that would be a waste of time without a list. Even your client seemed to pick up on the fact that you were about to lose a customer and she then said, "Here, here are some catalogs if you would like to view them." and that is when I said, "She just said that would be a waste of time and is not her process." If you're going to tell the story, please be honest about what occurred. Super frustrating experience considering I set time aside to come view some lighting and even was very clear that I was in no hurry and didn't mind waiting for you to finish. You made it obvious, you didn't want to speak to me unless I had a list of lighting with what I expected each light to achieve. Those were almost your EXACT words. Not mine. 2nd EDIT: I just saw in your biz description, "Appointments are recommended." This says it all. You could have simply told me, "I would love to help you but it sounds like you have a big project that will be time consuming and I will need you to schedule an appointment. In the meantime, it would be helpful for my process if you make a list..." That would have been much more productive instead of coming across as dismissive and patronizing. When the vendor failed to specify the right bulb for the chandelier that I bought, Alia intervened, contacted the vendor about the omission, and bought the correct bulb from a local store. Her husband delivered the correct bulbs in the rain to expedite installation. Alia embodies Retail at Its Best and has the expertise, patience and experience to find the right fixtures for your space. I recommend her and her business highly.

Except one of the roofing company recommended a general contractor they had worked with to work on the deck. It all sounded good until I asked the GC for his liability and workman's insurance which was alarmingly lacking. So I came back to Yelp for help. After meeting with several general contractors , Rothman stood out as Marshall expertly identified our deck material as Ipe wood and took steps to preserve it. Rothman also is knowledgeable and is experienced with San Francisco's permitting process. Before the roof work, Rothman efficiently disassembled our deck, removed the old frame and organized the railing and decking in a way that allowed the roofing company to move quickly and complete the roofing work smoothly. Rothman came back afterward to reassemble our deck, plank by plank, carefully and meticulously. Rothman was competitively priced and carried all necessary licenses, insurance, and certifications. Well, it is not easy to find a contractor who is honest, friendly, knowledgeable, experienced, easy to work with, pays attention to details, shows up on time, cleans up well , does great work and finishes on time. The deck looks beautiful now and we couldn't be happier with Rothman's work! Thank you Marshall!!!

Another contractor couldn't start until two weeks later. Alex made a site visit and was very personable. With the lead time, we chose Alex. Right when we chose him, he wanted to start that day! I said OK. That afternoon the demolition began. In two weeks he completed the job. He will work around your schedule. We had a family incident and needed to push back the work a day. We also had to wait a few days for the faucet to be delivered. The hours are up to you. We were OK with his team working into the late evening to get the job done because we were down a bathroom. Vitali and Alex work really really hard and long hours. There were some up sale items, but we picked which ones we wanted. Our vanity was in bad shape; so we updated the vanity, sink, backsplash and faucet. Alex quoted us a great price and offered to do tile flooring which would have made the bathroom even nicer, but we decided that the flooring would be fine. Maybe save that for the next remodel. Going through any type of remodel or home update is emotional and risky. We did a home remodel years back and that's when we learned you can really only choose two of the three: quality, cost, or speed. With Alex we were able to get close to all three. Obviously your home is very dear, and there are small little things that you can sweat over. Your home will never be perfect. Not a year goes by without some work that needs to be done to my home. Things get old and break down. There are many things that I would do over, but everyday I go into my newly updated bathroom and smile.

Why buy brand new Resto Hardware when you could pay almost exactly full price for some outdated used/damaged Resto Hardware at The Warehouse? Very limited selection, lots of knock offs. Did a walk through the store and saw lots of damaged items. You can buy a lot of this same stuff on Craigslist or other consignment or thrift shops at a fraction of what it's being sold for at this place. Home Furniture Consignment in San Rafael has a much bigger selection and I'm pretty sure that's where a lot of the stuff for this store is being purchased followed by jacking up the prices. Scrolling through the exaggerated 5 star reviews, it's very obvious they are friends and family members of the owner. read more

Today was an awesome experience at a killer new Furniture shop in Mill Valley; The Warehouse. Even your client seemed to pick up on the fact that you were about to lose a customer and she then said, "Here, here are some catalogs if you would like to view them." and that is when I said, "She just said that would be a waste of time and is not her process." If you're going to tell the story, please be honest about what occurred. Super frustrating experience considering I set time aside to come view some lighting and even was very clear that I was in no hurry and didn't mind waiting for you to finish. You made it obvious, you didn't want to speak to me unless I had a list of lighting with what I expected each light to achieve. Those were almost your EXACT words. Not mine. 2nd EDIT: I just saw in your biz description, "Appointments are recommended." This says it all. You could have simply told me, "I would love to help you but it sounds like you have a big project that will be time consuming and I will need you to schedule an appointment. In the meantime, it would be helpful for my process if you make a list..." That would have been much more productive instead of coming across as dismissive and patronizing. As for misrepresenting what occurred, there really is no excuse for that.

When the vendor failed to specify the right bulb for the chandelier that I bought, Alia intervened, contacted the vendor about the omission, and bought the correct bulb from a local store. Her husband delivered the correct bulbs in the rain to expedite installation. I week later I went back because I couldn't stop thinking about it but I was sad to see the price had been raised to over $700. The owner (I'm assuming) was great and honored the original price. She said she was happy the coat was going to someone who really loved it. It had a small rip on the shoulder and she offered to mend it, but I wanted to take it on my trip to New York so I chose not to. Super cool store and I love supporting a small business with great customer service. Will definitely be returning next time I'm in Mill Valley!

It's a treasure trove of a store stocked full of great clothing and accessories. Seeing a sewing class in session, I asked if they might be able to add a pocket to a dress I own, and they said no problem. The work was excellent and affordable. I highly recommend this wonderful local business.
