I think the universe will agree that Target is the best retail chain there is. One stop shopping sans that trailer park Walmart vibe. Admittedly, Walmart DOES beat Target's prices about 1/2 the time AND has a better selection, but I'd rather pay a couple bucks more than have to deal with Walmart's seedy crowds and oh-so-long lines. However... ...I don't like this Target. Even though it's a hop, skip and a jump from where I dwell, I try to avoid doing my shopping here. Listed are some of the reasons this location just doesn't float my boat: -Two floors = hassle. Perhaps it's me, but I groan if I have to take the elevator up to the second floor. It's not a big deal really, but just the idea of having to take your entire shopping cart to the second floor just to pick up an ink cartridge is annoying. This Target requires strategizing. You can't just wander in aimlessly to pick up a few things after work. You have to pre-plan, decide which floor you're going to tackle first, whether or not to opt for hand cart instead, where to wait in line (1st or 2nd floor registers) and where to park. Ugh. -Multi-level parking structure = hassle again. Do I park on the ground floor? Do I park on the top floor? When I exit the lot, I need to remember street I exit on (N. Oak Knoll Ave) only goes one way so I have to be prepared to square the block just to get back onto Colorado. Ugh. -Homeless + schizophrenic crowd = creepy. There are generally a handful of these folks hanging out on the benches outside the store. Note to self: Walk quickly past the crowd, keep your head down, avert eyes. -Hey, will you sign my petition? = I don't know about you, but I would enjoy NOT being accosted by Greenpeace asking for donations, LGBT groups asking me to sign petitions, or Girl Scouts asking me to buy cookies upon entering/exiting the store. Just. Want. To. Buy. Paper. Towels. In. Peace. TINY TIPS -2nd floor has self-checkout registers. -If you park in the lot, exit on Hudson rather than Oak Knoll. Oak Knoll is 1 way only. read more

This is my go-to Target, because it's not quite big enough to give me a headache. Some Targets can get overwhelming. Maybe being on two floors makes this place easier to handle. (I also make a point of coming at off-hours. The problem there is that you end up waiting a long time to check out.) They've also got three floors of parking, so I cant imagine there ever being a problem in terms of getting a space. I got the urge to review a Target after a positive experience I had this weekend. I was looking for a floor lamp, and was surprised to find that there were none on display. I looked a little closer and found some medium-sized boxes on the shelves, with pictures of nice-looking floor lamps on the front. Floor lamp in a box that size? I wasn't sure, but there was one which looked exactly like what I was looking for, and the price (once I checked with an associate) was right, so I figured I'd give it a try. (Not like I've ever had a problem returning anything to Target.) I got it home, opened the box, got some little pieces of Styrofoam on the carpet, and had the lamp put together in five minutes. Without tools. And it looked great and just like on the box. The whole thing was well made on a heavy base and very sturdy once assembled. I couldn't be more pleased. They just ought to have "so simple even a woman can put it together!" on the box. Moral of the story: don't be afraid to buy a floor lamp in a small box at Target. read more

My wife and I recently visited the Target located at 777 East Colorado Blvd in Pasadena for the first time, and we had an outstanding experience thanks to an employee named Adrian. From the moment we needed assistance locating several items, Adrian was incredibly professional, kind, and helpful. What really stood out was his servant's heart, which is so rare these days! He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and his dedication made our visit exceptional. The store's selection was also up to par, with numerous items available. The value was reasonably priced, and to top it off, I received a 5% discount for my birthday, which was such a nice touch! I truly want to recognize Adrian's excellent customer service and encourage management to acknowledge his hard work and highlight his performance among his peers. My wife and I will definitely be returning to this location, and we'll be sharing our experience with friends and family. Great service and great value like this deserve to be celebrated! I only go to Target when i need to get a few things other stores don't have because they have everything. I went in to look at vacuums and couldn't find anyone to help me. I asked a girl who looked like she worked there for help and she said rather rudely "i am on break" , at the same time a nice lady came out the double doors and heard her response and apologized and asked if she could help me find something. I told her i was looking for a nice vacuum and was interested in one that was for animal hair. She seemed extremely knowledgeable and helped me pick out a vacuum and even got me a cart and loaded it for me and aked if i needed anything else. Offered me a Redcard to save me another 5%. Her name was Kelly. So if you want exceptional service and friendly help look for her on the second floor. Wonderful experience. read more

This Place Blows..... Went to check out on the 2nd floor, and the Supervisor, a fat chick named Alex, wouldn't stop laughing her fat ass off!!!! I mean, nobody else was laughing except her. I even saw a cashier roll his eyes and muttered the words WTF (i read his lips). Anywhoo, its ur typical run of the mill target. Groceries, frozen food section, etc. Oh, and the cart pushing people are all weird. Theres a lot of wierd ppl that work at this target. Oh, and the store manager, some black guy named tony (thats what his badge said at least) who just stands around and yells at his employees IN FRONT OF GUESTS, was a super duper Jerk. I didn't think it was very professional to yell and talk down to his employees in front of people. And lastly, ALL THEIR CASHIERS LOOK VERY UNHAPPY...... I don't blame them. read more

Decent size target with two floors. Both floors has check out registers. Big down side is some employees are young and rude. When I use self check out, the machine freeze for a long time at the processing stage. So I asked for help. This young looking girl came over and took a glance at the screen and told me to try again. I tried again and same thing happen. She came over again and took another glance and told me the same thing "try again". I tried like 4 times, each time after she say "try again" she will go back to her "spot" and just stand there. I ended up using another self check out machine. If you want to ask for where certain items are at. It's either hit or miss. Some employees will know, majority of employees don't. read more

Hello everyone, I have been trying to work here for a very long time and not even that the fact that I have to take a 45 minute test just so that my application can go through and then I called the next day asking about my application then the manager is going to tell me that the application site is down but later on that day send me an email talking about so we already went through with another applicant so why would you guys have me fill out an application and take a test thinking that I might get a job My house was burnt down in the fire and this is the same Pasadena that I live in I would not go here or shop anymore because of the fact where it is putting people through. read more

Well.. if negative stars were possible I give it at least two. This has to be the worst Target I have ever set foot in. Too many homeless bums hanging around outside ..tried to sit out in my car for a few minutes before entering the store and got bothered by three bums.. And I call them bums because they looked perfectly able to do something besides be bums..Then I went in and the inside of the store is the biggest piece of crap I have ever seen in regards to a Target how this store manages to be kept this way in this part of Pasadena is beyond me. I stopped by here with a co-worker, as we were stocking up the office. I took the opportunity to shop for some home wares as well. This place is pretty sizable, reminding me of the one I frequented when I was on the east coast. It has two floors, a large floor plan in each, and the place is kept tidy. I didn't see too many customer service reps on the floor, but we came here late evening on a Sunday so that is not out of the normal. We found everything we needed, checked out, and headed out the door. There were no problems in our experience, so this place earns four stars. read more

This place is a joke. The "managers" are all corrupted and will not sell you anything because they will only sell to "others". They claim they need "to be fair to others" when there is no one else in the store. I already reported this store to corporate. Here's hoping they close the store down. had a terrible experience. I had to give it at least one star because there was a very good looking guy working there named Todd. What a dreamboat... but they wouldn't return my shirt which i had to wald a half a mile and up to second floor to customer service. said i gave them 10 when i game them 20 at the register checking out, so I lost 10 bucks and because the carts lock when you get close to the door which i parked near, i had to carry my huge toilet paper and paper towels and bags to my car without a cart. read more

This Target's Ok. I wouldn't say this Target is my favorite choice for shopping but I go to this one more so out of convenience. This being where it is it feels like it is a little bit busier than most Targets. Generally all Targets try to have a uniform feeling in terms of layout and products. But I feel like Targets in busier sections of the city can be a little more run down and crowded than most Targets. And so it doesn't always translate into the most pleasant shopping experience a shopper can experience. read more

I had a great experience at this Target! The store was super clean and well organized, which made it easy to find everything I needed. The aisles were neat, the shelves were stocked, and everything looked fresh and inviting. The employees were very friendly and helpful, greeting me with a smile and offering assistance right away. I always feel like going to target can always be a good thing or a horrible thing . I walk in thinking im going to leave with one thing and end up leaving with 100 things . Specially if i am coming for my pain meds . My visits to the pharmacy are more often than normal... My last visit was some what great but the young man that help could use a little more training on customer service . Looking forward to update my review in the future. read more

Honestly I really do like shopping at target and I like to go there often as I have a ton of items that I would need for daily use however I do not appreciate when a manager of the store feels the need to speak about me to other coworkers in a negative manner. Hey hey, what can I say? Target is there for my every day needs. Generally more of a general home goods, toys, find anything store, they even have a grocery. Although I mostly shop groceries at Vons, Trader Joes, or Whole foods, sometimes if I miss something I'll pick it up at Target while I'm shopping there.
