Huge thanks to Frank Gomez and the entire Wink Optics team for helping my daughter find a replacement for her favorite pair of eyeglasses. They went above and beyond -- sending photos of potential options, setting out samples for her to try on, and even having additional options mailed in from their Ukiah location. Frank personally spent time with my daughter reviewing options, offering his honest opinions and advice, and even gave her current pair a thorough cleaning. To top it off, Frank personally delivered a pair of sunglasses for my daughter to try at home. Wink is, without a doubt, the place to go for all your eyewear needs! read more

This shop is truly exceptional. Frank and his team are consistently welcoming, professional, and a pleasure to interact with--there's always a genuine sense of care and positive energy in the space. For smaller repairs, they've often been incredibly generous, and larger services--such as replacing the lenses in my sunglasses--are handled with precision, efficiency, and impeccable craftsmanship. I highly recommend this shop without hesitation! read more

Great selection of frames, wonderful staff is really helpful. The optometrist at this location is five star, Dr. Nina Margolis. Frank in the shop helped me get the perfect frames. Highly recommend. read more

I had YET ANOTHER great, wonderful, stupendous experience with Wink Optics!! After breaking my glasses the week before a public speaking engagement, Frank and the whole team LEAPT into action! They made me a temporary pair of reading specs, searched up and down and found my EXACT style to create a replacement pair (in less than a week), and sent in my broken pair for a warranty claim! I was back in business and so so so grateful for their personal care and incredible initiative. Their service is a one of a kind type service experience. As I am able, I will always buy my glasses from Wink! read more

This place is BY FAR the best optic/sunglass store Marin has to offer!!!!!! (And it's not even close). The knowledge, kindness, and hospitality of this business, are 2nd to none! I had a pair of RAEN glasses that I had broke and held on too for the past 3 years hoping someone could repair them because the company no longer made this version of them. I had been told by 3 different optic stores that they were, "unrepairable" and to start looking for a new pair. I was just about to finally throw them in the can when I thought I would try one last store, WINK OPTICS! When I arrived I was fully expecting to hear the same thing again, but to my surprise, Frank and Sammy pumped the brakes and said "let us have a look", I had no expectations of them being able to repair them because I had been told it couldn't be done so many times, I just thought I would give it another shot. When I came back into the store and my beauties were sitting right there, looking brand spanking new, I was overcome with so much joy!!!! Smiling ear to ear I couldn't believe it!!! They brought my favorite pair of shades BACK TO LIFE! And to top it off they cleaned and readjusted my other pair while they repaired my old pair. They were so kind, so knowledgeable, and make you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. THIS is the type of BUSINESS YOU WANT TO SUPPORT! Absolutely LOVE these guys!!! read more

jenny, patrick and frank are simply the best...lotta hype about other vendors with big names and many storefronts...i started with these people in Mill Valley. with great results...i live in novato so it was a little easier to go to San Anselmo....totally professional, after-sale backup is incredible... Why go anywhere, when there is Wink...? From Jacque Marie Mage to Matsuda to Barton to Rayban -- frank and team are top of the frame-game with the latest styles and access to older ones too. No need to trek to city in search of the unique or luxurious -- it's here in Marin! They do all things -- complicated Rx's, interesting gradiants, transitions, etc! My eyes are happy, happy -- thank you. Ps, how fun is this jmm box my hopper glasses came in?! read more

Fabulous shop with fabulous products and service. Wink has MANY brand name frames and sunglasses. Thank you Wink Optics for taking great care of me. I went in to Wink hoping to find some new sunglasses but I have such a big head and weird shaped face. The staff was very knowledgeable on in things sunglasses and they exactly which glasses would fit my shape. Frank G helped me and he immediately found me a couple brands to choose from and I was able to find a new pair within 15min. The service was great as not only did they sell Me a new pair of sunglasses, but they fixed my old pair and put defogger on my wife's glasses. They did all this while following all the COVID guidelines and making us feel extra safe and even disinfected my Credit Card before handing it back to me. Thanks again Frank Gomez and amazing staff. We will be coming back for all of our optical needs. read more

It's been a true pleasure working with Jenny at Wink Optics. She finds a beautiful sunglasses for you, offers you an amazing price, and ships it on the same day. My Silouette frames broke and another proprieter couldn't fix them. I went to Wink and Frank looked at them and fixed, cleaned and put them back on my face in 10 minutes. With total expertise and a smile. Then he showed me Lindberg glasses from Denmark, (which he likes better than Silouette), and oh my... Gorgeous! Together we created beautiful pairs of glasses from their mix and match choices, and I will soon be back to purchase a pair. LOVE this place and the folks who work there! This review is long overdue- My husband dropped his $300+ Rimless Maui Jim and realized that a screw was missing. We happened to park right in front of Wink Optics, so walked inside to check out their selections. They not only fixed his sunglasses but polished and tightened all screws, made them as good as new! And all for free! Frank said everyone's going through hard times during covid-19, and they want to help people. Amazing! read more

I'm a fan of Dita brand sunglasses (I've got several nonprescription pairs), so when it was time for me to get a new pair of prescription eyeglasses, I knew that I wanted my next pair to be Ditas. I looked up stockists on their website, and after reading some Yelp reviews, I ended up choosing Wink. Jenny and Patrick helped me on each visit, and both provided excellent customer service. Jenny was great about helping make sure that they had the pairs I wanted to try on in store. There was one time when she didn't hear back from Dita about the date of availability for some backordered items and I didn't get a follow-up. I actually didn't mind though because some things came up and I wasn't able to purchase at the time. Patrick was great at giving his expert opinion on what frame colors and shapes were most flattering. He also gave some nice compliments and I know his job is to sell but they were some of the most unique compliments so I'll take it and bonus points for that lol. After a few visits and phone calls I finally decided on a pair and was actually able to go home with them in minutes! It was even close to closing time so I thought I would have to wait until the next day. It was nice to save myself a trip over there. Also, Ditas now come with soft eyeglass cases, but they were able to give me a hard case for better protection which I appreciated. I haven't had any issues come up with my glasses, but if anything were to come up, I feel confident in them being able to provide good customer support. Also, when I'm ready for a new pair of prescription sunglasses, I know who I will be turning to for that! Thank you to Wink Optics from this satisfied customer! read more

The place to go! I love my new sunglasses. Kids size for a small face! Excellent selection of wonderful eyewear and superb customer service and professional know-how. Holy cow. Customer service and service with a smile do not even begin to describe the level of excellence and hospitality you will experience at Wink Optics. Last night I took off my glasses and fell asleep. I rolled onto them and could not get them to fit right. I called and reached the owner, yes, on the Fourth of July and he came to the store to meet me. By the time I had gotten there, the door was open, Frank had turned music on and greeted me with a smile. Only word of caution is be prepared to be a customer for life. Frank and staff have that effect on people. Some of his long term clients drive up from the Silicon Valley to to do business with Frank and his knowledgable and friendly staff. read more

Wink Optics not only has an amazing selection of designer frames, the staff is incredibly knowledgeable; they pay close attention to the health of your eyes by helping you choose the best and highest protection against harmful UV rays when ordering lenses as well. Not to mention the friendly and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel like family! For me, it truly is a family affair. I have a substantial collection of eyewear from shops around DC, NY and CA, and Wink Optical is a rare top-notch find. They curate an excellent collection and, most of all, provide first- rate customer service - in my experience it simply doesn't get any better than Wink Optical. I'm usually pretty skeptical about shopping high-end brands like Jacques Marie Mage (JMM) online, but my communications with Patrick by phone quickly alleviated my reservations. He is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly - an all-around great customer service experience - And I purchased stylish JMMs that are extremely hard to find these days. It was a pleasure, and I definitely intend to keep shopping there. read more

Great service and wonderful people! I had a great experience and highly recommend Wink Optics!

When you walk through the doors of Wink Optics San Anselmo you are greeted warmly, like a friend. Then, the real fun begins as Frank or one of his brilliant staff start pulling out super unique and beautiful frames in gorgeous colors to flatter your face shape and skin tone. My oxblood color Native Sons are my favorite glasses ever, and I've even been stopped because people want to know where they can be found. I literally had walked in the door, and was there for 1 minute when Frank pulled those beauties off the shelf for me, and they were/are perfect! His friendly and warm staff also made my dad feel really special when he visited, and they selected a really flattering and hip frame for him. A good friend of mine who hadn't seen my dad for years commented on how stylish he looked, and specifically mentioned the frames! Dad's feeling pretty good in his new glasses now, whereas before, glasses were just functional for him. Also, I really like that you can just tell that the staff love working there, and truly delight in helping people find something that looks great, and they respectfully stick to your budget. No pushy sales. Just good vibes. read more

Wink is the only place my husband and I buy our frames from. They have a curated selection of frames with just the right amount of products in house to choose from without having choice overload. I am very partial to Barton Perreira frames and they're one of the only stockists around. I bought my prescription eyeglasses from Wink several years ago but just returned to get some new sunglasses and was reminded why I make a special trip to this shop. The service was personal, friendly, and patient while I deliberated on which sunglasses to choose. They're also very accommodating when I've popped in to have my glasses tightened or repaired. Unless you lose or sit on your glasses anything you purchase here will last you a long time, and you'll look good at the same time. Win win read more

I have been buying sunglasses at the Wink Optics location on San Anselmo Ave. since the 1990's. Even when I lived in Napa, I would make the drive. I know they've had different names over the years, but they have always had the same exceptional service, selection and pricing. Today, I brought in my vintage Bausch and Lomb Ray-Bay tortoise-shell Wayfarer 5024's to see if they could repair a missing hinge screw for one of the temple-arms. (I originally bought those Wayfarers at that location back in the early 90's!) The owner, Frank Gomez, was very welcoming and helpful. He explained that the vintage Bausch and Lomb's used a proprietary screw, but he would see what he could do. Less than 10 minutes later he came back with them, repaired and cleaned. And he explained that there was no charge for the screw/repair. With Spring finally here if you need some new "stunna-shades," check out Wink Optics in San Anselmo. They have a great selection of Ray Ban, Oliver Peoples, and even the new Vuarnet line. (On my list as a next pair.) It is worth the drive. Thank you Wink Optics and Mr. Gomez. read more

Lost my glasses a while ago. Every other places I tired to get a new pair said I had to wait at least a week to get them. At wink optic you can get a new pair as soon as half an hour. Frank is super nice and helpful. I'm very happy to have a pair of glassed again. read more

I want to give big shout out to Patrick at Wink Optical. I purchased a pair of Caddis frames and had my prescription filled recently. When I picked them up, as soon as i tried them on I knew that I had made a mistake in picking the frame that I did. I kept them for a week and then returned to the shop and told Patrick that I felt terrible but that I wasn't happy with my choice. He checked with the owner (whose name I don't know) and she allowed me to pick out another frame and they refilled the script, with just a small charge for the change. I couldn't believe how generous that was! Patrick said they want their customers to be happy and I was so thrilled that I could hardly believe it. They were so easy to work with and Patrick was really knowledgeable about his business. He told me he used to own the eyeglass shop down the street called Focus for years. I would absolutely recommend them for stylish, fun frames and great customer service ! Thank you Wink Optical. read more

Came in for a truck show in November and because the frame is from France it was stuck in customs.i called the lens rep and he told me that they were stuck in customs. As this is a high end boutique I thought I would had gotten a call. Here today to pick up my new pair of glasses. Frames are Face to Face. Can't wait to wear them out. Received a phone call the other day offering me 50% off on another Face to Face frame. They called to apologize about the turnaround time. I thanked them and said it wasn't necessary. Since I do not live in the area I was wondering when my glasses would be ready. Appreciate the follow up and accommodation! Thank you for the call. read more

Frank and the team were provided excellent customer service. I was in the neighborhood, popped by and showed him my Oakley sunglasses that I bought there a few months back which needed needed service. He was extremely helpful and diagnosed the problem and fixed it out any hassle in about 10 minutes. He also cared enough to me a case to help protect my glasses from further accidents. That being said he was working there on a Saturday, truly a sign that he cares about his business. I highly recommend this place and did I mention they have a great selection of budget to high end gla$$e$ and sunglasses and are always playing some groovy music. read more

My bride didn't want to drive from Ross to SF to see her optometrist just to get her sunglasses repaired. I searched Yelp, liked the reviews for Sunglass City and made the suggestion. She came back later wearing the repaired sunglasses and a smile. She said "the two gals there were busy with customers but said 'Leave your glasses here and come back in a half an hour' . So I went shopping, found xxx, and went back. The glasses were repaired, the gal was very nice, and it was only 5 bucks. I'm happy." I bought my first pair of prescription glasses from Wink in 2017, sunglasses. I then purchased two pair of Toms frames, quite unique yet perfectly adaptable to all my eclectic fashion! I then bought a pair of Oakley's specifically for all my outdoor adventures including a climb of Mt. Shasta where my current shades just wouldn't do! Just last year I purchased new frames and sunglasses and am always thrilled with the selection available in store. I have always been walked through all options available to me when filling the prescriptions, things like polarization, tint, transitions, progressions. And whenever I have needed an adjustment or just recently a nose pad, I'm met with friendly, happy folks that take care of me in the way they did when I first bought the frames. I highly recommend stopping in for your next pair of frames. If you wear glasses every day get a pair that gives you joy! I'd give six stars if I could to this outstanding store. Wink has a great selection of well made, good looking frames and the folks there could not be nicer or more helpful. Patrick and I worked together to find a pair of glasses, eventually setting on a pair of Jacques Marie Mage frames that were a huge improvement over the Oliver Peoples glasses I'd been happily wearing for years. I'm very pleased with how the new ones look, the quality of the lenses, and how fast they were ready. I also learned quite a bit from Patrick about how to evaluate the best frames for my face. Highly recommended! read more
