My recent optometry experience with Dr. Haack was a very pleasant and enjoyable. His place of business was very nice and offered a nice variety of choices, both in price points and frame options. The actual optometry equipment area was very nicely laid out with modern equipment from what I could tell and what I had experienced. His thoroughness conveyed to me I was getting good product for what I'm paying for. Along with the technical evaluation, conversation was friendly and appreciative. I'd recommend anyone who's looking to get their vision evaluated to look into Eyes on Magnolia. Be sure to schedule something in advance since the wait time to see him is pretty long, 4 weeks+, but well worth the wait. read more

We had such a wonderful experience at Eyes on Magnolia. Dr. Haack was incredibly thorough and thoughtful during my daughter's exam, and he did a fantastic job putting her at ease. He took the time to clearly explain what was going on with her vision, which made the whole process feel comfortable and informative. I also appreciated that there was no hard sell for expensive frames--yet the selection was stylish, and modern. We are so glad to have found Dr. Haack and are excited to have him as our new family optometrist! read more

A very thorough, informative and professional eye examination from Dr. Haack and patient and knowledgeable counsel from Duffy on which frames would best meet my needs and what my insurance would cover. I have gone to many optometrists over the years and Eyes on Magnolia is by far my most pleasant and comfortable experience! Highly recommend this team. You will be put at ease and well taken care of. read more

Just moved to the area and needed a new optometrist to refill my contact lenses. They had same week availability which was a win. Dr Haack is incredibly thorough and has the latest technology for eye exams. Their frames are really unique and stylish from designers I hadn't heard from. Seems like everyone else carries the same Tom Ford or Prada frames so that was really refreshing to see something different. Highly highly recommend this place. They are very upfront with cost and check your insurance benefits so there are no surprises. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and would send my mom here. read more

Dr. Haack is the GOAT of optometry! My daughter came off the school bus crying hysterically over her eye hurting. I panicked and rushed to Eyes on Magnolia where he let me in, despite my not even having an appointment and it being nearly closing time. He was so gentle and patient with my nervous kiddo and figured out what was causing her pain and patched her up. The man is a hero! He's also a great optometrist for adults. Thank you so much Dr. Haack!!! read more

I was so happy to find Dr. Haack again! After seeing him for many years at another office, I was really disappointed that he was nowhere to be found. But now that's not the case. And even better he has April from his old office manning the front. They are the best! Very personable, knowledgeable, and all around good people. Check them out! read more

I came in for my annual exam and it was another outstanding visit! Seeing April's smiling face and enjoying her bubbly personality and upbeat demeanor while she helped me pick out lenses made my day! Dr. Haack is so comforting, kind and informative. He even had to tell me somewhat difficult news about my eyes and he did it with the utmost care and from a place of healing and knowledge. All of his equipment is top of the line too and well just really cool! THE BEST optometrist in Marin County. read more

Dr Haack was recommended by a local optical shop so I made an appointment. I was from out of town and yet Dr Haack gave me his full attention and asked questions to further get an idea of what my needs were and how he could help other than just filling a contact prescription. Dr Haack is the most friendly, professional optometrist I have ever met! His examination was very thorough and he more than met my expectations as an optometrist! Not only did fill refill my contact prescription, he gave me options and recommendations in order to give me the best eyesight as possible. He even prescribed eyeglasses for me as requested and answered and explained all of my questions. Many kudos to him and April, his assistant! April is a jovial person who explained my billing options. She is great! I had a very pleasant experience with my visit and would highly recommend him and his practice! read more

I'm very impressed with this place, whether it is with Dr. Haack's work or April in the front of the shop. I get great advice from Dr. Haack and feel like I really know what is best for my eyes, and his patience with my questions is much appreciated. There should be a special ratings category for exceptional professionals like Dr. Haack. From his exceedingly thorough eye exams, using all the latest technologies, to his spot on eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions to his recommendations relative to your particular situation, you cannot go wrong with Dr. Haack. He recently opened his new state-of-the-art office where I was pleased to discover the latest frames and styles, many of which are anything but mainstream. My husband and I were long time patients of Dr. Haack's at another location so we were thrilled to find him as the owner and proprietor of his new office, Eyes on Magnolia. And, bonus, there is parking right out front. Also Dr Haack is the nicest, kindest and most modest man (in spite of his many accomplishments) and his warm and sincere personality also helps when you have some guy shining a really really bright light at your cornea. read more

Best optometry team in Marin! Dr. Haack has helped me manage my vision problems since I was 15 years old, and his expertise is unparalleled. He always takes the time to ask questions about the specific problems I am experiencing, and does the most thorough exam before making recommendations. April is also a super efficient front office manager - she never wastes time at the begging or end of my appointments. Awesome experience every time! read more

Eyes on Magnolia only recently opened, but, Dr. Haack is incredible! They're in this cute little plaza with ample parking that is right across from The Village Peddler bike store. During my exam, Dr. Haack showed me all the technology he is utilizing to ensure that I have the best and most accurate eye prescription. Dr. Haack gives a very thorough examination and I can't wait to be back. Make sure to check out Eyes on Magnolia! read more

I have worn contacts or glasses for over 30 years, so let's just say I've been to a lot of eye doctors and I would recommend Dr. Haack without hesitation. He's meticulous, detail oriented and thorough. He is patient, professional and kind. His office is beautiful and modern with amazing technology. He takes the time to explain everything and then takes the time to ensure that you understand. I trusted all of his recommendations. April who works in his office is also cheerful and lovely. I recently took my 13 year old son to see Dr. Haack and my son liked him a lot - Dr. Haack is good with kids as well! If you need an eye doctor, go see Dr. Haack and April! read more

Best, best, best in Marin. I have super high astigmatism. It requires extra special attention not only to proper measurement during the eye exam but to the production of the glasses being exactly right as to axis. Dr. Haack is the ONLY doctor I have EVER found in my life who cares enough to get it perfectly right. In fact my previous glasses were "good enough" I suppose but when I started to go to Dr. Haack many years ago, it was almost like an "Aha!" moment where I realized my vision could be even better than it ever had been. I have been seeing him for many years and never looked back. Plus, I get the pleasure of knowing him locally through kid sports etc. and he is a wonderful guy. You are truly using & supporting a local enterprise by giving your business to Eyes on Magnolia. A+. read more

Dr. Haack has designed a comfortable, modern space on Magnolia St. in Larkspur. He has installed top notch equipment and offers personalized, unhurried service. April works at the front desk. She was very enthusiastic about finding the right frames for me. I've purchased glasses from a major chain store before and I'm glad I went to Eyes on Magnolia instead. Sometimes glasses in about an hour just doesn't satisfy. read more

I choose Dr. Haack because of his excellent yelp reviews. He is everything and more. He took a lot of time with me and was extremely knowledgeable, kind and professional. The equipment is the latest stuff and rather cool. There were NO up sale offers. April is lovely, helpful and clearly devoted to the business as well. read more

Best optometrist in Marin? Inarguably. Best in the world? Probably. Our family has been seeing Dr. Haack for many years and we will continue for many years to come. You will not find a better, more capable, more conscientious practitioner. Period. And by the way, Dr. Haack's team (Hi April!) are every bit as capable, and a complete joy to work with. Try them, you WILL be glad you did! read more

I was seeing an ophthalmologist in central Marin, but I got very little professional attention and had a technician doing my eye exam. When I went to Dr. Haack I was incredibly surprised at how comprehensive the exam was and how amazing his new office was - with super cool technology and equipment. But of course then it's all about the glasses! I got new frames from Woow (hand made in Italy) and I LOVE them. In fact, my husband then went to see Dr. Haack and he too chose Woow glasses. April, the optician in the practice was able to fit them to me perfectly in one try. It was a wonderful experience all around and I highly recommend Dr. Haack and Eyes on Magnolia. read more

I recently had my annual eye exam (for contact lenses) with Dr. Haack and I cannot say enough good things about him and April! I had to find a new eye doctor a couple years ago and the one I first tried in Fairfax was not up to par for me. I searched Yelp and talked to friends and happily ended up with Dr. Haack. The experience was sooooo much better than what I had experienced in Fairfax. Dr. Haack is polite, exact, friendly and will answer any question fully. His office is sparkling clean. I did not feel rushed at all. I felt respected and valued. How nice! We went over different possible prescriptions - letting me try a couple out over a week with complimentary contacts to decide which worked best for me. I ended up ordering my contacts through their office as the price was not much different than the online places. They came to my house in two days. I highly recommend Eyes on Magnolia to feel secure that you will be treated well and given the correct prescription. read more

Dr.Haack is a fantastic doctor and a lovely man. I just had my first comprehensive eye exam with him ,and it's been the best eye exam I've ever had. The exam itself was almost an hour long--Dr. Haack did all testing himself (retina scan, visual field, astigmatism, etc), and then he spend another 40 minutes answering my many questions. He is caring, compassionate, knowledgeable and professional. I have a complicated contact lens prescription and walked away with 3 different lenses to try. There was ZERO upsell--I don't wear glasses, so Dr. Haack didn't push any on me and instead spent the entire appointment focusing on health of my eyes and my contact lenses options. His fees include a very thorough eye exam, trial contacts and follow ups before he finalizes a prescription. Fantastic doctor! read more

Dr. Haack just moved into a lovely new space in our neighborhood. I needed only a small adjustment to my new eyeglass frames, and checked in first by phone. He was extremely kind and suggested I come in when his associate April was in because she was especially skilled in that. I went in the following day; April was just charming, and did a very good job. The glasses had been hurting me every day and they are perfect now. read more

Dr. Haack recently completed an exam for me. He was thorough and knowledgeable and the care I received felt very personalized. His gorgeous new space reflects the attention to detail Dr. Haack so obviously pays to every detail of his practice. Dr. Haack has opened up a new office in Larkspur and filled it with all the latest, newest technology. He's a very professional doctor with a comfortable attitude and state-of-the-art equipment. I can honestly say that this has been the best optometry experience since I've been wearing contacts (20 years!). April was extremely friendly and helpful after I had an unfortunate experience with my regular optometrist in Sausalito and was being overcharged even with my VSP benefits. I was so happy with the initial phone conversation with April that I booked my appt immediately. Once I met with Dr. Haack, I was equally impressed as he is so friendly, professional, knowledgable and has just all around good energy! The place itself is modern, clean and absolutely beautiful! All of the equipment is state of the art and they have certainly spared no expense. I could not imagine going anyplace else for my exams and will definitely come to them for glasses when I need them again as well. This place is the gold standard of all things optometry - and I'm so happy to support such a wonderful local business. read more

Dr. Haack has been my optometrist for many years , so I was saddened when he was not in his usual location at Larkspur Landing. I was more than thrilled when I started trying to see if he was anywhere in the area and discovered him with a practice in Larkspur. (Thank you internet!) Both my spouse and I followed him to renew our relationship in his new business and we are beyond happy. Dr. Haack has always been informative , friendly, and caring with our eye care. Honestly, it feels like we are family. I am so very thankful that we were able to reconnect. I come from the old school where it means something to have an ongoing relationship with a health care provider so they can see any changes over time and respond in the best possible way. You will not just be a number in this practice! To see April again in the new office was another big bonus. I think they compliment each other perfectly and she is a delight to work with ! Eyes on Magnolia strives to give you the best possible information so you decide for yourself what is the best course of action without any pressure. The new office is clean, cheery and well lit. (and parking is a breeze!) It is also a very peaceful space which just adds to the mix! I can't recommend this place enough if these things are important to you! These folks are real gems and I feel it is important to highlight that so I hope this review helps more people find their way to this wonderful place! Thank you Team Eyes on Magnolia!
