This location now forces you to either dilate, your eyes or use a machine that can look in the back of your eyes. With a fee of course. With the extra cost, you're at $170 to $205 for an eye exam. Last year I wasn't told or asked. I feel bamboozled. I definitely won't be coming back to this location. You can get eye exam's anywhere and not be forced to pay for something you don't want. read more

We've been to many different Target Optical locations and I have to say, this one probably has been the BEST. We went there on a busy Saturday afternoon to exchange a pair of glasses. I was frustrated at first since my previous pair (completed at another Target Optical) did not feel right. Dylan, Kaylyn and Nikki provided excellent customer service and helped us with professional knowledge and great patience. They listened and understood our concerns and went over and beyond to achieve customer satisfaction. Definitely the best optometry place in Phoenix: fast, minimum wait time, super easy to make appointment. My contact lenses exam was completed within 30 minutes. I spent 2 hours at the America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses in Phoenix and could not get it done and the wait time there was 45 minutes. I took the contact lenses exam with 2 different doctors in 2 years (the most recent was with Dr. Dang) and they were both excellent. I got my new glasses and frames here and while it's not too different from all the other target opticals i drive 30 minutes to this location because of Dylan. Dylan helped me understand my insurance as well as was super patient and by far the BEST customer service experience i have ever had. He was profesional and kind and so helpful. Victor was amazing, he jumped into action trying to help me find my prescription and getting me a set to get through this weekend. I had an appointment with Dr. Dang this morning and she was absolutely wonderful. She was kind and patient. I also really liked how she took the time to explain everything out to me in simple examples. She also took the time to listen to my concerns and fix some of my previous prescription issues. Wonderful staff and very great at what they do! I was able to get an appointment the same day. Dr. Turk and the optician were very good at explaining things and making you feel very comfortable. Every step was explained to me. It was very thorough. I came in filled out paper work, including HIPAA and brief medical history. Then I was immediately brought in to get my eyes checked at the machines, one with the and the other with a light moving side to side. I showed Dr. Turk my previous prescription as a starting point. He was able to figure out what prescription would help me see clearly because my current glasses were a tad blurry. I got both prescriptions to take home with me in a nice red Target envelope with my receipt. unlike some other places where they don't give you your prescription because they are afraid you'll take it somewhere else. I'll be sure to recommend this place anyone who needs them. They even gave me trial pairs as a part of my eye exam to take try. My contacts got ordered, but if I don't like the trials they can order a different prescription for me. I have dry eyes and they have me a sample of blink eye drops for my contacts to try. I absolutely LOVE everyone here! Victor, Stephanie, Dr. Turk and Dr. Cain are an awesome team and they have always helped my boyfriend and I with all of our eyewear needs. They are so friendly and approachable and don't try to oversell you or push anything. Victor and Stephanie have sat down with me and done the math on getting us the best deal for our glasses. They have also been incredibly patient with me and have helped so much since I'm a new glasses-wearer and I'm not familiar with caring for and finding the right pair. The doctors are also very kind and patient and answered all of the questions I had about my eyesight. I would recommend this location and team to anyone looking to get some new glasses or get their eyes checked out. Loved the Dr , but will not return. Their rules and policies stop them from giving superior customer service. I experienced issues with a brand of contacts and it was out of their "90 day policy" to help me fit into a new brand. Their solution was to have another full eye exam at my expense( it has not even been a year , and a new exam is unnecessary).You would think with Covid etc , companies would go out of their way to help customers . I give 5 stars for the dr , but 0 stars for the customer service provided, or lack there of . read more

Went for a contact fitting and exam. Staff were extremely friendly, patient and helpful. They helped me explore all my options without trying to upsell me on any unnecessary products or services. I really appreciated how they coached me on putting in/taking out contact lenses for the first time. It took me quite a few tries, but I finally got the technique down with their help. I recently tried this place for the first time. I was wary of going to a place within a big box store thinking maybe I'd get better service at a nice stand alone Optometry office. I was so wrong! Dr. Dhang was wonderful! I have never had an eye doctor explain everything about my eyes in a way that I could really understand. It was awesome. I am also usually fairly concerned that I pick the wrong numbers when an eye doctor asks "1 or 2? 3 or 4?" Because it's often so close that I'm just guessing and not super sure which option is better. Well she informed me after the exam that she notes my hesitation and double checks many of the options is various ways. It was so relieving! I was really confident that she had done a thorough evaluation of what was needed for my eyes. The front office people were really nice too and gave me my prescription info in an envelope to use anywhere I please for contacts or glasses. I ended up buying contacts there and had them sent directly to my house. Also loved the Saturday appointment and the attached Target for if my eyes are dialated and I need a little while to hang out before going outside/driving.
