Then when switching insurance allowed me to go to Dr. Choe. She gave me one of the best eye exams that I have had in years. And to add the cherry on top my prescription was perfect. With Kaiser I would have to get 3-4 repeat eye exams and it was never correct. Dr. Choe gave a really comprehensive exam and was an absolute sweetheart. Highly recommended.

We had a very disappointing experience with a LINDBERG product issue and the warranty service at…read moreCentury City Optometry. In short, within only about five months of our original purchase, two LINDBERG frames each developed a crack after approximately two months of normal use, and after the second failure, we were not offered a repair, replacement, or refund for the cracked replacement frame. We purchased a LINDBERG frame with premium lenses here about five months ago. After approximately two months of normal use, we noticed a crack developing on the inner/lens side of the frame. We brought the glasses back to the store, and the frame was replaced under warranty. Unfortunately, after approximately another two months of normal use, we noticed a very similar crack developing on the replacement frame, in essentially the same location on the inner/lens side. The glasses had not been involved in an accident or exposed to unusual heat, and we did not use alcohol wipes on them. We returned to the store and explained what had happened. Given that two separate frames had developed similar cracks in essentially the same location within such a short period, we hoped the repeated issue would be investigated and that a reasonable resolution would be offered. However, we were told that the frame would not be replaced again because it had already been replaced once under warranty. The only solution offered to us was to purchase another new frame ourselves, while the store would cover the cost of new lenses. What makes this experience especially frustrating is that no solution was offered for the cracked replacement frame itself - no repair, no replacement, and no refund. The only option presented to us requires us to pay for another frame, even though our original purchase was made only about five months ago. They did not give any reason of the cracking or offer anything else, except asking us to buy a new frame. What we do know is that two separate LINDBERG frames supplied through Century City Optometry developed very similar cracks in essentially the same location after roughly two months of normal use each. For an expensive LINDBERG frame with premium lenses, this is not the product reliability or after-sales experience we expected.

A young man answered the phone and took my personal information and scheduled me for a visit the next day at 3:00pm. I was so excited to have a next day appointment that I left phone at home. BUT, I remembered the address so I "thought" I would be okay. I arrive on time and let 2 people know that I have a 3pm appointment. A young lady walks over to me asking for information. I told her I provided it yesterday when I made my appointment. She told me they do not do phone authorizations. So I gave her my info. She came back and told me she can't see me today because I already had an authorization with my insurance company for another office. I asked her if this was Dr. Tom's office, she said yes. I asked her if I could call VSP since I left my phone at home. She said no. I asked her to call, she said no because it was my personal business. There was a little bit of this and that In the conversation. Needless to say, she never called VSP, because I think she figured out that she was giving me a run around about all of this mess and that they actually had performed the authorization. Okay, now we're on to my contact lenses. She told me they do not sell Air Optix and another lens they carry is the same. I told her I tried those other lenses and these work better FOR ME. Anyone who wears contacts knows that when you mind a pair that really works well, you do not want to go BACK to a pair that didn't work so well and I restated that I only wear Air Optix she said sorry we don't carry that lenses. The manager came over and said that they can order the Air Optix. Ugh.... poke me with a fork. Done.... I'm going back to my old Dr in Calabasas. BTW, when I got home I called the number that I dialed to make the appointment and it WAS Dr. Tom's office.

Dr. Truong attitude felt impatient and dismissive throughout the exam. I received unexpected news about my eyes and needed time to process before purchasing frames. I simply asked for copies of my exam and previous prescription, and was questioned and met with clear frustration. It shouldn't be difficult to access your own medical information. I flat out told the guy I wanted the same glasses - classic Ray Ban Wayfarers in matte black - I already had and they made for me a couple years earlier. He said they no longer made them in matte black. So I asked for them in glossy. He spent another 20 minutes digging around and said they no longer made those either. Now, this set my spider sense off because Ray Ban not making classic Wayfarers is like McDonald's no longer serving hamburgers. So I politely say I'll look around and get back to them. I leave, spend two minutes on the Ray Ban website, and find the exact glasses I was asking for. I call the office back, get another sales rep, and tell him I was just in and wanted to order these glasses. He finds them instantly - same number that was on the glasses I showed the original rep. The new guy tells me I'll have to work with the original salesman - the guy who didn't really know what he was doing - and I'm kinda like "Do I have to?" He politely chuckles and assures me I'll hear back from the other guy within the day. Two days later and I never heard a peep. Get your eyes checked there but buy your glasses elsewhere. I practically spoon fed the guy a sale and couldn't even a call back. Disappointing. Updated Review 4/5 - I was contacted by Dr. Zelaya less than 24 hours after posting this review to make this situation right. I was given a quote for the order, clear communication, and assured that the consumer service issue would be addressed with the staff. I decided to order my third pair of glasses through their office.
