Not sure what is going on with this location, but this Target store over the last few months has gone down hill. I am a weekly (at least) Target shopper and it is consistently ransacked & the shelves are not stocked. This would be understandable for a holiday but on a random weekday there is no excuse. Although this is the most convenient location for me, I have started going out of my way to visit other Target locations, as to not deal with this store. Target, in general, I would give 5 stars but this location is lacking. read more

I live nearly across the street from Target - shop there quite a bit and was hoping it would soon be a Super Target, like the one in BR...until March 28 when I took my 26 yr old granddaughter shopping for some maternity clothes at the Target in Metairie. She just needed a few little things, so we bought a couple of knit crop pants, and 3 little tops. That along with some other things amounted to $146. The check-out clerk removed all of our carefully folded clothes from the cart, wadded them up and threw them into the sack. Then threw a pair of gardening shears, gardening gloves, a DVD and 2 gift cards on top of her maternity clothes. After looking at this wrinkled mess, I took the sack over to another counter, not in use and dumped it all out. I folded all the clothes, put the other items on the bottom, and then placed the clothing on top. I asked my granddaughter if I was being watched by the clerk who checked me out, she said no. Before I finished folding and bagging, another clerk arrived at the register where I was standing and announced, "You need to move as I have to open and check out customers" Now there were at least 6 other or more closed registers to "open". I told her I would move when I was finished what I was doing...and then as I walked away she hollered out, " I will take the next customer"...to which I replied " I am a customer" . Had my granddaughter been feeling better, I would have stood there and been "her next customer" and returned every item in that bag. In the past 3 days during that time I had spent nearly $400 at this Target. But that is the LAST dollar Target will get from me. I hope the Target manager reads this. This is my receipt Number if he does and wants to know who the clerk was: #2-0087-1449-0090-6389-7. Sears is just down the Mall. And Destination Motherhood treated my granddaughter like a queen and was wonderful..and folded her purchases. Every other place I go, Folds up your items. I used to be a Target lover, but no more...these two clerks did it in for me. read more

This is my first time eating at the Target Café, and they were severely understaffed. But the one employee there, Nancy, was great at multitasking. She was very behind in orders but she spent no time idle. I think she definitely deserves a raise. Target should be ashamed for having Nancy there alone for such a long period of time with no relief, I commend her for battling through the day but she deserves some assistance. Whenever I am in Target, I'll be sure to stop by the Target Cafè. read more

The sign for fresh chicken showed 20% off. When I went to the register it doesn't show it was taken off. Cashier claimed that it's already taken off and that's the price. They need to put up the sign clearly stating 20%off is already taken off. They are misleading customers. read more

I used to go there pre covid to return things I had ordered online. I usually did not have a problem with returns, but I'd rather go to Walmart. It's cheaper, with more options. read more

I HATE going to Walmart, so I usually come here for my sanity. I like parking in the back deck because it is right in the grocery section. Whether it is clothes, cleaning products, cat food and/or litter, or personal items, I know that this Target is a one-stop shop. In addition, my wait in line is fairly short. read more

I don't let myself go to Target very often, since it generally results in me talking myself down from the "Let's buy all the weird flimsy blouses with stars on them and all the Burt's Bee's lipbalm gift packs" ledge. So when I go there, I'm on a STRICT MISSION. Like, find all the $5 tights I saw there a few months ago and buy them. But the problem with going to this Target looking for something that you saw there a while ago is you will always fail, because this store does a lot of business. So if you see something you want, YOU NEED TO GET IT NOW. My favorite (dorky) thing about this Target is the little escalator thingy just for your cart. I like to think that the carts enjoy going for a ride. The groceries part of this Target is sort of an afterthought, but it is useful when your STRICT MISSION includes buying some dish detergent and a box of cereal. read more

Ahhhh Target. You are a necessary evil, only a shade brighter than your cousin- Wal-Mart. This Target is a split plan with groceries, seasonal, electronics and men's clothing upstairs and womens and more pharmacy-esque down the ever broken escalator. I navigate this store by parking in the deck then heading straight down to the paper-products/deodorant/laundry stuff on the first floor. It's easier to grab a basket and get the big stuff out of the way first, then I can take my time in the seasonal aisle and maybe pick up some boxed wine on my way to check out. It's soooo much easier to check out on the second floor. Then voila! I'm closer to my car! The customer service here is forgettable, but they get points because they seem to always be well stocked. read more

Way better selection than the slidell location. But if you want to try something on, forget it. The dressing rooms are a wreck, down right disgusting. The employees there should spend more time cleaning the actual stalls rather than standing at the desk handing out numbers to match the article of clothing you have to try on. I don't write bad reviews often but avoid the dressing rooms here at all costs! Everything else is great! read more

I have been shopping here since it opened and currently have a red card with them. It is I greatly becoming less customer orientated. Today was the worst of all my shopping experiences. I waited in line for 20 minutes and when finally reaching the cashier all of my items that I came specifically to target to get we're not scanning correctly. The cashiers easy solution was to send me to another line, where I calmly told her that I did not wish to wait in another line. She hen decided to remove the items from my purchase and attempt to process my order without the items. I told her that if I could not purchase my desired items that I did not wish to but the gift wrap or other small gifts to accompany the larger items. She helped me remove the stuff and took the cart. Pretty smooth process, but no one said sorry. And they lost $200 in sales just now. Needless to say I will be canceling my red card and will not be returning to target anytime soon. read more

This location has so much more than my local Target....we picked up some items for an upcoming trip that are probably not available locally...if I have the chance to stop in I do....The shoe department was a disaster, but this store is so large that I imagine it gets that way (two staffers were putting everything right). It's big yes, but so many items... read more

A two story Target? Fancy stuff. Overall, I think a Target is a Target- they generally don't differ too much. I'm a fan of Target, so it's nice that this location is so close to my house. It's all pretty typical, but I do think the grocery section here is a lot better than at some of the other Target's I've seen. The prices are reasonable, and the selections they offer can usually let me skip the grocery store that week if I've stopped in to get other things. read more

Just moved close by and this is by far the absolute worst Target I have ever seen. It looked more like a salvage center. Things are junked up and disorganized, out of stock on many things. I came in thinking I would spend several hundred on kitchen and bath items but left with a $12 garbage can. I will never go back here. It is obvious that whoever runs this location, has no pride in their job and could care less about the horrible shape this store is in. read more

When I was checking out and had an item with an improper tag, I asked a staff member to help and he rudely said I couldn't purchase it, took it and walked away. My issue was with how rude he was, I understand if I can't purchase something, but he was outwardly rude to the point other people with me commented on it. I come here all the time and I didn't appreciate it. read more

The last 4-5 times I have gone to this target their shelves have been very poorly stocked and I haven't been able to get what's on my list. Just went in and only 1 of the 5 items on my list was available. Unreal! If I didn't know better, I'd assume they were clearing their shelves to go out of business. read more

For me a trip to Target is quicker and more convenient than a trip to Walmart. Sadly, Target doesn't have Walmart's prices or carry some thing Walmart does. But what Target does carry they keep in stock (something Walmart doesn't do well) and usually the prices are quite reasonable. One of the better things about Target is location. Being inside a mall means I can hit several stores at once. I'd rather go to a real grocery store than the one here, but if I'm already at Target for other things I'll stop and pick up something for dinner. read more

Terrible location. The management is incompetent and obviously needs to be replaced. So many products stay out of stock and employees can be seen walking around the store doing nothing. I'll gladly drive out of my way to avoid this location read more

If you've been to 1 Target you've seen all of them. This one isn't really that different. Some people may live in areas with a Super Target that have much larger grocery sections, which this Target doesn't have. They frequently have sales on Kids clothes with is great for me, their clearance racks are a Godsend. Tip for those shopping here, don't park in front of the store, drive around back and park in the garage. read more

Sought out this Target on our drive to NOLA since we forgot to pack a few things. I didn't realize NOLA doesn't have a Target, but I also didn't realize how close Metairie is to the heart of the city. So it wasn't a big deal. Very large location, and from what I saw, it was clean. Typical Target! read more

Very disappointing lately........ 1.) few checkout lanes open making for long lines 2.) low stock and disorganized 3.) unfriendly staff, especially at guest services 4.) just a big let down!!! This used to be my go to, favorite store!! read more

Eh workers could be friendlier. I asked where the air mattress was and the worker didn't even make eye contact with me and stated "by the sporting goods" as she was walking away. But I guess you don't go to Target for exceptional service. Just for services you need for home/goods..... read more

Love coming to target! Employees here are super nice and helpful. They would assist and lead you to aisles you have trouble finding. Only thing is that target doesn't carry everything like how Walmart does. I wish they did so I wouldn't have to make multiple trips finding things. But customer service is exceptional. They also have a Starbucks upstairs and sometimes have promotions and discounts on the target app. read more

This store is terrible! I have had issues with this store 3 separate times. Just now they have only two registers open at 4:45 Sunday evening with 3 people and a manager standing around talking and over 5 people in each line. The line I am in the cashier turns his light off, and two people behind me run in the lane where one of the girls was talking opens up. I figure no problem, a guy is in front of me with a card, and I just have a loaf of bread. Figure we were in line, then he has to close right? Nope, he looks at me and says I'm closed, the manager looks at me and says to go into another line he's closed. Really?!?! You saw I have been in this line, there are 5 & 6 people in the other two lines, and you decide you're not checking me out, but the guy in front of me is ok. Another instance, I am overcharged and tell the girl, she says she fixed it, I tell her no she didn't, and she insists it's right. when she is finished I show her the double charge and she says I have to go to customer service downstairs. I go down there, they say they are closing I need to come back tomorrow. I explain I not coming back in the morning for the dawn refund $2.47. She charged me for two, then rang it up again and took one off, still charging me for 2 instead of the one I had. I am told I can get a refund next time I am in the store again. Next time I go back the woman in the "customer service" (yeah right) booth decides to leave the counter to put something in a basket by the security podium. Ok even though I am the only one at the counter I shrug it off. She comes back and I'm not even finished telling her why I am here, she starts exclaiming YOURE NOT GETTIN YO ,MONEY BACK! Whoa, chill out, I just, then she starts again. I ask for a manager she starts you ain't getting no manger cause you ain't getting your money back! You should have done that when it happened. I ask again for a manager, she says I told you, you ain't getting you're money back. Fine I figure I go home, I'll call and talk to a manger. Guess what? Two attempts, no manager answers. My 1st call no one answers the phone, the two other attempts no one ever comes to the phone after the initial hello. I decide to email target, rather than get a call from a manger or even at least an e-mail, I get an auto response about the over charge. This isn't the issue anymore, now I'm pissed! I try again, same thing no help. 2 visits, 3 phone calls, and 2 emails and I am shunned away from this store for $2.47. Crazy how you let your minimum wage and probably new employees run your customers away. read more

Just your average target. The location is right off the express way and it is super easy to find. The workers were really helpful and the store was very organized. read more

Ugh, Target, why do you have to be so messy? The experince you get at this location is very similiar to a Walmart experience. It's not that nice, peaceful stroll with a Starbucks that you dream about. It's always crowded and parking is a nightmare. Today I parked/walked in on the second floor since I was just getting groceries. The buggies by the door were disgusting, they were scattered around and a lot of them had food/trash in them. The little cafe place had its lights off around 3 o'clock. Maybe no one showed up for work? When I went to check out they only had two crowded lanes open while other Target employees were walking around not doing much of anything. I don't know what's going on, but I wish they'd get their act together! read more

I come here a lot for work and household items. The best time to come is first thing in the morning. Some people suggest parking in the garage but I find the elevators are slow at times and don't work occasionally. Yes, the store can be messy at times but what do you expect for a busy location like this. Most of the staff is friendly and the check out never takes long. I like using my red card and saving money. Always enjoy coming to Target! read more

It took me a handful of visits to this location over several years to finally acclimate myself to this Target. The two-story feature of this store really threw me off... it didn't have that classic Target feel that you find at all other locations. But at the end of the day, a Target is a Target and this one is really not all that different. It just takes a bit longer to learn the ropes here. On some trips I find the stock to be low and the shelves to be a bit disorganized. Staff is hit or miss too. read more

Recently remodeled including the addition of two new Starbucks (one upstairs, one downstairs), this is the Target I shop at most frequently. It's generally well-stocked for most things, but some food items are more sporadically missing from shelves. It's also almost always busy (no matter what time/day I go), which makes sense because it covers such a wide geographic area. Instead of parking in the garage, enter on the first floor from Veterans Blvd and park in the lot (much more convenient than having to take the elevator). read more

4/5 shine bright like a diamond. i only have a couple thoughts - 1. target is like a dying star. from the distance, it is so bright and inviting. then when you finally get there, it's actually already a blackhole and there's no escape. open your wallet! 2. if you only go down the aisles, and don't stand for a hot minute at each endcap, you are missing out. get yo clearance on, boo!! read more

I loved this Target. I needed a swimsuit and dress while I was in town and this two-story Target saved me! We ended up coming back for snacks for the group and it was well-stocked. Can get a little busy but that can be expected! read more

This is the only target I have EVER been in that SMELLS TO HIGH HEAVEN!!!!! As soon as you walk in the door it smells like STRAIGHT PISS!!!!! This target seriously needs to close down for like a week and do some deep cleaning and tear this carpet up! read more

I love Target and always find something to buy there. This particular target seemed to be really low on inventory for a lot of items and some of the shelves were a total mess. Yes, I went two days before Christmas, but I had been all over the mall and other stores that day and Target was the only one I had issues at. They were out of stock on most things we were looking at - men's shirts, toys, games. This is a two story target so nice there are plenty of check out options. Also two Starbucks. read more

I like going to Target because you don't have kids running amok, screaming wildly, or the cop car out front, implying that I should fear for my life. This Target store is like many other Target stores that I have been to. But what makes me like this one more than others is the easy parking in the structure out back. read more

Visited this store on Oct. 28th. The shoe department is deplorable. It was such a mess and there was evidence of someone having just eaten their lunch there. The other departments were neat and tidy. Can't understand why the store would let this condition exist. Can't help but figure this has something to do with the customers that frequent this store. No respect for the people who will follow them into this department. read more

Uggh!! I hate going to target, but I find some of the cutest cheap clothes here for both me and my son. I really do not enjoy the whole shopping at target experience, and I only go for the clothes especially sundresses and beach cover ups for festival season and summer time. They really need some more changing rooms, I waited for like ten minutes the last time I went, but I have to try the clothes on to avoid going back there to return things that don't fit. I mean, it's better than Wal-Mart, but I try my best to avoid both places. And don't order online because that's as much of a pain as going to the store and if you have to return something you going to end up going to the store anyway. read more

This Target is two stories huge but yet strangely empty at the same time. I frequent the grocery, wine, and beauty departments and let me tell you- the shelves are almost always lacking. The only positive I have for this place is that they have these cool automated ramps that will take your shopping cart up and down with you. Parking/getting in and out can sometimes be a nightmare given the intersection traffic and don't even bother with the restrooms- they're bad. You're better off going to the Harvey or Kenner locations, trust me. read more

First time at this store and unfortunately, a few things I was looking for were out of stock but its also back to school time and there were a lot of "buy 3 get 1 free" sales which I rhink played a factor. A few aisles had extra trash on the shelves (beverage containers, cans, etc) and some things were all out of place so took me a while to find the actual price for items. I will attribute that to the "sale frenzy" so I'll compare the organization of things next trip. Three checkout lanes around 8:45 pm made it a small ten minute wait for me. Convenient self checkout kiosks were open too for those with smaller orders. I didn't venture to the second floor but will check out the grocery section next time too. read more
