Went to try on some polo shirts and always good service at the Ralph Lauren Polo shop in shop, which could also handle transactions for other brands like Lacoste. Had some decent deals today and was able to custom order when the shop floor didn't have certain sizes. Plenty of parking in covered multi-story garage adjacent to the Macy's. Dept stores are in decline but it is nice to be able to try on different brands in one location instead of having to go from store to store. read more

I just recently (6/9/26) placed an order for pick-up from the store. They said I would receive it in 6-9 days. Today is 6/18/26 and I don't have it. I called and spoke with a lady on today 6/18/2026 because I had not received my order. So, she said she would contact the store in Portland Oregon and I should receive it by this week. Well, well, today is 6/25/26 and I still don't have my package. I just got off the phone with another lady who is now telling me to wait 3 to 5 days more days for an update. They keep asking me if I want a refund. NO I DON"T!! All I want is my order and this should not take this long. Why is it that nobody seems to know why I don't have my package. I even got the UPS tracking info and it is not showing anything. When I enter the order# info it says I should have received my package by 6/17/26. What in the hell is Macy's doing? Martha in the perfume section was very overbearing and interrupted while talking to the other associates that we actually liked. She kept correcting us about the scents and fragrances. Also the manager in the finish line section was very snobby and no help at all. Macy closes at 8pm and she shut down her register at 7:14pm on a wednesday while people were actively shopping. Macy's needs to make changes or they will keep losing customers. On the second floor they had 1 fitting room open and 1 checkout. Huge lines for both. No one to assist if you need another size. You would have to go to the other side of the store, find your size and then go back to stand in line for a fitting room and then stand in line for checkout. I went to buy one item (makeup), when I got to the counter the associate did not look up, she was looking at some paperwork so I stood there waiting for her to look up, there were NO CUSTOMERS, the store was pretty empty 5:30 pm, so I asked a question finally she looked up and waited on me. Shame Shame. So then on my way out first floor I see two associates in the shoe department talking, one of the employees is sitting on the counter eating a bag of chips. Went there to kill time waiting for our table to be ready at the Cheesecake Factory. Took us 20 minutes to even find anyone to assist us and the first person we found was rude so we left. My mother came all the was from St. Thomas, USVI for my commencement and finally found some decent Clarks shoes my grandma would've liked, but the service was enough to make us not want to purchase anything there. read more

Macy's is a fancy department store that never ceases to give me a thrill each time I come in. I have purchased a couple of fancy dresses from here, shoes, holiday items and so much more. Prices can be a bit on the high side, but the fashion will go out quicker than these clothes will wear out. They have some awesome sales during the holidays. 3 floors of jewelry, home décor, clothes, accessories, they have got it all going on. This location has easy access to the parking garage, so you don't have to wander the mall to get here. I do like to see all of the decorations set up for the holidays, it is always so festive in here. There seems to be plenty of staff around to help you with whatever you need. There are registers in every section to check out, and that seems to be fast and efficient. read more

Here's a quick shout out to this particular Macy's. I'm a long time Macy's customer and pretty much any city I visit, I will end up at Macy's because I need something I didn't pack or just want to see what that store's buyers have in stock. Saying that, I have been to some pretty sad Macy's stores around the U.S. Many are disorganized, over stuffed with clothing selections that are shoved on racks you can barely move, items on the ground, dirty restrooms ... you name it. However, this store is one of the good ones. I was super impressed walking around as everything was neatly hung, even on the clearance racks (SHOCK FACE!), the walls and floors were clean and take a deep breath ... the staff was helpful!!! That's right. They were pleasant AND helpful. I wish all Macy's stores were like this one. I will treasure my shopping experience with you, Metairie Macy's! Till the next time! read more

If you are looking for what happened to Kmart it's alive and well right here at the Mall. It's just called Macy's now. Fitting rooms? None really. If you find one is so crowded with clothes you can't get in. Employees look and act as if they're chained up and being beaten to preform. Dirty mess. Sad what this place has become. read more

Macy's is my kind of store. It's a big, fancy department store that isn't afraid of a sale. I decided to stop in here after Christmas to check out their "after Christmas" sales. They had a lot marked down, and although I was in the market for fancy shoes that I wasn't able to locate, I was still impressed by everything that they had to offer. The store itself is huge and has everything from clothing to higher end makeup, just like any department store. You are more likely to find "name brands" here than any other place. There is staff everywhere and I noticed that none of the checkout lines were super long, even though there were a good number of people in the place. They seem to be on top of things. One thing that I don't really like about this store is the parking garage. It's just oddly built and a little convoluted for the purpose it's trying to serve. I mean, I guess that it's convenient, because it's connected right to the store, but I would prefer a regular parking lot. I get it, they need a lot of levels for a store of that size. Macy's is massive. It has an incredible selection of clothes, housewares and jewelry, but it doesn't seem as organized as it should. I hadn't been to the Lakeside location since it opened, but I needed some fashionable Polo gear, so I headed on over. One of the biggest problems I had with Lakeside in the past was the lack of parking. Macy's solved that issue by building a giant parking garage adjacent to their store. I lucked out and found a spot on ground level, but the garage is a nice addition. The clothing selection, particularly the Polo line, was excellent. There were far more different styles to choose from than I was used to, and I spent a great deal of time in the store. One problem with that was the temperature of the store. I don't know if the air wasn't working, but it was far to hot to be trying on clothes. After an hour or so, I was sweating too much for comfort. If it would have been more comfortable I probably would've spent more money. Maybe it was a fluke, but it was too hot. The cashiers were reasonably friendly, but seemed disinterested in the customers. It didn't turn me off completely, but when spending that much money I would at least expect a smile. Again, maybe they were having a bad day because of the heat, but it left me a bit frustrated with my experience. In summary, if you want a department store with a great selection, come here. read more

Went to Macy's Lakeside tonight for a last minute dress for a wedding tomorrow. I knew exactly what I wanted, I had already ordered it for pick up tomorrow. Everyone was super nice and seemed to go the "extra" mile! So happy! Have not had this kind of customer service from Macy's in quite some time. The personal shopper, Jane even gave me her card and offered to help me tomorrow with canceling the on line order. The dress was even $10 less than it was when I purchased on line, so that put the cherry on top! Thank you Macy's for A1 service! The parking garage for Macy's(2nd &3rd level) always has a vacancy near the entrance. Yes, they're not cheap BUT yes the weekend and seasonal sales are sweet. I can only speak concerning clothing which is always the latest. I signed up for E-receipts which works better for me as I'm always losing or damaging the paper receipt(s). Regardless of Covid this Macy's is severely lacking is worker skill. The worker attitudes are about what you'd expect from a Walmart and their work speed is about as fast as a frozen snail. I am not sure about her name, but there is this particular middle aged, African American woman that works by the Men's department for Online Pickups/Refunds. Two times I have been there and she was quite rude. It was a slow day inside of the store. I saw more workers standing there chit chatting and complaining about customers, than actual customers. There was nobody in front of me or behind me. I had brought back a few things to return in that was still in the box. As a courtesy, I tried to get the packing slip receipt and the jackets out from the bottom of the box. She just snatched it out my hands and said that she could do it a lot more efficiently instead wasting time. o.O .. I have many stories about my bad experiences here, thus I now shop online and return or exchange in the stores. read more

If you are one of my Yelp friends you can see that everytime I go to Lakeside Mall I always park at Macy's. And most likely in the same spot because I'm getting old and a creature of habit so I park in the same spot every single time no matter what store I need to go to. It works for me, don't judge! Anywho, the parking is plentiful which is great because this is the busiest mall in the greater NOLA area in my opinion. Plus I get to walk through my favorite part of the department store, the purses and shoes! Now I'm not really a department store shopping kind of gal. If I know what I"m looking for then I refuse to pay retain unless there is a sale and will hunt something down at TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Stein Mart etc. But if I get a gift card at Macy's then I will be more than happy to use it! In fact for Christmas I received two gift cards here and treated myself to a rose gold Fossil watch with a large face. The sales lady was kind enough take out the links so it fit my tiny wrist. I have a penchant for huge watches which can be annoying bc I have such a small wrist. They have great customer service as well! When I had to return something for store credit I had one sales lady who walked me from her spot all the way upstairs to where I needed to be. I told her manager how awesome she was! Another bonus is that over the Christmas holiday when stores were open ridiculously late, I found that Macy's was open later than any store in the mall which was awesome because this is where I park! I have this fear of being trapped in the mall store and having to exit the store and circumvent the entire mall to get to my car walking aimlessly with my poor sense of direction in the dark! hehe...fortunately this never happens since I park at Macy's at the same spot and they're open late! Ok, enough about Macy's. Btw, I have been to the original Macy's in NYC and it is pretty mind boggling. Worst Macy's we have ever been in!! My husband and I were in Macy's Lakeside Mall in Sterling Heights Michigan, yesterday. 7/14/2019 Expecting to walk into what Macy's wants you to believe they portray. An upper class, nice, modern department store. BUT....It was such a disappointment and truly disgusting!!! Never, have WE EVER been in a Macy's that was such an awful, classless mess. There were absolutely no staff around to help, but more importantly...we felt like we walked into the most disorganized, dirty, awful "garage sale" ever! Not one area of the store was organized, and no one around to even care. Clothes were thrown over the racks, on the floor and even in the isles. And not just a few....they were EVERYWHERE, just laying in piles!! We live in Michigan part time and Florida part time and our Macy's in Daytona Beach, Florida should be proud of their store. It looks like a store out of a magazine as compared to this sad mess here in Sterling Heights. Didn't realize that Macy's in Sterling Heights, Michigan was turning into a bargain basement, lower class, bazaar store! The store manager and staff should be ashamed of themselves and embarrassed!! This is the third time I tried to go to this Macy's and buy shoes. They are not very busy but are adequately staffed to meet their store's demand. I left and walked across the mall to Dillard's. I am thankful. The selection there for men's clothes and shoes is so much better. I shopped at Macy's out of habit because it is nationally known and was available wherever I lived. Had to visit the store because the airlines lost our bags. Okay, I won't lie, it was Southwest. We walked in near the men's dept so we knocked my stuff out first. Great selection to choose from, I opted for casual and went straight for the Levi's section, easy to spot by the large logo on the wall. Grabbed a couple of shirts, socks and underwear and I was done. I was check out by "Rhonda" who was very pleasant and genuinely liked her job. We kidded about our crappy circumstances but she brightened our day. Next we trekked upstairs to the petite section for wifey..again, great selection and after bouncing around a few racks we she was gathering clothes and headed for the fitting room. Pants, a couple tops, underwear now the socks. This is what kept them from getting 5 stars. Apparently they just relocated the sock department. They haven't updated the signs near the escalators so we went up and down a few times and were redirected several times but found them near the shoes just before giving up. The cashier in the shoe department acted like he didn't want to ring us up because it want convenient so he told us he couldn't because we had a pair of shorts so we went back to Rhonda who took care of us again. False advertising. They say 40% off merchandise due to closing. Turns out to be false. I go for these khakis, store clerk says it doesn't apply although the sign right above says 40% off. Store clerk replied that it refers to "tailored pants, not dockers". I said than you should move that sign to the pants that are actually ON SALE. She said "sign stays there". What a SCAM! read more

I don't buy often from Macy's, but when I do I usually never have a problem. I tend to go look at shoes, watches, and bags. I've been on a hunt for an MK watch and this MK bag I've been wanting for a while. Maybe my mom and I should have gone on a regular day, but she was off for Black Friday. Michael Kors didn't have the bag I wanted with the correct hardware, and we had previously seen it sitting at Macy's not too long before. So we made our way back to purchase it. It took a while to figure out who was working, the young lady who was didn't make herself available to me. She was around the bag area the whole time just rearranging some bags on display. So I found someone who'd just clocked on to help me. I then proceeded to ask for a matching wallet and it's price. They claimed that they might not have it. Yet I saw it sitting out there in the glass case, which was why I asked. So they were surprised to find it was in stock. In a way I felt rushed checking out. They brought a brand new bag from the back room with the plastic wrap and stuff still on it. Same with the wallet, and I barely had a chance to browse the bag itself. Til I got home and sat there the next day staring. Then I noticed a dark brown stain on my MK satchel in luggage leather. The more I looked at it, the more noticeable it became. Not only that the gold plate where the lock sat on front had a very nice scratch on it. My friend told me to take it back to exchange. A bag that cost that much should be to my liking and that I shouldn't just settle. Went back out they let me stand around for a while as they conversed with the people in front of me. Then switched out cashiers to someone who was apparently new on the job. And guess who was around? The one who wouldn't help me the day before. Told her I wanted an exchange because of the stain and mark. Her face was stone cold and she went to the back to fetch a new one. Brought it back and dropped it in front of me and told me to look at it. Luckily for her, everything looked okay or else I would have sent her back in there to get me one til I was satisfied. Thought that would be the last I saw of her and no it wasn't. They forgot the sensor on the bag, so I had to go all the way back in to have it removed. I'm not upset with Macy's, just displeased with that one female worker. I still will be back, but just not when she's working. read more

And I ended up buying a very cozy robe that was 50% off. So I made out ok. Of the NOLA area Macy's, this one is my favorite. It is well laid out and has helpful employees. The perfume sales associates aren't overly pushy either. Buy when stuff is on sale... because it's Macy's. and mostly everything goes on sale once a month! They have escalators located in the middle of the store to take you up all 3 floors of merchandise. HUGE. Is the one word I can use to describe this store. Two levels and a covered 3 level parking garage. Location is good because it's right off the interstate and near a lot of restaurants. Ample parking. The store includes first floor beauty, make up, purses, jewelry, customer service and the entrance to the rest of the mall. The second floor has children's clothes, womens clothes, juniors, and home goods. Everything is pretty high quality. They have all your top name brands and you can always find a sale on SOMETHING here. They have checkouts through out the store and bathrooms on both levels which stay very clean. The store is very organized which makes it easy to get in and out according to what you need. They have a lot of people staffing this place but that doesn't always mean you're going to get somebody who's in the mood to help you. Look out for sales because otherwise you might kick yourself over the price tags. But like I said. Higher quality clothing for sure! read more

I feel desperate writing a review for a big box corporation like Macy's, but I have to say that I really received great treatment and service here recently. It's Macy's so I won't bother you with why I was there, (who cares), But, I will come back to the men's suit department next time I'm in need. The lady with the English accent was very very helpful.
