Cake I made with cake mix & frosting I bought from Dollar Tree

I've been to many Dollar Tree stores. This one is very decent and I find it pretty well stocked on items I regularly come for, and I like when I discover a few surprise items that make me fill up my cart or basket. I make cakes for Cakes 4 Kids and I really love the selection of candy, cake mix, and frostings in this store which I use to make and decorate the cakes I bake with my daughter. I also send care packages overseas and this store has so much that I can share and send. It's the best place to get Made in the USA ramen noodles (5 pack), canned Vienna sausages, instant coffee, powdered coffee creamer, and chocolate. I also buy my zip top bags here as well. I love this store!

Very poor customer service. I come to this store very often as I live nearby. Tonight I came at 9:58 pm- yes they close at 10:00 pm however I only needed 2 things and I am familiar with the store. I was stopped firmly at the open door by an employee named Leo and told that I could not come in the store. He was unwilling to listen to me in anyway. I tried saying I only needed two things. Was abruptly cut off and told they were closing the registers "soon". As a young man I can understand that he most likely needs work on his customer service skills however in this situation it would have been nothing to let me purchase the products I needed. I'll just drive to the other Novato location or just start going to Dollar General in Sonoma County.

This is the cleanest, nicest Dollar Tree I've ever been in

They also have many Asian culinary ingredients which are hard to find elsewhere in Novato. Shelves are always fully stocked and like items are grouped together. The shop is well lit and kept immaculately clean. It has recently been extensively and attractively remodelled and the aisles are wider and easier to negotiate with the cart or for a senior with a Rollator. It would be great if they could provide a couple of ride-on carts for the disabled. The wine section is very well curated and stocked with both domestic and foreign premium and reserve wines at greatly discounted prices. They actually cater to customer requests when possible! Personally, I'm delighted by the selection of Monterey Chardonnays. The owners are dedicated to providing excellent customer service and are generally on-site when I shop. They are also generous contributors to the Food Pantry and collaborated with Rotarians to provide an extra gift bag at Easter. The staff are mostly bi-lingual (Spanish/English) cheerful, professional and helpful and always tell you how much you have saved on your receipt by purchasing at Grocery Outlet! I always check my receipts and they are accurate, this is not always the case with the other large grocery shops in the area. On the rare occasion I have had to return merchandise there has been no problem in being refunded. There is always available parking close to the front doors. I am not related to , nor a personal friend of the owners! Just a local former Caterer who loves to home- cook several different cuisines and I am very pleased by the excellent customer service and availability of the ingredients I require. Well done owners! You are a credit to the franchise. I wish you continuing success. Sincerely Francesca Koumarianos

I am a regular shopper at GO mostly in Pacifica location but was up for a bike ride and my friend told me "you need to go to this location" especially because they had some very expensive wine that I love there for 75% off regular price. I was very impressed, first the wine section is 2x bigger than Pacifica (I still love my local store) but they really had a great selection. I walked the rest of the store and selection was fantastic. Overall this is a great store and highly recommended

Clearance books are mostly $1.00, and most everything else is under $5.00. Community members frequently donate items so the shelves are refreshed regularly. Each time I come by, I always find at least one or two titles to take home (and usually more than that)! There is free street parking, as well as a parking lot in the back of the building. And they only take cash or checks.
