They said my last pair just came in. I asked why they had not called when the first pair came in as I was very clear I could not drive or read. I got silence. I went in to get my glasses and waited close to 20 minutes Just for them to be fitted and put in a case. Now when I finally saw someone she was great, thus the 3 and not a 1 rating. She took care to fit the glasses right and put them all in cases--not the cases I thought I would have like the ones with the name of these expensive designer glasses I bought, but whatever. I won't be back. Don't make promises you can't keep, if there is an issue call the customer and don't make them call you, because having my husband drive me around is just so much fun and not at all a waste if his workday.

My first attempt to contact the company was through Facebook on March 21 regarding availability of the Jacques Marie Mage Lucknow in Beluga. I never received a response. I then sent an email on March 26 and also received no reply. Because I was trying to confirm whether the frames were physically in stock before purchasing, I eventually had to call the store directly from overseas at approximately 4:00 AM local time due to the time difference. During that call, I asked why I had not received responses to either my Facebook message or email and was told my inquiry may have been "lost in all the emails." I was also informed that the optical frames I originally wanted were no longer available, but that the sunglasses version was still available instead. I ultimately placed the order on April 10 (April 9 U.S. time) and received a shipping confirmation and tracking number two days later. However, despite advertised 2-day shipping, the tracking remained at "label created" with no movement for over a week. I reached out again on April 19 to ask why the package had still not shipped. I was then told there had been issues with USPS pickups related to military/DPO shipping requirements and was assured the package would ship within 48 hours. To be fair, the frames did eventually arrive and were authentic, properly packaged, and in excellent condition. The product itself was great. However, for luxury eyewear at this price level, I expected significantly better communication, responsiveness, and shipping transparency. Customers should not have to repeatedly follow up across multiple platforms or make international calls in the middle of the night simply to confirm inventory and shipment status. Overall: - Excellent product quality - Poor communication - Frustrating fulfillment experience - Customer service that did not match the luxury pricing I'm happy with the frames themselves, but the overall buying experience left a lot to be desired.

Del Rey Optometry in Marina Del Rey isn't my usual office, but I had such a great experience there I had to review it! I've been having trouble with my contacts irritating my right eye, and I was about to fly across the country to be in my brother's wedding (!), so my usual doctor (David Golden) arranged to have Dr. Kobayashi squeeze me in on a Sunday at the Marina Del Rey office instead. Illeana at the front desk welcomed me, and took me back almost immediately for my preliminary tests -- she was very professional and efficient. Dr. Kobayashi was great -- so nice, and also extremely thorough. She asked quite a few questions and really listened to my answers, and she came up with both a temporary solution to get me through the wedding, and a plan for a permanent solution. She also offered some excellent general advice, after noticing my eyes are prone to some specific issues. I was fitted with a couple different types of contacts by Oscar, who was really friendly and knowledgable, and stayed to make sure I was all set while I tried the different pairs on. Dr. Kobayashi checked my eyes carefully after I tried each pair -- I ended up with comfortable lenses and enough samples to get me through my event, and everyone wished me a good trip as I left only about 35 minutes later! I felt well taken care of, but never rushed, and I couldn't believe how quickly I was done. Best of all worlds. I highly recommend this office, the great staff and Dr. Kobayashi! read more

There are so many good things I could say about Del Rey Optometry but not enough time. They have the best staff I have ever worked with. I have been a customer for about 7-8 years back when it was Dr. Nankas' practice. They really care about the people they service and everyone is very personable. I had LASIK during the pandemic, so now I mostly come in for my annual eye exams and cross my fingers that everything still looks perfect. I went there because I thought with my new EyeMed membership, I would get a good deal on some new glasses. Things started out bad and went downhill from there. I showed up for my appointment to find that they had no record of it, despite that I used the online system they insisted on and received a text telling me the exact day and time to come down. They apologized and eventually saw me anyway. Things continued in this vein, as the office staff was unable to figure out how to use one of the pre-checkup machines, and after 5 attempts which caused me some discomfort, ended up using a different machine. Not sure why they didn't use the machine they knew how to use in the first place. Again, the doctor himself and the checkup all went fine. But once things got back in the office staff's hands, more trouble. About a week later, I got a call saying my contact lenses, which I had also ordered, were ready. I trekked down there only to find that no, there was a mistake, they're not ready, come back next week. I came back the following week, and after taking a while to find them, the woman who was helping me showed up with a bag of about 8 contacts. "Are these all mine, or different prescriptions for me to try out?" She looked through the bag, then just grabbed half of the contacts, took them out, handed me back the bag and said "these are yours." What? Then she asked if I needed any saline solution or a case. I said yes, since I hadn't had contacts in years and didn't have any of that stuff. After making me wait another 20 minutes she came back and said "yeah, sorry, we don't have any of that." Meanwhile, weeks went by with no glasses. Finally I called and they said, "they're here, come in at the end of the day and pick them up." I came down, no glasses. Come back next week. I come back the next week, they first start trying to put my lenses into my frames when I arrive. After 30 minutes to an hour they explain "sorry, they cut the lenses too thin, we can't get them into the frames." We'll call you when they're ready. Couple more weeks go by. I call. "They'll be ready next Thursday. We'll text you." Thursday comes and goes, no text. Another week goes by. I call. "They're not here yet, but I put a rush order on (ha!) and they should be in any day. No text, so I call the following week. "They're here, our person is going to put them in the lenses first thing tomorrow, we'll text you." No text. I call the next day. Again, "you're first on the list, they'll be ready tomorrow." After three days of being "first on the list," I finally got my glasses, which are fine, but far from a perfect fit. On top of all this, not only were they not cheaper than my normal optometrist, they were nearly twice as expensive! Never, ever going back here.
