If you would have asked me before this weekend I'd have told you I shop online and in store at Target often. Probably too much! From back to school, to Halloween decor, to housewares, food and sundries, it's easy to spend FAR more money here than intended on basics and more. I also like their collaboration with designers & their ethos, and many things about Target. But I'll also tell you what I don't like. After this weekend, I'm pretty sure I'll be shifting my pharmacy purchasing to Rite Aid or Walgreens, because my local Target is locking up entire aisles of basics like deodorant and toothbrushes. If it requires setting off an alarm & a needing an actual Target employee to unlock a case for $5 micellar water wipes, it's not a good retail experience. (Especially given how hard it is to find an employee at Target.) I understand companies are dealing with loss and have to come up with effective strategies, but it's a bad solution if they are not just locking up razor and expensive items, but aisles and aisles of daily products and making it difficult for customers to shop, so that they opt to go elsewhere. I'll still shop here for paper towels and storage containers, which are not on lock down, but with entire aisles of deodorant and toothbrushes behind glass, I will be shifting the majority of my shopping for these items to a store with a better pharmacy shopping experience. read more

Bravo To Management for fixing a big safety issue that piece of Rebar has been removed, other issues in that area yet has safety cone in place. Two Target maintenance is really trying to get the automatic restroom soap dispenser working. So good to see positive activity being taken. Stopped by the Starbucks in here today to get coffee before my work meeting. I was the only one in there when I ordered. A group of target employees came in to order after me. The Starbucks employee decided to make all of the target employees drinks before mine, which I had ordered a few minutes before they arrived. When I heard my drink called I got up and asked if this was my drink, the barista said no and pointed to the target employee and said "it's hers." Turns out the target employee took my drink instead by mistake. So the barista says she will remake it, while both girls are laughing and talking to each other. Took her 2 minutes to remake my drink. Waited 15 minutes before hand and was the only customer in the store. Not great customer service to serve the other employees before the customers who came in before.. read more

I'm sorry but I have to let the public know about this. I use to be the market lead at Napa north target. I had an amazing crew there, we took care of business and you would NEVER find anything like this with my then crew. I shop at this Target ALL the time. I've never had a problem until today. First of all I picked up my medication because I am battling a gout issue. I can hardly walk and it's so painful. I hobble and limp until the cortisone kinks in. After getting my Rx I went to the restroom. I placed my cart against the wall before entering the restroom. A cashier decides he needs to in a pretty loud voice say, Sir if you're going to use the restroom I need to ask you to put your cart by customer service. The cart never went into the restroom. I was not about to walk to customer service, then walk back to the restroom then walk back to customer service with the pain I'm in. As I exited the restroom and grabbed my cart same employee in his obnoxious loud voice says thank you sir! I just raised my hand and kept shopping. So on to this disgusting picture. I needed eggs, I go to grab a dozen and what you see in the picture is at my eye level, I'm 6'2". There was a lady next to me that just grabbed eggs as well and I pointed it out to her. She put her eggs back. I checked out my cart once done shopping and asked an employee to speak to the manager. The manager approached me in less than 5 minutes. I showed him the picture and we was visibly embarrassed. He apologized and was very professional. Bottom line here is the market team lead needs training and needs to be accountable for this. This type of organic growth, that's a nice way of saying mold, took days to get to this point. Pay attention to what you are buying and what is around the product you are picking up. I'm hoping the manager jumped right on this as I told him exactly where it was. If not for the pain in my foot I would have walked him back there. This is actually a pretty great location right here by the water it is about 20 to 30° cooler in over by Sacramento and Fairfield. You would think since it's a better location this taco be a lot cleaner but it's evident that maybe there's not enough people working here because the clothes area in the men's and women's is the worst I've ever seen total mess. This is my go to Target store. I have been shopping here since they opened five years ago. I'm glad there is a second location in Marin. It is located on Shoreline Parkway next to Home Depot, right off the Richmond Bridge and 580/101 interchange. There is plenty of parking and charging stations near the front for electric cars. You will never have a problem finding parking here. I didn't mind going to the Novato location, but I'm loving that there is a closer one to me. It is almost never crowded, making it a more pleasant shopping experience. I stopped by recently when it was busier than normal and I still did not feel like it was crowded. The grocery department is a newer addition. The different departments are organized and well stocked. It is easy to find what I am looking for and usually they have my clothing size in stock. They recently renovated the customer service counter. There is an online pick up and a small flower section now. Most of the time I use one of the four self check out lanes. I never have any issues when I need to return something. The employees are friendly and offer great service. read more

There is a wide variety of different goods including groceries. Way too many people complaining about the store and employees. They are hard workers and not relying on the government for money. Just about every store in Marin needs workers. People on Nextdoor are always complaining about stores not having enough workers. As the cost of living here is ridiculous so it's hard to find workers. The checker was more interested in talking to his colleague in Spanish, than focusing on customers to check them out with their orders. He did not greet me. Normally Spanish speaking folks offer good competitive deals, BUT NOT HERE. Everything costs 50 - 80% MORE than it s should. Want a baseball cap, $19.95. Want a yogurt which costs $1.50 or less elsewhere?, At Target it costs $2.25! This is rip off city. I kept asking workers for potting soil and since virtually no one spoke English, they'd POINT me to another worker until one finally pointed me to the shelved potting soil section (NOT a garden section). I gone here once. It was an early Sunday Morning. Thankfully there was a Starbucks inside to keep me awake. I don't get why the people did not want a Target. Home Depot needed a company nearby to keep them from not being the once business there. The nearest Target is in Novato and nobody wants to drive up there for Target. I have to say that this Target has a good view of the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge. There is a trail to walk along to get a daily jog. Inside Target is clean. I was astonished with how many unskilled workers this Target location hires. We had an unexpected overnight stay so here it is 9pm needing toiletries and a change of clothes. Who's open unfamiliar with this area Google takes me to this target location. First of all selection is very scarce I could not find pj's I asked the young girl stocking where are the night gowns she gave me a look I thought quite threatening and said "What" (In an uneducated manner ) I repeated my question she said "I don't know" (like why am I asking her). The best thing about this store are the Bay views. I wish I could write a more positive review. I grew up near Minneapolis/St. Paul where Target began. I've always been a fan. Once you walk inside the disappointments begin. It's a Super Target but not as super as those I've been to in other locations. Where is the bakery? How about a deli? Why can't they stock chocolate milk all the time? Why is there only one bag left of party size Wavy Lays potato chips when there are at least 10 bags of every other chip??? Why are there only 2 checkouts open with a 20-minute line at each one? Why are the people checking out customers clueless that people have been waiting an exorbitant amount of time while they slowly remove hangers from clothing people are buying & then slowly fold those clothes? Where is Management? Why aren't they helping improve this mess? I never thought it would be possible to have a *negative* experience with a pharmacy, since it's usually a pretty straightforward, regular process. Unfortunately the pharmacist who was in when I needed a prescription filled was rude and unhelpful when one of my prescription medications was unavailable at their store. He also did not go over my medication with me, and seemed bothered when I returned to ask a few clarifying questions about how to take it. Habitual Liar. Want to see what silly small lying does? Just come over to Pizza Hut here at Target. There was no food on the heating tray, so I ordered a small pan pizza. Worker girl says, "it'll just be about a minute." So I say OK. I'll wait. About a minute later, she brings out two pizzas. I go to pay. She takes my payment. But as I looked over at the heating tray, both pizzas were gone -- immediately taken by somebody else! The worker girl also disappears into the back room. So I holler, "EXCUSE ME! EXCUSE ME" loud enough that the security guard at the entrance hears me, and he goes over to the Starbucks counter to tell her. She comes over from the back and quickly explains that those pizzas were not mine. They were ordered first before I got there. I agreeably realized, "oh OK, mine are still coming out. I was worried that somebody else grabbed an extra one by mistake." So I wait. Only after another ten minutes, does she bring out two more pizzas. When I took mine, I remind her, "I'm not in a hurry, but you shouldn't say 'about a minute' when it's actually about 10 minutes." She replies, "oh I didn't know it took 7 minutes" as if it's her first day. Really? She didn't know? She's practically running both counters (Pizza Hut and Starbucks) and it's her first day? I rolled my eyes and started to walk away with my pizza. I didn't insult her but maybe I should've. But I had to grab some napkins at the counter, so she had another chance to correct herself. Instead, she adds, "I told you it was about seven minutes." YEAH RIGHT! Does a new lie erase the first lie? Which statement was true? Which are lies? Yep, you guessed it. They're all lies! This is the cleanest, most scenic, most tranquil Target I have ever visited from NorCal to the Tijuana border!!! The store is well stocked, no stock turn merchandise, out of the blue~the Target employees approach you asking if you need help while other Target employees are busily stocking shelves, freezers, and arranging price pointed sale items. Anyway, I found everything I needed which is very rare while shopping at Target; possibly, this Target will be THE store I shop despite and ironically, there's a Target only one mile away from my home (this store by my home makes me cringe every time I visit it~NG=NOT GOOD!). As a result finding everything I needed, I spent over $108.00 on household products I have been searching for MONTHS! Whew!! BTW: Starbucks inside Target faces the SF Bay which is very cool . . . I want to give Target, and it's employees of course, credit for doing a really good job with drive up pickup. Ever since the shutdown my Dh and I have ordered some staple products from Target. We find being able to order on line( through the app) and the just drive up to the store and pop the trunk as an effective , easy and safe way of getting our items. The items are ready within 4 hrs . Sometimes it is much sooner. Each time the employees were polite and helpful. Kudos to Target ( and it's employees) for making this time a little easier. read more

I can get overwhelmed in this big store but fortunately there are nice employees around who are there to help. Ramon is a very cheerful and welcoming presence at the self check out area. Sometimes self checkout can be confusing so I appreciate his calm and patient demeanor. Other times I have had a hard time finding what I'm looking for. Tavarus is an example of one of the nice and friendly employees who make me feel like it's no trouble for them to take me exactly to the location of what I'm looking for. Used to love this location (especially the view of the Richmond Bridge), but recent changes completely ruined the experience. Many basic items like deodorant are now locked in a cabinet where you have to find an overworked employee to unlock it for you. I just went to order an electric tea kettle but saw that there were a lot of options. I figured I'd head down there and yet again, the options were disappointing.
