Got a third opinion on my frames by another worker named Tony and he was also gracious with providing input. Dr. Husain was also really great to work with. Was in and out pretty quickly; I did the dilation drops for my eye and it was noted I had dry eyes so I received some drops for that. Highly recommend this place and would come back next year. My Ray-Ban sunglasses lost a nose rest and, boy, did that hurt. I tried a CVS repair kit which did nothing but cost me $5. I was at my wits end when I randomly walked into the Target Optical Store in Culver City. Tony Damian greeted me and immediately set to work matching the right nose rest and repairing my sunglasses. In minutes it was done. And, best of all, no charge. A Ray-Ban customer, he reminded me, gets lifetime repairs and service for their sunglasses. Something I never really knew before. They are rating about a zero. Please do NOT use this optical. I thought I was going in for a nice day to get contacts and it turned into an unbelievable senario. From saying they dont stock contacts and charging you the day they do not fit them. To coming again and being given ones that do not fit your eyes. Returning, for a 3rd Dr to say they do not fit and opening up their stock of contacts. To not being able to find the download of magnified saftey glasses and they cannot get you the email box to see of the download. It is totally so terrible it is nearly as if they are playing a joke on a person! They are awful. I went to target and thought I could be seeing the same week. They are so desperate for the 180 exam fee and that is pathetic! read more

Horrible experience. I went for a vision check ealier this year, and had contact lens fitting for my once a year visit covered by my insurance. I tried a sample of some daily contacts that I didn't like. Nothing was mentioned about how I would need to place an order within 90 days. I just now tried to order my regular contacts and was told that since my vision changed, and that I wasn't fitted for my regular contacts this visit, that I would need to come back in again and pay out of pocket for another vision test as well as contact fitting. They would only prescribe me for the daily contacts that I didn't like. Target optical said that they couldn't prescribe my normal ones since it was past 90 days. They said that it was noted on my prescription-which I never got. WHAT A SCAM! Never going back. My vision test is still valid, make it make sense. Also-when I was on the phone with them, I repeatedly asked if there was any way they can help me as an exception since I have been going there for years, or any suggestions and they had none besides that I should pay for another out of pocket exam and lens fitting. No suggestion of waiving the fee's or anything. Please beware of this place. read more

After going to the same optometrist office for about 15 plus years, my insurance coverage unexpectedly changed, so I had to relocate to a different eye doctor office for my annual visit. At first, with the thought of going to an eye doctor located in a store, I'd thought the friendly, comfortable visits I'd been used to, were all unfortunately in the past. However, upon my annual visit this year, it was great to be greeted by Dr. Husain for the second year in a row! She's very professional, knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. It was satisfying to know that she was aware of my prior visit a year ago, facilitating effective follow-up concerns. The checkup went very quickly and smoothly, allowing me extra time for shopping in the Target store! Especially nice on this visit was the front reception staff - Tony immediately greeted me upon my entrance, and he was very friendly and informative, answering my numerous questions. When he was busy helping another customer, Tricia ably assisted me with an additional dozen questions While shopping for my eyeglass frames, and then checking out, she was also very professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful! I'm so pleased I stopped by the Optical department! I had purchased a pair of sunglasses at a big box store but they were falling off my face and I happened to go to Target the next day for some things, so on a whim stopped in and asked if they would adjust them for me even though I didn't buy them there. Areeba was the optician at the desk and was more than happy to help me. The doctor was even in the area and we all started chatting like we were old friends. I would have stayed longer however Areeba was done and a patient came in. My glasses were perfectly adjusted and I left felling like that experience made my day. YES! A new Target Optical has opened super close to my house. I went in for my eye exam with Dr. Husain, she was so friendly and knowledgeable. The best part was that it was so quick and efficient. The Optical Staff is awesome as well. They have a huge variety of frames including: Ray Bans, Versace, Coach, Emporio Armani, Vogue, and Oakley. They have all the latest styles, including the Ray Ban aviators and all clear plastic frames. The best part was that they had a buy one get one 40% off sale! So not only was I able to get myself a new clear pair, but also brand new sunglasses in my prescription. (Costco did not even have close to as large of a collection as target). I was able to get a new pair of ray Ban sunglasses with authentic ray ban lenses for 40% off!!! My glasses were ready fairly quickly. Devon made sure to adjust my glasses at time of pick up. So this would be 1 star if the front desk wasn't so put together and helpful. Also, this is my second time here, so I should have known better. The whole eye exam was rushed, maybe 6-7 minutes. And then I was just asked to pay the bill and that was that. When I asked the doctor questions she gave short answers like she had better things to do. I would definitely never go again. Being generous with 2 stars because the staff and the optometrist were friendly. The exam room is filthy and so was the equipment. I had to ask the optometrist to clean the oily streaks from the lenses in her exam equipment several times and she used a tissue instead of an alcohol wipe or other cleaning agent. No alcohol wipes were used during the exam and I've always had optometrists wipe equipment with alcohol before my face or head touched it even prior to Covid. I would hope more precautions and extra cleaning procedures would be implemented especially in exam rooms but it was dusty everywhere, the counter had a body hair on it and the sink was filthy. I hope I didn't catch anything. read more

This place is a disaster!.I waited 10 days for my glasses to be ready and it didn't happen. I was called on the 10th day and I was told that my glass frames were broken and that the company would pay for my frames. The company didn't pay for my frames and I didn't get a refund. This was a terrible experience. I will not use this place anymore and I will be seeking legal help read more

So I looked at the reviews here and kinda thought some bots were pulling a scam, but don't y'all worry cause they aren't. This place is amazing. Areeba and Devon were the super friendly folks up front and their kindness and good humor made trying to find a new pair of glasses a lot less frustrating. Dr. Hii was extra amazing because I usually HATE going to the optometrist and she made it so I didn't this time. Little bit of background, I realllyyyyyy dislike spending money on eye exams because most optometrists tell me the same thing: we don't want to give you a stronger prescription because we don't want your eyes to get weak. This may seem logical until you consider the eye strain I inevitably have to deal with when my glasses don't actually help me see things. So rather than doing that, Dr. Hii actually listened to me, gave me a thorough exam and then acknowledged that my new prescription should be -4.25 instead of the -3.5 it used to be. This may seem so normal and almost boring to y'all, but it's seriously been 10 years of hearing the above mentioned excuse and then having to spend $100+ on a prescription that didn't really help me. That said, it is so so good to see clearly again and I should also mention that my glasses are probably the coolest ones I've ever gotten... I'm very happy with these folks and their service and I'm 100% certain you will be too (as long as you're a rational regular human and not the psychos that we so often see in Yelp reviews). read more

Worst eye examination I have ever experience. I too felt rushed during the initial eye exam. I was asked questions as if I was the expert in writing my own prescription - which has never happened in all the 40 years I have been wearing glasses. I complained about having problems with my prescription right away. Was asked to come back to pick up another trial contact lenses prescription but it was not in the store when I went in to pick it up. It was almost a month before I was called to pick up the new trial pair. Once again something is still not right. I called to let the Doctor know but the manager of Target Optical said I would have to pay again to see the Doctor if I wanted to make another appointment. I think not! Why would I pay again for a service I am completely unhappy with. The manager herself said that she has been advised to make no exceptions to the 90 day guarantee - which I DID return before 90 days to complain. She also mentioned that this has been a problem in the past with other customers and she has been given strict rules to follow - which is why she knows how to respond to my complaint without contacting the Doctor. It is my opinion that the way Target Optical is handling my prescription concerns prove that they really could care less about their customers. Appreciatively, all that matters is the next $175 that can be collected. I will never return to Target Optical and do not recommend them to anyone.
