Everyone in that shop, employee or not, was super supportive and interested. They explained what and why each piece was as they helped me with my setup. They told me I was likely going to need much harder bushings than came in my trucks, but were not forceful about it. I tested the ones I had for about a week... they were absolutely right. I went back and bought new bushings from them after doing my research online. These guys were so awesome I want to support and give them all my business regardless, but they turned out to be a little bit cheaper than I had found online while learning about them. Just cannot say enough about these guys. I have a new hobby that my fat ass loves, been a pure joy from every aspect. If any of you reads this, thank you. We found a pair of stylish Adidas that fit the bill after a bit of searching and trying on. The staff was pretty helpful in locating the right size, and it wasn't long before my wife had her pair, and away we went back towards the hotel. It was very convenient that there was an Athlete's Foot on Canal Street; given the situation, so happy that we were able to find a clean, well-organized shoe store that was easy to navigate, ask for the right size, and get on with our stay in the Crescent City.

To my surprise, and honestly my disbelief, he never looked up, never responded, and never acknowledged me at all -- as if I wasn't even standing there. There was no excuse, no distraction, no crowd, no reason not to extend a simple courtesy like eye contact or a greeting. This wasn't just bad customer service -- it was flat-out disrespect. What made the situation even more unsettling is that his own staff, who were standing nearby, were the only ones who showed any kind of professionalism. One of them looked over and said, "Good evening." That moment spoke volumes. If your team has to pick up the slack for your lack of basic human decency, something is seriously wrong with how your business is being run. I've come here before and spent real money -- not just once, but many times -- because I believed in putting my dollars into businesses that represent our city, our people, and our culture. But it's hard to continue supporting a place when the owner himself can't even show an ounce of gratitude or humility to the very customers who keep his doors open. Three pair of sneakers caught my eye, but sizing was completely different between them all. I finally landed on a pair of Huaraches which I learned were brand new. Brought socks but left them at the hotel, so $20 for a pack of socks added to my bill. That's a little ridiculous, but price and demand, right? The sales ppl were nice, all spent a lot of time talking and preventing more than 4 customers in the door. The one helping me seemed new, but there was another guy who stepped in and helped with the sale and he sprayed my new kicks before I took them on the road too. Spent way more time than expected in here, and forgot to take pics, but the visit was worth it.
