We've had such a great experience with Target Optical! My whole family has gotten glasses here, and everyone we've worked with has always been friendly, helpful, and welcoming. On our most recent visit, we stopped by because my 9-year-old had managed to break TWO of her frames. She's very sporty, so her glasses definitely get put through it! Devon was incredibly kind and helpful and was able to fix both pairs in under 10 minutes. We couldn't be happier with the customer service we received. It's so nice knowing we have a place we can count on when something happens. Thank you, Devon and the Target Optical team! read more

Dr. Choe performed my eye exam. I had been with Kaiser for 6 years and recently switched insurance. My Kaiser eye doctors were the biggest bunch of inept unskilled doctors I have had the displeasure of going to. Then when switching insurance allowed me to go to Dr. Choe. She gave me one of the best eye exams that I have had in years. And to add the cherry on top my prescription was perfect. With Kaiser I would have to get 3-4 repeat eye exams and it was never correct. Dr. Choe gave a really comprehensive exam and was an absolute sweetheart. Highly recommended. read more

Kathy was so sweet with taking her time with helping me choose my frames - I don't think I would've had such patience with myself being so fickle lol. Got a third opinion on my frames by another worker named Tony and he was also gracious with providing input. Dr. Husain was also really great to work with. Was in and out pretty quickly; I did the dilation drops for my eye and it was noted I had dry eyes so I received some drops for that. Highly recommend this place and would come back next year. Stoked about my new glasses; I'm here as we speak writing this review cause I'm so happy about the customer service. read more

Every visit has been a positive experience. Eye exam is always easy. Solid pricing on contacts, and also it was really easy to get my glasses fixed. 10/10 read more

My Ray-Ban sunglasses lost a nose rest and, boy, did that hurt. I tried a CVS repair kit which did nothing but cost me $5. I was at my wits end when I randomly walked into the Target Optical Store in Culver City. Tony Damian greeted me and immediately set to work matching the right nose rest and repairing my sunglasses. In minutes it was done. And, best of all, no charge. A Ray-Ban customer, he reminded me, gets lifetime repairs and service for their sunglasses. Something I never really knew before. This was outstanding customer service, in support of an extraordinary warranty. Thanks, Target Optical! read more

They are rating about a zero. Please do NOT use this optical. I thought I was going in for a nice day to get contacts and it turned into an unbelievable senario. From saying they dont stock contacts and charging you the day they do not fit them. To coming again and being given ones that do not fit your eyes. Returning, for a 3rd Dr to say they do not fit and opening up their stock of contacts. To not being able to find the download of magnified saftey glasses and they cannot get you the email box to see of the download. It is totally so terrible it is nearly as if they are playing a joke on a person! They are awful. I went to target and thought I could be seeing the same week. They are so desperate for the 180 exam fee and that is pathetic! read more

Horrible experience. I went for a vision check ealier this year, and had contact lens fitting for my once a year visit covered by my insurance. I tried a sample of some daily contacts that I didn't like. Nothing was mentioned about how I would need to place an order within 90 days. I just now tried to order my regular contacts and was told that since my vision changed, and that I wasn't fitted for my regular contacts this visit, that I would need to come back in again and pay out of pocket for another vision test as well as contact fitting. They would only prescribe me for the daily contacts that I didn't like. Target optical said that they couldn't prescribe my normal ones since it was past 90 days. They said that it was noted on my prescription-which I never got. WHAT A SCAM! Never going back. My vision test is still valid, make it make sense. Also-when I was on the phone with them, I repeatedly asked if there was any way they can help me as an exception since I have been going there for years, or any suggestions and they had none besides that I should pay for another out of pocket exam and lens fitting. No suggestion of waiving the fee's or anything. Please beware of this place. read more

AMAZING service! Loved being here with explaining everything I needed and helped in my experience.

The worst experience ever. Target optical cancelled my order and no phone call, no apologies. I would give them zero stars if I could.

Shout out to Elizabeth who provided world class customer service during my visit at Target Optical today! She went above and beyond to explain progressive lenses, helped me choose the perfect frame that complimented my face and made sure I used the right coupon to help with my purchase. Thank you for the excellent care!!! read more

I've been going to the eye doctor for over 15 years now and this is by far the best experience ever had! Dr. Choe was absolutely amazing, so sweet and kind and very charismatic. I've never had an eye doctor like her. Fred helped me with picking out glasses and checking out and was very helpful and kind and gave me great suggestions. I was in and out within 30mins. Dr Choe is absolutely wonderful. I hope that my family is able to use her from now on. The entire experience exceeded expectations. The front desk staff is very friendly and accommodating. Dr Choe is so professional and knowledgeable. The doctor really understands people and their needs as well as wants. We as a family are so thankful we found Dr Susan Choe and we are so happy we picked target optical. I can see much better and know how to care for my eyes better. read more

After going to the same optometrist office for about 15 plus years, my insurance coverage unexpectedly changed, so I had to relocate to a different eye doctor office for my annual visit. At first, with the thought of going to an eye doctor located in a store, I'd thought the friendly, comfortable visits I'd been used to, were all unfortunately in the past. However, upon my annual visit this year, it was great to be greeted by Dr. Husain for the second year in a row! She's very professional, knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. It was satisfying to know that she was aware of my prior visit a year ago, facilitating effective follow-up concerns. The checkup went very quickly and smoothly, allowing me extra time for shopping in the Target store! Especially nice on this visit was the front reception staff - Tony immediately greeted me upon my entrance, and he was very friendly and informative, answering my numerous questions. When he was busy helping another customer, Tricia ably assisted me with an additional dozen questions While shopping for my eyeglass frames, and then checking out, she was also very professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful! Her able assistance was absolutely appreciated! Overall, I'm very glad to be a regular customer here! Highly recommended !!! read more

I'm so pleased I stopped by the Optical department! I had purchased a pair of sunglasses at a big box store but they were falling off my face and I happened to go to Target the next day for some things, so on a whim stopped in and asked if they would adjust them for me even though I didn't buy them there. Areeba was the optician at the desk and was more than happy to help me. The doctor was even in the area and we all started chatting like we were old friends. I would have stayed longer however Areeba was done and a patient came in. My glasses were perfectly adjusted and I left felling like that experience made my day. I work in customer service and when I get get great service I really appreciate it! Thank you Areeba! read more

Seriously if you need glasses or contacts, come to this location. The staff are super friendly, fun and knowledgeable. They take the time to ask the right questions and helped me with all my insurance needs. They even helped me plan the best way to save money with my glasses and contacts and how to best maximize my discounts. Amazing staff but specifically want to recognize Areeba Shahzad, Optical Team Leader. Every time I went there she was always down to earth and friendly. read more

YES! A new Target Optical has opened super close to my house. I went in for my eye exam with Dr. Husain, she was so friendly and knowledgeable. The best part was that it was so quick and efficient. The Optical Staff is awesome as well. They have a huge variety of frames including: Ray Bans, Versace, Coach, Emporio Armani, Vogue, and Oakley. They have all the latest styles, including the Ray Ban aviators and all clear plastic frames. The best part was that they had a buy one get one 40% off sale! So not only was I able to get myself a new clear pair, but also brand new sunglasses in my prescription. (Costco did not even have close to as large of a collection as target). I was able to get a new pair of ray Ban sunglasses with authentic ray ban lenses for 40% off!!! My glasses were ready fairly quickly. Devon made sure to adjust my glasses at time of pick up. The whole staff is so friendly and fun. It was a wonderful/ fun experience. read more

The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and patient. They were quick to offer help, we love their insurance policies.

So this would be 1 star if the front desk wasn't so put together and helpful. Also, this is my second time here, so I should have known better. The whole eye exam was rushed, maybe 6-7 minutes. And then I was just asked to pay the bill and that was that. When I asked the doctor questions she gave short answers like she had better things to do. I would definitely never go again. More than anything, it seems like everyone else has had a good experience here- so maybe I just got unlikely. Two years in a row. read more

Being generous with 2 stars because the staff and the optometrist were friendly. The exam room is filthy and so was the equipment. I had to ask the optometrist to clean the oily streaks from the lenses in her exam equipment several times and she used a tissue instead of an alcohol wipe or other cleaning agent. No alcohol wipes were used during the exam and I've always had optometrists wipe equipment with alcohol before my face or head touched it even prior to Covid. I would hope more precautions and extra cleaning procedures would be implemented especially in exam rooms but it was dusty everywhere, the counter had a body hair on it and the sink was filthy. I hope I didn't catch anything. read more

Dr. Preston was incredibly kind, thorough, patient, and meticulous. I really felt like he wanted to help me with my eye problem and took an interest in my well being! I'm so grateful! read more

This place is a disaster!.I waited 10 days for my glasses to be ready and it didn't happen. I was called on the 10th day and I was told that my glass frames were broken and that the company would pay for my frames. The company didn't pay for my frames and I didn't get a refund. This was a terrible experience. I will not use this place anymore and I will be seeking legal help read more

The two ladies who helped me today were great - I wish I'd gotten their names so I could give them a shout out. I came for a repair and they took care of it without a problem. Excellent customer service. Not all Target optical shops are as good which is a shame. It shows how the difference between between a great experience and a bad one comes down to the people who work there . I will definitely come back. read more

Helpful, friendly, and ready to serve! I needed a small repair to my glasses and I arrived as a walk-in. I usually don't take the time to write reviews, but Ivy left such a positive experience for me and my father to do that. In one word, she was EXCEPTIONAL!!!! Best customer service ever. I went with my father to get him an eyeglasses, which it can be a challenging task since he doesn't get easily pleased with anything. Ivy offered all options available for him, she was honest and straight forward. It was truly a pleasant experience, If you want eyeglasses, go to IVY!!!!! she is the best. Just had to take the time and say what an amazing experience I had here. And no less inside a Target!! What more could you ask for? Kudos to Areeba Shahzad and forgive me the gal (forgot her name) who helped me check in. Professional, fun, down to earth, knowledgable and patient. They fitted me for contacts and it was a wonderful experience. This is my go to place now. Thanks you two!! You are wonderful and very good at what you do. This was my first time going here. I checked out a few places prior to choosing this location. I am so glad I did. My whole visit was good from start to finish. The receptionist Vanessa was very nice, and helpful. She went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. Vanessa customer service was excellent. Than off to the back I go. Dr Susan Choe is THE BEST. During my entire exam; she explained everything that was going to happen. She was very patient with me. She asked me several times if I had any questions or concerns. Thank you so much for making me feel welcomed. Definitely my new Optometry office. read more

So I looked at the reviews here and kinda thought some bots were pulling a scam, but don't y'all worry cause they aren't. This place is amazing. Areeba and Devon were the super friendly folks up front and their kindness and good humor made trying to find a new pair of glasses a lot less frustrating. Dr. Hii was extra amazing because I usually HATE going to the optometrist and she made it so I didn't this time. Little bit of background, I realllyyyyyy dislike spending money on eye exams because most optometrists tell me the same thing: we don't want to give you a stronger prescription because we don't want your eyes to get weak. This may seem logical until you consider the eye strain I inevitably have to deal with when my glasses don't actually help me see things. So rather than doing that, Dr. Hii actually listened to me, gave me a thorough exam and then acknowledged that my new prescription should be -4.25 instead of the -3.5 it used to be. This may seem so normal and almost boring to y'all, but it's seriously been 10 years of hearing the above mentioned excuse and then having to spend $100+ on a prescription that didn't really help me. That said, it is so so good to see clearly again and I should also mention that my glasses are probably the coolest ones I've ever gotten... I'm very happy with these folks and their service and I'm 100% certain you will be too (as long as you're a rational regular human and not the psychos that we so often see in Yelp reviews). read more

Worst eye examination I have ever experience. I too felt rushed during the initial eye exam. I was asked questions as if I was the expert in writing my own prescription - which has never happened in all the 40 years I have been wearing glasses. I complained about having problems with my prescription right away. Was asked to come back to pick up another trial contact lenses prescription but it was not in the store when I went in to pick it up. It was almost a month before I was called to pick up the new trial pair. Once again something is still not right. I called to let the Doctor know but the manager of Target Optical said I would have to pay again to see the Doctor if I wanted to make another appointment. I think not! Why would I pay again for a service I am completely unhappy with. The manager herself said that she has been advised to make no exceptions to the 90 day guarantee - which I DID return before 90 days to complain. She also mentioned that this has been a problem in the past with other customers and she has been given strict rules to follow - which is why she knows how to respond to my complaint without contacting the Doctor. It is my opinion that the way Target Optical is handling my prescription concerns prove that they really could care less about their customers. Appreciatively, all that matters is the next $175 that can be collected. I will never return to Target Optical and do not recommend them to anyone. You are better off going to Costco - you do not have to have a membership to take advantage of their optical services. #neversupportacompanywithhorriblecustomerservice read more

I live in another state and am constantly going back and forth. I ran out of contacts one day. And I called Areeba to help me get them and she put the order in right away. She was also able to ship them to me at a decent price. I'm really happy with the customer service. Additionally I asked Areeba for help to find some glasses and she was able to find me the perfect pair. It looked really good and really suited me.
